よこときのこ
I moved to Kansai for a job assignment and had my first lunch here on the way to my new place. I've been here once before, so this is my second visit. This time, I came with a friend to help me out! Even though it's lunchtime, I was a bit tired from the morning, so I started with a bottle of beer to cheers! For food, I ordered the lunch set with gyoza. The lunch set C includes your choice of ramen, gyoza, and rice for ¥300. The gyoza comes in a set of 6 and has the typical taste of gyoza you'd expect. It's crispy and light, making it a great accompaniment to beer! I opted for no rice with my set. I chose the tsukemen with extra chashu and medium size for ¥1000 + ¥100. The thick noodles are made from whole wheat flour and have a smooth texture. The dipping sauce is a seafood-based with a medium level of thickness and a hint of sweetness, making it easy to eat. The toppings include chashu, diced chashu, menma, seaweed, naruto, and green onions. The extra chashu topping is quite large and adds a nice chewiness. I ordered the shio ramen with all toppings for ¥1100. The shio ramen has thin straight noodles with a slightly firm texture. The soup is light, almost on the thin side. The toppings include chashu, menma, seasoned egg, seaweed, white negi, and bean sprouts. It's a refreshing ramen that would be great after a drink. The interior of the restaurant plays MJ-related music, which was comfortable for me and my friend who love MJ. Next time, I'll try the tonkotsu ramen.
