I went to the breakfast restaurant at the opening time. Despite being almost full, there was no crowding on this day. The usual dishes were lined up as always - shrimp fry, mini hamburgers, spaghetti, sausages, scrambled eggs, simmered dish, and sweet and sour saury. Next, there were salads, fruits, pudding, and rice accompaniments. Rice, curry, and miso soup were served in that order in a loop. Fried eggs and ochazuke were made to order. There were about 5 types of bread. It was a bit disappointing that the steak was gone. The main dishes of the day seemed to be shrimp fry and mini hamburgers. The shrimp fry was average, maybe it was a commercial product? It was a typical breakfast buffet at a business hotel. I remember they used to have ice cream as well.

Eastern Hokkaido 2 nights 3 days. The hotel chosen for the 2nd night. Hotel WBF Kushiro with breakfast included, using the local resident discount, the single room cost was approximately 5,100 yen. This plan is full of coupons. WBF coupon 3,000 yen + local resident support coupon 2,000 yen = effectively 100 yen! The hotel chosen for the 2nd night was WBF Kushiro. Although there is no large public bath, the WBF coupon was very helpful. (The previous day, we spent 9,000 yen at Izakaya Hatago). Check-in. The parking lot is located across from the hotel, in a gravel parking lot. After circling around a one-way street twice, we found it. We should have done some research beforehand. The payment was made in advance, and the parking fee (500 yen) was added to the total amount. They confirmed the vaccination certificate, presented the driver's license, and received coupons for 3 people. (9,000 yen WBF coupon and 6,000 yen local resident discount coupon). After payment, they said, "You can use this coin for the welcome drink..." Apparently, this magic coin allows you to buy any drink from the Suntory vending machine in the lobby. Wow! This is the first time I've seen something like this! And you can exchange it anytime during your stay. We received 3 coins, used one, and used the rest at check-out. We arrived at 4:30 p.m. and went to the public bath at Pako Kushiro, which is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. (You can use the bath until 1 a.m., and they have a sauna, for 740 yen per person). We returned to the hotel around 10 p.m. and had a good night's sleep. Breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m., which is typical for a business hotel. We went to the buffet at 6:45 a.m. and noticed that there were mostly men. Probably mostly business travelers. Although there were few items, the quality was not bad. We ate lightly to enjoy lunch. ★ Daily meat dish ⇒ Ginger pork stir-fry ⇒ It's nice to have pork for breakfast! The seasoning was not too strong, which was good. ★ Kushiro Herb Egg raw egg ⇒ Having raw eggs in the morning makes you want to eat TKG (raw egg over rice). The eggs were delicious. You could also order scrambled eggs made with the same eggs from the chef. ★ WBF special Akanko pork curry ⇒ It didn't have many ingredients, but it was quite tasty and flavorful curry. It would be perfect with egg over rice. I had a glass of milk, and it was delicious. It was a light meal, so this review is not very detailed, but I took some photos in the venue for reference. If you order breakfast separately, it costs 1,320 yen, but considering the quality and price, it seemed worth it. However, Kushiro has many breakfast options, so staying without meals and eating in town could be another option. I would have been even happier if there was natto available, even if it was a cheap one. I have no other complaints. The accommodation and parking fees were reasonable, and it was a good hotel!

