Returning to Osaka from Kanazawa, my wife and I decided to go out for pizza after a long time! It was my first visit to Pizzeria Assodayamaguchi in Nakazakicho, which I had bookmarked before. The address of Pizzeria Assodayamaguchi in Nakazakicho is 9-5 Kurosakicho, Kita-ku, Osaka, a 2-minute walk from Nakazakicho Station on the Osaka Metro. The restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 pizza restaurants in the Tabelog Pizza 100 list for 2023.
We arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 pm. Closed on Mondays *Closed on Tuesdays as well (may be closed on public holidays, open on the following day). Business hours: 12:00-14:30 (L.O) 15:30 (closing) 17:30-21:30 (L.O) 22:30 (closing). The restaurant may close early if they run out of dough.
There were 14 people waiting outside. Lunch reservations on weekends and holidays start at 12:00, and it is recommended to make a reservation if you have plans. As we waited in line, the staff brought us the menu, which included limited menu items in addition to the regular pizza menu. There were also appetizers, desserts & coffee, and drink menus. During lunchtime, there are special deals on appetizers, salads, and drinks.
As we progressed in line, we were allowed to take photos after disinfecting our hands with alcohol at the entrance. The owner, Mr. Yamaguchi, and the staff were cheerful and made us feel comfortable. We ordered appetizers (5 kinds + prosciutto for 2 people), Margherita S.T.G., and Chichinie Pomodoro.
The appetizers arrived first, and the presentation was fantastic! The prosciutto was sliced thinly with an artistic touch. The appetizers included prosciutto, lemon-marinated octopus, meat pate, and marinated red snapper and vegetables. After finishing the appetizers, the Margherita pizza arrived. The aroma of the freshly baked pizza was delightful! The crust was perfectly puffy, and the pizza had a great balance of flavors. The Chichinie Pomodoro, with anchovies, garlic, cherry tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, black olives, oregano, and basil, was also delicious.
The attentive staff brought us chili oil, which enhanced the flavors. We enjoyed the meal to the last bite and thanked the staff at Pizzeria Assodayamaguchi in Nakazakicho before leaving.
Thank you for reading until the end m(_ _)m I hope this information can be somewhat helpful for your gourmet experiences.
