This year, before returning to Tokyo, I decided to skip Ramen Dojo at New Chitose Airport and instead went to "Kohr Gyoza-ya," a restaurant my friend likes. Kohr brings back memories from my younger days, as it is a well-known brand under the company "Sai Corporation." I started with a draft beer, although they didn't have Sapporo Classic, which was a bit disappointing. The restaurant served Asahi beer instead. We had gyoza, stir-fried Chinese cabbage, and shared a crab fried rice among three of us. For the main dish, we each ordered a noodle dish, ending up overeating as usual. The crab fried rice was delicious, with a nice crunchy texture and a subtle crab flavor. The stir-fried Chinese cabbage was also tasty, with a good garlic flavor. Overall, the quality of the food was surprisingly high for a chain restaurant. I tried the Red Spicy Dan Dan Noodles, which had three chili pepper symbols indicating the highest level of spiciness. The soup wasn't as spicy as expected, but the aroma of spices like Sichuan peppercorn and star anise was delightful. Although the price was over 1000 yen, the noodles were delicious, which I guess is to be expected from a place like "Kohr." It's not a restaurant I would go out of my way to visit in Hokkaido, but it's definitely a good option for tasty Chinese food.

The big dumplings are delicious. The shrimp tantan noodles in the photo are also delicious. The mapo tofu is delicious. The sweet and sour pork is also delicious. Chinese cuisine with a strong taste of Sichuan pepper. It's expensive at the airport, but I want to go back again. The "big dumplings" are so delicious that I recommend trying them when you come to this restaurant.

Every restaurant had long waiting lines. Matsuo Genghis Khan had a wait of 16 groups. A momentary misjudgment can be fatal during dinner time at Chitose Airport. In such cases, go to a Chinese restaurant! There are usually fewer customers who come to Hokkaido specifically for Chinese food, so these restaurants are relatively empty. I visited a nearby Chinese restaurant and, as expected, it was not crowded. It was the same as yesterday's lunch! Today, I ordered seafood fried rice and addictive dumplings. They were delicious. The dumplings didn't become addictive, but they were still tasty. Thank you for the meal!

There are usually fewer customers eating Chinese food in Hokkaido, so they are relatively empty. I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant and, as expected, it was empty. To experience a bit of Hokkaido, I ordered the crab fried rice and shrimp chili set. I convinced myself that the crab and shrimp were from Hokkaido. After a short wait, the food was served. The taste was delicious. Each dish had a typical Chinese flavor. Now, I will move on. Thank you for the meal!

The spacious seating area inside the restaurant was comfortable. I chose the white sesame tantanmen. The soup had a strong saltiness, but the flavor was rich. In the case of noodle dishes, even if the soup is a bit strong, you can adjust how much you mix it with the noodles, so I think it's fine. However, it didn't have a distinctive feature, despite being strong. Since it is not crowded right now, it might be good for when you are in a hurry.

I saw off my son at New Chitose Airport. It was crowded with people. The restaurants had long lines too. After looking around, my son decided on fried rice, so we went to this place. We ordered a crab and lettuce fried rice and dan dan noodles set. My son doesn't like things too spicy, so I made the dan dan noodles my main dish and we shared. We also ordered four large dumplings. It wasn't a Genghis Khan or seafood restaurant, so we were seated quickly. The dan dan noodles weren't too spicy. I chose the black sesame flavor. The large dumplings weren't that big, but they were delicious. It was just right for the two of us to share. Thank you for the meal.

Chinese cuisine at New Chitose Airport! Visit before boarding. Seafood is common in Hokkaido, so Chinese food is a rare find. They serve Asahi beer. The food is just normal Chinese cuisine, but it tastes surprisingly delicious! It's not just in my head, it's really good. It's the kind of junk food you can't resist! Highly recommended. A Chinese restaurant in New Chitose Airport!! The shrimp miso tantan noodles and crab fried rice set!! Both are not bad at all!! The fried rice is slightly moist and the lettuce adds a nice touch. It's a safe choice to satisfy your hunger. The airport prices are a bit high, but there are various set menus available, so if you don't have anything else you want to eat, it's totally fine. If I were to go again, I would try a different menu.

We landed on time, so we had 1 hour until the meeting time. We were hoping to arrive a little earlier, but it seems we were delayed by the snow. Our first stop at Chitose Airport was, of course, "Ramen Dojo". However, we were deterred by the long line at the most popular shop, "Ichigen", at the entrance, so we had to leave early without being able to proceed further. We didn't have time to wander around, so we decided to enter this shop without a line outside. When we asked for something that could be made quickly, they immediately recommended noodle dishes that didn't require cooking toppings. Then we saw a sign for "Tantanmen" and ordered both the "white sesame" and "black sesame" versions. It only took 3 minutes to be served, thanks to our time constraint. The overwhelming amount of sesame covering the surface of both dishes caught our attention. It was nice that they were not stingy with it. This generous portion is typical of Hokkaido. While the basic taste of both dishes was similar, the difference in sesame flavor was noticeable due to the large amount, making us appreciate the aroma of black sesame. The soup, unlike the pre-made taste often found in Northeastern restaurants, was authentically Chinese, which is characteristic of this shop. I used to frequent this place when I lived in Tokyo, so it was quite moving to reunite with it after over a decade. My wife, who had never tried Red Tiger before, was impressed by the well-crafted taste, while I personally found it to be a solid base without any outstanding elements for a Chinese noodle dish. Time flew by, and it was time to head to Eastern Hokkaido in winter. Thank you for the meal.

