Visited "Arabiya Coffee" in Namba, Osaka. It's a charming café with a traditional Osaka vibe. The sign outside reads "World Coffee Arabiya," which is quite amusing upon closer inspection. The interior has a few counter seats and tables, where locals are engaged in lively conversations. The staff seats us and we order from the menu. The master takes our order with great care and we wait for our food. After a short wait, our order arrives. First up is the Arabiya Sandwich (940 yen), a beautifully presented sandwich with ham, eggs, and toast. It looks delicious and tastes even better, with the perfect combination of crispy bread, ketchup, and ham. Next, we have the Blend Coffee (550 yen), a slightly acidic coffee that becomes smooth and mellow with a touch of milk. Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We pay using PayPay and leave satisfied. Will definitely come back again. Thank you for the great meal!

I stopped by "ARABIYA" for a break at 3 o'clock. It is a long-established store founded in 1951 and well-known among those in the know. As it was still hot, I wanted to drink iced coffee, so I ordered one with a strong bitterness and acidity. I also tried their Dutch coffee and homemade pudding. Rating: ★★★★☆ 3.5 points. I visited the restaurant around 12:05 PM on Sunday. There were 5 customers already seated and 15-16 customers arrived after me. I was seated on the second floor. I ordered an Arabiya sandwich (940 yen), homemade pudding (770 yen), and an iced coffee (660 yen). The iced coffee arrived after 10 minutes, followed by the homemade pudding after 3 minutes. The pudding was a traditional custard pudding with a nice firm texture and a subtle sweetness from eggs, milk, and vanilla beans. The caramel had a good balance of richness and bitterness, complementing the pudding well. The Arabiya sandwich was made with crispy toasted bread, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a hint of ham, creating a delicious combination of flavors with the ketchup. The iced coffee had a mild acidity and a slightly less bitter taste, providing a refreshing flavor.

I was looking for a place to enjoy a delicious coffee and came across a cafe with some appetizing pudding on display. I decided to go in and try it out. The pudding had a mild sweetness that paired perfectly with the slightly bitter caramel sauce. It was really delicious. The classical atmosphere of the cafe was also lovely, and I definitely plan to visit again when I come to Osaka.

I went around 11 am on Saturday and it was relatively empty. It started to get crowded around 12 pm. The old-fashioned firm pudding was delicious! The sandwiches and pancakes were also very tasty! I would like to go again during the hot coffee season ☕️

Even though it's located in a busy area in Namba, this shop offers a relaxing atmosphere. The tables and chairs are comfortably upholstered, making it a nice place to unwind. Their signature homemade pudding is generously sized with a mildly sweet and bitter taste. It has a strong egg flavor and a satisfying texture, perfect for those who enjoy a firmer pudding. Additionally, the staff working here are efficient yet have a gentle demeanor, creating a welcoming environment.

Located right near Namba Station, just off Shinsaibashi-suji. This long-standing coffee shop has a chic and sophisticated interior. The first floor has counter seats and table seats, and this time I sat at the counter. The second floor seems to have table seats. I had a blended coffee this time. The aroma was mild, making it easy to drink. The acidity was quite subdued, and the bitterness was mild, making it a refreshing drink. I was able to spend a relaxing time. Thank you for the meal.

