I was first surprised by the unique self-service system where you purchase a food ticket and receive a number tag. When your number is called, you go to pick up your food, and when you're done eating, you return the tag. Chopsticks, spoons, soup refills, and even water are self-service. The oil katsu flavor was delicious. I prefer thick noodles for tsukemen, but this shop uses medium-thick flat noodles which lack texture and barley fragrance when eaten alone. However, when eaten together with the oil katsu, you can enjoy a flavorful and textured experience. The oil katsu alone was delicious (if that's all you're after, KASUYA's katsu udon is a good option, price-wise). There was also a seafood tonkotsu ramen available, so I might try that next time if I visit again.

I visited a restaurant near Sangenjaya for some errands. Although the oil soba was recommended, I prefer tonkotsu ramen, so I ordered the seafood tonkotsu ramen. The rich soup with a seafood flavor was delicious but not too heavy, making it easy to eat. Also, the grilled chashu rice bowl was delicious!

I visited "Jissai-an" for lunch near my company. The restaurant operates with a system where you purchase a meal ticket from a vending machine, exchange it for a number tag at the counter, and then wait to be called by your number when your order is ready. The TM noodles, available only for lunch, were unique as they had no broth and were meant to be eaten with toppings and noodles only. The "Abura-kasu" ramen had a distinctive Kansai-style flavor which left me very satisfied.

Today, I went to Misaki-an near Sangokugaoka Station for the first time to try their oil kasu tsukemen. I didn't have to wait in line when I arrived around 1 pm, which was a pleasant surprise. I had tried their seafood tsukemen before, but this time I was curious about the oil kasu tsukemen. The flat noodles paired well with the rich dipping sauce, and I finished it in no time. The oil kasu in the sauce added a nice touch without getting boring. The slightly grilled chashu had a delightful aroma that complemented the dish. I definitely want to go back again.

While out for a day trip, we tried to have lunch but everywhere was packed due to the New Year holidays. My son, who loves fried rice, cleverly suggested trying a ramen shop in hopes they might have fried rice. The ramen shop we chose was next to another one with a long line outside, so we opted for the less crowded one. However, to our disappointment, this shop did not have fried rice and only had individual seats separated by acrylic boards. We had to order using a ticket machine and it was self-service. Since my son couldn't decide what to order, I suggested getting the Osaka specialty oil kasu ramen and tonkotsu ramen with dried baby sardines, and he could eat whichever one he preferred. My husband ordered tsukemen. The oil kasu ramen is rich in collagen, which is good for the skin, so I felt like it was beneficial just by eating it.

Casually passing by... JR Sankosha Line & Nankai Koya Line!? Decided to have ramen for lunch near Mikunigaoka Station \(・o・)/! Planned to go to Takeda-san for a quick meal but... it's closed... Took a chance and headed to this place along Chukan Avenue. Let's go.。.:*☆ Upon opening the door, a cheerful older sister welcomed me~ I decided on the seafood pork bone tsukemen at the ticket machine. Surprisingly popular!? Only one seat left! I sat at the end of a partitioned table~ handed over my ticket and checked in nicely。.:* The interior used to be made from cases of alcohol, but now there are chairs that can store belongings, creating a calming atmosphere... The restaurant is always full, so it must be tough for the staff. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the tsukemen finally arrivedー☆ With a beautiful oil droplet on top, the dipping soup had a slight wave to it!? The medium-thick curly noodles were served with thick slices of roast pork, creating a classic yet delicious combination・:*+.。 First, I tried the special noodles on their own. They were chewy with a nice wheat flavor. Next, I dipped them into the slightly cloudy dipping soup and slurped them up. The intense seafood flavor combined with the sweetness and umami of the pork bone broth was amazing♪ The fusion of the soup and noodles with each chew made this seafood pork bone tsukemen a must-try... The chewy texture of the roast pork and bamboo shoots added a satisfying bite to the dish. The meatiness and umami enhanced the experience of this tsukemen☆*:.。. o Lastly, the classic self-service soup refill! I enjoyed this as I finished the tsukemen, and of course, it was delicious. A classic ramen spot in Mikunigaoka, Sakai City, Sakai Ward, serving tsukemen! "Jissai-an" is MASA☆RU's recommendation. Enjoy! ☺