In December 2021, I decided to stay at a local hotel for the first time in a while. This time, I booked a room at Hotel WBF Kushiro with their "New Travel Style Discount" and walked over after finishing work. This WBF hotel is supposed to be operated by Hoshino Resorts now. I was looking forward to breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet, and it looked pretty ordinary. Huh? There was a picture of steak on the breakfast poster, but I couldn't find it anywhere... Anyway, when I come to a place like this, I always go for curry! Let's top it off with a pork cutlet and a sausage. This beef curry has just the right amount of spiciness and is quite delicious. I think it's the type of curry used in the food service industry, but it's pretty tasty. For my second round, I asked the staff to make me a fried egg, and while waiting, I got some bacon, rice, and miso soup. When the sizzling skillet with the fried egg arrived, I also lightly cooked the bacon I got. The smell of the sizzling bacon really whetted my appetite. I put it on top of the rice to make a bacon and egg bowl and enjoyed it. Finally, I had pudding and coffee to finish. It was a fun morning, and I was satisfied. This hotel is conveniently located near the drinking district, so it's nice. If it's affordable, I'd like to stay here again. By the way, during breakfast, I witnessed a hall staff member handling three extremely rude guests with only one meal ticket but shamelessly eating and leaving a mess. The way she calmly dealt with the situation with the mother, her friend, and the daughter was impressive. I was watching and rooting for her. I hope she keeps up the good work.

I stayed at this hotel after a while and it was a good experience. The hotel itself is great, but if you check in late, the parking lot is far away. It's fine when the weather is good, but not so convenient on rainy days. They have renovated the hotel to be completely non-smoking and upgraded the breakfast. I was looking forward to the breakfast here, which used to be free but is now paid. It's nice that it's less crowded now. The breakfast hasn't changed much, but that's okay. The steak they offer is tastier than before. It's not tough, so I had a lot of it and was satisfied. The daily special was chicken cutlet, which was also delicious. I wonder if the pork curry has meat in it? They also serve grilled salmon, sweet simmered saury, sausages, and other typical breakfast items. There are different types of ice cream, which would make kids happy. They also had desserts. I will stay here again for the delicious breakfast.

A lodging located near the bustling area in the center of Kushiro city. The staff provides attentive service and the space is comfortable. They offer a breakfast buffet, and from 9 PM, you can enjoy "night-crying soba" which includes two types: soy sauce ramen and spicy miso meat noodles. The difference is whether it contains meat miso or not. It's nice that they provide it for free to guests. The taste is average. The lodging is comfortable. Thank you for the meal.

July 2019. Day 3 in Hokkaido. Departed Shiretoko and arrived in Kushiro in the evening~ Stayed at 'Hotel WBF Kushiro' for the night. The room rate was around 7000 yen per night including breakfast (quite a good deal!). This hotel offers a lot of services such as welcome coffee (also tea), soft-serve ice cream at the lobby, and night-time soba noodles. You can even make your own soft-serve ice cream with four flavors to choose from and various toppings available. I chose matcha flavor. For dinner, I had tonkatsu at 'Izumiya' and then enjoyed the self-service night-time soba noodles back at the hotel (from 9:00 to 10:00 PM). The next morning, I had breakfast at the buffet which included unique items like Japanese-style beef steak and curry made with Akanko pork. They also had six types of dish-type ice cream, milk, and delicious croissants. The service may not be extravagant, but the hotel focuses on providing excellent dining experiences, and for the price, the value is quite good. The staff was very polite, and the room facilities were comfortable. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. Thank you for the short but pleasant stay~

"Hotel Lasso Kushiro" has been completely renovated in May 2019 and reborn as "Hotel WBF Kushiro". The difference between plans with breakfast included and not included is 1,157 yen. The breakfast fee has increased since the old Hotel Lasso Kushiro. This is a bit disappointing. Furthermore, the variety of dishes is also limited. There are no fish roe, grilled fish, or salted fish. When booking on a certain website, it said "Steak is recommended for breakfast..." Well, it does look like steak, but... I thought they would cook it in front of you since it was recommended. The renovated hotel is bright and clean, but... a bit disappointing. The other side dishes were okay tasty. I had seconds of the curry cutlet and finished with a pudding for breakfast. You have to bring down your used dishes yourself, it's semi-self service. Well, the accommodation fee was cheap but... Bon appétit. Goodbye."

