Visited for dinner. I was in Iwanai Town for work. This place caught my eye. Ordered a draft Asahi Super Dry, boiled green peas, grilled white liver skewers, and fried potatoes. The boiled green peas were delicious and went well with the alcohol. The grilled white liver was also tasty and a great snack. Added on thick-cut pork tongue, steamed clams in sake, and fish skewers. The clams were delicious, and it's been a while since I've had steamed clams. Also ordered a "donja" rice ball as a souvenir. All the dishes were delicious, so I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Finally managed to get inーー\(˙꒳˙ )/ Even though it opened about a year ago, I always couldn't get in ( ๑´•ω•) Managed to come by making a reservation the day before!! On this day, I'm with my aunt, a local drinker. This place used to be called Zou Shunkashuutou. It was run by relatives, but it seems they had to move out due to equipment failure. The place has been renovated and it looks like the person who used to work at Morezadining has opened a new place ( ´ω` )/ The face on the business card is exactly the same as hers (laughs) It's popular in Iwanai and the menu looks delicious and everything is so cheap (๑ ˙˘˙)/ The drink selection is also extensive!! There's also a second floor, so you can have parties with around 20-30 people! The first floor has a counter with 6 seats and a raised seating area with 3 seats. Next door, there was a party of 8 people!! They had hot pot, grilled shrimp, and grilled clams, and it looked delicious. Iwanai is really rural and has a small population, but surprisingly, there are quite a few drinking establishments, which is surprising. There are also quite a few sushi restaurants (laughs) The grilled dishes are recommended, so I ordered hormone and liver. The shrimp and squid also looked delicious (*´Д`*) That day, they had recommendations on the board, including what they had purchased!! Grilling a little here and there by yourself is niceーThe liver was so tender and delicious, and the miso hormone goes well with alcohol!! The very popular beef tendon stew. Lots of green onions (laughs) It's very voluminousーlots of ingredients and well seasoned⸜(* ॑ ॑* )⸝ Asparagus bacon, my favorite dishー!! I always order it when I see it (ﾉ´³`)ﾉ♡ The asparagus wasn't properly prepared, the skin was tough and hard to chew ( ๑´•ω•) Fried squid legs. A perfect match for beer (laughs) It's delicious as expected (ˊᗜˋ๑) There are too many other menu items that catch my eye···I have to come here every time I visit home!! On the first day of the trip to Iwanai, the main event was a drinking party with a senior colleague from work. We ended up at the 11th place of the day, "Taishu Sakaba Uosan." When I mentioned to my senior colleague at work that I was going to Iwanai, he asked if there was a specific place I wanted to go to. I jokingly said I wanted to go to a cabaret club, but he informed me that there were no cabaret clubs in Iwanai. So, he chose the restaurant for us to visit. However, I actually wanted to go to a place called Tochiyama, which had been reviewed by a popular food blogger. But I couldn't bring it up in front of my senior colleague, who had been living in Iwanai for almost three years. The restaurant he chose was "Taishu Sakaba Uosan." After a night of drinking and chatting, when I got back to the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten the name of the restaurant. I asked my senior colleague through social media, but then I couldn't find the restaurant listed on food review websites. Eventually, I found a review by the blogger I mentioned earlier, which saved the day. We had dishes like tamagoyaki, stir-fried squid with garlic sprouts, grilled squid, grilled clams, and meat, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

I enjoyed both fish and meat dishes at a workplace drinking party! There were several appetizers in the pot... the deep-fried burdock was particularly stylish. We also had Samgyeopsal cooked in a special pot! There was cheese too. It was incredibly delicious. The prices were reasonable, and it was clear that the chef really loves delicious food! This is the best izakaya in Iwanai.
