I had heard rumors about it, but I finally had the opportunity to visit "Korean Restaurant Iruru" for the first time. When I looked at their website, it mentioned that the restaurant has roots in the famous Korean cuisine specialty store "Hanmi Ichi," which has been in Osaka's Tsuruhashi area for over forty years, and that the chef, Park Samsung, was the first woman to obtain a first-class license in Korean cooking skills. This place seemed like the real deal, with its reputation as a top restaurant and being featured in the Bib Gourmand guide. I knew it would be crowded. The specialty here is the ginseng chicken soup, and the "Hanmi Ichi's Ginseng Chicken Soup" is a registered trademark. I started with a glass of draft beer to toast! It was delicious. I ordered kimchi, namul, and potato salad as appetizers. Everything was tasty, and the drinks kept flowing. I couldn't resist switching to makgeolli. There were various types, and I started with the regular Iedon makgeolli. I enjoyed it with steamed pork and chapchae. Next, I tried the tiger makgeolli, which was supposed to be "spicy." It wasn't bad, but it tasted different from what I expected from makgeolli. Still, it went well with the food. Finally, the "Hanmi Ichi's Ginseng Chicken Soup" arrived. When the server opened the lid and exclaimed, "Sankakutang!" (meaning "It's the best!"), it was so fun and enjoyable. We all shouted "Sankakutang!" together, and the soup was truly the best. It was unlike any ginseng chicken soup I had tried before. It felt like it had transcended into the realm of the best cuisine. Normally, that would be the end of the meal, but I wanted more to drink, so I had another glass of Iedon makgeolli. For snacks, we ordered changja and chinopan, with the chinopan being exceptionally delicious with its cheese, seaweed, and bread combination. It was amazing. I was completely satisfied. The food was not only delicious but the server was incredibly cheerful and kind. Their love for the restaurant was evident, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. It was truly a fantastic restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal!! I hope I can make a reservation for the next visit too (fingers crossed) ===========

It included 14 appetizers such as homemade Korean seaweed tsukudani, white cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprout namul, spinach namul, Tokushima seaweed namul, perilla leaf namul, seasonal namul, kimpake, jajang, japchae, bulgogi, seafood jeon, and Park Sangjun's samgyetang. I went to a proper Korean restaurant for the first time. I was happy that I could eat a lot of vegetables without feeling too full. Each namul dish had its own unique taste. The wakame was delicious. Wrapping the bulgogi in lettuce and eating it was so tasty, especially with the sweet chapchae adding to the harmony. The samgyetang at the end was light and easy to eat, maybe because it was just chicken broth, but it was so delicious. There are many shops in front of Fukushima station, making it a fun and lively area. Walking down the narrow streets to find a restaurant was enjoyable. It was good, really good.

This restaurant is famous for its Samgyetang, but their Cajun dish is also delicious. It tends to sell out quickly, so be sure to go early! This time, I ordered a half size and kept eating until the flavor was gone (lol). Since it was our second stop, we finished off with Chapchae! Next time, I'll come back for the Samgyetang!

I thought I would eat lightly but ended up feeling full. Although I didn't try the famous ginseng chicken soup, all the dishes paired well with beer and rice and were delicious. Each dish has a good portion size, making it perfect for sharing with about four people. There are many delicious Korean restaurants in this area, but this one has a nice atmosphere and is a pleasant place to drink.

I finally made it to Samgyetang on my second try! What a gentle flavor. The soup had a rich taste, and the tender chicken meat just fell apart and absorbed the flavor. It was very delicious. I apologize, but despite ordering three servings, it felt a bit small. I heard that two servings were enough to fill you up last time, so I was a bit disappointed.

Tori Paitan was amazing! It's a hot spot in a hot area! It was my first time visiting, but it was just as my senior recommended - fantastic! I will definitely recommend it as my "go-to" spot from now on. I heard they also have a location in Ebisu, which is perfect because I go there 2-3 times a week. I will definitely be visiting again. Here, I recommend the Korean restaurant! They serve Korean-style dishes but with adjustments for the Japanese palate. The Samgyetang has more glutinous rice, and the Ganjang-gejang is seasoned like ikura, which is familiar to Japanese people. The Bossam is also delicious and wonderful in flavor.

The Samgyetang was outstanding! The soup was light but had a rich depth, and the hot Samgyetang was excellent. The Kimbap was smaller than expected but tasted good, and the Korean seaweed tsukudani served as an appetizer was delicious and addictive. The Kimchi was surprisingly spicy, which I liked. I'm curious about other menu items and will definitely visit again!