Thank you for always reading. If you liked it, I would be happy if you could bookmark the store by clicking the "Save Shop" button. The third stop on the journey of visiting 100 famous restaurants is ARABIYA, a long-established coffee shop in Namba that I have always wanted to visit. ARABIYA Coffee is located at 1-6-7 Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka, just a 2-minute walk from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro. Established in 1951! Selected as one of the Top 100 Coffee Shops by Tabelog in 2022. I arrived at the shop a little after 3 pm. Closed on irregular days. Business hours: [Mon-Fri] 13:00-18:00, [Sat-Sun/Holidays] 10:00-19:00. No waiting outside at this time! The tables inside were full, so I got permission to take photos and sat at the counter. One drink per person. Each coffee has an indication of bitterness and acidity, as well as whether it's hot or iced, making it easy to choose. "I'll have the homemade pudding and blended coffee, please." The homemade pudding costs 770 yen, and the blended coffee costs 550 yen, totaling 1,320 yen. "February 9, 1951. The deliciousness of coffee in the morning awakens you and gives you hope for a fun day. The deliciousness of a cup of coffee during a break in the day relieves your work fatigue." This plate, filled with the feelings of the founder when he started the business at the age of 25, 72 years ago, is displayed. Enjoy the aroma of the second-generation master's Nel drip. After a short wait, the homemade pudding arrived, beautifully balanced on the plate. Let's dig in! Starting with the blended coffee, the aroma is wonderfully rich! The balance of bitterness and acidity is delicious. The homemade pudding is quite firm, with the natural flavor of eggs shining through! The caramel is generously portioned and does not overpower the taste of the pudding. It's a perfect balance. I enjoyed it in a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere and finished every last bite. After paying, I thanked the staff at ARABIYA Coffee and left the shop. "Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I'll come again!" Thank you for reading until the end. I hope this information will be helpful for your gourmet adventures.

I had a refreshing black iced coffee in the morning at a place that happened to have an open seat. It was delicious and different from my usual instant coffee. The ice was shaped nicely and the atmosphere was great! The place quickly filled up and it was a one-drink minimum per person. Almost everyone ordered sandwiches and pancakes. Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere was fantastic, I tried both the Brazil and Mandheling coffees. The Brazil coffee had almost zero acidity and was very rich. The Mandheling had a slight acidity and a refreshing taste. For dessert, I recommend the pudding and cheesecake, they are a must-order. I also ordered a cream soda which was lovely, like a blue sky.

This is my first time writing on Tabelog, but I have visited this place a few times in the past. (Visited on Saturday after 2:00 PM) The restaurant was packed with customers, but I was relieved to be seated at a table right away. I like the Arabiya sandwich, but since I already had dinner plans, I decided to go for something lighter and ordered the homemade pudding. The place was busy, and the staff seemed rushed, making it a bit awkward to call out for their attention. Finally managed to place our order. ----- Taste impressions ----- Me: Coffee float Him: Iced Dutch coffee Shared: Homemade pudding The items we ordered arrived in about 10 minutes. The drinks were delicious. Especially when eaten with the ice cream on top, it was even better. The pudding was firm and large. It was nice of them to provide two spoons. I didn't think about it, but the size was perfect for sharing. The sweetness was mild, and the caramel flavor was subtle, but the taste of the pudding itself was clear. Maybe because it's meant to be eaten with coffee, but this aspect might vary depending on personal preference. ------------------- ・Good location ・Nice atmosphere ・Completely non-smoking, which is great ・Arabiya sandwich is recommended ・Slightly pricey ・The place is often crowded, so it may not be suitable for relaxing and lingering. Thank you as always. Good meal!

Located close to Namba Station, this coffee specialty shop is easy to access! The coffee is delicious, and I also ordered their homemade pudding, which had a nostalgic taste like the puddings from old-fashioned cafes, and it was delicious! The interior of the shop is relaxing. However, due to the location in Namba, there were many foreign customers and take-out orders.

Around 3 o'clock, I was lucky to be able to enter without any wait time! The pudding was not too sweet or too firm, making it easy to eat even in hot weather. The café au lait was not too sweet, had a bit of bitterness, and was delicious. I want to go back again to enjoy the calm atmosphere.

