It's Golden Week, so it's time to show some filial piety to your wife and grandmother. Let's go for a day trip to Noboribetsu Onsen. We drove through Lake Shikotsu and enjoyed the drive, passing by a trendy-looking shop along Route 235 that had a 2-hour wait. Oh well. Since we're already here, let's head towards Upopoi. Along the way, we spotted a place called Ushi no Sato. We decided to give it a try, even though the entrance looked like a butcher shop. Ignoring the butcher shop, we headed to the left where the entrance to the restaurant was. It's a bit hard to tell that the entrance is through the butcher shop. We were told there were about 5 groups ahead of us, and they would call us when our turn came. We left our name and went out for a bit. While wandering around at the Shiroi Road Station, we got a call. We quickly returned to the restaurant. We were seated at a slightly raised table. In the middle, there was a charcoal grill already set up. Each person had their own tongs set up. This one-person-one-tongs setup seems to be quite common now. I hope reviewers who are fans of Sapporo's meat shops and restaurants will take note of this. We looked at the menu. The prices were quite high. Since we were already there, we decided to order the Shiroi Beef Yakiniku 3 Variety Set with Ushi no Sato Beef Hamburg Set for 2,500 yen (tax included). Rice was not included, so we added a medium-sized rice. After a short wait, the sauce and condiments were served. The rice was also served. There was quite a lot of food. The Shiroi Beef Yakiniku 3 Variety Set arrived. Top sirloin, chuck flap, and thigh meat were included. It looked delicious. We started grilling the top sirloin first, and it cooked quickly, becoming round and juicy, enhancing its flavor. It was really delicious. The thigh meat also cooked quickly and was very tasty. The thick chuck flap was served last. It was thick, so we were advised to cut it with scissors. I noticed some tough parts, but it was still delicious with plenty of fat. As we were enjoying the meal, the Beef Hamburg was served. It was quite tasty, with a tomato-based sauce that had a slight sourness to it. The hamburger was soft and surprisingly easy to eat. I think changing the sauce could bring out a different side of it. We thoroughly enjoyed the Shiroi Beef. Thank you for the meal. They accept card payments.

I arrived at the restaurant in Shiraoi Town around 7 pm for dinner. It seemed like a place that mainly serves lunch as there was only one other group of customers. I ordered a set of hamburger and yakiniku with a draft beer and small rice. The beer, sauce, hamburger, meat, and rice all arrived promptly. Along with the sauce, they also served mountain wasabi, which is typical of Hokkaido. Even though I ordered a small rice, it seemed like a regular portion, which is a common thing in local restaurants. The hamburger, which I had heard good things about, was indeed very tasty. The meat was tender and the sauce was delicious with a perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness that made the rice go down easily. They also offered to-go hamburgers for around 1000 yen for 4 pieces, but I highly recommend getting some extra sauce as well. The yakiniku included sirloin and the daily recommended assortment, which on that day was thigh and chuck flap. The sirloin had a good balance of marbling and a sweet fat content. The thigh had a bit of sticking to the grill, but had just the right amount of fat for me. The chuck flap was block-shaped with a lot of beef fat, making it quite heavy and taking longer to cook. It was quite fatty, and I found it a bit too heavy, but with the scissors provided, I managed to finish it. Just be careful when using the scissors on the grill as the meat might fall through the gaps. Although the hamburger and yakiniku set was a good deal, I thought it would be nice to have a lighter meat option to pair with the hamburger.

I came to "Upopoi" with my friends, and the food court inside was crowded, so I searched on Tabelog and found a delicious looking restaurant serving Shiraoi beef. When I entered the restaurant, I could smell charcoal and the pleasant aroma of grilled meat. I ordered the "Gyuno Sato Hamburger Set" (which includes three cuts of Shiraoi beef) and a half portion of rice. They started a charcoal fire and placed the grill on top. After a while, the Shiraoi beef arrived and as it started grilling, a wonderful aroma filled the air. Once it was cooked, I dipped it in a light soy sauce dressing and it was truly delicious. The fat was so tasty, it was the first time I felt that way. I couldn't resist adding some rice to the mix. The hamburger arrived and when I inserted my chopsticks, it cut easily without any effort. The slightly sweet sauce paired perfectly with it. I finished everything. After the meal, they served hot barley tea to cleanse the palate. It was a delicious meal. I will definitely visit again.

White old town, known for its connection to racehorses. I used to choose their hamburg steak as a return gift for hometown tax every year since I first tried it and liked it. This time, I decided to try their White Old Town beef at the main store. The shop entrance is small, but the restaurant is spacious and relaxing. The benches even have heaters, so your bottom stays warm. I had the weekday lunch special, which is a grilled beef set. I also added a hamburger on the side. The White Old Town Beef Grilled Lunch Set costs 2900 yen, and the Beef Hamburger is 748 yen. The lunch set comes with salad, rice, and miso soup, and the beef portion is 120g, including top sirloin and short rib cuts. The meat was tender when grilled, and I could taste the umami flavor of the lean meat. The beef hamburger was juicy and tender, even bigger than the return gift ones. The grilled beef was a bit pricey, but I was satisfied with the taste of White Old Town beef. I will definitely use their return gift service again in the future!

