Visited this restaurant on a Friday night with a senior colleague from work. We stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a late-night izakaya that was still open. The name of the restaurant, "Aiyoo," seemed to be derived from the enthusiastic greeting we received from the staff - "Aiyoo!!". It's a lively izakaya where you can have a fun time drinking. The ikura (salmon roe) served in a wooden box looked delicious and tasted just as good. The deep-fried octopus was the best dish we ordered that night. Unlike typical octopus tempura, it had a unique texture that was enjoyable to chew on. The prices were reasonable, so if you're looking for a place to have a quick drink, I recommend giving this place a try.

I visited the Sanchoku Sugi na Izakaya Aiyo Kitasanjo for the first time. It was late on a Sunday night, and most of the restaurants near my hotel in Sapporo were closed. The staff was very friendly and offered us a surprisingly cheap all-you-can-drink course over the phone. Even though the manager was not from Hokkaido, they understood our expectations for a Hokkaido izakaya and served us dishes that were all about Hokkaido, such as ramen salad, fresh hokke fish, steamed oysters, zangi (similar to fried chicken), sashimi platter with various Hokkaido seafood, and uni sushi. The drink options included Sapporo Classic beer and local lemon sour. The energetic staff's excellent service made me feel like I want to visit again when I return to Sapporo. It was a memorable experience with warm encounters with the people in Sapporo.

We had a group of four customers from Tokyo and enjoyed a drink at this restaurant. We had a 120-minute all-you-can-drink plan, assorted sashimi, grilled whole Atka mackerel, ramen salad, and a five-piece assorted skewer set. We started with refreshing draft beer to relax after a tiring day, then switched to sweet potato shochu. The grilled mackerel paired well with the shochu. As we drank, work-related discussions became livelier. We kept ordering more drinks, and before we knew it, we had a night of heavy drinking. It was a great evening. Thank you for the meal.

On July 9th, I met up with an old friend for the first time since the pandemic started. We didn't have a specific place in mind to drink, so we searched on the spot and found this restaurant. The phrase "Hokkaido's seafood, the expensive days are over" caught our attention. The menu had options like "Masu Rice (Tekka Masu, Ikura Masu, Salmon Masu, Hokkaido Masu)" that intrigued us. We arrived around 5:30 pm without a reservation, and only counter seats were available. We started with a toast with beer and ordered some appetizers, but nothing really stood out. The Masu Rice we were looking forward to was a bit disappointing as the masu itself wasn't as big as we expected. The phrase "the expensive days are over" didn't seem very accurate. Overall, it wasn't cheap either. Since moving from Kanto in early June, I've noticed that while there is an abundance of seafood and other ingredients in Hokkaido, it feels like they're not fully utilizing them.

I was really hungry, so I went to an izakaya near the hotel. The first place I went to allowed smoking, which was unexpected, so I canceled and went to this place instead. It was quite late but the place was busy, probably because it was the weekend. The staff were young and energetic, and you could place your order by scanning a QR code with your smartphone, which gave the place a youthful vibe. It's a chain izakaya, so it was neither good nor bad, just average.

I stayed at Hotel New Otani Sapporo and visited this nearby restaurant. The all-you-can-drink menu includes Sapporo Classic beer, which is a great deal at 890 yen for 90 minutes. The food options such as sashimi, gyoza, chicken wings, and zangi were plentiful and satisfying. The staff were friendly and made the dining experience enjoyable. I would like to come back again.

I went to Hokkaido for a trip using Go To Travel. The shop cooperated with temperature checks and alcohol disinfection, so we felt safe and trusted! The table we were guided to had partitions, so we could relax without worrying about people around us, which gave us a sense of security considering the current situation. The complimentary dish was Toro Taku, which was very rich and became my favorite... A restaurant with delicious complimentary dishes is always a good choice!! Although I had a bit of resistance to Japanese sake and unconsciously avoided drinking it, I tried a little bit of Oni Koroshi that my parents ordered since we were here. Maybe it was because it was a local sake, it wasn't too strong, and I was able to drink it!! My parents said Oni Koroshi was dry, so my debut with dry sake was with Oni Koroshi (lol). The horse sashimi and venison tataki were very delicious, the Zangi was reliably tasty, and I was able to enjoy my first grilled oysters without any unpleasant smell, feeling happy that something I tried for the first time was so delicious... The staff were also very friendly, and I thought I would like to visit again!

I went out for a drink with some like-minded friends for the first time since the new corona uproar. We decided to go to the "night district" in Sapporo, but I found Susukino a bit scary, so we went to the area around Sapporo Station instead (laughs). We chose the restaurant "Sanchi Chokusou Ikinai Izakaya Aiyō" based on the recommendation of our young friends. It's not often that I visit chain restaurants like this without young people, so I was quite happy about it. I only took a few photos. The food at this kind of restaurant is neither good nor bad, but it's decently tasty (laughs). I got drunk for the first time in a while with the all-you-can-drink option. It was a fun drinking party!! I went straight home without making any detours on JR!!