I stayed at a high cost-performance hotel known for its good breakfast and customer service. Of course, I was there for the breakfast! I was excited to see how it had changed after the rebranding. The breakfast venue was exactly the same. The food hadn't changed much either. There was morning curry, fried food, salad, ice cream, and pudding. Overall, the content was satisfying. The big change was the addition of steak! Having steak in the morning really boosts your energy! When the dishes run out, the staff quickly orders more from the kitchen, so it was stress-free. I ended up eating too much in the morning. It's still a great hotel as always.

Staying without meals for multiple nights with hot springs reservation is luxurious enough here if you don't mind. Parking is 500 yen per night, and since I checked in early this time, I was able to park next to the hotel. Last time I stayed, I had to park further away from the hotel, so if you're coming by car, early check-in might be a good idea. Free coffee and tea service is available, and the night soba from 9:00 to 10:00 is a nice touch. Ramen after drinking tastes delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The Kushiro Donpaku Fireworks Festival in October 2018 was postponed, so I made a last-minute reservation here for around 2000 yen for a simple stay. I was able to check in early and park in the parking lot next to the hotel, but it was already full, so I had to park a little further away. Even though it was a simple stay, there was free night soba noodles available to satisfy a late-night snack. They provided a self-service guide with pictures on how to make the night soba noodles, which was very helpful. It was mentioned that the noodles would be available until 9:00 PM or until they ran out, so despite being full, I still had some. It was a nice service to be able to bring coffee to the room by myself. Overall, it's a good hotel for a budget stay without any frills. Thank you for the night soba noodles.

The breakfast buffet at the business hotel was impressive with a good variety and taste. Although I didn't eat much due to overeating and drinking the night before. The waffles at the bread corner and the wide variety of ice cream were unique and not commonly found elsewhere.

Kushiro. This time, for some reason, I couldn't book my usual hotel, but finally found Hotel Lasso Kushiro. The price was around 10,000 yen, surprisingly high for Kushiro. When I entered the hotel, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and soft-serve ice cream. You can make your own soft-serve ice cream with honey or jam toppings. It was like SoftBank ice cream. I enjoyed it with iced coffee. For breakfast, I had a salad, beef curry, smelt fry, ginger pork, saury, sausage, yogurt with fruits, and pudding. There was also all-you-can-eat ice cream. I tried to be a bit restrained after the all-you-can-eat barbecue the night before. The beef curry was customizable with your favorite toppings. It was a good meal. Next time, I want to approach breakfast without overeating the night before. This was my 147th, 148th, and 149th ice cream reviews this year. Thank you for the meal.

It's been exactly a year since my last stay. Checked in at the front desk where a cute girl greeted me warmly, instantly making me feel at ease. And then, "Would you like some ice cream?" Really? Soft serve ice cream that you make yourself? I attached a cup of ice cream to the machine, pushed the lever while swirling the soft serve. It was so much fun! I noticed that I was the only one eating among the customers, but it was delicious. Welcome ice cream is not something you see often, right? The customer service and other services were excellent, allowing me to relax and unwind. Breakfast was similar to the last time I stayed. Fried shishamo, teriyaki chicken, sweet simmered saury, and more, all delicious. And there was ice cream again. Just like last time, there were six varieties. Ending the meal with ice cream after a hearty breakfast. It was great! Despite staying for work, I found myself relaxing with ice cream. It's a really nice hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast venue here is open from Monday to Saturday from 6:45 to 9:30, and on Sundays and holidays from 7:00 to 10:00. I arrived before 7:00 on Saturday and found it still closed. I soon realized it was because it was the Emperor's birthday. Shortly after, the door opened and I was escorted inside. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with dishes typical of a port town like Kushiro. The fried willow leaf fish and sweet simmered saury were delicious. The simmered dishes, fried eggplant, and sweet simmered saury were all very tasty. I had seconds of the saury and ate two pieces. Compared to the breakfast at the Chitose Air Terminal Hotel where I stayed recently, this one was much better.

