A popular cake shop in Horie with irregular opening hours, "Yamamoto Kashi-ten." I heard that they usually open around 3:30 PM, but when I arrived at 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM, there was no sign of opening. I happened to pass by around 5:30 PM, and luckily, the shop was open. There was only one group of customers inside. I was excited to finally enter "Yamamoto Kashi-ten"! Unfortunately, the cake I wanted to try, "Tamdubat Batch Strength 006 with strawberry, pistachio-flavored Madagascar 75% chocolate," was already sold out. Even so, third time's the charm! I finally opened the door to "Yamamoto Kashi-ten"! The chef manages the shop alone, so it's hard to predict the opening time, which led to the current business style. The shop owner, dressed in a T-shirt and cap, doesn't look like a typical pastry chef. The interior of the shop is like a bar, with terrariums quietly placed around. The atmosphere is enhanced by the dim lighting and elegantly crafted adult cakes on display. The scent of Cointreau tickles your nose in this atmospheric pastry shop. They offer items like Blue Cheese and Pistachio Gateau Chocolat, Matcha and Banana Rare Cheesecake, and Pistachio Pudding. The exact names of the products are unknown, but they are incredibly long! It's more like a product description than a name! In addition to petit gateau (fresh cakes), they also offer quiche and baked goods. They all look so delicious that I want to take them all home! I tried them right away. The cocoa flavor is amazing! The Gateau Chocolat tastes just like pure chocolate, it's so rich. And the fragrant blue cheese, with a hint of saltiness and nutty pistachio, is a perfect match! The unexpected combination of matcha and banana is also delightful. The slightly bitter matcha complements the sweetness of ripe banana, and the mousse melts in your mouth! It's a delicious sensation that hits your brain! It's frustrating, but it's so delicious! How can they not know when they will open? It's quite frustrating, but the sweets were so delicious that it blew away any negative thoughts. Deliciousness conquers all. Thank you for the feast!

Visited a top dessert shop in Osaka Nishi-Ohashi for the first time! Their opening hours are irregular, so I checked the storefront every 30 minutes starting from 3pm and they opened at 4:30pm! I bought the Fig Tart, which was delicious with a rich compote fig and cassis tart! It was really tasty. Looking at it was beautiful, smelling it was enjoyable, and eating it was delicious! I will definitely be coming back for more.

Arrived at the shop at 3:30 pm on a regular day, but they were still preparing to open. There were only two types of cakes in the showcase, and it seemed like it would take a while longer. I passed the time nearby and returned after 4 pm, only to find one person waiting in line, so I decided to wait as well. In the end, the shop opened at 5 pm that day. I bought Mont Blanc, shortcake, fig tart, chiboust, chocolate cake, white chocolate cake, custard pudding, financiers, and pistachio financiers. The cakes were priced at around 700-800 yen each, a bit on the expensive side, but they all had flavors geared towards adults that were unique and not commonly found elsewhere. The shortcake had grapes soaked in rum on top, which was my favorite. The shop's system is quite unique, so it may not suit everyone, but it might be best to try going a bit later in the day and consider it lucky if there are cakes left. It requires quite a bit of patience to wait outside not knowing when they will open. The cakes were delicious, so I am thinking of revisiting after some time has passed.

I think the Blue Cheese Gateau Chocolat was my favorite! I enjoyed it very much! The other cake was also delicious, but I forgot the name. I visited around 7 pm on a weekday, and there were only 1 or 2 pieces left of 4 different cakes. I would like to visit at a time when there are more options next time (*´∇`*)

Located on Nishiohashi, "Yamamoto Kashi-ten" was visited around 5:30 pm on a weekday. There were three people ahead in line. When asked for recommendations, it was mentioned that popular items vary depending on the day. The Lavender Honey and GlenDronach 12 Year Yogurt Chocolate Cake, as well as the Marcona Almond Praline Cream and Glenlivet 14 Year Mimolette Cheese Grapefruit White Chocolate Rare Cheesecake, were suggested. While the prices were somewhat high, the taste justified it. The chocolate cake had a sweet and smooth texture without being overly rich, and the cheesecake had a perfect balance of acidity and lightness, making it enjoyable even for those who don't like overly sweet treats. This is a place worth revisiting to try out different flavors. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A cake shop with a lineup of unique and delicious cakes and baked goods. The shop is run by a single person, so the opening time is "as soon as ready". Even after opening, the line moves slowly. But people still line up because the cakes are so delicious. The best time to visit is on weekday evenings when it's relatively less crowded and there may still be some cakes left. My favorite is the Tarte Tatin. I became obsessed with it after trying it at this shop. It's really delicious. Also, the pistachio pudding, although limited edition, is amazing. All the cakes are delicious, so there are no disappointments. However, since many of them contain alcohol, people's preferences may vary.

