I visited the restaurant around 11 am on a weekday. There were no other customers, so it was like having the place to myself. I ordered the wasabi salt ramen. The bowl had a generous amount of wasabi sitting on top of the chashu. The soup was a bit salty, but it paired well with the wasabi. Mixing the wasabi in the soup with the spoon before taking a bite was a great idea. It helped to enhance the flavor. The noodles were on the lighter side, which might be a preference for some. The other toppings also seemed to be carefully chosen for this ramen. I ended up putting all the wasabi into the bowl towards the end. Overall, it was a delicious meal!

I was curious about this restaurant and finally had the chance to visit. This ramen has wasabi in it, so it will definitely hit your nose. When the ramen arrived, I was surprised to see quite a lot of wasabi on top. I first tried the soup without the wasabi, it was hard to describe - the chicken broth was gentle yet slightly blurry. When you dissolve the wasabi a little bit, the flavor transforms into a punchy taste. If you dissolve too much, it becomes unbearable. I love chicken broth ramen, but I found the satisfaction level slightly low. It's innovative, but I didn't have any further thoughts on the taste. There was a rice dish with wasabi on the menu, and I thought that was the right choice - perhaps mixing soy sauce with rice and wasabi would be good. Or maybe a soy sauce ramen with wasabi? The noodles are thin and complement the soup well, even comparable to cold noodles. The toppings include two types of chashu (chicken and pork), green onions, boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and watercress - all with mild flavors that enhance when dipped in the soup. As I ate without fully dissolving the wasabi, the soup turned into an incredibly strong wasabi flavor. The owner was friendly and polite. This ramen had a mix of kindness and strictness. I'm intrigued by the other menu items and would like to come back again.

I received the Mountain Wasabi Salt ramen. It is the most delicious soup I have ever had. It looks delicious from the appearance. The clear soup is refreshing with just the right amount of saltiness. When you slurp the noodles, the deliciousness of the soup stands out. The wasabi is freshly grated, and if you mix it in all at once and slurp, it's overwhelming. But if you dissolve it little by little, it goes perfectly with the soup. The bamboo shoots are delicious, with no extra flavor added, very tasty. Even the chashu was delicious, especially the pork. The perfect firmness and rich pork flavor are delightful. Even the green onions are separated into white and green parts, allowing you to enjoy two different flavors. I could really feel the dedication of the chef. And the encounter with the new genre of Mountain Wasabi Ramen was quietly moving. The soup is truly outstanding. Thank you for the meal.

This is my second visit. I wanted to taste the sea bream broth and decided to go after a long time. First, the parking lot has changed to a coin parking, with a discount but still around 200 yen per hour. I parked the car. When I entered the restaurant, I remembered that I needed to buy a meal ticket. The sea bream yuzu salt ramen was light and easy to eat, with a strong sea bream flavor that was delicious! I finished the ingredients and asked to change the remaining soup to rice porridge, but it's always so delicious that I feel like eating it all. And the rice porridge at the end is like sea bream ochazuke, so I devour it. My friend ordered miso ramen, and both the noodles and the soup were different, so it seems like there are different types of enjoyment to discover.

First visit. By presenting a nearby Mitsui Parking parking ticket, you can get a 100 yen discount. I am curious about the Tai no Yuzu Shio (sea bream with yuzu salt) and the Shime no Zosui (rice porridge). I decided to order the Yamawasabi Shio (mountain wasabi salt) ramen priced at 750 yen, which is also used in the name of the restaurant. [Soup] Before serving, the sound of grating the mountain wasabi is pleasantly heard. The golden soup in the bowl looks beautiful! I can already sense the excellent way the umami is extracted even before tasting it. I enjoy the aroma immediately. The scent of the mountain wasabi is indeed strong. By not dissolving the mountain wasabi, I use the spoon to savor the aroma and enjoy the high-quality dashi scent. When I take a sip, a taste of Japanese essence spreads in my mouth. It is delicious as it is! Really delicious! Even when the mountain wasabi is fully dissolved, it is still delicious! The tingling sensation in the soup is also good. The basic soup is delicious, so it might be nice to eat the noodles without the mountain wasabi and then add the mountain wasabi in the rice porridge. [Noodles] The noodles are from Nishiyama Seimen, and they offer various types of noodles at other shops as well. I think these noodles are also custom-made and unique. The white, thin noodles do not assert their own flavor to complement the soup. They resemble rice noodles. As someone who likes the taste of wheat, these noodles are not to my liking. I will keep an eye on how many people actually like them in the future. [Chashu] The chicken chashu is moist and tender without any dryness. It could use a bit more seasoning. The pork chashu is well-seasoned and very delicious. [Other ingredients] The soft-boiled egg is not seasoned. The yolk is very tasty, but I am not a fan of the egg white. I wish it had a little more salt. The bamboo shoots have a high-quality flavor. The balance of ingredients like green onions is solid for a ramen dish. With this content, you can say that it offers good value for money overall. [Overall] The soup is undeniably delicious, especially when you dip rice in it for the finishing touch. I am also very curious about the sea bream and clams at this restaurant. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal♪♪

