On Tuesday at 14:15, I went to "Tsukemen Ide" in Kitahama. It was my first visit in a while. I ordered the "Tsukemen" for 1,000 yen. When asked about the noodle portion size, I chose the large. It used to be 830 yen three years ago, so it seems like the prices have gone up here too. The dish arrived in 10 minutes. One bite. Delicious. The thick noodles were a slightly brownish color, similar to soba noodles. These noodles are delicious. The dipping sauce with chashu, bamboo shoots, and white onions had a balanced soup with no pork bone smell, just a savory taste. The fish powder added a nice punch of flavor. I added yuzu juice halfway through for a refreshing change in taste. The large portion was quite filling. I was already full. Thank you for the meal.

In the Kitahama area, there is a popular ramen shop known for its tsukemen, called Idehonten. The owner opened the shop in 2011 after branching off from Menya Kagari. The shop has 3 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each, with a shared seating system at the tables separated by acrylic boards. The interior is a bit small, so be mindful of that. During my fourth visit, I arrived after 8 pm on a weekday. The shop was full with one person waiting outside. There were also two groups of foreign customers. I ordered the tsukemen (large) for 830 yen and the seared pork bowl for 380 yen from the ticket machine at the entrance. You can get a free extra serving. The dipping sauce is a thin pork and seafood-based broth, rich in seafood flavor and creamy without overpowering the noodles. The noodles are thick homemade noodles made from whole wheat, with a glossy appearance that stimulates the appetite. They are chewy and elastic, with a wheat fragrance. The toppings include sliced char siu, chopped green onions, chopped onions, and menma in the dipping sauce. The condiments on the table include yuzu kosho, shichimi togarashi, yuzu juice, and black pepper. There is also a pot for adding more soup. The diced char siu bowl is a must-try dish with perfect compatibility with kimchi. I love the tsukemen the most, so I crave this taste regularly.

Popular tsukemen restaurant in Kitahama. There are 3 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each. Although it is a tsukemen restaurant, what caught my attention was the "Fragrant Aroma Ramen" recommended by a reviewer. This is a menu available only at night, priced at 1,000 yen with a seasoned egg. The noodles are similar to thick Kita-Kata ramen, with a good firmness. The soup is unique! The word "fragrant" is spot on, as the sweet blend of soy sauce gives off a distinctive aroma that is unlike any other. I usually prefer salt-based ramen, so I'm not a fan of heavily soy sauce-flavored ones, but this aged soy sauce has a richness that doesn't get tiring. If you are a soy sauce lover, this is a type you probably haven't encountered before, so I recommend giving it a try. Toppings include bamboo shoots and chopped onions. The combination of fragrant soy sauce with onions is exquisite. Also, as a fan of spicy food, the table's chili peppers were surprisingly delicious! Next time, I might try the tsukemen. Thank you for the meal!

Today I went to Kitahama. Tsukemen Ide-san is located in Kitahama, and it is from the same group as the miso ramen shop there! I ordered the fish and pork bone based tsukemen, which is a rich and aromatic dish. The soup has a strong fish flavor, and it comes with burnt green onions, I think? Just as the name suggests, it has a fragrant and rich taste. The noodles are medium-thin and flat, with a nice chewy texture. The ramen was also delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I finished work early and searched for nearby ramen shops. I chose "Tsukemen Ide" from the list of hits. Although I wanted to have ramen, they only served curry tsukemen for lunch. It was past 1 pm and the table seats were full, so I sat at the counter. The noodles were thick and reminded me of thin udon noodles. I tried the noodles without any toppings, and while they were firm, I felt they lacked a bit of flavor. The broth, with diced chashu, menma, and chopped green onions, had a reliable curry flavor. I finished by adding rice to the remaining broth. Overall, it was a tasty meal.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon around 12:10. I was able to get in without waiting in line depending on the timing. After that, I waited a little bit. I ordered the regular tsukemen! The noodles had a nice texture and went down smoothly. When dipped in the broth, the flavor combined well and made it very easy to eat, so I kept on eating until I finished the large portion. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since my last visit. Before coming, I always think I want to eat tsukemen, but when I face the ticket machine, I always end up pressing the button for Karami Soba. The same thing happened today, but I have no regrets. It's really delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will come again!

I had been curious about this shop for a while, so I decided to go for the classic option first - the ramen with seasoned boiled egg. I also ordered a side of shredded pork bowl. The ramen was light and the shredded pork bowl was delicious. Personally, I prefer rich flavors over light ones, so next time I might try the rich ramen or the curry ramen that I've been eyeing.

