I went out for a meal on the weekend and decided to have sushi. I went to Sushi Hidezou in Ura-Namba. They offer authentic sushi at reasonable prices. I ordered a highball and a plain chu-hi to drink. Cheers! I started with a sashimi platter with 5 types of fish: bluefin tuna, amberjack, whelk, bonito, and red sea bream with green onions. The sashimi was beautifully presented and delicious, especially the bluefin tuna. I also enjoyed some sake with my meal. The next dish I ordered was squid and sea urchin with seaweed. The combination was excellent. I then had grilled red sea cucumber, which was flavorful and satisfying. I paired it with a summer sake called Fumotoi Junmai. Next, I ordered sushi rolls with fatty tuna and pickled radish, which I always enjoy. I also had various nigiri sushi like egg, medium-fatty tuna, golden eye snapper, eel, ark shell, shrimp, and salmon roe. Lastly, I had a comforting red miso soup with egg. Overall, the fish dishes and sushi were all delicious. I would love to come back for more tasty sushi in the future!

I made a reservation as usual and visited the restaurant. It's always crowded, and it's often difficult to get in without a reservation. I started with a bottle of beer. For appetizers, I ordered bonito and hokkigai. The bonito today had a good amount of fat and was delicious. The hokkigai was also tasty. It's a shame that there's hardly any ark shell available this season, but I hope to have it again in the fall. Next, I had a highball. For another dish, I ordered conger eel. Then I had sushi. Since I wasn't very hungry this time, I ordered a small portion which included conger eel, eel, medium fatty tuna, and kampyo maki. Kampyo maki is a favorite of mine, but I don't often have the chance to eat it, so I decided to try it this time. It was delicious.

We made a reservation the day before and visited with two people. The restaurant was full again. Only the seats for the two of us were available. We started with bottled beer as usual. We ordered tuna sashimi first. We asked for half of lean tuna and half of medium fatty tuna, as usual. The tuna today didn't have much fat and lacked the umami flavor of the lean cut. It was tastier last time. Next was bonito, which tasted as usual. We also added simmered conger eel after that. We poured enough sauce on it to enjoy the sweetness. After that, we had some sushi, but we weren't very hungry this time, so we ordered just a little. The salmon roe was delicious and enjoyable.

During the Obon holiday, my wife and I went to this popular restaurant we had heard about. We made a reservation for 5:00 PM and tried a variety of dishes, but the sushi was the best. It was like Edomae style, with the chef adding the seasoning. I highly recommend the Ikau Ni! It's slightly seared squid topped with sea urchin, and more sea urchin on top of that. And also shrimp! The pieces are large and cut in half for easy eating. The homemade karasumi was also delicious. While everyone recommends the torotaku roll, I personally found the tekka maki to be more delicious. It was quite crowded, so even after the pandemic, I was a bit cautious, but I recommend you try it too. You won't be disappointed.

The third stop for our three-day Bon holiday drinking party is this restaurant. We originally planned to go to "Uoya Hidezou" but it was full. So, we found this nearby restaurant that none of us knew about. From the outside, it looked like there were empty seats! Luckily, we were able to get in without a reservation. It turns out, Hidezou-san's restaurant opens at 5 pm, but today they opened early, allowing us to slip in smoothly. This restaurant, which I also had no prior knowledge of, seems to be popular due to its atmosphere and affiliation with Hidezou-san. I was able to easily enter during the Bon rush. I haven't finished my ladder drink yet, so I couldn't order much, but looking at the menu makes you want to order various items. Each of us ordered different things, and what I ordered was Toro Taku, Ika Uni, Kanpyo Maki, Namayuba Zuke, and nigiri sushi. The attention to detail is evident in each piece. We started with freshly squeezed Yuzu Shochu Highball. Both the Toro Taku and Ika Uni were not only delicious but also visually stunning. These two dishes were a delight to eat. Once again, I was amazed at how easily we were able to enter such a renowned restaurant. Sake is a must, and we tried the "Three Stars of Shiga" which had a refined and soft taste that paired perfectly with the sushi. The selection of sake at the restaurant also shows their good taste. The Namayuba Zuke was also incredibly delicious. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again and take my time to savor the flavors. One of my companions ordered the grilled Hatamugi, which looked delicious... I didn't eat it though (laughs). I am grateful to the god of feasts for allowing us to enter this restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal. I really want to revisit this place soon. It looks like the days of partying in Minami are back (laughs).

I initially went to "#Fishmonger Hidezo Namba Store," but it was super crowded and I couldn't get in. Around 16:20, I was able to enter the early opening of Sushi Hideozou, which opens at 17:00, and I was lucky. The sake and food were delicious! However, I was already full, so I couldn't order much. As more customers started coming in and the place was almost full, I decided to leave on my own since I wasn't contributing to the sales, and headed to the fourth stop on my drinking journey. Sometimes it may take a little time for the food to come out, but the preparation of seafood like abalone is perfect, and everything is delicious. It goes great with Japanese sake. The photo shows abalone and green onions as a finishing touch. Please note that payment is cash only. Be careful!