A notice was posted in the JR train magazine from New Chitose Airport to Shiraoi. The day was planned for visiting Upopoy, arriving at Shiraoi Station around noon. After dropping off luggage at the accommodation, a walk of less than 10 minutes was taken in the opposite direction to have lunch. Despite thinking it was a bit early at 11:30, there were reservations for two groups - a travel agency tour and a cooperative association inspection trip. With only 4 seats left, two people managed to sit down at the counter. They ordered the advertised lunch set with grilled meat for 220 yen, which could be upgraded with a drink, including soft drinks, oolong tea, and even red wine. Although made with Shiraoi beef, it lacked elegance in taste. The challenge was the lack of exhaust hoods, so depending on where you sit, you might be surrounded by smoke. There are no other dining options in Shiraoi besides the facility itself, making the lunch set a good value for Upopoy sightseers. However, as a popular lunch spot for group tourists near a large tourist facility, it is advisable to check the availability of seats before going there during lunchtime.

Ventilation couldn't keep up, so a fan is a must. Beer ( ゚Д゚)ノ Classic medium-sized glass for 550 yen. Beer goes well with meat ((´∀`)) Ahaha. Weekday limited lunch for 2310 yen. Shiraoi beef & vegetables / rice / salad / miso soup. Leave the meat to us, 120g grilled over charcoal. While leisurely grilling at your own pace, enjoy the crispy salad with watercress, lettuce, and crunchy onions. There are 3 types of meat, lean and beautifully marbled. Although there is sauce, simple salt and pepper are enough for such good meat! Vegetables include onions, pumpkin, bell peppers, and thick shiitake mushrooms. The sausage is slowly heated at the end until the skin is crispy and the juices burst out. The miso soup with wakame is delicious with a hint of dried bonito. Thank you for the delicious meal (^ω^)

As soon as you enter, there is a meat market. There are sunken kotatsu tables, magazines, and even some solo diners. We shared the White Beef Ribeye Steak Set 160g for 4840 yen and the White Beef Yakiniku Lunch Set 120g for 2900 yen. The meat was juicy with good marbling, but I wished it had a bit more flavor. The dressing on the charcoal-grilled salad was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I had the opportunity to eat yakiniku at a place called "Gyuu no Sato" with a customer. The set included about 10 large slices of meat, sausages, vegetables like onions, shiitake mushrooms, and green peppers, rice, and miso soup, all for 2,900 yen including tax. The charcoal used to grill the meat had just the right heat, and it brought out the best in the premium beef called "Shiraoi beef." As someone who usually eats cheap meat, I was a bit surprised by the amount of fat, but I was very satisfied with the yakiniku at Gyuu no Sato, which I had been wanting to try for a while. It was a lunch that made me very happy.

I went to a highly-rated beef restaurant for lunch on a weekday. I ordered the weekday yakiniku lunch, which came with marbled premium beef and lean meat. The lean meat was delicious, and I personally preferred it over the premium beef. The rice was also tasty, which was a plus. It's been a while since my last visit! I wanted to do a burger comparison, so I went on a burger hopping adventure haha. I originally came for the yakiniku burger that used to be available here, but I was told that it's been gone for a while now. They currently only offer two types of burgers, one with a 100% beef patty on rye bread and the other on a bagel. I ended up getting one of each to go - Rye bread sandwich for 650 yen and Bagel sandwich for 650 yen.

I visited this restaurant for lunch. They serve "Shiraoi beef," which is sold directly. When I arrived, I was seated at a small counter-like table in a spacious area and given the menu. Inside, I noticed the staff having a meeting with a supplier, and the rest of the staff seemed busy taking orders for bento boxes, paying little attention to the customers. I ordered the recommended yakiniku lunch (2,100 yen excluding tax). It came with plenty of vegetables and the meat was tender! The high ratings are definitely justified. The quality of the meat was outstanding, almost as if it fully showcased the efforts of the ranch. However, I felt that the poor customer service was ruining the experience. If they improve in that aspect, I have no doubt they will receive even higher praise. Thank you for the meal! 🚶‍♂️

I went to Shiraoi. I didn't have much time as I was in between work, but Shiraoi beef is famous so I decided to go to the beef village. The place seemed to have expanded since the last time I visited, with more dining areas. I checked the menu to see if there was something like a lunch option, but the prices were over 2000 yen. The only affordable option was the hamburger steak, which was around 1000 yen with rice. The hamburger steak had a sauce that tasted like grated ponzu. The meat was good quality, but the sauce was overpowering and I couldn't quite understand the taste. I'm not sure if it was my taste buds or the dish itself. I guess I just ate it as a souvenir of my trip. I felt that even if the prices were high, a menu like yakiniku would have been a better choice.

