When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease by the government. There is no cure for my rare disease yet, but I temporarily improve when I receive "blood products" for five consecutive days. I have been hospitalized five times last year for treatment related to my rare disease. I was hospitalized for the third time this year on June 12th, but I was discharged 32 days later. Your supportive comments are always a source of strength for me during my hospital stays. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have finally been discharged for the third time this year in August 2022. Due to my poor health, my comments and replies are delayed. I will respond to them gradually as my health improves. For now, I plan to focus on reviewing past reviews that have not been posted yet. "Sanhachi Kashiya" was established in 1901 and is a long-established store celebrating its 119th year this year. They offer the popular dessert "Times Square." I indulged in the "Times Square Soft Serve" during my recent hospital stay. The soft serve is a seasonal limited edition item available from May to autumn. I ordered the "Custard & Red Bean" flavor in a cone, which I prefer over a cup. The soft serve is a delicious blend of custard flavor with a hint of sweetness. The red beans add a nice touch to the cone. The soft serve machine uses a crispy maple cone, which complements the flavors well. The price is 324 yen (tax included). They also offer a seasonal limited edition item, the "Honey Caramel Waffle Dunk-W!" made with Hokkaido butter and acacia honey. The waffle has a soft texture with a hint of cinnamon, sandwiched with honey caramel. It comes in a pack of three for 421 yen (tax included). The soft serve may be small, but it's larger than the samples they provide. The red beans as a free topping are a nice touch. The cone is made with crispy maple, adding a subtle maple fragrance. The combination of custard soft serve, red beans, and crispy maple cone is delightful. The price of 300 yen (tax included) is reasonable for the quality. This place is near my hospital, so I frequent it often. The "Times Square Soft Serve" is a must-try in the summer, and the "Honey Caramel Waffle Dunk-W!" is a delightful treat with Hokkaido ingredients.

Sanpachi is a traditional Japanese and Western confectionery maker with a long history in Sapporo, established in the 38th year of the Meiji era. They also have a store in Chofu, Tokyo, where they sell sweets. I visited around 2:30 pm on a weekday and there were 2-3 other customers in the store. I was impressed by the drink server in the store.
I tried the "Don Dora" for 150 yen and the Sesame Daifuku (with red bean paste) for 150 yen. To get the special stamp called "Goka-in," I went to the main store of Sanpachi, which is about a 5-minute walk from Nishi 11-chome Station. They sell the stamp for 300 yen each with 2 different patterns. I bought some sweets along with the stamp.
They also had a drink server in the store where you could get complimentary tea. It wasn't an eat-in space, but the warm tea was refreshing. The Dorayaki I bought was soft and fluffy with a moist red bean paste, and the Sesame Daifuku was pleasantly sweet with a perfect balance of flavors.
The red bean paste from Hokkaido tasted even better when eaten in Hokkaido. It was so delicious that I want to visit the Tokyo store as well. Make sure to check out their Instagram too!

I visited a place near here where they sell Custard Anko Soft Serve to go for 356 yen. I also tried their Dondora for 150 yen. The appearance and taste of the soft serve really resembled custard. It was like having cold custard with the texture of soft serve ice cream. It was interesting, but honestly, it made me crave for a cream puff. If you're a fan of custard, you might enjoy it though. The Dondora I bought as a souvenir was filled with red bean paste, had a nice balance of sweetness, and was soft. It was also great that it can last for 2-3 days. Thank you for the meal!

Received on March 30th, a gift from "Sanhachi Kashiho Honten," a staple item for everyday use. A friend who I have a relationship with gave me a set. The branding for traditional Japanese sweets is "Sanhachi," while for Western-style sweets it is "Kakasha." However, items that have a longer shelf life are also available under the "Sanhachi" brand.
- Sapporo Times Square: A flagship item from Kakasha brand. A confection with a fluffy sponge cake filled with custard cream, among other ingredients. The first time I tried it, I was curious about how it was made (and still am). There is a similar confection called "Hagi no Tsuki" by Kajyo Sanzen, but this one seems to have a longer history. The price is similar. I think they might steam it to make it, but I'm not sure.
This time, I received two plain and one red bean flavor. There are also fun variations like the Shirokuma package, strawberry, and more.
- Dorayaki: Yes, it's dorayaki (laughs). But there is also a similar item called "Tondora," which is also a type of dorayaki. The distinction is a bit unclear. Maybe it's the size difference? This one is probably larger. Looking at the ingredients, sugar is the most used... well, since it has sweet bean paste inside... it's surprisingly high in calories.
- Toki no Kirameki: I was lacking in knowledge. This phrase means "meeting a good opportunity at a favorable season, feeling very enthusiastic. It signifies that a good chance has arrived and one is in high spirits." It's a confection with almond cream and chocolate cream sandwiched between sponge cake. It's well-protected with sturdy cardboard, so it takes a bit of effort to enjoy it.
- Raisin Cake: Sapporo Clock Tower. Thank you for the feast.