I recently found out about the existence of women's professional baseball through the news. While watching a game at Koshien Stadium, I remembered that the first "Okaasan" of Arabya in Osaka used to be a professional baseball player. There used to be a women-only baseball team right after the war, my mother told me. A few days later, I visited Arabya in Osaka for the first time in 13 years. I used to visit a few times years ago, but it was always full and recently there are many foreign and young customers, maybe due to Instagram or something. Arabya is a coffee shop full of memories for me, with my siblings visiting as well, and recently my mother and sister too. I tried to act like a regular and sat at the counter. The ice in the iced coffee affects the taste, so let's seek some coolness with this iced coffee with good chunky ice floating in it. There used to be a second generation master or something like that before, but now there are two young people brewing coffee and the female staff is also working hard with a friendly attitude. The number of staff seems to have increased from before, and although the atmosphere inside is still Showa era, there seems to be a hint of "elegance" budding. By the way, the coffee cup I bought 13 years ago is still in use, and it was still being sold inside the shop. So, memories don't fade at Arabya.

○Shop Overview Established in 1951, this is a long-established coffee shop in Osaka founded by Mitsuaki Takasaka. The symbol of the shop, a man with a turban and beard, was designed based on Arabian Nights. ○Shop Location Located a 2-minute walk from Namba Station and a 6-minute walk from Nipponbashi Station on the Kintetsu line. It is situated in the north of Rihei Yokocho and Minamichujo-suji. Arrived in front of the shop at 4:23 pm on a weekday. Inside, there are 7 counter seats and 16 table seats (with 8 reserved seats at the back), with the table seats being for 4 people. Overall, there were mostly groups of 2-3 people, and some customers were seen staying for a long time. While it didn't have long lines, it gave off the impression of being a well-known hidden gem. ・Cheesecake with Enzyme Jam (770 yen) The enzyme jam contains Fuji apples and pineapples, sometimes substituted with berries. The cheesecake has a distinct egg color, resembling a baked cheesecake. It was sweet with a dense texture. The jam was crunchy, with a strong fruit texture. ・Blend Coffee (550 yen) True to its sign, it has a rich taste with a strong bitterness and minimal acidity. The faint aroma of the beans is also appealing. The old-fashioned atmosphere and rich coffee are charming. With good access from the station, it's recommended to stop by during sightseeing.

☆彡Even in the midst of summer, if you can only have hot hand-drip coffee, you can taste the difference in coffee beans at a single origin cafe. However, in Namba, there is a long-established coffee specialty shop that serves only hot hand-drip coffee. The single origin cafes may not offer the best tasting coffee, so I decided to visit this old-fashioned coffee shop in Namba. The area around Namba is crowded with inbound tourists every day, and it seems to be returning to the same situation as before the pandemic. Many inbound tourists with large luggage come to escape the heat, and the old-fashioned coffee specialty shop is also filled with inbound customers. There was only one empty seat at the counter in the shop in the early afternoon. I ordered the Elephant Mountain Peaberry (¥850) and the homemade pudding (¥770). It is recommended to order the weekly or monthly recommended beans among the single origin options. Especially in the middle of summer, there are few customers ordering hot coffee, so the turnover of beans tends to be slow. The taste of hand-drip coffee can vary greatly depending on the bean condition and extraction technique. Unfortunately, the overall taste of the coffee at this shop was weak, with insufficient amount of beans, leaving a sense of dissatisfaction. The lack of stimulating coffee flavors and taste information makes it far from delicious coffee, especially considering the high price of ¥850 per cup. The pudding was a voluminous size with a satisfying amount, and the caramel was generously added, allowing you to enjoy both the caramel and pudding flavors together. However, since there was no set menu and the pudding alone cost ¥770, ordering a drink along with it would cost over ¥1,500. Considering this, there was no special impression regarding the price. Although the shop has received awards such as being listed in the top 100 cafes on Tabelog, the charm of being a long-established shop was not particularly felt. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are encouraging for me. If you like, please give me a tap. (*・ω・)*_ _) I also have an Instagram account @ginjirou.star. Feel free to check it out!

