Continuing from the battleship review, now it's time for the airplane reviewヽ( ・∀・)ノ. On this day, I went all the way to the northern part of Osaka... The reason why I went to the northern part was because I wanted to try "airplane watching" from the embankment of the Senrigawa River, which is quite close to the airport. Before heading to the airplane watching point from the station, I decided to inject some alcohol first. The day before, I checked my food log and found that there were 2 restaurants with high ratings... After much deliberation, I chose "Kuon" over the famous Uwajima Tai Meshi shop that my trusted reviewers had visited. I'll have to come back for the Uwajima Tai Meshi another day♪ The restaurant is about a 5-minute bike ride from Hankyu Okamachi Station, located quietly in a residential area.➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖★Menu★●Lunch Course ¥2700♦Appetizer (new potatoes, firefly squid, eggplant, kelp with roe)The appetizer was served in a small dish style with various wild vegetables and tree buds, making you feel the arrival of spring...♦Sashimi (first bonito, sea bream)Fresh bonito sashimi is a sign of freshness♪ The thickly sliced bonito had a satisfying texture, with just a hint of fishiness... The sea bream marinated in kelp had a strong kelp flavor!! Personally, I prefer a bit less kelp flavor.♦Soup (asari clams, fat greenling)I love asari clams♪ Spring is all about shellfish. The asari clams in a delicious broth couldn't be anything but delicious! Along with the clams was a type of wild vegetable called fat greenling, which had a unique aroma and texture.♦Grilled Dish (grilled salmon with miso)The moderately fatty grilled salmon was delicious. The standout was the fried fuki buds placed on top!! It beautifully tied the flavors of the whole dish together♪♦Rice Dish (bamboo shoot mixed rice, eggplant miso soup, pickles)Bamboo shoot mixed rice is my favorite♡ The seasoning was exquisite, and I couldn't stop eating♪ When I asked for seconds, they also brought crispy rice at the bottom. The eggplant miso soup had a slightly stronger flavor, balancing well with the mixed rice.♦Dessert (homemade warabi mochi)The homemade warabi mochi had a chewy and creamy texture♪ It was a high-level dessert for a Japanese restaurant!➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖♣️SummaryThe fact that you could enjoy such a elaborate Japanese course for ¥2700 (tax included) was truly astonishing!! The course included seasonal ingredients like wild vegetables, asari clams, and bamboo shoots, which I personally enjoyed♪ The chef, who runs the restaurant, may not talk much, but he was friendly when I spoke to him. Despite drinking a lot of sake from lunch onwards (as usual w), the bill came to around ¥4000 per person. It was a wonderful restaurant that made me want to visit again at night♪ After that, I bought some sweets from "Mori no Ohagi," a famous shop in Okamachi, and rode my bike (despite being under the influence of alcohol...) to finally go airplane watching... However, the sunny sky suddenly turned dark with black clouds, and by the time I reached the embankment of the Senrigawa River, a sudden torrential rainstorm hit((((;゚Д゚))))))) Thanks to that, I got completely drenched, but I was extremely excited to see the airplanes up close on that day in Aprilヽ( ・∀・)ノ. Oh, if you're looking for a lunch spot in Okamachi, I highly recommend this place without a doubt! Toyonaka is not to be underestimated w. Thank you for the meal☆
