I had some business to attend to in Sakaisuji-Honmachi after a long time, and since it was around lunchtime, I decided to revisit this restaurant. It was around 11:30 am, but once again, the popular pickled fish bowl set was sold out. I'm not sure if it sells out right at the opening at 11 am, or if they just don't make it, but it's definitely a popular item as it's on the menu. So, as usual, I ordered the famous Chinese soba noodles on their own. Even with the large size, the price remains at 780 yen, so it's a good deal. I chose the flat noodles. As expected, the highlight of this restaurant is the noodles. They are cooked to perfection, giving a satisfying chewy texture for about 3 minutes after arrival, so it's best to slurp them up quickly. The chashu pork also has a rare beef-like rawness to it, releasing a juicy flavor when you bite into it. The seasoned egg and bamboo shoots are consistently delicious as well. The soup is not too rich or too light, but rather a strong soy sauce-based flavor that is not cloudy. I once again realized that this place is a unique and exceptional restaurant with a taste that sets it apart from others.

I revisited the Michelin-starred ramen shop where I had the amazing Chinese noodles last time. I arrived around 12:30 PM and luckily there was a seat available for me. It's a ticket system here! This time, I tried the soupless Hirauchi noodles. It cost 900 yen! The noodles were served to me within 10 minutes. The mixed noodles were topped with plenty of bonito fish powder. I quickly mixed it all together and took a sip... Just as it looks, the broth had a prominent seafood flavor with a sweet soy sauce base that left a smooth aftertaste. The bonito fish powder added a nice touch of seafood aroma after each sip. The noodles were thin and flat, with a satisfying firmness and chewiness, and a rich wheat flavor that complemented the bonito fish powder well. The prime pork chashu was juicy and flavorful, enhanced by the broth. The crispy onions added a nice contrast of spiciness and sweetness. Squeezing some sudachi lime over it added a refreshing acidity and aroma. The bamboo shoots were soft and soaked up the delicious broth. However, maybe because the Chinese noodles were too good, the mixed noodles ended up being surprisingly ordinary. Delicious!

Arrived before 12:00 on Saturday. 4 people were waiting. The turnover was good, and we were able to be seated in about 10 minutes. After me, there were about 4 people waiting as well. The ticket machine is inside the restaurant. There are about 5 counter seats and 2-person tables. Surprisingly, there is a sense that there are plenty of seats. The interior of the restaurant was new and clean. The counter seats are separated by acrylic boards with menus in between. I ordered the famous Chinese noodles. I chose flat noodles. It comes with seasoned egg, low-temperature cooked roast pork, large menma, and seaweed. The soy sauce-based soup looks a bit rich in appearance. When you take a sip, it's not too rich, and you can taste the rich broth. The noodles are made from whole wheat flour and have a fragrant taste. The staff will bring out the green Japanese pepper from the refrigerator if you ask. The color is bright green, and the flavor is amazing! It seems like they keep it in the refrigerator to preserve the flavor, so it won't come out unless you ask. As a fan of Japanese pepper, I put plenty on it. It was delicious. I had never seen such a vivid green Japanese pepper before, so I was a little moved. And all this for 780 yen! Nowadays, other restaurants would charge around 1000 yen for this quality. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I would like to try the round noodles.

The soup was light and smooth, yet it had a rich umami flavor and was very delicious ♡ The noodles were quite firm, providing a satisfying chewiness. I heard there was sansho pepper for seasoning, but I only noticed it under the water pitcher after finishing the meal (laughs).

I felt like having ramen for lunch, so I came to this restaurant. I ordered soy sauce ramen and bonito rice. The soup was light and made with fish broth, the noodles were thick, and there was a large slice of chashu. The soup was delicious. The bonito rice had plenty of powdered bonito and green onions, and I enjoyed it with soy sauce. The rice was a bit soft, and I prefer bonito flakes that are more crispy. Thank you for the meal!

As soon as you pass through the exit 2 ticket gate of Sakaisuji Hommachi on the Chuo Line, there is a shop on the left hand side! Since it's an underground mall, it's not hot even in the summer! Around 14:00 on Saturdays, you can enter without waiting in line. The interior of the shop is surprisingly spacious! This time I had the chilled yuzu Chinese noodles! It was refreshing and very delicious ^^ I would like to go again to try other menu items.

