First visit. When I arrived for lunch, the restaurant was almost full. I used to enjoy Thai and Vietnamese cuisine when I lived in Sapporo, so I was excited to try an Asian restaurant in Kushiro. I ordered the classic pho and nasi goreng. Despite the crowd, the food arrived quickly. I tried the pho first. It was okay... The nasi goreng was also just okay, a bit too sweet and the flavors were a bit off. It felt like Japanese-style Asian cuisine. When I went to pay at the end, the lady at the register had a strong smell of cigarettes. It was surprising. She must have been smoking in the back... I could immediately tell she was a heavy smoker from the strong smell of smoke. Since she works in customer service, I hope she pays more attention to this.

I have been here several times before. Whenever I feel like eating ethnic cuisine, I come here without hesitation. The conversation flows well and I often order pudding and coffee for dessert. The pudding is firm and topped with coffee ice. It's not always available, but when it is, I enjoy it.

Visit date April 10, 2022. For dinner on this day, I visited Chantika with a companion. We arrived around 5:20 PM. There were 2 groups of customers before us and 3 groups after us. We ordered: - Gapao Rice for 1050 yen - Thai-style Yakisoba for 980 yen The dishes were served in about 10 minutes. Gapao Rice had a sweet and savory flavor with seasoned meat and fried onions adding a nice touch. It had a very Asian taste that is not commonly found in Kushiro. It was delicious. The Thai-style Yakisoba had a fluffy garlic flavor with thin noodles and crunchy vegetables, which was very tasty. The egg soup was also fluffy and had a gentle flavor. It was delicious. When dining at Asian-style restaurants like this, it can be hard to decide what to order, but choosing based on menu photos was the right choice. My companion, who loves Yakisoba, really enjoyed the dish. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Chantika in Kushiro, I'm alone, but for the people of Kushiro, it's a problem. It's mainly soba restaurants. Again, today I became a problematic person. It's not my fault. You're the ones at fault for not letting me eat delicious noodles. I'll do takeout at a few places and then head home. Next is "Chanteka". In my notes, it says "Loco Moco Bowl" or "Gapao Rice". I can't decide, so I ask my wife, "Which one?" She replies, "I'm not sure, either one is fine." That's not a helpful answer. I'll call the restaurant. It's a big restaurant, I didn't know that. It started pouring rain. The parking lot is full. The interior of the restaurant is lovely. "Are you alone?" "Yes." It's 1050 yen. They gave me a drink voucher. Probably for the container fee. They also sell miscellaneous goods. It was a nice restaurant. Eating in the restaurant is probably better. The price for this content is not at all convincing. The salad is delicious. It's normal, but when I asked my wife, "How much?" I got the expected answer. "580 yen." "At a time like this (Corona), maybe 680 yen?" "Yes, that's right. It's good...it's included...1050 yen." "Huh?" My wife turned into a refrigerator. I played golf on Sunday. When I left, I woke up, but then went back to sleep. My wife told me that during golf, she had a dream of turning into a refrigerator. Well, it happens with various things. I hardly ever have dreams. My wife dreams every day. I have dreams maybe twice a year. Sometimes I have sequels in my dreams. Do you ever think about pricing? There's no way this food should cost over 1000 yen. It doesn't look like Gapao at all! It's ginger-fried basil-flavored butter mix. It's an item that pretends to be Gapao with eggs and paprika. It's a strange taste. It's not necessarily delicious, but it's ethnic. Gapao, right? This is Japanese style, isn't it? If there's a genre called Japanese-style Gapao, then I'll make a business card saying "I'm a Hollywood actress." My wife is making fun of me. The history is still short, but there are quite a few restaurants. I'm also aiming to be considered among the top in the number of takeout places. I was a little surprised by the Gapao rice.

I tried the Gapao Rice. It was different from what I expected, with lots of onions, bell peppers(?), and pork, and a sweet seasoning. It was delicious, although not quite what I had in mind. It might be closer to my expectations if I had ordered the chicken Gapao menu. If it were a bit cheaper, I would rate it higher. It would be great if they accepted credit cards.

Today was my first visit in a while, and I ordered the Meat Spaghetti for 850 yen as well as a limited-time item. The Meat Spaghetti had more volume than I expected...it really fills you up. The set menu also comes with dessert and salad, which are also quite generous in portion. I want to make sure I come back next time with a good appetite. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I had quite a bit of free time during my business trip, so I decided to explore Kushiro! "Chantika" is about a 20-minute walk from Kushiro Station. Since I didn't have a car that day, I walked there! The door was black and the interior looked dark from the outside, making it a bit intimidating to enter. I thought they might be closed due to the timing (after the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake), but luckily they were open. It's a restaurant serving international cuisine. I had originally wanted to try Thai food, but the daily special that day was a dish I had never tried before, so I ended up ordering that. It was a Filipino adobo pork stew, which was surprisingly refreshing despite looking a bit fatty due to the vinegar used. The rice had a subtle flavor and paired perfectly with the meat. The meal also came with salad, soup, and a drink, making it a well-balanced meal. Trying out a new restaurant can be nerve-wracking, but it's also fun, right? This place is mainly focused on photos, but on this day, I brought my twins for the first time. They have a smoking area, but they were kind enough to seat us in a private room with a door since we had kids. This made us feel at ease while having our meal. The twins had meat spaghetti and I had a hard time deciding, but ended up choosing the Hainan chicken rice. They also have some Western dishes on the menu, so it's suitable for kids who may hesitate with Asian cuisine. The twins enjoyed their meal and my Hainan rice was delicious. The rice had a chicken broth flavor that I really liked.
Visited a tea house. I had lemon herb tea, and my friend had black sesame latte. Both were delicious and safe choices. The atmosphere had a Thai vibe, which was calming. Although it's a cafe, they also serve regular meals, so I might try that next time. ( ̄ー ̄)

I had the curry-flavored Gabao Rice for lunch that day, and it was delicious! I couldn't forget the taste, so I went back for lunch again. I want to go back soon. The interior of the restaurant was also nice, and they were selling miscellaneous goods as well.