West Ohashi Station is a popular cake shop. They are closed on Sundays and their opening hours are not fixed. They open in the evening when all the cakes are ready and they close once they are sold out. I visited on a Saturday evening at 4:25 PM and there were already 6 people waiting. Even though they were not open yet, I could see cakes in the display case. They opened at 4:35 PM and allowed one group in at a time. It took 10 minutes for the first person to come out. Everyone seemed to be buying a lot, and it looked like they would sell out soon. Finally, after 5 PM, I was able to enter. I purchased a lightly baked cake with Ecuadorian bananas, lavender honey, and aged rum chocolate for 780 yen (tax included). They gave me a small spoon and I enjoyed it on a bench. It was a large chocolate cake with alternating layers of sponge and cream, with chunks of bananas in the cream. The rum flavor was strong, and it was a very delicious cake.

I visited "Yamamoto Kashi-ten," a pastry shop located in Nishi Ward, Osaka City. The shop is about a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Ohashi Station on the Yotsubashi Line. Although there is no big sign, you can spot it by looking for a place with many plants and the word "YAMAMOTO" written on it. The shop is not very big, but it is clean and has a good impression. They open as soon as the cakes are ready, which is a unique concept. However, it is always crowded before opening because their cakes are delicious and popular. Unfortunately, I was a bit late, so I didn't have to wait in line, but there weren't many cakes left. The items I purchased this time were as follows: - Earl Grey-flavored Fromage Blanc Rare Cheesecake - Chocolate Cake - Ecuador 75% Chocolate Cream Amarena Cherry Mont Blanc - San Marc Biscuit Thank you for the delicious treats.

I came to a cake shop in Horie. Yamamoto Kashiya store is a unique shop with unclear opening hours (lol). The most popular item, Mont Blanc, was sold out right before my eyes... (as of 5:30 PM). The shortcake with plenty of liquor has a rich sponge soaked in liquor, giving it an adult taste. The cake is filled with plenty of fruits, and the cream mousse has an exquisite balance of flavors. It has all the right elements. The pistachio pudding has a very good flavor. However, I don't think it's worth waiting in line for an hour to buy it. This is what happens when there's only one staff member, as I experienced during that one hour. Time is indeed precious (bitter smile).

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Nishiohashi Station, Yamamoto Kashi-ten is a mysterious pastry shop with no set opening hours. It's not uncommon to see a line forming for over 2 hours before opening. It's hard to predict how long you'll have to wait, so stumbling upon it open in the evening can be quite lucky. This time, I purchased popular items such as Mont Blanc, Opera, and Pistachio Pudding. The Mont Blanc had a crispy texture with a hint of sourness from the Amarena cherries and a brandy-like aroma, while the Opera had a coffee cream-like richness that kept me coming back for more. The Pistachio Pudding was smooth and fragrant, making all the sweets absolutely delicious! It seems that cakes are often available even after 6:00 pm on weekdays, so it's worth visiting in the late afternoon on a weekday. Thank you for the meal!

Yamamoto Confectionery at Nishiohashi is a cake shop where a competition unfolds the moment a tweet is made around 5:30 PM announcing the completion of a cake. ★★ Mont Blanc with 71% Venezuelan chocolate cream and Amarena cherries (680 yen) The cherry has a strong alcoholic taste, making it very sophisticated and delicious! The balance of sweetness and acidity is wonderful. The Mont Blanc is delicious with its authentic chestnut flavor and sweet Mont Blanc cream! The crunchy texture and richness of the chocolate around it are also irresistible! Definitely worth ordering. ・Chocolate eclair (320 yen) It has a more bitter taste than expected. ★ Pistachio pudding (320 yen) The sweetness of the pistachio is delicious! The caramel sauce is bitter and may not go well with the pistachio pudding. It's okay if you want to purely enjoy the pistachio. ★ Financier (180 yen) Moist and with a sophisticated texture, delicious! Mont Blanc is recommended.