Foodlog overall rating 3.63 Visit date: Friday, August 18, 2023, 19:50 Order: - Fragrant Flavor Soba 900 yen + Large size 100 yen - Ajitama Tsukemen (dipping noodles with flavored egg) Large 1,100 yen Upon arrival at the restaurant, there was one person waiting outside. After purchasing the meal ticket, I waited in line for about 15 minutes before entering. The restaurant had a mix of counter seats and table seats. Fragrant Flavor Soba: This was the most shocking dish of the day! The noodles were visually similar to hand-kneaded noodles, with a medium-thick flat and twisted texture. The noodles were very delicious with a firm texture. The soup was a light soy sauce base, but the umami flavor was incredible, unlike anything I've tasted at other ramen shops. Both the noodles and soup were so delicious that I finished them in no time. Ajitama Tsukemen: The noodles were thick whole wheat noodles, with a chewy texture and a good throat sensation. The soup was a seafood and pork bone broth, so I expected a sweet and heavy flavor, but it was surprisingly strong in seafood flavor with a light and tasty taste. This is the restaurant's signature dish and it is indeed delicious, but there are similar menu items at other shops, so the impression may be a bit lacking. The service was neither particularly good nor bad, just average.

I visited the restaurant at 2:00 pm on a regular day and it was just full of customers! Even by 2:30 pm, there was a constant flow of people coming in and out. This time, I had the curry tsukemen with extra flavored egg! It also comes with a mini rice. The combination of curry and tsukemen is so delicious! The noodles are made using udon techniques, so they are very chewy and surprisingly filling. The noodles are smooth and easy to eat! The curry broth has plenty of menma and chashu in it. The flavored egg is half-cooked and creamy! The broth is light and easy to eat, with a good balance with the noodles. Lastly, dipping the white rice into the curry broth is a luxurious treat! Next time, I'll try the classic tsukemen! Thank you for the meal!

The noodles are not bad, the soup is not bad either. It's a place known for delicious tsukemen, but the broth in the pot has been lukewarm since lunchtime. Tsukemen is meant to have the dipping sauce hot, so it would be better if they kept the broth piping hot. I really felt like I was dipping into a bath. If you're looking forward to the soup until the end, you might want to reconsider.

Independent from Menya Kagayaki for over 10 years, this popular tsukemen restaurant is located southeast of Kitahama Station where there is always a long line. Just 400m to the west, their second brand "Miso noodle koji" is also open and equally popular. Customers can choose between regular or large size noodles for the same price. The whole wheat noodles pack a punch, making the dipping and curry tsukemen stand out. The curry tsukemen even comes with a mini rice to enjoy the soup after finishing the noodles, providing a satisfying meal especially with the large size. The dipping tsukemen is a lunch-only menu item, featuring a rich broth with finely chopped vegetables and meat for a chunky texture. It's rich but not greasy, allowing for easy and hearty eating. Personally, I recommend the dipping tsukemen. The yuzu juice, yuzu pepper powder, and delicious chili pepper on the table can be sprinkled on the noodles to add a strong and interesting accent without overpowering the soup's flavor. Being able to change the taste while maintaining the soup's flavor is a plus. Trying just the noodles sprinkled with yuzu pepper powder is also enjoyable. During weekdays around noon, the restaurant is crowded with office workers. To avoid the line, aim for around 11:30 am or after 1 pm.

This shop is a branch of the miso NOODLE koji shop I visited before, and the miso NOODLE koji was also very delicious, so I was looking forward to it this time. When I arrived at the shop at 13:30, the shop was full and I had to wait a little to get in. This time, I had the tsukemen "zenbu no se" for 1,380 yen. The toppings included boiled egg, 2 slices of chashu, clams, and menma. The thick whole wheat noodles were in a fish and pork bone-based dipping sauce with diced chashu and menma. The fish broth tsukemen noodles were indeed thick noodles. I first tried the noodles as they were, and they were chewy and flavorful. When I dipped them in the soup, the noodles absorbed the soup and it was amazing. The chashu topping was really delicious, with sweet fat melting in my mouth. It was truly delicious.

Tsukemen Ide! Lunch during work! Arrived a bit late, around 5:40 pm. Despite its popularity, this was my first visit. There were a few customers inside. I ordered the tsukemen, choosing from the sold-out menu. I added a flavored egg as a topping. The rich fish and pork bone soup with fish powder was thick and flavorful. The homemade thick whole wheat noodles had a great texture and paired well with the soup. The crunchy texture of the green onions and the sweetness of the chopped onions were also delicious. The flavored egg was perfectly runny and tasty. The char siu slices were seared to perfection, giving a smoky flavor and a meaty texture. I also added yuzu juice to the noodles and yuzu pepper to the soup, which added a refreshing citrusy aroma and a spicy kick. Lastly, I enjoyed the soup refill to the perfect consistency. Overall, it was a delicious bowl of tsukemen from start to finish!

