First of all... *Please note that photography is prohibited. I had a business meeting in Shinsaibashi on this day, so I did some research on lunch spots the day before! It's always fun looking for a restaurant in the area, right? I actually wanted to go to the stylish grill Tyu, which I had been eyeing in the vicinity, but I happened to come across this restaurant and when I found out it had a Michelin one-star rating, I decided to go here. Armed with a map, I made my way to the restaurant, but the location was quite confusing! I thought it couldn't possibly be on this street, but it turned out it was! I took a picture of the exterior before entering the small restaurant. As it had just opened, I was the first customer there. I took off my shoes and headed to the counter seat in the raised area. The restaurant is very small, with only 11 counter seats, I believe. Surprisingly, when I asked the young owner if I could take photos of the food, it was a no-go! Bummer. Anyway, the lunch here consists of a bento box only. They will bring out the bento without you needing to say anything. ◆Bento price: 1890 yen The bento box is two-tiered, packed full of side dishes, while the rice, red miso soup, and pickles were served separately. [Contents of the side dishes] Tuna sashimi, simmered baby octopus, seasonal vegetables, simmered egg, simmered beef tendons, pickled cabbage, simmered fiddleheads, salmon nanban, simmered sardines, simmered shrimp, dried tofu, clams, tai no ko (sea bream roe), grilled fish (yellowtail?), and more. Also included are red miso soup, pickles, and rice in a clay pot. The side dishes were truly delicious. They were diverse and very enjoyable. The seasoning was elegant and just right in terms of richness. The side dishes were hidden in every nook and cranny of the bento box, and it was exciting to discover them, hehe. The red miso soup and pickles were also top-notch! Furthermore, the rice was delicious! It was carefully cooked in a clay pot, glossy with well-defined grains, plenty of starch, and a natural sweetness. I was delighted that I could have seconds. Although the food was delicious, the inability to take photos was a downside. In terms of comparison, it's similar to the lunch at Maika. On the flip side, if I were to mention a negative aspect, there was no music playing, the employees were silent throughout, and only the sound of the ventilation fan could be heard, which made me feel incredibly lonely as a solo diner. Well, the food was quite delicious, so I was satisfied.