In August 2021, I visited "Yamamoto Confectionery" in Shinmachi. They were supposed to open around 2:30-3:00 pm, but on this day, they opened after 4:00 pm. I entered the store as soon as they opened, and there was a full lineup of cakes on display. I wanted to buy a variety of cakes, but they were relatively expensive, so this time I purchased four types: - Venezuela 71% Chocolate Cream and Amarena Cherry Mont Blanc for 680 yen - Banana Tarte Tatin with Cassis and Matcha for 640 yen - Mango marinated in rum with ginger tart for 670 yen - Blueberry and white wine-mint jelly-infused Daiginjo sake lees, white chocolate Sibust, and Parmesan cheese tart for 670 yen I took them home and tried them right away. The cakes had a strong alcohol flavor, which would be appreciated by those who enjoy alcohol. Despite the strong alcohol taste, the fruit flavors were rich, and the combination of ingredients was exquisite. I particularly liked the Mango marinated in rum with ginger tart and the Blueberry and sake lees Sibust. If I have the chance next time, I would like to try other types of cakes. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I received some baked goods from a former colleague from this place before, and they had a really unique and delicious taste, so I decided to visit! The one I received was a pound cake with black pepper in it, giving it a spicy and addictive flavor. I arrived at 3 pm and there were already 2 people in line ahead of me. The person at the front had brought a chair. The store was not open yet. Eventually, it opened at 4:30 pm, and by that time there were 7-8 people lined up behind me. It seems like there will still be a wait even after they open, as they only allow one person in at a time. - The pistachio canelé had a subtle hint of alcohol and was delicious! I only bought 3 because I felt bad for the people behind me. - The Mont Blanc with the cherry on top was amazing. - The éclair was a perfect size. - The pistachio pudding was great when eaten with caramel. - The shortcake had a sponge soaked in alcohol. The big chunks of peaches inside were refreshing and went really well with the cream. - The pound cake with Yuzu citrus and Scotch had a strong alcohol flavor. It's a dessert for adults.

The price is around 700 yen, but the size is large. The cake with chocolate chips sprinkled on top is a mango tart with a surprising ginger flavor, but it was delicious. The Mont Blanc tart was also to my liking with plenty of cream. The chocolate shortcake was average, while the banana cake had a combination of banana and matcha flavors. This shop gives off an impression of unique cakes, so I would like to try finding a cake that I really like.

Anise and cloves, compote of Tahitian vanilla with pear, Camembert cheese, cream cheese, blue cheese, and yuzu-flavored white chocolate rare cheese, Maroilles champagne and caramel pandejienne with crumble (right) / Coconut and passion fruit shiboust with Tahitian vanilla and rum-scented brulee and Spanish Amarena cherry tart (left). These are the full names of the cakes at "Yamamoto Confectionery" where a variety of captivating cakes are lined up, with a list of ingredients that make it hard to imagine the taste just by looking at them. Anise and cloves (abbreviated) have an exotic sweet scent unique to spices emanating from the pear compote. The rare cheese, blended with three types, has a mild and smooth impression with a unique taste, enhanced by the refreshing flavor of yuzu. Tahitian vanilla (abbreviated) has a tropical finish reminiscent of the southern islands, with an elegant vanilla scent, depth from rum, and a balanced combination of cherry's sweet and sourness, creating an adult and sophisticated taste reminiscent of a nighttime beach. For those sweets addicts who can no longer be satisfied with ordinary cakes, this is a must-visit store.

The store has irregular opening hours, making it difficult to visit. On this day, it opened around 3:40 pm. According to regular customers, there have been times when it opened at 4:30 pm. The most popular item is the Mont Blanc. The tart at the bottom is crispy. Inside the Mont Blanc, there are chunks of chestnut and a cream cheese-like filling. It has a hint of alcohol but the strong flavors of the ingredients shine through. The Gorgonzola quiche was packed with filling and quite heavy. It's a filling meal. Although it was ranked fourth, the fresh cakes were second best. A couple of items were sold out. I bought two quiches, three fresh cakes, and one pudding for around 3500 yen.