There is not much information about cold ramen, so I will share some details. The wasabi in the Tsurara Soba is excellent. They grate it right in front of you, which is a treat for wasabi lovers. If you bring a parking validation, you can get a 100 yen cashback. The sea urchin was also delicious. Comes with rice.

This is a shop along Hiragishi Street. When I arrived by car, I couldn't find a place to park... I checked the sign in front of the shop, which said to park in the coin parking lot behind the shop. I parked at the back and then visited the shop. It was just past lunchtime and there were two other customers already there. Now, what to order... It's a ticket system, but there are also various menu options posted on the wall, making it a bit confusing to know what to choose... In the end, I ordered the recommended Wasabi Ramen. It was served in about 5 minutes. Fast. I love the abundance of bamboo shoots and green onions. The clear soup is very light, without any strong flavors, giving the feeling of just drinking the broth. This ramen can be eaten even when you're not feeling hungry. The thin noodles are smooth and easy to eat. As the name suggests, there is a lot of wasabi on top, so be careful not to choke when slurping it down. When I tried it as it is, the spiciness was quite good. Mixing it into the soup would kill the flavor. As for the parking, if you bring the parking certificate, you get a 100 yen cashback. In the end, the parking fee was 200 yen, but it was a hassle to go back to the shop to get the certificate. The ramen cost me 950 yen in total!

As soon as I entered the shop, my glasses fogged up instantly. The humidity was intense! When I took off my glasses, it felt like I was in a location that was more like a snack bar than a ramen shop. I started by using the ticket machine to order the most popular item. I chose the "Yam Wasabi Salt" ramen, which was a combination of salt ramen with yam and wasabi, a combination that I had never seen before. When the shop owner brought the ramen to me, he warned me to be careful because the wasabi might make me choke. I took a sip of the soup and, as expected, the wasabi made me tear up and my nose run. It was like putting too much wasabi in rice porridge. However, the broth was simple and delicious, with a base of bonito and pork, giving it a light and enjoyable flavor. I had to be careful not to choke while eating the ramen. I think they could reduce the amount of toppings they put on the ramen. It would be better if they served them on a small plate so customers could add them according to their preference.

I ordered the Wasabi Salt soba for 750 yen at the vending machine of the Chinese soba restaurant. The owner warned me not to choke, but I still choked a bit ^_^ The flavor of the traditional broth was strong and delicious. It's a ramen for adults. There are many other flavors that I'm curious about. I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely visit again.

Sea urchin... eel... I'm torn between the two. The lineup of unique soba dishes is impressive and intriguing. However, since alcohol was not available when I entered, I couldn't order any of the appetizers listed on the wall. So, I decided to stick to my original plan and go with the most popular menu item. But still... the secret weapon dishes labeled as such are... definitely intriguing. The seasonal dishes all seem hearty and delicious. The wasabi salt for 750 yen caught my eye on the ticket machine, along with 200 yen and 300 yen appetizers. Although the alcohol lamp was red, I decided to ask the owner about it. I sat on a simple chair and asked, "Excuse me, what kind of appetizers do you have?" The owner, engrossed in their smartphone, replied without even looking at me, "Oh, we're not serving alcohol right now, so it doesn't matter." So, I ordered the ramen ticket and handed it over politely. I'm really sorry for interrupting your video. And then, with a spirited "Here you go!" they started making the ramen. The serving was done with a loud voice and the ramen was finally served. The result? Delicious ramen. The owner didn't even look at me throughout the whole experience, maybe due to the current social distancing measures. After finishing the meal, I said "Thank you for the meal" and left, but the owner still didn't look at me. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was my first visit to a ramen shop that I pass by occasionally. There was a ticket machine right by the entrance. I tried the "Sea Bream Dashi Yuzu Shoyu Soba (Salt)" for 880 yen. I usually don't eat salt ramen much, but Sea Bream Dashi? It was light but satisfying and delicious. The yuzu flavor was not very strong, but the refreshing aftertaste was probably due to the yuzu. I was happy to see the Menma was the pointed Menma and the straight noodles. The Chashu came in two types, and the chicken Chashu was super tender. There was also some kind of fish ball in it, maybe sea bream? It was tasty. Even though I don't usually eat salt ramen, I enjoyed it. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers. The izakaya menu was also extensive, so it seems like a good place to drink and have ramen as a finish. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