This time, the hotel in Kushiro is "Hotel Lasso Kushiro". In Kushiro, we eat and drink every day, so we chose a hotel that is convenient to sleep in and close to the downtown area. The location is next to Eki-machi, the biggest drinking district in Kushiro. In the morning, I could see the Kushiro River covered in fog right below from the window of the room. The hotel room is average, but it seems to be differentiated from other business hotels by various ideas. Firstly, there is a service called "Yonaki Soba" for drinkers. It is self-service ramen, so it's not very delicious, but it fills your stomach after drinking, and the ramen stall-like presentation is interesting. For breakfast, there is the usual buffet style. Local dishes include "Akanko Pork Morning Curry" and "Kushiro Herb Egg" for egg over rice. I first ordered the recommended "Grilled Rice Ball with Dashi Sauce". This is not self-service, but you order it from the staff and it is brought from the kitchen. What came out was a miso grilled rice ball with dashi poured over it. It has a simple taste, perfect for a still sleepy and somewhat hungover body. There was also an ice cream corner in the buffet. There were 6 types of authentic ice cream such as Cookies and Cream and Gateau Chocolat, which would be appreciated especially by women. It is not a luxurious hotel, but I felt efforts to differentiate from other hotels throughout, making it quite a good impression. The accommodation price was also quite reasonable, so I think the satisfaction level is high. The price difference between room-only and breakfast included was 926 yen for all plans, so I think this is the price of breakfast. Thank you for the meal!

It was my first stay in a while. During the summer, hotel availability is extremely limited, with few options to choose from. This hotel is located in a bustling area, making it ideal for sightseeing and drinking parties. I have no complaints about the hotel itself, but the only downside was the breakfast. I didn't like the fact that breakfast, which used to be free, became crowded. Recently, breakfast has become a paid option. Perhaps making it paid has helped reduce the crowds. The restaurant is not very big, so making it paid might be the right decision. I think the food has also improved. The hamburgers seemed homemade, and the warm fried oysters were delicious. They also had seasonal asparagus and a variety of Japanese and Western dishes. The curry was tasty, so I had seconds. For my second helping, I tried the hamburger curry. There were more types of bread available, and six flavors of ice cream. I had a delicious breakfast without the crowds.

The hotel I stay at in Kushiro is my regular place because of the high quality of the complimentary breakfast. I love the special morning curry, fried eggplant, and Napolitan. Especially the curry is exquisite, and I really wish they would open a specialty store for it. It has a bitter taste, is quite spicy, and has a rich flavor that makes it an adult curry. I think it would definitely become popular. I always try to eat lightly for breakfast since I also have lunch, but I end up getting seconds of the curry and eating plenty of side dishes. Of course, this time I had two servings of curry again. But I have no regrets (laughs).

It's been a while since I went on a one-night trip to Kushiro, staying at "Hotel Lasso Kushiro" because it was affordable. When I arrived, I realized I had been here before, which seems to happen a lot lately. The parking lot was far, so I recommend unloading your luggage first if you have a lot. I'm used to traveling, so I only carry the essentials - a suitcase, shoulder bag, and backpack. The location is great, near the downtown area. The front desk service wasn't the best, though. They have a "night-crying soba" restaurant, which is quite straightforward but amusing. The soy sauce ramen was more like regular ramen than Chinese soba. The breakfast buffet wasn't as extensive as I had heard, but apparently it's advertised as "free," which is impressive. I've had free breakfast at many places, but this was a first. The sausages weren't my thing, but those who tried them said they were crispy. The bacon, on the other hand, was disappointing. The curry was delicious, not too sweet, and the shrimp fry was a nice touch. I overate, so I wanted to go for a walk, but first, I had coffee in the lobby. A lady in heavy gear came down from the elevator and left for a walk, only to return shortly after. It turned out she had left her room slippers on! I found it amusing and shared the story with my wife, who couldn't stop laughing. It was like something I would do, she said, and we both burst into laughter again.