Today, when I couldn't think of what I wanted to eat, I decided to go to "Chantika" for the first time in about 5 months. This place offers interesting limited-time menu items. Today, I chose the "Mouthwatering Chicken" from the limited-time menu. The restaurant was crowded, so we were lucky to be seated in a private room for six people even though there were only two of us. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is exotic and relaxing, perfect for a leisurely meal. Now, let's dig into the "Mouthwatering Chicken." This Sichuan dish features tender and moist boiled chicken dipped in a spicy and flavorful sauce made with doubanjiang, chili oil, and Sichuan peppercorns. The lingering spiciness is delicious, and we had to ask for a refill of the sauce. The rice served with the dish is also incredibly tasty, cooked in chicken broth. It would be great if they offered it in a donburi bowl (laughs). I also recommend their regular menu items like "Gapao Rice" (basil-flavored stir-fried pork) and "Tom Yum Pho." For dessert, I had the "Coconut Milk Pudding," which had just the right amount of sweetness and a lovely coconut flavor. It's my favorite dessert here. Every visit to Chantika is a chance to discover new delicious flavors, so I'm looking forward to my next visit. Enjoy your meal!

I went to have lunch with my friend at Chantika, an Asian cuisine restaurant. The interior of the restaurant has an Asian theme, and they also sell various goods like clothing and accessories, which are quite affordable. I initially planned to order Nasi Goreng, but ended up changing my mind and ordered Chicken Gepao instead. However, when the dish arrived, I couldn't resist ordering Loco Moco. The dish looked beautiful and my excitement increased. Unfortunately, the hamburger was not homemade, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, the demi-glace sauce was delicious, and I didn't feel guilty eating the vegetables. I finished my meal quickly, while my friend still had half of her dish left. I always finish my food quickly. Next time, I will definitely order Chicken Gepao or Nasi Goreng.

I had been wanting to go there for a long time. Back when my husband and I were living carefree without the twins, I would occasionally stop by for lunch alone. Since returning to Kushiro with the twins, I had been hesitant to go because there is Asian cuisine and even Western dishes on the menu... After going through various things and finishing my hospital tests, I felt refreshed and decided to have a meal before heading to work! I can easily go alone, so I decided to visit. There is a parking lot in the back, which is convenient. The restaurant is spacious, with raised seating areas, so it seems suitable for families with children... However, the smoking area is a bit unclear, and the restaurant was quite smoky. The menu is more authentic than I expected, making it hard to choose. I was drawn to the pho and pad thai... I also love nasi goreng... But this time, I tried the Filipino dish adobo from the daily special lunch menu. Adobo is like marinated pork belly, spicy and tangy, similar to braised pork, served on top of fried rice infused with the cooking liquid. It was really delicious! Overall, the flavors packed a punch, but it exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. The soup served with it had baby scallops in it, with a rich scallop broth, which was also delicious. Everything was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to bring my children here. If they have pho, I think they would enjoy it too. It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

Here comes "Chantika" again. Today, I couldn't decide what to order, but then I saw they have a limited-time menu. After much deliberation, I chose the "Thai-style grilled chicken and Thai-style fried rice set" from the limited-time menu, along with a side of "Singapore chicken rice." It was still early for dinner, so there were only two other customers. I was really hungry since I missed lunch. The taste was good overall, but I made a mistake with the Thai-style grilled chicken - it had a strong fish sauce flavor, which I usually like, but not in this dish. I regret not ordering the usual "coconut milk pudding" for dessert. Despite this, I was satisfied with the side dish and will definitely come back to Chantika, one of my favorite restaurants.

I have been a regular at the Asian cafe "Chantika" for many years. I visited for lunch after a long time and ordered the lunch set. Despite the soup included in the set, I couldn't resist ordering a half-size Tom Yum Pho on the side. Today's lunch set (limited to 20 servings) was "Boiled Pork and Kimchi Bibimbap". The taste was spicy and delicious, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness in the chili sauce on top. Chantika doesn't just serve ordinary kimchi. They offer a variety of pho options, and the Tom Yum Pho I had was not too spicy, with a refreshing acidity. For dessert, I chose the Coconut Milk Pudding, one of my favorites from their extensive dessert menu. The Pisang Goreng that my companion chose is also highly recommended. The Americano coffee here is espresso-based and just the way I like it. The lunch set with a drink costs 890 yen (dessert not included). Ah, it was so delicious!

When you suddenly feel like eating Thai food, there's a place in Kushiro that you might want to visit - Chantika. It's probably the only Thai restaurant in the area. Excitedly, I entered the restaurant. Normally, when you go to a Thai restaurant, you expect to see dishes like Yam Wun Sen and Pad Thai on the menu. However, I couldn't find them anywhere on the menu. I finally found something that looked like Pad Thai - Thai-style yakisoba. It came with shrimp, salad, and soup for 950 yen. I ordered it, but when the dish arrived, it was not what I expected. The noodles were not the usual rice noodles, and the dish was missing ingredients like tofu, pickled radish, and coriander. The flavor was also different, lacking the sweet and savory taste of Pad Thai. Despite the disappointment, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere with many female customers. Overall, it was a decent meal, but it didn't quite hit the spot for my Thai food craving.