In June, I visited a ramen shop in Sapporo that offers ramen with "mountain wasabi". It's called Wadashi Chuka SOBA Yamawasabi in the Hiranishi area of Sapporo. The shop is located on a street facing the road with parking space for two cars nearby. Inside the shop, there is only a counter, and the friendly owner greets you. You order using a ticket machine, and while the regular menu items are tempting, the limited edition "Himitsu Heiki" caught my eye. In terms of COVID-19 precautions, the shop has no partitions at the counter, but the seating is spaced out well. Hand sanitizers and ventilation are in place, and customers are seated apart while wearing masks, which creates a good atmosphere. My wife ordered the Salt Ramen with mountain wasabi, priced at 750 yen. The soup had a transparent light brown color with various toppings, and the mountain wasabi added a nice touch. The noodles were wavy and had a good texture, smoothly pulling the soup. The soup had a subtle mountain wasabi flavor that became more pronounced when mixed in, creating a unique and delicious taste. The chashu pork had a rich flavor and a good texture. I ordered the Himitsu Heiki ① (Nagare SOBA) priced at 800 yen, a dipping noodles style dish with plenty of mountain wasabi. The noodles had a great texture, and the mountain wasabi added a pleasant kick. The dipping sauce had a balanced acidity that paired well with the mountain wasabi-infused noodles, creating a delicious combination. The toppings like shredded chashu, mini tomatoes, and quail eggs added a nice touch to the dish. Overall, we were both pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the imaginative menu. The owner's friendly and positive attitude left a good impression, and we agreed that we would definitely revisit this place. It was a satisfying experience, and we look forward to coming back. Thank you for the meal.

In May 2021, I visited a ramen shop along the Hiragishi Street. I love wasabi and had been curious about this shop since it opened. I planned to order the Wasabi Ramen, but ended up getting the limited-time Chicken Dashi Shoyu Garlic ramen instead. They also had a popular menu item called Ochazuke, where you pour ramen soup over rice, but I decided to just have plain rice. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to be served. The soup had a beautiful color with plenty of garlic chips on top. The chicken broth was rich and hot, with a sweet flavor that left a great aftertaste. The soup was delicious without any unnecessary ingredients. The noodles were firm and chewy, just the way I like them. The large chunks of chicken thigh meat were tender and tasty, with no unpleasant bits. The rice was cooked to my liking, slightly firm. The ramen stayed hot until the last bite, making it a guilt-free and satisfying meal. The portion of both the chicken and the noodles was generous, and the dish wasn't too salty, so I felt like I didn't really need the rice. I look forward to trying the Wasabi Ramen next time.

I had the Mountain Wasabi Chinese Soba (salt) at "Wadashi Chinese SOBA Yamawasabi" located at 9-18 Hiragishi 3-jo, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo (750 yen). The dish came with green onions, bamboo shoots, half a flavored egg, and some green leaves (not sure what they were). The chashu was chicken chashu cooked at low temperature, with two slices on top. The dish also had mountain wasabi on the chashu. The restaurant opened in March 2020 and has a small parking lot for two cars nearby. The menu includes various types of Chinese soba, rice bowls, and secret weapons like the Fragrant Clam Chinese Soba (900 yen) and the Gattan Ramen (800 yen). The noodles in the Mountain Wasabi Chinese Soba were medium-thin with a high water content. The flavorful soup had a strong wasabi kick that intensified as I ate. I finished quickly as I was sitting near someone drinking alcohol at the counter. The wasabi-topped ramen reminded me of the Wasabi Ramen from Sangreen in Numakawa, Wakkanai. If you like a spicy kick, this dish is a must-try! Thank you for the meal.