This ramen shop in the food street underground in Sakaisuji Hommachi has also been selected as a Bib Gourmand. Nearby, there is also Kyuen, which was also chosen as a Bib Gourmand. I arrived around 2 pm and although there were a few people inside, I was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the Chuka Soba with flat noodles for 780 yen using the touch panel ticket machine. The soup had a perfect balance of flavors with a prominent umami taste of seafood and kelp, supported by chicken and soy sauce, giving it a unique blend similar to the broth of udon or soba noodles. The noodles had a firm texture with a strong bite, and the toppings like the chashu and soft-boiled egg were delicious with a rich flavor. Adding powdered sansho pepper brought a nice touch of numbing spiciness. Overall, it was a very satisfying bowl of ramen.

I visited a highly rated ramen restaurant in Sakaisuji Hommachi. However, when I found the restaurant, the shutter was down with a sign saying, "Closed today due to illness." It's understandable with this heat and the resurgence of COVID-19. I guess it wasn't meant to be. But there are two popular restaurants in Sakaisuji Hommachi Station, Senba Center Building 3, so I decided to go there instead. I had trouble finding Ramen KB, even after circling the underground food court three times. Should I give up on ramen and go for fried rice or champon? No, I must stay true to my initial desire for ramen. My taste buds are craving it. I'm getting tired from all this walking. Let's try going the opposite way from track and field and, lo and behold, I found it right away. It's no wonder it was hard to find. The sign said, "Under renovation. Will reopen soon." Oh no, another closed restaurant. This day is not going well! But I won't give up. Menya Sobafactory is open. I chose it as my third option because the soy sauce looked rich in the photos on Tabelog. There's a wait of four people, but I've already been walking around for over an hour and I'm starving. They have summer menu items - cold yuzu soba and cold plum soba. Both don't seem to have a strong soy sauce flavor. Alright, I bought a ticket for the yuzu soba and waited for 10 minutes. I asked for extra noodles for free. The refreshing scent of the cold soup is nice. It has a Japanese flavor. The noodles are delicious too. This restaurant is a hit. I'm glad I stuck to my initial desire for ramen. The effort paid off. Halfway through, I added plenty of black pepper for a change in flavor. It goes well too. Then, the woman next to me said, "Excuse me, can I have some sansho pepper?" What, you can change the flavor like that too? I looked around and saw a sign at the counter saying, "Sansho pepper is stored in the refrigerator to preserve its aroma. Please ask for it when you want to use it." Today is the day of closed signs one after another! I'll try it next time. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a restaurant around 2 pm on a regular day and bought a meal ticket. The interior had a clean and cozy atmosphere with 10 counter seats and about 8 table seats. I ordered a Chinese ramen. The soup is made with 7 types of dashi, including kombu, grilled conger eel, chicken broth, and soy sauce. I chose round noodles, which were handmade in the restaurant's noodle room using whole wheat flour for a chewy texture. The toppings included chashu pork, egg, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and green onions. The chashu pork was cooked in a vacuum-sealed bag with a flavorful dashi broth. It was a delicious meal!

I visited during lunchtime. The restaurant is located right next to the ticket gate of Sakaisuji-Honmachi subway station. When I arrived, there were several groups lined up in front of the shop. The interior of the shop is quite spacious, so I didn't have to wait too long. You can enjoy ramen that is made with a focus on the broth.

This summer in 2023, with the hot days continuing, I have been feeling a bit of summer fatigue and sometimes lack of appetite. On such days, the "Chilled Ume Soba" for 950 yen at "Honmachi Seimenjo" is perfect. *Same price for a large serving. The soup is ice-cold and the noodles are rinsed with cold water. The soup is made by a bonito flakes wholesaler, known for its deep flavor, and the noodles are thin and go well with the soup. It comes with a large piece of lightly cooked chashu pork, a whole seasoned egg, sliced raw onions, and shiso leaves as accents. In the center, there is a large "umeboshi" plum, said to be effective for fatigue. You can choose to mix it into the soup or eat it as is. I think this is a must-try dish this summer.