I love Korean cuisine. When watching Korean dramas, I see a lot of delicious Korean dishes that the actors enjoy so much. I've always wanted to try authentic Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup). Finally, I was able to visit this restaurant! It's a renovated traditional house, with counter seats on the first floor. We were guided to the second floor, which was fully packed. Clearly, it's very popular! We started with a toast with beer and enjoyed some seasoned Korean seaweed as an appetizer. It was delicious! Of course, we ordered the Samgyetang. We also had a variety of kimchi, namul, chapchae, and bulgogi. I was tempted by the Kejjan, but I couldn't wait to try the Samgyetang. The kimchi had a great umami flavor and a mild spiciness that was easy for everyone to enjoy. The chapchae was delicious, and the bulgogi was amazing! When the Samgyetang arrived, I forgot to take a picture of the whole chicken, but it was so tasty! The soup and chicken were both amazing. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The bubbly makgeolli had a slight acidity that complemented the meal perfectly. I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I made a reservation two weeks ago and finally visited this restaurant. Since it specializes in Samgyetang, you need to order for the number of people. We ordered Namul platter, Chapchae, and Samgyetang. They prepared the Samgyetang by shredding the chicken and plating it after it was cooked. The chicken broth seeped out, and it was very delicious!

When I go overseas, I usually get tired of the food in the countries I visit, but I never get tired of Korean food. I visited "Korean Restaurant Hairu," which has been awarded the prestigious "Michelin Bib Gourmand." The main branch in Tsuruhashi is very popular with a waiting list of six months, but the Fukushima branch is not as well-known, so you can easily make a reservation even on weekends. It's a bit disappointing that they don't offer "panchan" (free refills of appetizers), but the Korean seaweed served as a starter was surprisingly delicious. The kimchi was not too spicy and not overly fermented, with a delicious and clever flavor. The famous ginseng chicken soup was very filling, with a gentle and light seasoning filled with ingredients like Korean ginseng and wolfberry. The rice was plentiful, giving a satisfying meal. The staff kindly cut the food into easy-to-eat pieces, which was appreciated. It's a fulfilling meal without feeling heavy, and it's delicious. They also offer set courses, but other than Gal Sone, I think this and the kimchi are enough for most women! The Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) was generously served, making it a great value for those who want to eat healthily and be satisfied. I think it might be tough to walk in, so be sure to make a reservation and give it a try!

I saw Yannyeom Kejang on Instagram and wanted to try it, so I visited the restaurant for the first time. When I made a phone reservation, they told me the price of Kejang, which left a good impression. When I actually went to the store, the staff were energetic and came quickly when I rang the bell, providing excellent service. However, in terms of taste and price of the dishes, I personally felt that the taste did not quite match the price. The taste was similar to other restaurants, and the portion size of each dish was small. I also wanted to try Samgyetang, but they said it had to be ordered for the number of people present. Since there were three of us, ordering three portions of Samgyetang seemed too much and we couldn't try other dishes, so we gave up. It was mentioned on Instagram that they wanted to make Samgyetang their specialty, so I would be happy if they reconsidered the portion size to make it more manageable.

JR Fukushima Station is about a 15-minute walk away. It's a bit far. The restaurant is located in the old house district. Please be careful of the steep stairs and narrow toilet entrance. I ordered the 5000 yen Samgyetang course on the second floor. First, kimchi and namul are served. Japanese beer is still delicious. I was surprised by the small size of the kimbap. A bit of snow crab is also served. Chapchae also came out. The first Samgyetang had a salty taste and herbal flavor. There was one Korean ginseng in it. I also had makgeolli in a kettle. I ended up feeling full after all. The atmosphere was busy and I couldn't relax.

I was shopping at a Korean supermarket with a friend who loves Korean food, and we found pouches of samgyetang. I mentioned that I couldn't eat it because I had a bad experience in the past, but my friend suggested going to a famous restaurant in Fukushima. Exactly at 5 pm, the door opened, and we were seated at a spacious counter. I ordered tiger makgeolli, but it wasn't to my liking. I switched to Korean makgeolli, which was delicious. Since we were just two girls and small eaters, we decided to order a la carte instead of a course menu. The appetizer was seaweed namul, which was sweet and savory, perfect for pairing with rice and alcohol. We also ordered a kimchi platter, namul platter, japchae, and samgyetang. The namul was made with seaweed, something I had never seen before, but it was tasty. The kimchi was mildly spicy and refreshing. The japchae had a nice sweetness to it and was delicious. As for the samgyetang, it was served in a pot and required ordering for the number of people. The soup was gentle and flavorful, the chicken was tender, and the glutinous rice was fluffy. It was the best Korean dish I had ever tasted. The restaurant's name, Hanilgim, was recommended by many people as the best place for delicious Korean food. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy the seaweed namul on my way out, but I will definitely get it next time.