Sapporo Times Square in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido is a place where you often see this. You definitely have to try it when you see it! Sapporo Times Square ¥183. A fluffy sponge cake with sweet cream that stimulates your brain. It's similar to Sendai's "Zunda mochi" and Kagoshima's "Kasutera," but once you start eating it, you can't stop. You can eat as many as you want. And wrapped in a cute package, there's the Shirokuma Times Square, which has milk cream inside. It uses Hokkaido milk, giving it a different sweetness that makes it a delicious snack. Part of the sales is donated as feed for animals, which is a wonderful initiative. This would make a great souvenir as well. With various flavors available, it's worth buying if you have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

Sapporo Times Square is a popular confectionery shop run by the boss of Kashiya, so they also have Square Soft Serve ice cream here. They have a cozy seating area where they offer free tea and coffee. On a hot day, I stopped by to enjoy something cold. The Soft Serve ice cream here comes in two flavors - Custard and Custard & Red Bean, priced at ¥330. I chose the Custard & Red Bean flavor for its unique combination. The seating area is interesting as it offers a view of the street, making it a fun experience. The Soft Serve ice cream had a smooth texture and a light sweetness, complemented well by the red bean. The cone was made of maple, adding a luxurious touch to the treat. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

I received a souvenir from a restaurant I wanted to visit, even though I didn't actually go there. The reason why I wanted to go is not important. The shop is called Sanhachi Kaho. The name of the dessert is "Sansun Mochi," which I think is named after its length. The shop owner once said, "Yours is three sun long." I haven't actually eaten it yet, but I have around 30 places on my list to try. I will try the Sansun Mochi on a Sunday afternoon. When I cut it open, I found red bean paste inside. The mochi has a good texture and is not overly sweet. It is enjoyable for mochi lovers like me. The next time, I will try the grass-flavored one. It doesn't taste like grass in just one bite, but when you eat the whole piece, you can taste the sweetness and aroma of the grass. It could have a stronger flavor, but overall, it is a delicious dessert.

I found custard red bean soft serve ice cream while walking down the street! There are many ice cream shops in Hokkaido, but custard soft serve is quite rare! I have bought snacks from this place as souvenirs before, but this was my first time trying their soft serve. It was sweet but not too heavy, smooth and delicious! The combination with red bean was perfect, so I highly recommend ordering it with red bean topping. And the price is also reasonable. I definitely want to come back for more!

2020.3 Food bloggers! Since you are a food blogger, use all the 10,000 yen you received from the government for eating and drinking!! I bought a headphone amp~ Sorry, my son (1 year 6 months old) is sleeping in the next room, so I need to use headphones to watch TV or listen to music, so I ended up buying one... Oh, you're asking if the 10,000 yen payment has started in your city? Of course, I haven't received it! I bought it expecting to receive the 10,000 yen~ It's a typical behavior of someone who can't save money... So, I visited "Sanpachi Kashiho Honsha-ten" to buy sweets for my father's memorial day. I tried both the plain and azuki bean flavors. The azuki bean flavor had a richer sweetness compared to the plain one. Well, both are delicious as they are classic products!

I have passed by this store several times before. It always seems to be empty. I went inside and bought three types of sakura mochi. I tried the regular one and the strawberry-flavored one for the first time, and they were delicious. I'm not a big fan of strawberries myself, but I bought it to see how it would taste combined with sakura mochi. I don't think strawberries are necessary with sakura mochi. It made me think that it's tough times when you can buy delicious sakura mochi even at convenience stores.

