The location is the Ballpark Escon Field in Kitahiroshima City, Hokkaido, the home of the Nippon-Ham Fighters. It's less than a 5-minute drive from Hokkaido and less than a 10-minute walk. There are a few parking spaces in front and on the side of the store. There were about 3 chairs placed by the window of the cake shop, but it's unclear if you can eat in. I ordered soft serve ice cream, which comes in three flavors: maple, vanilla, and maple mix. When you take a bite, the scent of maple comes through your nose. The texture has a slight chewiness to it, and the cakes looked delicious too. They also had steamed buns and a variety of baked goods, so it might be a good place to buy souvenirs.

On a certain weekday, during the time when the number of people and the stage had further increased in Hokkaido, I had lunch and visited a long-established confectionery shop in Kitahiroshima City that I had bookmarked. There is a parking lot with a sign next to the shop. The interior of the shop is of a conventional size and layout for a confectionery shop, with a counter table in one corner, but it doesn't seem like the kind of place where you would buy a cake and eat it at the counter. From the menu on that day, I chose a few items that caught my eye, such as the dorayaki and the unusual crispy pie displayed in the original showcase. I purchased the "Kitahiroshima rice cake (300 yen)" and then remembered that I had bought it before at a vegetable store, apparently in collaboration with Takashima Farm. This time, the slight saltiness of the sticky rice and the slight sweetness of the pumpkin matched well with the crispy plum's saltiness and acidity, leaving a good impression. The "cake offcut (300 yen)" I bought was said to be a leftover piece of Earl Grey cake, and when I took a bite, the fluffy soft castella, cream, and Earl Grey jelly had a strong presence. It was no problem as a snack. The "bean daifuku (180 yen tax included)" looked like it didn't have black beans on the surface, but when I took a bite... Oh, there was a pretty large bean hidden inside the mochi, along with a strong sweetness of red bean paste. It seemed to be well-received as a tea snack, and I realized once again the richness of Hokkaido ingredients, as it was said to use black beans from Yoichi. The "crispy pie (120 yen tax included)" was not as crispy as I expected because it was a pie. Inside the very fluffy and soft pie crust with sugar on top, there was custard cream hidden, which also seemed to have many fans. I thought it was a confectionery shop, but the rice cake was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had some errands in this area, so I stopped by! Last time, I received some delicious cream puffs and pies as souvenirs, but this time they were sold out because I came late! What a shame! This time, I bought the popular Anjumanjyu fresh roll! I'm going to cut it now, but it's so fluffy that it's a bit difficult to cut (laughs). You can clearly taste the egg in it! It's delicious! I visited in the afternoon this time, so they were sold out, but next time I'll go earlier to buy the cream puffs and pies that I'm looking for!

Somehow ended up going for cake instead of crystal, but kept getting locked out along the way. Barely made it here, but it was clearly closing time. Definitely an unwelcome guest. Once inside, I quickly bought a cake and left. This time it was Western sweets, but they also have plenty of traditional Japanese sweets. Next time, I'll go on a more leisurely day. Sorry for being in a rush, but thanks to that, the cake was delicious!

In January 2013, I discovered a delicious looking fromage in Kitahiroshima! I went to buy it right away. There was a customer before me, so there was no parking space available. I drove around for a bit and eventually found a spot to park, then headed into the shop. The woman working there seemed very kind. When I asked if I could take photos inside the store, she gladly said, "Of course." I left the photography to my husband and purchased the "Hokkaido Fromage." It was frozen, so we had to let it thaw a bit before eating. They also had character cakes on display, which I admired while waiting for the wrapping to be done. When I got home and let it thaw completely, the cheese aroma was irresistible. Once fully thawed, it was fluffy and very delicious. We shared one piece for 1250 yen among six people, which was more cost-effective than buying individual cakes. They also had gift sets like yokan, so I plan to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the confectionery shop Anjuman in Kitahiroshima while cycling. The shop is located along Omotemachi Street in Kitahiroshima City, and although there are signs like electronic billboards, it may be easy to miss because it is tucked away. The shop has a traditional local confectionery store vibe, and the cheerful staff greeted me as I entered. The main items sold are cakes and baked goods, with very little space dedicated to other items. While they do have some traditional Japanese sweets, there are no fresh Japanese sweets like daifuku. There are many confectionery items named after Kitahiroshima, so if you are looking for a souvenir from Kitahiroshima, this shop has a wide variety. They also offer assorted gift sets. Since it was in the morning, I decided to skip the cakes and bought some baked goods and traditional sweets instead. I bought the Kuzumochi (ordinary, ¥220) and the Saburokku (¥150), which is a new product from the shop. The Kuzumochi came in a Japanese-style paper wrapping with a cup of kuzumochi, kinako (roasted soybean flour), and black honey. The kuzumochi had a jelly-like texture similar to agar, and the sweetness was moderate. The kinako and black honey were from a different company, so they may not be homemade. The Saburokku is a tart with raspberry jam on top, and it was surprisingly moist and buttery. I also tried the Elfin Plain (¥130), which is a fluffy and crispy biscuit-like pastry. The name comes from "Elfin Town Kitahiroshima City." The plain flavor had a surprising salty taste at first, but it was balanced out by the sweetness of the cream and sponge cake. Overall, it was a unique and delicious treat. I received a stamp card for every ¥500 spent, with discounts available for collecting 20, 40, or 60 stamps. It may be challenging to collect 60 stamps, but it's a fun incentive to try different treats at the shop.