Tsukemen with oil kasu (extra large size) is a ramen shop located a short walk from Mikuni-ga-Oka Station East Exit along the main street. The unique feature of this place is its self-service style, where you pick up your order when called and clean up after finishing your meal. The tsukemen noodles were impressive, with a strong taste of wheat that stood out. The noodles were smooth and flat, not particularly chewy, but the wheat aroma was rich and high-quality. The dipping sauce had a strong dashi flavor, with hints of kelp and soy sauce. It offered a simple yet delicious taste that is a standard for tsukemen. However, what stood out the most here was the deliciousness of the oil kasu itself. The standard dipping sauce allowed the oil kasu to shine even more. It was a unique and enjoyable experience savoring the oil kasu while enjoying a consistently delicious bowl of tsukemen.

This is an oily ramen shop, so I think they would recommend the tsukemen. They have spicy and regular options. The soup is soy sauce-based with a strong seafood broth, and the noodles are medium thickness. It's good because it mixes well with the soup. However, I didn't think it was as good as the reviews suggested. It's mostly self-service.

After leaving the place I visited, I decided to have lunch out for a change, as I usually bring my own bento. I immediately chose to visit Misakian because they have my favorite dish, not katsu udon but oil katsu tsukemen! The simple interior and system of the restaurant caught my eye. You purchase a meal ticket and wait for your order to be ready. The soup looks just like that of katsu udon, and the aroma is so appetizing. I dipped the smooth and refreshing noodles into the soup and oh, it's delicious! Since it's tsukemen, the slightly thicker soup goes really well with the noodles. The unique richness and sweetness of the oil katsu... so satisfying. I'll definitely go back again!

I wanted to eat oil kasu ramen after a long time, so I headed to a restaurant near Sangukaoka Station on a Sunday at noon. The restaurant is located along the Osaka Chuo Loop Line and is known for its Osaka specialty, oil kasu. The signboard for tsukemen and ramen is a landmark. It's opposite to Nin-niku Ramen Ichiryu, so I walked westward. The interior of the restaurant is still decorated with plenty of sake cases, giving it a diverse and interesting atmosphere. There are partitions in the spacious area, and it feels like they are taking proper measures against COVID-19. A friendly lady guided me to buy a food ticket first. I had already decided on ordering the oil kasu ramen for 780 yen. I poured myself a glass of water and looked around the store. The chopsticks and lotus flowers are also self-service, so I made sure not to forget them. After about 5 minutes, the ramen arrived. The sparkling brown soup with thin slices of roast pork, watercress, and menma had plenty of oil kasu floating on top. I first tasted the soup, which had a sweet and savory flavor from the oil kasu, followed by a good soy sauce taste. Then, I tried the slightly thin straight noodles, which had a smooth texture and firmness that blended well with the soup. The chewing sensation of the oil kasu in the mouth was excellent, and the oiliness was outstanding. I really liked it. The toppings, which are essential for this type of ramen, enhanced the flavor and texture of the dish. Overall, the oil kasu ramen at Jitsuan near Nankai and JR Sangukaoka Station is a must-try for oil kasu lovers in South Osaka. So good! It's my recommendation. I just love oil kasu! (laughs)

I visited the restaurant around 5:30 pm after finishing some errands nearby. It is located just a few minutes from Sangenjaya Station. This was my second time at this restaurant, and last time I had the oil kasu tsukemen, so this time I decided to try the shoyu tsukemen. After purchasing my meal ticket, I handed the number tag to the staff and waited at my seat with a glass of water. It's mostly self-service, so when my number was called, I went to pick up my food. The appearance is simple, with toppings of chashu, menma, and negi if you don't add any extras. It was delicious, but not particularly outstanding, just satisfying. Maybe the oil kasu tsukemen was better after all. Next time, I'll try the ramen. It was delicious.