Head to "Tsukemen Ide Honten" in Chuo-ku, Osaka. It's located about 210m southeast from Exit 5 of Kitahama Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line. If you're driving, there's a parking ticket available right on the street south of the shop. The interior has a straight counter with 3 seats and 3 tables for 4 people each, and when I visited on a Wednesday at 8:30 pm, it was almost full. The tables are shared seating. Despite being a tsukemen specialty shop, they also offer ramen dishes like "Kitahama Black" and "Rich Aromatic Soba" during evening hours. On the other hand, the "Rich Thick Tsukemen" is only available during lunch. I selected the "Tsukemen" for 880 yen from the ticket machine. The regular and large sizes are the same price, so you need to specify when you hand over the ticket. If you're aiming for the large size, make sure not to press the "extra noodles" button by mistake, as it will be considered a special serving (laughs). The table condiments include yuzu pepper, spicy shichimi, yuzu juice, and black pepper. The thick, wavy soba-colored noodles have a moist and chewy texture. When eaten without any toppings, you can taste the rich aftertaste of "grain flavor" that seems to have a low glycemic index. Its unique taste cannot be simply categorized as "whole grain noodles" commonly found in the market. The dipping sauce is a classic tonkotsu and seafood-based broth with a subtle thickness. It already has a strong spicy kick from the start, balancing out the sweetness of the tonkotsu. The generous amount of chopped purple onions and green onions makes your mouth lively throughout the meal (laughs). Other toppings besides the onions include sliced chashu and menma, both soaked in the dipping sauce. The hot split soup with a hint of kelp revives the cooled dipping sauce, bringing out the aroma of the tonkotsu. The bottom of the bowl is covered in bone powder, showcasing the intensity of the dipping sauce. This makes me curious about the lunch-only "Rich Thick Tsukemen." Thank you for the meal (^^).

Yes, it's ramen time! "All Toppings Tsukemen (Large)" for 1,380 yen at Tsukemen Ide. Today, I visited Tsukemen Ide in Kitahama. There was a line outside, showing how popular this place is. Many foreign visitors were also there. After a short wait, I entered the restaurant. They have table seating with a shared style. I ordered the "All Toppings Tsukemen in Large size". I actually visited during a day drinking session, so I was a bit nervous about ordering the large size. After a few minutes of waiting, the dish arrived. [Visual] The separate plate style for toppings adds to the luxurious presentation. The noodles have a strong presence and you can feel the dedication put into them. [Noodles] First, I tried a bite of the noodles on their own. The homemade thick straight noodles have a nice chewy texture and you can taste the flavor when you bite into them. [Soup] Next, I dipped the noodles into the soup. The pork and seafood-based dipping sauce complements the thick noodles perfectly. There were also small pieces of chashu pork in the soup, giving it an extra richness. [Toppings] The separate plate toppings included pork chashu, seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The pork chashu was crispy and had a delicious fatty sweetness when you bite into it. Adding a few drops of yuzu juice from the table made the dish even more enjoyable. Before I knew it, I had finished the whole bowl. It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal. [Shop Information] [Shop Name] Tsukemen Ide [Address] 1-8-5 Hirano-cho, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka [Business Hours] 11:00-15:00, 17:30-22:00 [Regular Holiday] Saturday night, Sunday, Public Holidays [Access] About a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro Kitahama Station *Business days, hours, and formats are subject to change.

I always peek into this shop and see it full of customers, so I thought I'd wait for a chance to go. One day, I saw a few empty seats and decided to go for it, but there was already one group of customers waiting. However, I was already craving for tsukemen, so I decided to wait. I chose to try the curry tsukemen, bought the meal ticket, and the staff asked me if I wanted a regular size or a large size. Knowing that the price was the same, and feeling very hungry, I went for the large size. When the bowl of noodles and a little bit of rice arrived, I easily finished it all. I tried out the various condiments on the table, and finished off with the rice. It was delicious and I left feeling satisfied.

The best! Champion! Tsukemen (large) with Menma topping: I have been a regular at Ide-san's shop. The fish-infused tonkotsu soup and the wheat-based noodles offer a unique deliciousness! Start by trying the noodles alone. The noodles and soup are delicious, but the pork belly chashu, menma, and onions are all tasty too! Add 6-7 twists of the pepper mill to the fish-infused tonkotsu dipping sauce, and squeeze lemon juice 3 times. For the noodles, add lemon juice 5-6 times to dilute the soup (made with bonito broth) and add a little yuzu pepper for an extra kick. Be careful not to add too much as it can make it too spicy.

Visited at 9:00 PM on a regular day. No wait. Tsukemen for 880 yen, with all toppings for an additional 500 yen. The fish and pork bone broth in the tsukemen had a strong flavor. The well-balanced fish broth complemented it nicely. The wheat noodles had a strong flavor and were firm, providing a great texture. The menma (bamboo shoots) seasoned with chili peppers added a nice touch for flavor variation. The soup dilution was also well done. #Ramen #Tsukemen #RichFishandPorkBone #FishandPorkBone #ThickNoodles #Rich #Dinner #Kitahama #OsakaCity #Osaka

Arrived at Kitahama Station at 2:45 pm on Saturday afternoon. I wanted to eat ramen, so I flipped through Tabelog. I saw that Ide-san is open until 3 pm! But in situations like this, sometimes the last order is at 2:30 pm, right? I thought, if not, maybe I'll go to Osho. But they were open! Last order was at 3 pm. It was delicious!