A street-level restaurant in Sapporo, located at North 3 West 2. Visited after seeing a sign for lunch. They were offering half-price sushi lunches for a limited time, including nigiri, bowls, and chirashi. "Aiyo" - I think I visited a long time ago at a 2nd floor location near Tanukikoji. The interior had large music playing, not from the radio. Visited alone but was seated in a private room. Perhaps all seats are private rooms. Opted for the "Hourai" lunch set with 12 pieces of nigiri. Normally priced at 1,900 yen, but half-off at 950 yen. Included tuna, salmon, squid from Hakodate, octopus, sweet shrimp, scallop from Hokkaido, yellowtail, homemade mackerel, yellowtail, live-caught red snapper, king crab, tobiko gunkan, and homemade salmon roe gunkan. Sushi was served in a square wooden tub, with decently sized slices of fish. The portion was small but the salmon roe was delicious. Just as I was about to pay and leave, they brought out miso soup with finely chopped green onions and wheat gluten. Finished eating, thank you for the meal.

Each restaurant may have different grilled dishes, so it's best to check beforehand. This particular branch on North 3rd Street has a wide variety of menu options compared to other chain stores. The staff seem to receive proper training, as there are no complaints about energetic and efficient service. The selection of drinks is extensive, and the Lemon Highball with plenty of lemon is highly recommended. There are many variations of Lemon Highball on the menu, such as Sicilian, Setouchi, and Salt Lemon. There are also many options for super carbonated drinks, and the all-you-can-drink price is very affordable, making it especially recommended for young people. The Chicken Wings and Yam Omelette are delicious! The Wasabi Salad with Mountain Potatoes, Cheese Spring Rolls with Taro Rice Cake, Fresh Oysters, and Thick Ham Cutlets with sauce are all tasty choices. While the meat dishes are delicious, the sashimi in the course meal was comparable to supermarket quality. The dessert in the course meal is slightly better than convenience store level. Today I went to Sapporo for business and let my former subordinates choose the restaurant. Sapporo is still ridiculously cheap, with all-you-can-drink options starting from the 700 yen range for 90 minutes. This time, we extended it to 120 minutes. There is a variety of prices, with a sashimi platter for 590 yen, one chicken wing for 100 yen, and a bowl of salmon roe and whitebait for 100 yen with membership registration. On the other hand, there are also higher priced items like the giant hokke fish for 1480 yen, showing a good balance. The chicken wings were delicious with a sweet soy sauce marinade. The hokke fish had a large and thick flesh, not too fatty which I personally liked. The dumplings were a good size and surprisingly tasty. The salmon roe and whitebait combination was excellent with a slightly sweet and salty flavor. Overall, after drinking quite a bit, the total cost was around 3000 yen per person. Sapporo Classic is the best after all.

This was a gathering drinking party. I was not the organizer. This type of izakaya usually serves courses for gatherings. The order in which the dishes were served seemed a bit unusual. We started with a bamboo shoot simmered dish, followed by sashimi, salad with thickly sliced roast beef, hittsumi rice, and finally petite cakes. The sashimi tasted a bit fishy, the salad had bonito flakes which made it too strong, and the roast beef was tough. The hittsumi rice turned out to be rice cooked in a pot, despite asking the staff multiple times. It felt like the rice dish should have come before dessert. And after the rice, we were served raw oysters. Overall, there were many points to criticize. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I went to "Sukina Izakaya Aio North 3-jo Store," a restaurant that offers direct delivery from the production area. After attending a live performance by a certain artist at Kitae-ru, my friends and I decided to have some drinks afterwards, and we thought it would be convenient to go to a place near the hotel where we were staying. We arrived at the restaurant around 9:30 pm and found that it was crowded with other customers. We were seated and each of us ordered our favorite drinks. I ordered a Sapporo Classic draft beer. Along with the beer, we were served a complimentary dish of negitoro. We also ordered tofu salad, fried potatoes, a skewer assortment, and I think there was something else we ordered but I can't remember. Since it was all-you-can-drink, I enjoyed plenty of Classic beer (laughs).

I was guided to the second floor and seated at a table. I ordered a variety of dishes, and I quite like chicken wings. The sashimi didn't seem very fresh, but overall it was okay. It was rare to find Dekavita C, and they had cocktails made with it, which made me happy as I already like the juice.

After warming up at Daimaru's "kiki YOCOCHO", we came aiming for the super cheap all-you-can-drink deal on LINE, but there wasn't even a "beer-like" option, so we ended up with the 90-minute drink all you can with a classic drink included for 577 yen (thanks to the LINE discount). It's still pretty cheap though. It was a little past 6:30 pm on a Tuesday when I visited with my friend who eats lightly. The place was almost full, so we were guided to a makeshift attic-like space on the second floor. Maybe the effect of the all-you-can-drink discount on LINE? Sitting on the tatami mats after taking off our shoes, my feet hurt. This second-floor seating is hot and shaky. Cheers with a classic drink! The appetizer for 390 yen was Kinpira. I like it when it has a crunchy texture like matchsticks. For the all-you-can-drink, each person is required to order two items. I was having a hard time choosing because nothing really stood out to me. The ham cutlet for 590 yen and the pork shabu salad for 590 yen were both delicious. The cheese and bonito flakes oven-baked dish for 590 yen was a mix of rice, bonito flakes, cheese, and egg wrapped in cooking paper and then topped with green onions. It was visually appealing and a taste that most Japanese would enjoy! The green seaweed tofu for 530 yen had plenty of seaweed, but the taste was a bit bland for my liking. It was so hot on the second floor that after three beers, I ended the meal with jasmine tea and paid the bill. We spent 90 minutes there and the total amount paid for two people was 4571 yen (including tax). We left a little after 8 pm and headed home without making any detours. Good job!
