Nestled in a narrow alley, you'll find "Nyudo" located just before the Sun Tower annex and GREEN WEST store. The interior is spacious with high ceilings, creating a relaxed atmosphere. On this day, I had lunch with an elderly person I am close to, and as always, they looked beautiful. I made a reservation over the phone the day before we visited. It seemed like others had also made reservations, but it seems like it's okay to visit without one if you're in a small group. We were warmly welcomed with hot tea and hot towels. The lunch menu offers one option, available only on weekends with evening hours on weekdays. The two-tiered bento box called "Vegetable Treasure Box" for 1680 yen includes simmered komatsuna, stewed eggplant, tempura, grilled salmon, fried tofu, tender pork belly, red konjac, octopus, pumpkin, freeze-dried tofu, shrimp, myoga, simmered egg, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, and fava beans, with unlimited rice, red miso soup, and incense. The bento box was brought in two tiers, filled with a variety of dishes that made us excited to dig in. The simmered dishes were elegantly seasoned, showing the care put into the preparation. The seasoning on bamboo shoots and fava beans was exquisite! The octopus was seasoned slightly stronger than the vegetables, but not overpowering, perhaps due to the good dashi. The tempura was luxurious with plenty of shrimp in a crispy coating. I particularly enjoyed the fried tofu with sweet miso sauce, a delicate and delicious dish. The grilled salmon was half a fillet, perfectly complementing the rice. The tender pork belly was incredibly soft and tasty, although I personally prefer a slightly stronger flavor. With unlimited rice, even men would be satisfied with this bento box. It's rare to find such a restaurant in this area on weekends, making it a valuable find.