I decided to visit a cake shop but it was closed, so I searched around and found another one. It had a cozy atmosphere like a local cake shop and also offered traditional Japanese sweets like manju. The pies were sold out for the day, so I assumed they were popular. I bought two items: "Premium Roll" for 220 yen, which had just the right amount of sweetness in the cream and a soft texture, and "Orange Mousse" for 320 yen, with a deliciously moist sponge but a very tangy orange jelly on top. I also noticed they had both a Strawberry Tart and a Strawberry Tartlet, which made me curious. Overall, the items were different and tasty.

One person, Sunday, around 13:30, first visit to a cake shop in a town - that kind of feeling. It doesn't have a trendy and stylish atmosphere, but this kind of cake shop vibe is nice too. The shop has a seating area where you can enjoy your cake, and it seems that coffee is complimentary. They mainly sell cakes (especially roll cakes) and have a variety of individually wrapped baked goods and gift sets. I purchased the "Cookie Choux & Pure Premium" for a total of 340 yen. The cookie choux had a crispy cookie part that was very crunchy and delicious. The shop seemed to emphasize their "special cream," and the cream was very creamy and sweet. The pure premium had a generous amount of cream! The photo angle isn't great, so you can't see it well, but the cream is surrounded by a whole sponge cake roll. The sponge cake was fluffy and very light, and I could easily finish it in one go.

This is a place in Kitahiroshima City. I found a delicious roll cake here. The store has a wide variety of sweets, both Japanese and Western. I bought the "Melting Heart Roll" and it was delicious. The cream was rich and fluffy, and the castella cake was just the right amount of sweetness. I also enjoyed it with the secret syrup, which made the texture even more enjoyable. The cute cow-shaped box added to the charm of the whole experience. I will definitely come back to try more sweets at this store.

I visited the long-established Western confectionery shop "Anjuman" in Asahi-cho, Kitahiroshima. They have a variety of delicious products such as cakes and baked goods. The shortcake has a perfect level of sweetness that doesn't get boring. The sablé, anbissance, and Kitano Hiroshima baked goods were also tasty. It's a shop that is loved by the locals.

This is a local pastry shop in Kitahiroshima that has been loved by the community for a long time. It's less than a 10-minute drive from the station. Their classic shortcake and chocolate mousse cake are delicious. My favorite is the pure roll cake. The fluffy sponge and fresh cream go really well together.

With my wife, we went on a trip to Escon Field in Kitahiroshima. First, we want to thank my sister for the Fighters game tickets. We won two-day tickets for the Kitahiroshima citizen invitation for the Fighters, so we got the ticket for April 26th. It's only a 15-minute walk from my sister's house to Escon Field, which is so convenient. Before we left, my sister asked if the souvenir from Kitahiroshima is Anzumai. We remembered that we had received delicious snacks before. She mentioned that Anzumai has been on TV recently. Can you please post a photo of it? As for the food, we discussed how nowadays roll cakes have a lot of cream but the sponge cake is delicious. Even though many roll cakes focus on the cream, the sponge cake is what makes it tasty. My wife said it reminds her of the old-fashioned roll cakes. I personally thought it was very delicious. Please kindly consider this for the photo post. Thank you! (laughs)

My sister sent me an email saying that she's worried about the expiration date of the snacks offered on our grandfather's altar. I went to our family home where our grandfather passed away last year and our grandmother is currently in long-term care. I found an Elfin snack on the altar, so I retrieved it. There was a box of assorted snacks in the living room, which I assume was a gift for me. The snacks included plain, lemon, and cheese flavors, and they were from a famous confectionery in Hokkaido, North Hiroshima City. I had these snacks before at a family meeting last year, and they were delicious. The sponge was fluffy and crispy, coated with sugar crystals, and filled with buttercream. It was a unique combination of sweet and savory flavors. Despite being a local specialty, it was a top-notch treat. I highly recommend it to everyone. PS: Say hi to Shun for me. It's a bit awkward, but please convey my greetings.

I received these as souvenirs! Cream puffs and custard pies, right? Crispy cream puffs? (cream puffs) Crispy pie? (custard pie) Both were delicious with a nice crunch! The sugar sprinkled on top of the custard pie was just right! Both were delicious! They have an elegant feel to them. If I had to say, I wish there was a bit more cream in them! It seems like they have various types of sweets and cakes, so I would like to visit the store next time and try them out! I'm curious about the Swiss roll! Thank you for the meal!

My friends came to visit in February 2018 and we enjoyed some tea snacks. They were more on the traditional Japanese side, so we had them with strong tea. The Bozubee was a nice mix between Western and Japanese sweets, with a fruity and elegant taste. Thank you for the meal!