This is a Japanese confectionery shop located along the tram road. I took a stroll along the tram street to the main street. The other day, I received some cute cookies (actually rice crackers) from a shop here! I'll just pop in for a bit. I'm curious about the sweets at Kafukasha, but I can always buy those later. What caught my eye the most was the "dorayaki" written prominently outside! So, I bought a dorayaki to take home. I enjoyed it at home. The "dorayaki" was 120 yen, with a fluffy and moist skin, and a pleasantly sweet red bean paste filling. The skin is delicious (*´▽`*)♪ It's moist, soft, and has a nice texture. It's a bit small and easy to eat. Hmm, this is good. I'll definitely stop by to buy it again (*´▽`*) Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't park at the Times Square Soft Cream Custard & Azuki in Sapporo, so I came here to Sanpachi Kashiya. I love the custard soft serve here so so so much! The combination of custard and red bean is amazing. Plus, the red bean paste is incredibly delicious. I can easily eat three of them in one go.笑笑

Living near Sanhachi Hon-ten is convenient. This year, Sapporo has been hot, so I crave something cold. They have a small eat-in corner where you can enjoy Times Square Soft Serve. I ordered the soft serve without red bean. A young woman generously scooped the soft serve for me, and it tasted slightly like Times Square's cream, with a yellow color. It was rich but not overly milky, naturally delicious. And cold. The cone was from Nissei, crunchy and light. The soft serve was packed in, so you can enjoy it until the last bite. They offer free drinks in the store, so I had an iced coffee, which was quite strong. This strong coffee paired well with the soft serve. Reset your palate with the strong coffee and enjoy the soft serve again. I bought Times Square's new products, condensed milk and condensed milk strawberry. I chilled them at home. The condensed milk strawberry had a more impactful and luxurious treat feeling. The white one is the condensed milk strawberry.

Around Nishi 11-chome, I had a drinking party in Susukino and came across the nostalgic Sanpachi Kashiho store which was still open. I really wanted to have soft serve ice cream, but I couldn't walk around in a suit licking ice cream during the peak commuting hours, so I bought a famous Sapporo Times Square snack instead and saved it for the next day as a treat. After purchasing it, I put it in my bag and headed to Susukino! The next day, I took it out of my bag in the early afternoon. It's a snack similar to the famous Miyagi confectionery. There are similar snacks in Hokkaido as well, but this one is definitely top-notch! It's made with condensed milk and condensed milk strawberry. The smooth texture and perfect sweetness of the cream were delicious! I enjoyed it with a richly brewed coffee. Recently, you can even find it in some supermarkets, making it more accessible. I hope it continues to be a representative sweet treat of Sapporo for a long time. Thank you for the meal!

Located near Subway Nishi 11-chome Station, this confectionery shop is situated along Minami 1-jo Street. It is the headquarters of a famous shop known for its Times Square. After enjoying some soup curry nearby, I wanted something cold to eat, so I purchased the "Times Square Soft Serve (300 yen)" here. There are a few seating options inside and outside the shop. The Times Square Soft Serve was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the custard flavor was delicious. While I'm not sure if it truly represents the taste of Times Square, I believe it would be enjoyable for those who have a sweet tooth.

After the new year, I walked from my home towards the city center during my break. Along the way, I stopped by a shop called "Sanpachi Kashiya." I had never realized before that this was their headquarters. I received two Times Square dorayaki for free and enjoyed a cup of coffee as a little break. Then, I continued walking towards the city center. My goal for today was to walk 30,000 steps. I tried the purchased items when I got home. The Times Square dorayaki had a unique taste with several flavors, standing out among similar sweets nationwide. I always think I could easily eat more than 10 of them! I think it was my first time trying dorayaki, and I liked the chewy texture of the skin and the moderately sweet bean paste. I have been really interested in their soft serve, and I plan to revisit during the summer. Thank you for the delicious treats!

Soft serve ice cream at Times Square (250 yen) is like having the inside of Sapporo Times Square in soft serve form. It's rare to find custard soft serve, and this one even has sweet red bean paste inside the cone. The freshly made dorayaki (108 yen) is also served with complimentary coffee inside the store. Although small, it was delicious.

I searched for "current location Japanese sweets" while out and about, and discovered a shop in Times Square that sells Japanese sweets. I thought it was a shop that mainly sells Western sweets, but it turns out that 70% of their products are Japanese sweets. When I arrived at the shop, I saw that they have parking space for 3 cars, but the space was tight and the parking lines were unclear. I bought strawberry sakura mochi, sakura mochi with koshian, sakura mochi with grilled skin, and uguisu mochi to taste and compare. I planned to eat them with 4 people at home, but only one sakura mochi with koshian was left for me. The rest will be enjoyed by the other 3 people. The sakura mochi with koshian had a soft sakura leaf with a strong aroma and a moderate saltiness. The rice was soft and sticky with few grains. The skin was thick, and the amount of red bean paste was just right, with a moderate sweetness. The combination of the saltiness of the leaf and the sweetness of the red bean paste was perfect. I didn't try the other Japanese sweets, so I have no feedback on them. It was delicious.