"Wasabi Shoyu Soba" in Sapporo. I used to be with a group of 8 people, but now I'm alone. Being with 8 people makes you feel hot inside and out. I got tired, so I decided to separate from everyone. Suddenly, I felt lonely. Oh well, I guess I'll go eat ramen. I passed by a ramen shop yesterday, but it seemed a bit crowded for families, so I didn't go in. This time, I visited alone. The shop was small with a counter that had 3 seats on one side and 5 seats on the other. I ordered the number 1 menu item "Wasabi Shoyu" for 750 yen. The owner was the only one working and seemed a bit restless despite wearing a black uniform. The shop had a jazz vibe. Although he was wearing a mask, there was no smell inside the shop. The service was a bit slow, maybe because the previous customer ordered a lot. I wonder if this place serves alcohol at night based on the menu on the wall. The owner told me not to take off my mask for more than 10 minutes. The noodles were thin and soft, with a good texture. The thinly sliced leeks added a nice touch to the ramen. The green garnish was unnecessary. The scent of wasabi was noticeable from the beginning. The chicken chashu was delicious. The menma was not very flavorful. The seasoned chashu had a strong taste. I couldn't resist finishing the half-boiled egg. The soup was light yet packed with umami and richness. It had a strong dashi flavor. This ramen was definitely worth trying."

I went to "Wadashi Chuka SOBA Yamawasabi" near Hiragishi Station. I had heard about a restaurant in Yamanote that served sea bream dashi ramen before, but unfortunately, I couldn't try it because they had difficulty sourcing the ingredients. While walking along Hiragishi Street, I came across sea bream dashi ramen❗️( ´∀`) I had to try it. When I entered, I was the first customer of the day. There was one regular customer and one other customer. The owner was running the place alone. Sea Bream Dashi Yuzu Chuka SOBA 850 yen including tax. It only took about 10 minutes for the ramen to arrive. The appearance was refreshing. Now, let's dig in. First, the soup. A gentle sea bream dashi with a hint of yuzu. It was delicious! There was no unpleasant fishy taste, and it felt soothing to the body. The mizuna was noticeable, but I waited for it to blend with the soup before trying it. The mizuna also goes well with this soup. The menma was tip menma. Soft with no chewiness, it didn't get in the way of enjoying the noodles. The noodles were straight and smooth, which complemented the gentle sea bream dashi and yuzu. There were two types of chashu. The chicken chashu was chewy and tender, especially tasty. Overall, it was a well-balanced ramen. It became one of my favorite ramen dishes, and I was very satisfied. Next time, I'll try the clam dashi chuka soba. Thank you for the meal. 9th ramen review of 2021.

Today's lunch is at "Wadashi Chuka SOBA Yamawasabi," which opened in March 2020. The restaurant is located along Hiragishi Street, on the left side as you head towards Makomanai from the subway station "Hiragishi Station." There used to be a different ramen restaurant here before. It's a second-hand property. You can easily spot it with the large storefront sign. On the other hand, the parking lot is a bit hard to find. If you go down the road next to the dry cleaner in front of the shop and proceed a little, there are two parking spaces on the left. Walk in under the curtain and enter the restaurant. There are many menu options displayed around the ticket machine, making it hard to choose. Since it's my first visit, I choose the "Yamawasabi Chuka SOBA (Salt)" for 750 yen, as it's also in the restaurant's name. I sit at a seat at the back of the counter and take another look at the menu. In addition to the "Yamawasabi Chuka SOBA" that I ordered, there are other Chuka SOBA options like "Sea Bream," "Duck," "Asari Clam," "Dried Sardines," and "Wadashi." It seems like a shop that focuses on the broth. Furthermore, there are various side dishes such as "Chicken Pon" and "Duck Roast" posted on the wall. It's a shop with a wide variety of side menu items. You can see the skill of the owner, who comes from a Japanese cuisine background. The dish arrives in about 5 minutes. A beautiful Chuka SOBA is served in a stylish white ceramic bowl with two types of char siu, flavored egg, mizuna, green onions, menma, and grated wasabi in the center. It looks beautiful. Let's dig in! First, the soup. Oh, it has a clear taste. It's a golden double soup made from chicken broth and Japanese broth extracted from bonito flakes, kelp, etc. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles with a high water content. They have a good texture that goes well with the golden soup. The noodles are provided by Nishiyama Seimen. Grating the wasabi on the side and melting it in the soup before drinking it adds a unique spicy kick that is irresistibly delicious. Wasabi, also known as horseradish, is a hidden specialty of Hokkaido. It's a unique idea to serve ramen with wasabi as an ingredient, which is also in the restaurant's name. The char siu comes in two types, chicken and pork. The combination of the mildness of chicken breast and the kick of wasabi is exquisite. The creamy flavored egg is also delicious. As you eat, the unique spiciness gradually builds up. The stimulation makes you tear up. So, once again, I finish every last drop of the soup, feeling satisfied. What a delicious combination of "Japanese broth umami and wasabi kick." It starts delicious, gets spicy in the middle, and ends delicious again. After eating, you feel a strange sense of refreshment. You can enjoy not only the taste but also the beauty of the presentation. Next time, I want to try the "Sea Bream Broth" and "Wasabi Ochazuke." Thank you for the meal! *This was the 145th meal of 2020 (visited on November 10, 2020).