After several weeks, I visited New Chitose Airport on a holiday. It was past 10 o'clock and the departure lobby was bustling with inbound tourists and school trip students from Honshu. I was trying to decide where to eat from the list of restaurants already open for lunch. I ended up choosing "Kohrakugyoza-bo New Chitose Airport Store" after looking at the food replicas in the window. The restaurant seemed to be the same as the one that used to be in Parco. I remembered eating dumplings when I visited before, so I decided to try it again. The restaurant had 5 six-person booth tables, 11 four-person table tables, and 1 six-person table. There were 2 people in the kitchen and 3 staff members handling the floor efficiently. I was seated at a four-person table towards the back entrance. There were 10 customers already seated and 9 customers waiting. I ordered the "Vegetable Tanmen @1,078 yen" and it was served in 11 minutes. The bowl was filled with a variety of vegetables such as lotus root, carrot, broccoli, wood ear mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, komatsuna, and cabbage. The vegetables had a nice crunch to them and the hot soup had a clean salty taste. The soup seemed a bit light for some people, so adjusting with the condiments on the table might be necessary. Personally, I found the soup to be just right. The noodles were thin and slightly curly, cooked a bit softer than I preferred. You can request them to be cooked al dente, which I would recommend. However, the prices on the menu were quite high due to it being at the airport, making it not so easy to visit casually. I would consider coming back if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I had some business at the airport, so I stayed at a hotel connected to the airport. For dinner, I decided to dine alone at a restaurant in the airport. I was debating whether to have a light meal or enjoy some appetizers with alcohol. After walking around the restaurant area, I settled on having dumplings with beer. I sat at a table and ordered a coriander salad, which I love, along with 4 dumplings and a steamed chicken appetizer. Of course, I also had some draft beer. The coriander salad was delicious with a refreshing dressing, and the dumplings were large and flavorful with a strong garlic taste. I also enjoyed a bottle of Tsingtao beer, which paired well with the Chinese dishes. The steamed chicken appetizer was a perfect snack. The total cost exceeded 3000 yen, but considering it was at an airport restaurant with 2 beers and 3 appetizers, I didn't mind. Overall, I had a great time, especially because I love coriander. Before my flight, I wandered around the terminal building at New Chitose Airport looking for something to eat. Suddenly, I started craving for yakisoba and decided to go into a Chinese restaurant chain. I started with a draft beer, maybe Asahi Super Dry. I ordered the yakisoba with five ingredients in thick sauce, which they said could be made crispy. The sauce was rich but not too sweet, with lots of ingredients. It was decent in terms of taste. The price was on the higher side, probably due to airport prices. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the Red Spicy Tantan Noodles at Red Tiger Dumpling House. Although it is Tantan noodles, the soup was quite light and had a strong element of spicy Szechuan noodles. Personally, I was expecting a thicker, creamier texture typical of Tantan noodles with a hint of peanut sweetness, while still being very spicy. So, I was a bit disappointed. However, the flavor was still good with a nice level of spiciness. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, so next time I will try a different Tantan noodles dish.

I wandered around Chitose Airport for no reason and found a Chinese restaurant. It was a bit pricey because it's at the airport, but the taste was satisfying! It changed the ranking of fried rice in my mind. The bok choy was crispy and the char siu was plentiful. It was a big hit. This might be my last supper. My wife had shrimp wonton and it was also delicious.

"I visited the restaurant on Friday around 1 pm. I will be going back to Fukuoka and Nagasaki for 2 nights and 3 days from this day! Do you ever get a craving for Chinese food? Especially for fried rice, right? Lol. - Tan Tan Men and Crab Lettuce Fried Rice Set ¥1,480. You can choose between shrimp miso tan tan men or curry tan tan men, so I chose the shrimp miso tan tan men. The crab lettuce fried rice is in a half size portion. For dessert, you get the familiar almond jelly. The tan tan men had a lot of dried shrimp, giving it a strong shrimp flavor. It was slightly spicy and on the lighter side. Personally, I prefer thicker sesame or more intense soup, but it was delicious. And the crab lettuce fried rice had real crab meat in it! The lettuce added moisture, making the fried rice moist. On August 12, 2019, the restaurants at Chitose Airport were all extremely crowded during lunchtime. It's the Obon season, so it's even busier! Looking at the samples in front of the store, both my son and I decided to go for the pork belly and vegetable fried rice. When we sat down, we could see the kitchen through the glass, and it looked very busy but efficiently cooking, which got us excited. The pork belly and vegetable fried rice came with a side of egg drop soup. The fried rice was moist yet fluffy, with a slightly strong flavor. The moistness might be due to the liquid or paste-like seasoning used. The high heat cooking of the fried rice was delicious. The rice grains were coated with oil and cooked through, giving a nice heat. The crunchy and refreshing vegetables contrasted well with the richly flavored pork belly, which had a satisfying meaty texture. The pork belly was really delicious! Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be a high-quality fried rice! Well, of course, it's a Chinese restaurant after all. Looking around, it seemed like the pork belly and vegetable fried rice was popular, as several customers were enjoying it. My son also enjoyed it, saying it was very delicious. Yes, satisfied and full! It's time to head to the arrival gate where my eldest son's flight is about to land.
