The Szechuan restaurant "Chili Renge" has amazing Mapo Tofu. It's incredible. I've never had such delicious Mapo Tofu before. It's shocking. I've been traveling all over Japan for work, but had to rush to Osaka due to a sudden death. A star has fallen. I reflected on the ephemeral nature of life. I organized a solemn gathering in Kyobashi, Osaka, during summer vacation, as the Imperial Hotel was fully booked and managed to secure the last room at Hotel New Otani thanks to my Rakuten Diamond membership. Osaka and Kobe are places where I have many friends and acquaintances who all welcome me warmly. A cool and stylish junior influencer who travels nationwide invited me to try the Mapo Tofu for lunch, saying, "I think you'll love it, my favorite senior is there every day. It's mouthwatering." I immediately said "I'm in." I felt like I was getting lost in a remote island, but ended up drinking until morning in Shinchi before returning to the hotel. I met up with Tatsuro, who runs the most flashy apparel brand in Japan, and he treated me to lunch. I am quite picky about Chinese food. I have conquered Michelin three-star Chazen Hana in Minami-Azabu, and Michelin two-star Fulei Hua in Azabu-Juban, among others. I have also tried the Mapo Tofu at Akasaka Sichuan Restaurant in front of Hiranokuchi station in the National Ryokan Association building, and the Mapo Tofu made by Chef Komoda, a renowned chef who has worked at 4000 Chinese restaurants and whom I ask to make New Year's dishes every year. However, the Mapo Tofu at Chili Renge surpassed them all, truly exceptional and astonishing. This is wonderful. The lunch Mapo Tofu costs ¥1,100, which would easily be ¥5,500 in Tokyo and fully booked every day. Although I am not familiar with Osaka, the driver who picked me up drove me around tirelessly. The restaurant is located in an office building between Nishi-Shinjuku and Nakano-Sakaue, with a long line of about 25 people. Despite the scorching heat, no one in line would give up their spot. Internally, I thought there was no way there could be such delicious Mapo Tofu in the countryside, but it was truly delicious. The master of the restaurant, who hails from a famous Chinese oil shop, leads the staff efficiently. After a 15-minute wait, the Mapo Tofu arrived. I wanted to show off my expertise in Chinese cuisine by trying Mapo Tofu at the top 100 Chinese restaurants in western Japan, but after just two bites, I had to admit, "I'm sorry, this is really delicious." It was of a level that is not easily found even in Tokyo. It was that amazing. The taste was a perfect blend of spiciness and sweetness, leaving me speechless. Despite the hot weather reducing my appetite, I hesitated to ask for more rice. The egg soup complemented the dish perfectly. There was not a single flaw in the dish. It was the best lunch I've ever had. Osaka, you cannot underestimate it. I discovered La Tour near Shin-Osaka. It's a great location. As someone who has rented in Nishi-Shinjuku and Daikanyama, I must say, it's a nice place. It was the best Mapo Tofu I've ever had. With the ability to discover, share, and visit gourmet restaurants around the world, Tabelog is the best social networking service. Unbeknownst to me, I unknowingly reached the 2nd spot on Yahoo! Trending Words, 9th on Google, and 8th on Twitter trends.
