こきゅーんの気まぐれサラダ
During the day, I passed by and it was always full. At one point, they even ran out of soba. I've been wanting to go to "Bunmokudo" for a while now, but I always avoid going when it's crowded. I don't want various things to ruin my experience. The restaurant closes early, but finally, the opportunity came at night. Sake, appetizers, and soba! The most sophisticated dinner! It was a chilly evening, but I chose the zaru soba (cold soba with grated daikon) and enjoyed it with sake and appetizers while waiting. The fried grated yam was served piping hot, with the perfect balance of firmness and tenderness. Eating it while it's still hot, blowing on it, is a luxurious experience. I wish I could make something like this at home. The lotus root tempura and pickled ginger served alongside added to the sophisticated atmosphere. After a bottle of Heartland beer, I chose "Yamagata Masamune" sake for the night, and it was delicious. The sake cups were also lovely, making the experience even more luxurious. The prices are on the higher side, but the atmosphere and design of the place make it worth it. The interior design, from the sliding doors to the lighting, the half-dome ceiling in the restroom, and the copper sink counter, is delicate and nostalgic. The tables, the small garden, the furnishings, the flooring, all contribute to the well-designed space that maintains the essence of the old building while breathing new life into it. The zaru soba finally arrived, with a coarse texture that was both robust and delicate. The soy sauce-based dipping sauce was not too overpowering, allowing the flavor of the soba to shine. I decided to order the rolled omelet, which was apparently a specialty that took some time to prepare. The staff apologized for the wait, but in a leisurely evening meal like this, time spent waiting for the omelet was not a concern. When it arrived, the bright yellow rolled omelet had the perfect balance of firmness and tenderness, with a depth of flavor that surpassed homemade versions. It's difficult to achieve this level of softness in a rolled omelet. We indulged in sake and enjoyed the luxurious experience! The only downside was that despite the sophisticated atmosphere, the interior was quite bright, making it easy to observe other customers. It was a shame to see couples come to such a lovely restaurant and spend the evening silently on their phones. The slim soba, the appetizers, the service, the atmosphere, the seating - everything was impeccable. I can't wait to come back with another special person next time. That was my evening. ~~~~ Around 6200 yen for 2 people.
