I enjoyed delicious drinks at an authentic bar called Whisky in Shinsaibashi. It was the weekend, but there were few customers, perhaps due to the rain clearing up. The charm of the place was the thinly sliced carrots and peanuts. I had a gin and tonic and a wine cooler. Thank you for the meal.

I tried to go before around 11:00 PM before, but it was full and I couldn't get in. However, this time I visited before 7:00 PM on the weekend, so the restaurant was empty and lucky♪ The interior of the restaurant is spacious, with a long counter and tables in the center. The dim lighting and jazz music playing in the background create a pleasant atmosphere *\(^o^)/* The charms included peanuts, edamame, and thin carrot sticks. It was the first time I had thin carrot sticks served, and they were delicious with a touch of salt ( ˘ω˘ ) For cocktails, I ordered a fruity one for the first drink and a creamy one for the second. The fruity one was refreshing with apple and gin (Tanqueray) and perfect after a day of eating out. The creamy one had a sweet nutty flavor (╹◡╹) My husband had a highball and he was delighted with the delicious drinks here, as if he had visited many times before♪ The total for 4 drinks for two people was 6300 yen. I love BARBAR whiskey in Shinsaibashi, which is run by a mother and son. They have a wide variety of whiskies to enjoy, and they also make my favorite Mojito. I am grateful and will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Used it as a second party venue on a whim. - Ordered three drinks and chocolate for food. - The Piña Colada I ordered was a cocktail with coconut and pineapple flavors. It was easy to drink and had a taste that even those who are not good with alcohol could enjoy. - For food, carrot sticks, biscuits, nuts, and salt were served as starters. They were delicious when paired with the chocolate I ordered. - While it is an authentic bar, there was not much tension and the service was friendly. Thanks to this, I was able to have a conversation with my companions without feeling awkward. After enjoying seafood dishes at "Nishiki" in Senri, we sought a different space away from the hustle and bustle of Minami and visited "Bar Whiskey." The location is a building on the right side after turning right at the Minami Post Office intersection while walking south on Sakaisuji from Osaka Metro Nagahoribashi Station. Upon entering, you can feel the authentic bar atmosphere. The bar is uniquely arranged with an L-shaped counter in the back corner and shelves of whiskey and liqueur bottles in the back also in an L-shape. There were two bartenders, a man, and a woman, behind the counter, and we chose to sit in front of the male bartender. It was late, and there was only one other customer at a table. We were served with "peanuts in shells," "rice crackers," and "carrot sticks." The carrot sticks were accompanied by salt and were surprisingly delicious. For the order, despite the name suggesting whiskey, as it was our first time at the bar, we started with cocktails. I ordered a "Gimlet" as usual. It was a type with freshly squeezed lime juice instead of lime cordial, giving it a refreshing and slightly tangy taste. The interior was quiet with jazz music playing softly, dim lighting with green lamps scattered around, creating a space that made you forget you were in the lively and noisy Minami area. It felt like time was passing slowly in a different way here. Engaging in conversations with friends, as the closing time approached, I ended with a "Martini." I asked for a dry Martini with gin of their choice. The process of watching the bartender pour the gin into a well-chilled mixing glass with a few drops of vermouth and stirring was enjoyable, imagining the taste. The Martini served was not overly dry, making it quite easy to drink, yet still had a well-balanced flavor. The back bar displayed a wide selection of whiskeys, including rare single malts from bottlers. As I don't often visit bars in Minami, I found this to be a great place. I'll have to revisit another time since our evening was ending. The bill came to around 10,000 yen for three people. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I went to a restaurant with my boss. My boss is good at drinking and often drinks whiskey, so I was worried because I'm not as strong. However, the server recommended an easy-to-drink whiskey that was both stylish in name and glass. The coaster was also cute.

The atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious, but something about it just doesn't feel right for me.

There is a group of bars called Shinsaibashi Club that seems to be popular around the Shinsaibashi area. The main bartenders are a man named Sakajiri and a woman named Ito. When I visited, there was also a young male bartender present. There was an elderly woman who greeted us at the entrance, and she had a unique and pleasant atmosphere. The cover charge was 500 yen, and the charms were decent. They served finely chopped carrots with salt, roasted beans, small square sesame crackers, and later on, I tried the baked cheese, which was like a cheese toast with Galliano liqueur mixed in. I started with a straight pour of KAVALAN, a Taiwanese high-end malt that tasted somewhat sweet. I might not need another glass of it. I also had a cocktail made with Chartreuse, possibly called Round Midnight, but the recipe was unclear. It was gin-based and reminded me of a relative of the Alaska cocktail. The bar is like a branch of a longstanding bar in Namba, with a more casual atmosphere than a high-end malt-focused place, which was a nice change.
