グルメハンター・酔いどれ天使
Sapporo City, Higashi-ku, Kita 9-jo Higashi 4-chome 1-20, Sapporo City, Higashi-ku, Osaka Ohsho is located in the same premises as a large sports store. The red and yellow exterior walls stand out. There used to be several branches in Sapporo City, but it seems that this is the only one left. I used to visit the branch in Shinjuku 3-chome in Tokyo for a drink after work, but this is my first time here. It was a little after 12 pm on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant was already more than half full, almost risking having to wait for a table. When dining alone, they always direct you to the counter seats. There are several counter seats, table seats, and a raised seating area at the back. The majority of customers were office workers. The restaurant is completely non-smoking.
- A lunch set for 790 yen
- Grilled dumplings for 265 yen
There are three types of daily lunch specials: A, B, and C. On this day, A was half-fried rice with egg and today's noodles (spicy miso ramen). I also added grilled dumplings to my order. The dumplings were served first, with 6 pieces per serving. They looked appetizing, but the taste was not quite there. The filling was moist and the skin was thin, but the seasoning was a bit off. I tried adding vinegar and pepper, then sauce and chili oil to adjust the flavor.
The A lunch set arrived with spicy miso ramen, which included cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, greens, and wood ear mushrooms. The soup was average with nothing particularly noteworthy. The spiciness came from chili peppers and chili oil, but the soup lacked depth. It would have been better with some pork or other ingredients for more flavor.
The half-fried rice with egg was strangely dry and lacked the usual moist and flavorful coating. It felt like it had been prepared in advance and reheated. Fried rice should have a rich flavor from the oil and seasonings, but this one was lacking. Overall, the meal was disappointing. They need to step up their game.