I visited this restaurant, Yama Wasabi, which opened this spring and has been on my radar ever since. They have irregular hours, but it seems they don't take a lunch break, so I arrived around 3 pm and found only one other customer. I purchased a meal ticket and sat down immediately. There were various side dishes and appetizer-like menu items written on the walls and blackboard, and the very friendly owner invited me to come back for drinks in the evening as they have wine bottles available. I couldn't resist the invitation! After about 10 minutes, the Tai Dashi Yuzu Chuka SOBA (850 yen) that I ordered and my girlfriend's Duck Dashi Chuka SOBA (850 yen) arrived! The moment the bowl was placed in front of me, the delightful aroma of sea bream filled my nostrils, stimulating my appetite. The soup was a clear golden color, and when I took a sip, the elegant sea bream broth flavor spread throughout my mouth, followed by a refreshing yuzu fragrance. The noodles were just the right thickness and had a good chew, allowing them to soak up the soup well. The crunchy bamboo shoot menma, the irresistible nori seaweed, and the fluffy seafood balls with two types of chashu were all so delicious that I couldn't stop eating! When I tried my girlfriend's Duck Dashi Chuka SOBA, I found that the clear duck broth soup and slightly different noodles complemented each other perfectly, also delicious! The chicken meatballs were soaked in the soup, bursting with the flavor of chicken, and the duck meat had a pleasant texture that made me feel happy with every bite! As we were enjoying our meal, the Yama Wasabi Tea Pickles (200 yen) that we ordered together arrived! It was a type of tea pickle where you pour the soup from the ramen over it. After finishing the ramen, I poured the remaining soup over the tea pickles until they were soaked through, and the flavor of wasabi spread in my mouth without any sharp spiciness. It was an irresistible experience enjoying the flavor of wasabi while savoring the broth. I definitely want to try it after drinking! The kind dishes and the kind owner made us happily regret not coming earlier. Thank you for the meal!

Visited a shop in Hiragishi, but it was closed, so I came here instead. The parking lot is on the left after passing the shop and turning left. When you open the entrance, there is a ticket machine on the right. The top left button on the ticket machine is for the Wasabi Chuka (salt) for 750 yen. I couldn't find the button for the Tai Dashi Yuzu Chuka (salt) for 850 yen, so I chose the Wasabi Chuka, which is also the name of the shop. There were two customers ahead of me, one seemed like a regular. A man and a woman I think I met here were chatting about ramen. I sat at the counter and handed over my ticket. I had to wait a bit because they were preparing the orders for the other customers. I added gyoza to my order. The ramen was served over the counter. The bowl was tall and stylish, mostly white, which looked nice. The noodles were straight and white. With the Wasabi on top, it had a good broth flavor when avoiding the Wasabi. Once the Wasabi started to dissolve, the taste of Wasabi took over. Maybe it would be better if the Wasabi was served separately for adjusting the amount. There were two kinds of Chashu, white (chicken) and dark. They were not overly seasoned and matched well with the soup. The taste of the remaining soup at the end might vary depending on personal preference. The gyoza was average, but for 5 pieces at 300 yen, it was good value. It would be better if the condiments (soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar) were presented in a cleaner way. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. However, the noise when handling cooking utensils was loud and annoying. And the dull puns exchanged with the regular customer were not very entertaining.