I went to a popular restaurant for the first time after making a reservation. The place was almost full when I arrived, so I was glad I made a reservation. I had high expectations for the food, but honestly, it was a bit disappointing. The cost performance was higher than a regular Korean restaurant, but it didn't seem like they were particular about the ingredients. It felt like a normal Korean restaurant. The best part was the staff, especially the female staff who were very kind and efficient. We ordered steamed pork, chapchae, and samgyeopsal, but the pork in the steamed pork was tender but the meat was dry and not very tasty. The samgyeopsal was also dry on the surface. I left feeling a bit disappointed.

The course with Samgyetang for 5000 yen is such a great deal, it even comes with Gejang! Everything is delicious. Be careful though, you might get full before reaching the Samgyetang! I had it with Chamisul. Reservation is a must, especially on weekends.

The course of Samgyetang. Perhaps due to visiting the second ladder while slightly tipsy... I ended up getting full just from the appetizers like kimchi, namul, raw fresh ginseng, kimbap with salmon roe, steamed pork, etc. (Luckily the spicy raw crab was sold out) And then the main dish "Samgyetang, Chego! (the best)" was served with a shout, unveiling a beautifully presented whole chicken in the pot. The clear and refreshing soup packed with chicken flavor was enjoyable, but I couldn't eat much of the main part (chicken stuffed with glutinous rice) because I was already full. I want to go back next time in perfect condition!

This day, after work, I went out for dinner with my friends at the restaurant "Korean Restaurant Iru"♪ This restaurant specializes in Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and is known for being the first female Korean cooking skills license holder in Osaka, inheriting the taste from the female owner of "Kanmiichi" in Tsuruhashi. We had made a reservation in advance and arrived at 7:00 pm. The restaurant has 8 counter seats on the 1st floor and 20 table seats on the 2nd floor. We sat at the counter and started with a toast with a glass of draft beer♪ I was unsure of what to order, but the "Samgyetang Course at Korean Restaurant Iru" was just perfect for us. It's a course that can be ordered for two people on the day itself. The course included various appetizers such as homemade Korean seaweed tsukudani, various types of kimchi, namul (seasoned vegetables), live blue crab kejang, kimba, Iru's japchae, Wagyu beef bulgogi, and steamed pork (bossam). We started with the appetizers and then moved on to the kejang, which was delicious. The sweet taste of the blue crab and the soy sauce flavor were excellent. We then enjoyed dishes like kimbap, chapchae, bulgogi, and bossam. Finally, the main dish, samgyetang, was served. The soup, made with a large chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, ginseng, and jujube, had a great medicinal effect. The staff helped shred the chicken for us to eat easily. The gentle flavor and the combination of chicken and glutinous rice were delightful. The course was very fulfilling, and we left the restaurant feeling warm and satisfied on this cold day. Located a 5-7 minute walk from Shin-Fukushima Station, there is a Korean restaurant called "Korean Shokudo". This popular restaurant specializes in Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and has received high ratings at all of its branches. It was selected as one of the top 100 Asian Ethnic West restaurants in 2022. Samgyetang is only available for a minimum order of two people, so reservations for two or more people are required. However, it is relatively easy to make a reservation by phone, which is a nice point. We tried the Samgyetang, Kimchi assortment, and Wagyu bulgogi. The sweet and savory Wagyu bulgogi had a wonderful texture and a delicious taste without any unpleasant smell. When wrapped in lettuce and eaten, it was incredibly delicious. The main dish, Samgyetang, was cooked until the chicken was tender and served with chewy rice, creating a satisfying and flavorful dish with a gentle broth and the unique umami of the chicken. I often go to my favorite restaurant! The mukbap, samgyupsal, and kimchi are delicious. It's better not to order too much at once because you can get quite full. For the samgyetang, it's best to order one serving per person, as it can make you quite full without feeling heavy. I really like it.