On the way to Alshon from Kasuya, I found a Showa retro coffee shop. I decided to visit the next day as I was going to have crepes at Alshon that day. The exterior and interior of the shop were truly authentic and retro, to the point where it could be designated as a Showa heritage site. The coffee menu was easy to understand, with clear indications of the roasting method. I ordered the Mandheling, which was the darkest roast, and added a homemade pudding. The water served was not too cold, as it did not have ice. However, when I tasted the coffee, I noticed a slight machine-like smell. The coffee was brewed after the order was placed, using a dripper for the pour-over method. From the counter, I could see that the beans were ground to a medium-coarse grind. The barista first moistened the beans, then poured the hot water twice in two separate rounds, finishing with a total of three pours. The coffee was served promptly, without much wait. However, I couldn't help but wonder if the brewing time was too short for this grind size. When I tasted the coffee, I found it to be more acidic than bitter or astringent, with a somewhat diluted flavor profile. It lacked the richness and aroma I was expecting. Priced at 770 yen, I wished there was a higher bean-to-water ratio to bring out a more robust and flavorful taste. The accompanying cream was not plant-based, which was a relief. I added it to the coffee to enhance the richness. As for the pudding, the texture was creamy and rich, with a lovely eggy flavor and just the right amount of sweetness, which I enjoyed. However, the caramel sauce was too thin and watery, lacking the thick, bittersweet quality that would complement the pudding well. Overall, it felt like having a great lead actor but weak supporting actors in a movie, where the lack of cohesion diminishes the overall experience. The atmosphere inside was cozy and completely smoke-free, making it a pleasant environment to enjoy coffee and sweets. It was also convenient that they accepted card payments. If I were to visit again, I might try their Dutch coffee or iced coffee next time.

Established in 1951, "Arabiya Coffee" is a charming coffee shop located just off Midosuji Street in Osaka, exuding a unique aura. Since 2021, it has been selected as one of the top 100 coffee shops for two consecutive years. The first floor features a counter and table seating, while the second floor offers table seating only, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. Although I don't usually drink coffee, I decided to try their blend coffee this time. The balance of bitterness and acidity was just right, making it very easy to drink. While the glitzy afternoon tea along Midosuji Street is nice, spending leisurely time in this retro coffee shop was a refreshing change of pace. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I took the Hankyu train from Kyoto and headed towards this place. The long and narrow interior of the shop was almost full when I opened the door. There seemed to be a second floor as well. I slid into an empty seat at the counter. Behind the counter was a kind-looking master. I had an iced coffee (660 yen) and a pudding (770 yen). The pudding was neither too firm nor too soft, with plenty of loose caramel on top. The sweetness was very mild. The iced coffee was refreshing and light, especially enjoyable when drunk black. In front of the counter, there were various items like a camel figurine, a baseball, and photos, fitting the name "Arabiya". There was no background music, only the quiet chatter of people in the evening. Most customers seemed to be locals. When I left, the master kindly said "ookini" in a gentle Osaka dialect.

Family and I visited here in Namba, and I got permission to spend some time alone at this café that I was curious about. It was a Sunday afternoon, past 3 pm, so the place was full and the staff seemed busy. I was left standing and ignored for about 5-10 minutes, but a soft-spoken lady hurriedly showed me to a table, so I let it slide. I had been interested in the pancakes based on reviews on Tabelog, so I ordered that along with coffee and ice topping! The pancakes were in two layers, with a chewy texture and a hint of buttery aroma, very delicious (*´ー`*) When eaten with the topping ice cream, it felt like a luxurious treat and was very satisfying. The atmosphere and taste were great, and the lady who showed me to my seat and the young man who took my order and handled the payment were both wonderful. However, I felt like the owner was selective with customers in terms of service (greeting other customers with "Welcome" or "Thank you!" while neglecting to do so with me, serving drinks to those who ordered after me first, etc.), which was disappointing. Also, the prices are a bit high. Paying over 1200 yen for coffee and dessert... maybe they should reconsider that? Thank you for the meal.