We visited as usual with two people. We started with beer, of course. For our appetizers, we ordered bonito sashimi and surf clams. The bonito had just the right amount of fat and was delicious. The surf clams were sweet and allowed us to fully enjoy the flavor of the clams. We decided to add one more dish, tuna. We asked for half lean and half medium fatty tuna. The lean tuna had a decent flavor, while the medium fatty tuna lacked a bit in fat content. Next, we had sushi. We started with skin. The eel sushi was soft and incredibly delicious. Lastly, as always, we ordered a negitoro roll. It was delicious as well this time.

I also visited for the second time! The swordfish and blackthroat seaperch were delicious with a nice fatty taste! The salmon roe was also bursting with flavor and delicious. It seems that there are five Hideozo restaurants on the street, so if this one is full, you might be able to try another branch!

It's been almost a year and a half since my last visit. As usual, we made a reservation and visited with two people. We sat at the counter and started with beer. For snacks, we ordered bonito tataki and conger eel. (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of these two dishes.) Especially the conger eel was delicious with a rich flavor. We also ordered my favorite dish, kohada. The kohada during this season doesn't have much fat, but that's unavoidable. After that, we had sushi. Starting with medium fatty tuna, we also had scallops, Ishigaki clam, eel, and yellowtail. We added a roll with pickled radish and a roll with green onion and fatty tuna. It was all delicious.

I go here at least once a month, Hideozo. It feels like it gets really crowded on Saturday nights from 7 pm! The menu has changed since half a month ago. I want to eat the simmered bay scallops and the red king crab again! The egg sushi is my favorite. Everything is really delicious.

Had a drink and food tour in Minami with my loved one♪ The 7th stop was at the popular "Hidezou Group" sushi restaurant in Osaka, Hidezou. We made a reservation just in case because it's always crowded. We entered as soon as they opened, and chose to sit at the counter. We started with the Chutoro and Otoro which were delicious and had a good amount of meat. The fat melted in our mouths. The Tsubugai (whelk) was also very tasty. We even ordered Tsubugai sashimi as a sake accompaniment. It was nice to be able to try a variety of dishes in small portions. The freshness was great and the prices ranged from 150 yen to 680 yen (for rolls). It's no wonder it's so popular. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

This is my third visit. It gets crowded during dinner time, but surprisingly I was able to get a table when I visited at 5 pm right after opening. ----- Taste impressions ----- I often order the child-carrying kombu. They provide a chef's choice of 5 pieces of sushi each, but they keep serving them so quickly that I couldn't keep up, often ending up taking pictures while waiting to eat... It's better than being slow, but it made me feel rushed, which I'm not a fan of. However, the taste is delicious, so it's okay. We also ordered Wagyu beef tartare, which was delicious. When you eat seafood all the time, you start to crave something like this. Also, the ikura roll my partner ordered instead of torotaku was delicious. This style of ikura is also great. ------------------- It seemed like they were really busy with customers coming in and the phone ringing constantly. Many customers were being turned away. I realized once again that it's best to make a reservation if you can't come right after opening. Thank you as always. It was delicious!

I had a hard time finding a restaurant in Namba. The nearby fish market, Hidezou Namba store, was crowded so I couldn't get in, but luckily I found this place. I started with a toast with "Akahoshi" sake. The sashimi was beautifully presented and delicious. The grilled fish head was also tasty, and I finished with some sushi. It was all very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I want to eat sushi in Namba, so I made a reservation at Hidezo-san and visited. They only had counter seats, even though there were table seats in the photos on Tabelog. The restaurant was packed and customers kept coming in as soon as someone finished eating. It seems to be quite popular. The cost performance is really good. I think it was around 8000 yen for two people. We started with a sashimi platter, miso-marinated gindara, and grilled squid legs, then had various sushi. The quality is not very high, but it's good for eating sushi cheaply. The sushi toppings were average. There is a wide variety of a la carte menu items, so it is easy for those who want to drink with some snacks. I guess this type of restaurant is becoming popular. It's great for those who are okay with a lively atmosphere. I prefer quieter restaurants...

The sushi restaurant in the back streets of Namba area is always crowded even on weekdays, so it's better to make a reservation! They offer a variety of side dishes and grilled fish in addition to sushi, which is nice. They also have some good quality sake. In the back streets of Namba, there is a popular restaurant called "Sushi Hidezou" with great value and delicious food. I was taken there by a friend for the first time. The interior of the restaurant felt a bit cramped at the counter, but that didn't matter. What I want to introduce is the "Grilled Salmon Collar." I have had it many times before, but the one here is exceptional. The salmon is rare and the skin is crispy. I still remember how impressed I was. It goes perfectly with beer. Both the dishes and the sushi were satisfying, and the value for money was just right. I highly recommend going with someone special.