When I first bought their fresh cake, it was incredibly delicious. Since then, almost 11 months have passed, and I haven't been able to indulge in sweets too much because I don't want to gain weight. However, even though I haven't been able to eat many sweets, their pastries are so delicious that my body craves them! This time, I wanted some pastries to enjoy with my female friends, their family, and at home with coffee. I bought the following items: - Chocolate Polvoron (270 yen): I saw this on social media and it seemed like a popular item. I love chocolate, so I had to get it. - Apple and Parmigiano Cheese Cookies (248 yen) - Walnut and Maple Sugar Financier (227 yen) - Pistachio and Raisin Pound Cake (302 yen) I bought 3 Chocolate Polvorons, which I learned are a Spanish pastry that supposedly grants wishes if you say its name three times. So I did that while eating it, and it was delicious! The chocolate was slightly bitter, giving it an adult taste. The Apple and Parmigiano Cheese Cookies were perfect for cheese cookie lovers, with a subtle cheese aroma and sweet apple compote. The Pistachio and Raisin Pound Cake had a great texture with a generous amount of pistachio and raisins, and the moistness of the cake was just right. Overall, the pastries had an adult flavor profile that I loved. I enjoyed these pastries with my family over coffee, and it was a delightful experience. I'm considering buying a larger portion next time because they can last for about two weeks. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh cakes and pastries together next time.

The alcohol hits pretty hard. There were no warnings, so be careful. The cake was tasty, but if you can't handle alcohol, this might not be for you. I wish the opening hours were more flexible. Well, a place like this is probably fine in Nishiohashi.

I visited around 6:30 PM on Saturday. There were about 10 people waiting in line. The shop was being run by one person, so the line was moving very slowly. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I finally placed my order. There were still some custards available, but only Gâteau au Chocolat was left in terms of cake. I bought the Gâteau au Chocolat and enjoyed it at home. It was delicious. I had assumed that the desserts would be less sweet based on the atmosphere of the shop, but the sweetness was just right. I would like to visit a little earlier next time.

I do not know the official name. It is a rare type of "yuzu cheesecake". The whole cake is covered with shaved white chocolate resembling powder snow. It has a very delicate mousse-like texture cheesecake, with a custard cream in the core that is not too sweet. The yuzu flavor is subtle, you may only realize it later on. At the bottom of the cake, there are a few small crumbles placed like stepping stones. The taste of the crumbles is light, sweet, refreshing, and contrasts nicely with the soft and slightly tangy cheesecake. The aftertaste leaves a refreshing feeling of yuzu and cheesecake mousse. Those who eat two pieces may want to pair it with something rich like chocolate or chestnut to experience a fresh sensation that feels like understanding more than half of all cakes in the world!

Rumor has it that "Yamamoto Kashi-ten" is a must-visit. We don't buy cakes from this shop very often at home. First of all, I like the name of the shop. It has a warm and comforting feel, much better than fancy foreign words. So, I decided to challenge the unknown opening time on a weekday off. I arrived at 14:50 and I was the first customer. Luckily, on this warm Christmas day, the shutter was open, and I could see the owner working diligently inside. Some reviews mention the uncertainty of when the shop will open, but seeing the owner alone preparing cakes one by one through the glass window is actually quite exciting. The showcase displayed a chocolate pudding, a yuzu cheesecake, and a shiny Gâteau au Chocolat with lots of strawberries on top. The green cream with strawberries on the cake looked cute! And there were many strawberry shortcakes as well, perfect for Christmas. I ended up buying five cakes instead of the planned three for my family. My father, who usually says, "Cakes are all delicious in their own way," was amazed by the strawberry champignon cream shortcake. My mother loved the pistachio and white chocolate strawberry tart, which looked like a small artistic creation. The Mont Blanc had a modest size, with a gentle and elegant taste of chestnut and blackcurrant. The Gâteau au Chocolat was shiny and had a good volume, with blackcurrant inside, a perfect match with chocolate. I may not be a sweets fanatic, but the feeling of delight after eating these cakes was different. It's true that "delicious cakes make people happy," as I realized with these "works of art" from Yamamoto. They truly bring happiness to people. I'll definitely come back here for special occasions.
