Mocha MiLk Tea
A restaurant that has been offering takeout since the old days. It's 5:30 PM on a weekday. I can park my car in front of the restaurant and the curtain is hanging, so I decide to go inside. Even before opening the door, I can hear lively music playing at a very loud volume. They seem not to notice because of the loud music. I ask them if everything is okay, and they respond with a yes. I assume this is their background music, but then they turn off the music and switch on the TV for me. They only have a counter seating. At the end of the counter, I can see a stack of books or something, and in the back, there are samples of huge portions on display. Oh, right, this is the place where Angela Sato couldn't finish the huge portion challenge! Water is poured from the kitchen faucet into a glass, making a loud noise. I was a bit hesitant to drink it, so I just leave it there for now. I order the miso ramen for 750 yen. About 7 minutes later, they hand it to me over the counter. They warn me that it's hot, so I take it carefully. It's a large bowl, like a giant mortar. The soup is plentiful, and the noodles are of a decent amount. I take a sip of the soup. Oh, this is the kind of flavor I like. It's a nostalgic taste that I enjoy. The noodles are also the kind I like, firm and chewy. The chashu is a bit thin, but not too heavily seasoned, just right. The half of the boiled egg is a bit messy, which is funny but delicious. I like this seasoning and noodles. The menma is usually not my favorite when it's thick, but here it's soft and tasty. The green onions are crunchy, and the balance is really good. Towards the end, I cautiously try the water. Yes, it's fine. I had exactly 750 yen, so I give it to them, and they just put it in their wallet normally. It was delicious! I say, and the owner replies with, "Really? Thank you so much!" They seem quite cute. This is a ramen that I occasionally crave for its taste. They have unique items on the menu like the huge portions, so I'll bring my son next time. It's a quirky restaurant, so I find myself staring at the dishes and cups. It's fine, but if you're concerned, it might be better to bring your own water bottle. It was a taste I hadn't had in a while. I'd like to try other miso ramen flavors, but they seem a bit pricey. Also, it might get really hot in there during the summer. I'll go back before it gets too hot. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