After work, I had a bowl of tsukemen in front of the hot springs. The tsukemen was refreshing and easy to eat with slurpable noodles. Due to the current situation, they were only serving one person at a time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! ☺️

Photo is 'Abura Kasu Tsukemen' (tax included 880 yen), the most popular item in this shop! The most impressive thing was the texture. The chewy egg noodles, crunchy menma, and meat are well balanced and enjoyable. It is a bit oily due to the abura kasu, but it instantly refreshes you after a long day at work. The shop operates under the concept of a solo ramen specialty store, with non-contact service, ensuring excellent infection prevention measures. The overall taste was delicious, and I would love to try their ramen as well. The shop is conveniently located near the station. ( ´∀`)

Jissai-an in Sakai is a popular ramen restaurant in Sangokugaoka. I was torn between choices but decided to go with the dried fish ramen. I really wanted to try the tsukemen too. The noodles were curly noodles and it was the right choice. I'll have to come back to try something different next time. Thank you for the meal!

Osaka specialty "Abura Kasu Tsukemen & Ramen" located in Mikuni-ga-Oka, Sakai City. I tried their Abura Kasu Tsukemen and Niboshi Ramen. Abura Kasu is a local dish from the Minamikawachi region of Osaka, made by deep-frying beef intestines (horumon). The Abura Kasu Tsukemen was delicious without any unpleasant smell, and the Niboshi Ramen had a nice pork and seafood flavor. I could tell that they take pride in their noodles, which had a good texture even when served cold. Overall, it was a tasty meal.

The companion had soy sauce ramen with rice topped with egg, chashu, and green onions. The clear soy sauce-based broth has a sweetness that coats the tongue, with a flavor that doesn't get boring. The chashu is well-cooked and has a firm texture. The noodles are straight and slightly thin. I chose the dipping noodles with a simple taste. The noodles have a wheat flavor with a hint of amber. The soup has been adjusted to a moderate level, making it easy to slurp up!

On my way to work at Kansai Airport, I stopped at a station near Sakai for lunch. I decided to try katsu udon, which has become quite popular, but I haven't had katsu ramen much before. This time, I ordered tsukemen with a side of egg over rice. When the dish arrived, I took a sip of the noodles. The smooth texture of the noodles was quite nice. However, while the dipping sauce was tasty, I felt that the flavor of the katsu wasn't coming through strongly. Personally, I prefer it when the katsu flavor is more pronounced. Nevertheless, the tsukemen was delicious in its own right. Bon appétit!

My friend suggested going to the kitchen because they were preparing something, so I reluctantly went on a journey to Sakai. I remembered seeing former Japanese volleyball representative Nakagaito enjoying a meal on NHK's Salameshi, so I decided to try Jissakan restaurant. Despite it being past 2 p.m., there were many young people waiting outside in the cold. After waiting for 15 minutes in the back area, we finally got inside. I bought a meal ticket from the machine, and even though I had intended to order the popular oil katsu tsukemen, I ended up unconsciously selecting the spicy oil katsu tsukemen. The broth was spicy yet sweet, with the oil katsu adding a nice touch. I see why there was a line. It was delicious and I could see myself getting addicted to it. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

Spicy oil-rich dipping noodles with thin straight noodles. The soup is strong in Sichuan pepper, chili pepper, and spiciness. Toppings include oil-rich residue, green onions, watercress, and bamboo shoots. The first bite brings a stimulating spiciness that spreads in the mouth, making the tongue tingle with the aroma of Sichuan pepper and the heat of chili peppers. As you eat more, the sweetness and spiciness from the oil-rich residue mix together, changing the flavor. The soup with a hint of sweetness and the noodles' texture are exquisite and very delicious. In the end, the oil-rich residue is the most delicious part. The classic oil-rich dipping noodles are the most delicious.