Mazesoba flat noodles for 900 yen. The noodles seem to be the main selling point, but I didn't really notice anything special when eating mazesoba. The onions were too big and overpowering. The soup was delicious, and it was nice to be able to change the flavor with vinegar and citrus. I was able to get in without waiting on a Saturday around 11 am. It's convenient that it's located in a building.

I accidentally entered the wrong shop. However, I am very satisfied with the delicious food. When I asked for the noodles to be firm, they said they were medium thickness but it was okay. This time I asked for normal firmness, but upon further thought, if they are medium thickness, they can easily be enjoyed firm. Next time, I will ask for them to be firm.

Saturday visit, arrived at 15:08 with no wait. Purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine and arrived at 15:32. Received my bowl at 15:42 and left. The dish I had was the tax-included limited summer item, Cold Plum Soba for ¥950 with free extra noodles. The restaurant description highlighted the deliciousness of the natural broth in the cold Chinese soba. It is said to be effective for recovering from fatigue necessary to survive the intense heat, with plenty of citric acid from "plums." Enjoy a cold Chinese soba with plums. Also had the Prime Pork Rice for ¥450. The only downside was the long wait time from seating to receiving the food. Chinese Soba Workshop - Let's fill our bellies! 🍜👊

Good morning! I'm @zukasama.maria, a salaryman who wants to indulge in luxury✨ I finally had the chance to visit Honmachi Seimenjyo, a Chinese noodle workshop located in Center Building B2 in Honmachi✨ After a meeting at Izumi Curry Sakurazuka Honten, which opens on the 18th, I had lunch with the founder of Izumi Curry✨ The udon section of Honmachi Seimenjyo was really crowded and it was hot, so I decided to go for the cooler option with no wait time before lunch. Luckily, I ordered the Prime Hiramen Chinese noodles☺️ The large serving of noodles was free, which was a nice surprise✨ The overall quality of the Chinese noodles was high, made with a white chicken broth and additive-free raw soy sauce‼️ It had a rich flavor from various types of bonito flakes and Rishiri kelp, creating a delicious soup. The soup was so tasty and the noodles were also delicious, so there were no complaints. The rare chashu and soft-boiled egg were also incredibly delicious, making it a truly perfected Chinese noodle dish. It was really delicious, thank you for the meal. Thank you for always liking and commenting. I would be happy if you could follow me✨

The light yet flavorful soup was delicious, and the homemade noodles had a nice chewiness and elasticity, providing a satisfying meal! Adding the provided condiments (sansho pepper & black pepper) enhanced the depth of flavor, and they paired perfectly with the soup! *You can ask the staff for sansho pepper if it's not already on the table.

This year, I ordered the cold yuzu soba, perfect for the cold season. The soup is made with seafood broth and has a refreshing taste of yuzu. The noodles are flat and chewy, with a perfect texture. Personally, I think the noodles are the star of the dish! It's no surprise that this restaurant is a regular in the Bib Gourmand list for udon shops. The quality of the noodles is amazing. Thank you for the delicious meal!

When I had some free time while out, I couldn't resist stopping by this place. I ordered the famous Chuka soba ramen, which was priced at a reasonable 780 yen. They offer free extra noodles, which is a great deal for noodle lovers! The broth was rich and flavorful with a soy sauce base. It felt like they put a lot of effort into making the broth. It was delicious. You can choose between two types of noodles, flat or round, and I chose the round noodles this time. They were my favorite kind, chewy and smooth. The ramen also came with a boiled egg, which was a nice touch. The toppings were perfect.

This is a beautiful restaurant that even appears in Big Guruman! A must-visit for those who like light ramen! The broth is made from fish and shellfish, with the flavor of green onions and yuzu, making it a ramen that you'll want to drink every last drop of! The katsuobushi rice bowl has katsuobushi broth at the bottom, and when you mix it up and add more broth, it's amazing! If you happen to pass by, be sure to give it a try! (๑>◡<๑)

Today, I visited Honmachi Seimenjo Nakahara Sobakobo in Sakaisuji Honmachi. The taste was great, but the customer service was amazing. The Chinese soba was light, but the umami of the broth was incredible. I chose flat noodles, which paired perfectly with the broth. The sardine bowl was also incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!
