I learned about this from kimumiyu's post. The restaurant that opened last October and closed after just 5 months, has now reopened as the successor to the old Ichiba Shokudo Chitose. The new restaurant, named Ichiba Shokudo Chitose, is located inside the market. The unique feature of this new operation is that it houses not just one, but two restaurants. One of them is the revival of Enya, which closed in June last year. I had tried to visit Enya on its final weekend before closing, but the long line made me give up. So, I waited for things to settle down before finally visiting the new establishment. When I visited on a Thursday at around 1:00pm, it wasn't too crowded, and not everyone was having ramen, so it was relatively calm. They offer three types of ramen, but unfortunately, they didn't have the Original Ramen, which is a blend of salt and soy sauce that I like. I ended up ordering the salt ramen. The restaurant only has table seating, and although all tables were occupied, I asked to share a table with a man dining alone. I was given a pink plastic tag, and when my number was called, I went to pick up my order. The appearance of the salt ramen was just like it was during the Enya era. When I took the first sip of the soup, I thought, "Oh, this is exactly the taste of Enya!" The clear salt broth is a flavor I enjoy. The noodles were white and chewy, and I couldn't help but think, "Were they always this chewy?" However, the noodles didn't have any extra flavor, so they didn't interfere with the taste of the soup. At 900 yen, the price is high, but for fans who have been craving this ramen, it's good news.