Tonight's dinner and sake appetizer are here!! When I traveled from Muroran to Shiraoi the other day, I bought this item. Whenever I go to Shiraoi, I always end up buying it - it's the "Gyuu no Sato" frozen hamburger. Because it can be stored, I can eat it anytime I want. I thaw it halfway and then slowly cook it in a frying pan over low heat. Today's hamburger comes with Gyuu no Sato's special sauce, so I'm looking forward to that flavor as well. Once it's cooked, I'll dig in right away. I believe that cooking it from semi-thawed helps ensure that the inside is cooked through properly even if the outside is crispy. I'll pour the sauce over it. When I put my chopsticks in, it cuts easily because it's very tender. When I take a bite... Hamburger!!! The meat juice and beef flavor spread through my mouth instantly. The sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, not too salty. It goes really well with the hamburger. Oh no, this hamburger is delicious! I've never felt it was this delicious before. The sake also goes down really well (laughs). I cooked four, so it's two per person. It disappeared in no time (laughs). I have more hamburgers that I bought, so I can enjoy them again sometime. Looking forward to it. It was a great sake appetizer! It was delicious!! Thank you for the meal♪

I had a meeting with a client in Tomakomai and decided to have lunch at Ushi no Sato. I didn't have any prior information about the place, but it seems to be quite a famous restaurant. Luckily, I didn't have to wait this time of year, but I heard it can get crowded during lunchtime. Today, I ordered the "Weekday Limited Yakiniku Lunch" and added the "Shiraoi Beef from Takeda Ranch Premium Yakiniku (100g)" as an extra. The meat was incredibly delicious with no complaints. Grilling over charcoal definitely enhances the flavor more than using gas. The yakiniku sauce was a bit light, so I recommend trying the meat with salt to fully enjoy its deliciousness!

On a holiday drive with no particular destination in mind, we ended up in Shiraoi. We decided to stop by Shiraoi beef, known for its delicious meat. We arrived just in time for lunch, and although the regular seating was fully booked, we were offered a relaxing tatami room. We ordered a set meal for two (momo) with drinks, which came with rice, miso soup, and salad. The meat was so tasty that we ended up ordering more. Shiraoi beef is really delicious! On the way back, we took a leisurely drive along the coast instead of the highway. Thanks to Shiraoi beef, it turned out to be a very luxurious holiday. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Famous Shiraoi beef. I had lunch there while driving nearby. The restaurant was spacious and crowded with many customers. I had the weekday barbecue lunch, and the meat was tender and very delicious! It was so tasty that it's worth going all the way to Shiraoi. They also sell beef, but I was still early in my trip so I didn't buy any. I'm curious about trying their hamburger next time. I definitely want to eat there again.

I went on a day trip from Sapporo to Noboribetsu Onsen and stopped by for lunch. When I arrived at the restaurant around 10:45 am, three groups were already ordering hamburgers. The restaurant had three types of specialty hamburgers, so I decided to order all of them. After waiting in my car for about 10 minutes, the burgers were brought out to me. I tried them all and they were all delicious, but the best one was the yakiniku burger. I will definitely visit again.

I wanted to eat stew after seeing the menu of Nagareboshi-san, but it seems like stew comes and goes on the menu. The radish from the garden is a nice touch. The rice and miso soup are delicious. I don't need the hamburger, I want natto! (laughs) I'll post on Instagram while drinking tea! I showed it to the cute waitress and got a 100 yen discount! Today, I'm just here for a work lunch, so I ask the staff if they have any menu options around 1,000 to 1,500 yen. They offer a set with hamburger and grilled beef bowl, so I decide to try the hamburger, which is commonly seen at highway service areas. - Beef Hamburger Lunch (with rice and miso soup) 1,150 yen The small-sized hamburger, about 100-120g, is tender with a slight chewy texture. It has a minimal amount of binder and the seasoning is subtle, but the flavor of Wagyu beef is not very prominent. The sauce has a tangy taste with a hint of ketchup. It's not bad, but I feel like a bit more of the Shiraoi beef flavor, even if it's a bit overwhelming, would enhance the impact. What surprised me was the deliciousness of the "white rice". It's cooked fluffy and the sweetness of the rice stands out. The rice alone was delicious. The service was polite and pleasant, and I felt like coming back, but I think it's better to come prepared with a proper budget to enjoy Shiraoi beef barbecue or steak at this restaurant. I got a 100 yen discount for posting on Instagram, so I posted right away. The bill came to 1,050 yen... Lucky me!

It is no exaggeration to say that Shiroi Wagyu is a representative breed of cattle in Hokkaido. You can enjoy fresh Shiroi Wagyu grilled over charcoal. This time, I had the fillet, sagari, and sirloin. With a little salted lemon and mountain wasabi on top... it's a sure bet. Thank you for the meal.

I used to travel to various places in Hokkaido 5-6 years ago. This is Ushinosato in Shiraoi Town. They serve steak, yakiniku, and hamburgers made from Shiraoi brand beef. I remember that the prices were still reasonable around 10 years ago. I'd love to go back there again.