I went to the store while looking at Google Maps, and I was a little surprised to find multiple branches of the same group "Hidezou" around this store. It was 9:00 pm on a weekend, and the store was almost full, with a lively atmosphere. The distance between seats is narrow, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation and not ideal for lingering. The sushi assortment of 5 types was around ¥1200, and the steamed clams were ¥780. You can order multiple pieces of sushi individually, and two chefs will make them in front of you. The prices are set low and the turnover is quick. Even if you haven't finished eating, the next piece is served promptly by the chefs. The sushi-making skills are average, but there is no fishy smell, and the freshness is good. Some of the pieces were delicious depending on the topping. It's a great place to quickly enjoy fresh fish at this price range. It's more suitable for going with friends rather than a date.

I didn't expect to come back in two weeks. My impression is mostly the same as the first time, so I will focus on the items I didn't eat last time. I ordered the Konbu with child, assorted sashimi, five kinds of pickles, grilled squid with salt and pepper, and grilled squid with soy sauce. As for the taste, if it's not delicious, I wouldn't come back in two weeks, that's all I can say. But it's still delicious. Among the items I ordered this time, I particularly liked the squid with sea urchin. The combination of the squid's chewiness and the sea urchin is amazing! I would definitely order it again next time. The squid with salt and pepper also has a strong flavor and is delicious. It has a good texture and goes well with alcohol. As always, it's difficult to get a table during dinner time, so if you don't have a reservation, it's best to come right after opening. Also, we were seated at the back of the restaurant, and a man sitting at the very back had trouble with the PayPay payment because the signal didn't reach there. Depending on where you are seated, it might be a bit inconvenient. Thank you as always. It was a great meal!

I finally had the chance to visit a sushi restaurant that I had been eyeing for a while. The restaurant opened at 5:00 PM, and I arrived around 5:15 PM and was seated towards the back, which was lucky. I started with a bottle of Super Dry beer and took a sip. Then I ordered a sashimi platter with 5 different types of fish and waited for it to arrive. More and more customers with reservations were coming in. The sashimi platter arrived in about 5 minutes, beautifully arranged and shining. And all of this for only 980 yen, what a deal! After the Super Dry, I ordered a Black Kirishima shochu with soda. Once I finished the sashimi, I had the sushi chef prepare some nigiri sushi for me. I started with akami (lean tuna), akagai (ark shell), aoriika (bigfin reef squid), and torotaku (fatty tuna and pickled radish roll). The torotaku roll arrived first, and it was delicious. The nori flavor was good, and it disappeared quickly. Then the akami, akagai, and aoriika arrived. The size of the rice was just right, making it easy to eat. The akagai is one of my favorite sushi toppings, with a wonderful taste of the sea. The aoriika was served with salt on top, so I ate it as is, and it was flavorful and had a great texture. For the second round, I ordered abalone, chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and shrimp. The abalone was small but had great flavor and texture. The chutoro had a refined fattiness that was delightful. I also love steamed shrimp, and this one was big and tasty, without any unpleasant smell. I wanted to try uni, yellowtail, and salmon roe, but I had another place to go after this, so I had to stop here. I was very satisfied. I noticed a one-liter bottle of sake and a daikon radish in the fridge in front of me and couldn't help but smile. It's a welcoming place, even for solo diners. I had two bottle beers, two Black Kirishima shochu with soda, the dishes mentioned above, and sushi, and the total came to around 6,000 yen, which is not bad in terms of cost performance. I wished the new guy working in front of me good luck and left. I'll make sure to make a reservation for my next visit. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Around 5:00 PM, when I passed by, there was only one group with a customer already seated at the back, but it seemed like I could be seated quickly, so I decided to stop by on a whim. I vaguely remember ordering the omakase nigiri set, 5 kinds of live oysters with ponzu sauce, and kombu seaweed. After the omakase nigiri set arrived, I added additional items such as firefly squid, blackthroat sea perch, and seared fatty tuna. As for the taste, it was delicious as others have mentioned. It's understandable why it's popular. The variety of the menu is also a nice point. I can't think of any other feedback about the taste, so I'll give up and talk about other things. I was silently eating the nigiri sushi that was prepared in front of me, but a nearby customer ordered a jade soda, and the female staff member relayed the order to the chef, saying, "I can't hear you, you have to speak louder." It was a light scolding that started, and I thought to myself (it's good to address it right away, but I wish they would do it behind the scenes because it makes the food less enjoyable when you can hear it). As I was eating, the man who received the jade soda afterwards said, "I'm sorry for just getting the jade soda," and tried to lighten the mood with a dad joke, but the female staff member was genuinely laughing, which was a bit amusing, so it turned out okay in the end. The location is good, and considering the taste and cost performance, it's understandable why it's a popular restaurant! It might be difficult to get in without a reservation, so if you don't have one, it's better to come early. Thank you as always. It was a feast!
