Today, I went to lunch with my senior colleague, I. We happened to pass by a restaurant with a big sign that caught my eye - "Charcoal-grilled Chicken Curry". I remembered that I wanted to try it. I ordered the curry while I chose a beef bowl. The restaurant was relatively empty, and we ordered using a tablet at a table in the back. I chose the large size thinking the regular portion might be too small. It cost ¥830 including tax. The food arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The large portion was bigger than I expected! It was so hot that I couldn't even touch the plate. I wondered if they heated it up in the microwave. The curry was very hot, and I had to cool it down before eating. The chicken was very tender and easy to eat with just a spoon. The taste was good, similar to the chicken in soup curry. I finished eating much later than my colleague, I, as I was preoccupied with how hot the food was. I found it interesting how restaurants in Hokkaido serve such hot food.

I embarrassingly didn't know this, but there is a low-carb menu at the gyudon restaurant. It's called Gyudon Light. Instead of white rice, it has tofu and vegetables laid out. It's so delicious. It's no problem for me since I already avoid rice. I enjoyed it with plenty of pickled ginger. Thank you for the meal.

During the New Year's holiday, it can be difficult to find restaurants open for lunch in Sapporo. However, I decided to visit a place that was open and ended up at a chicken curry restaurant. The restaurant had a mix of counter and booth seating, with partitions for social distancing. I ordered the "Tender Chicken Curry" in a mini size, which looked delicious when it arrived. The chicken was soft and easy to eat with a spoon, and the curry had a mild flavor. However, the rice was a bit mushy and the curry sauce was runny. Overall, the dish was tasty, but not exceptional. I couldn't help but think that the curry sauce tasted similar to the one served at a buffet restaurant. In the end, I enjoyed the meal, but it didn't quite live up to the hype.

I had the opportunity to stop by after a long time and visited Sukiya. It was a slightly early lunch. I saw the limited-time menu item, the Spicy Beef Hot Pot, and felt like having something warm, so I ordered the beef spicy hot pot dish. When ordering it as a single item, it does not come with rice, green onions, or a hot spring egg. The hot pot contained not only beef but also udon noodles and vegetables, and it was quite filling. Honestly, this amount was satisfying for me. The beef itself was substantial, so it didn't feel like they were just adding extra ingredients to make it seem like more. I enjoyed it while it was hot and steamy. Personally, I wish they had served it when it was boiling and bubbling. It took a while for the pot to boil after adding the fuel, which was a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, thank you for the delicious meal.

I came to a Sukiya near the 14th stop on the Denen-toshi Line. In the morning, this area is completely empty... (≧∇≦) It seems like the only option for breakfast around here is a chain beef bowl restaurant, haha. Surprisingly, there are quite a few customers, with about 70% of the seats filled. I ordered a medium beef bowl for 480 yen, which comes with 40% more meat. The amount of meat is so generous that you can't even see the rice underneath! I topped it with plenty of pickled ginger and sprinkled some shichimi pepper on top. With this much meat, you won't just be eating rice, so you can really savor the beef bowl. It's a bit spicier than Yoshinoya, but not as beefy as Matsuya, making it easy to eat. While the toppings are nice, the basic beef bowl is still delicious! Now, I feel like having some soup, maybe ramen next time. Thanks for the meal! ^_^

Recently, for early breakfast, I've been having breakfast at Sukiya. They offer 6 types of morning sets:
- Gyudon Morning Set for 500 yen
- Salmon Topping Breakfast for 390 yen
- Mixed Rice Topping Breakfast for 350 yen
- Natto Breakfast for 330 yen
- Tamakake Breakfast for 250 yen
- Coarse-ground Sausage Breakfast for 400 yen
My favorite is the Coarse-ground Sausage Breakfast. Today, I ordered a small size instead of regular, so it was 400 yen reduced to 370 yen. I placed my order using the touch panel. The Coarse-ground Sausage set comes with 2 sausages, salad, raw egg, and miso soup. I like the cheap taste of the Coarse-ground Sausage with sweet sauce. I eat half of the rice with egg and the other half with sausage. The miso soup has fried tofu and seaweed. The salad includes cabbage, broccoli, and corn. Payment is done at the self-checkout. I was rejected by the shop I wanted to go to and ended up at Sukiya because I was starving. I had the Gyudon lunch set (mini) for 440 yen, which has a reliable taste. It's cheap and delicious. The mini Gyudon is about the size of a regular rice bowl, and it comes with miso soup, salad, and a raw egg, so it's a very good value lunch. It's better for nutrition balance compared to just ordering the Gyudon alone. I went for the mini size this time to save money, but even the regular size is 500 yen and the large size is 600 yen, which I think is very cost-effective!

Visited here in April 2020 while wandering around this area for some errands. Almost became a lunch refugee, so ended up here. It's a chain restaurant, so I don't really have much to say, but I feel like I should write something (laughs). Don't want to deal with any hassle, you know (sweat). I had a regular size beef bowl with extra meat and a raw egg on top. This way, when I finish half of the rice, even if the meat runs out, the raw egg saves the day ( *´艸`) Of course, I make it extra saucy too.

I have been to other Sukiya restaurants before, but this one also has a drive-thru. However, we ended up eating inside the restaurant, so we didn't use it. They had electrolyzed water disinfectant at the entrance, not alcohol. I'm not sure if it's effective, but let's use what's available. It's nice that you can get a slightly cheaper meal with a lunch set. The taste is consistent as always. I might consider using the drive-thru next time.

Welcome.---------- July 2019 ----------A 24-hour beef bowl restaurant located along the South 13 West 15 streetcar line. Every store has heavy doors, right? (Someone should agree with me)The restaurant has an L-shaped counter and many tables. It seems crowded during the daytime with people from nearby businesses. They serve breakfast sets to late-night meals. During a certain period, they offer "eel bowl, eel on rice, and soda frappe." In the afternoon, they have a two-staff operation. I wish the staff working at the drive-thru and inside had more knowledge and efficiency. I had a cold tea and drank it all in one go, then asked for a refill. I ordered the large beef bowl for 480 yen. I'm not a fan of red pickled ginger, but it adds a nice touch and looks good. The meat and rice were both in large portions. The finely simmered diced and sliced beef had a rich flavor and the fatty parts were refreshing. The onions were soft and the shichimi spice was crucial. The rich and sweet simmered sauce soaked into the rice, making it irresistible. I tend to eat the rice first, so I always end up with leftover meat. Maybe I should try ordering the "extra rice with sauce beef bowl" next time (but I can only eat it during my work break). It seems like everyone does this at every beef bowl restaurant or diner.

I was surprised to realize how often I go to fast food restaurants in a month. A few years ago, I never used to go, but now I find myself going quite frequently. Among all the options, my favorite breakfast is the mixed rice bowl from Sukiya. For just 350 yen, you get a regular-sized bowl of rice, miso soup, a small beef dish, raw egg with soy sauce, okra, seasoned egg, and bonito flakes. It's a great deal and I will definitely be visiting once a month. Thank you for the meal!

I tried it for the first time and it was delicious! The crispy vegetables go well with beef bowl. I felt like I needed more vegetables, so I ordered it and it was the right choice! I can easily eat vegetables this way! But I didn't see anyone else eating it around me.
