For today's lunch, I went to "Curryya Dekao" in Shinsaibashi! It's a place I've been wanting to visit but couldn't due to it being full or under kitchen construction on busy days! I climbed the stairs to the 2nd floor of the building and there was a short wait for 2 people. The stylish interior had a spicy aroma. I ordered the "Greedily Dekao Special" because I'm not good with spicy food. It's a great deal where you can choose 2 types of curry from Chicken Curry and Daily Curry. I chose Tuna Curry and Pork Curry! The dishes arrived quickly - the slightly sour Tuna Curry, the tender Pork Curry, and the Chicken Curry with lots of chicken chunks. All were delicious with plenty of ingredients, and I mixed them all up as I ate. The side dishes of Tomato Salad and Watercress and Coconut Stir-fry were also mixed in and they were incredibly delicious! I finished everything in no time and it was so tasty! I definitely want to go back to this restaurant again! Thank you for the meal!

The beautiful presentation was likely influenced by Osaka's spice curry style. I wish there was a bit more rice, but the amount of curry and side dishes was plentiful. I got the Chicken Curry Plus at this new place!! There were about 5 different curries to choose from, but I ended up picking the shrimp curry!! The regular serving size is 200 grams of rice, but I asked for a smaller portion of 150 grams. There were a lot of side dishes, which added variety to the meal and made it really delicious. The curry itself was very flavorful with strong spices, and I was sniffing throughout the meal because of it.

Located deep in the basement of an old mixed-use building, this old-fashioned bar is packed with locals enjoying drinks from noon. I ordered the spicy Sri Lankan set and chose the Keema from the daily curry options. The Sri Lankan curry had a refreshing taste with a hint of spice, and the side dishes were delicious as well. I managed to find a seat at the counter. It seemed like many of the customers were regulars, as the owner was chatting with them warmly. I ordered the Special Plate (1400 yen) with a smaller portion of rice. The plate included chicken curry, the daily special curry (shrimp coconut milk curry on that day), vegetable curry, stir-fried eggplant, tomato salad, achar, coconut sprinkle, and papadum. The curry had a nice level of spiciness and each ingredient was carefully prepared. I also had a lassi (350 yen) to balance out the spiciness of the curry. The delicious curry and the owner's friendly demeanor seemed to be a hit with customers. Ramen and spiced curry are so complex and exploring different restaurants is enjoyable. Since they are closed on Sundays, I plan to visit again on a weekday night.
