I had always wanted to visit the branch of the admired Kadoya Shokudo. I knew about the main store, but the long lines made it difficult to go, so I was thrilled to find out about the branch and had been looking forward to visiting someday. The photo shows the "Chuka Soba (Pork)" for 950 yen. It may seem expensive, but it comes with white rice and kimchi. Since I was on my way back from a party, I declined the white rice but had the kimchi, which was really delicious. Soon enough, the ramen arrived, with plenty of chashu and a shining soy sauce soup visible through the gaps. The anticipation was high. The noodles were thick flat noodles, which I had been looking forward to. The soup was a clear soy sauce soup with a deep flavor. The toppings included large chashu slices, a chunk of meat in the middle, and green onions. The chashu was very tasty. The noodles I had been dreaming of were as delicious as expected. They slid smoothly into my mouth, with a satisfying springiness. The thickness provided a great chewy texture, and the wheat flavor was prominent. Truly exceptional. Despite being a little tipsy, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and anticipated dish. The staff were very kind and attentive, which made me happy. I definitely want to go back again! Thank you for the meal!

This is Kadoya Shokudo Nishi Umeda branch. With this, I have now been to all Kadoya Shokudo branches. I arrived shortly after opening time at around 11 am, and there was already a line in front of the ticket machine. I purchased my meal ticket from the machine and entered the restaurant. This time, I ordered the tsukemen, with the famous pig trotters as a topping. The tsukemen here is the same as the one at Kadoya Shokudo Crystal Nagahori branch. The noodles are made from homemade domestic wheat, flat and thin. I started by dipping them in rock salt, then in vinegar with yuzu, enjoying the flavorful and delicious noodles. The soup is a clear soy sauce broth made from a combination of animal and dried fish stock, with a delicious umami flavor and sweetness. I dipped the homemade thin noodles into the soup and savored the harmony of the dried fish flavor with the noodles. The crunchy texture of the green onions and the tender bamboo shoots added to the enjoyment. The black pork tea pork was rich in meaty flavor and fat, making it a satisfying dish. Of course, the pig trotters were melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious, full of collagen. After finishing the noodles, I added some soup to make a soup-wari, enhancing the dried fish flavor and creating a delicious broth. It was a delicious bowl of noodles with homemade noodles.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Nishi-Umeda Station in Osaka, Kadoya Shokudo at Dojika is a more accessible option compared to their main branch known for long lines. You can easily get in without waiting too long. Their tsukemen with seasoned egg topping costs 1,460 yen and is consistently delicious.

Had lunch at Kadoya-san. Tried the Chinese tsukemen, which I had never eaten before. It came with a generous amount of char siu, but the dipping sauce was a bit too salty. I added some soup to dilute it, but couldn't finish it all. I think sticking to the classic pork chashu ramen with rice on the side is the best option at Kadoya Shokudo.

I went on a business trip to Osaka and had lunch with my colleague. We previously went to Kadoya Shokudo in Snack Park, but this time we wanted to try a proper restaurant, so we visited this place. I ordered the pork ramen for 980 yen using the ticket machine. It came with rice and kimchi, but I declined the rice as I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it. A few minutes later, the ramen arrived. Compared to Snack Park, the chashu (roast pork) was quite generous. This was definitely chashu ramen. Both the soup and noodles were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I found the "Kadoya Shokudo Nishi Umeda" on my way back from Osaka to Osaka Station, walking through the underground mall from Kita-Shinchi. I had no doubts as I had wanted to try Kadoya Shokudo before. I purchased a ticket for the Ajitama Chuka Soba (Pork) from the ticket machine outside. Upon entering, a female staff member greeted me and suggested a cooler spot further inside. The service was top-notch! The Ajitama Chuka Soba (Pork) had a classic appearance, but the noodles were elegant and paired perfectly with the soup. The thinly sliced pork chashu was also of high quality. I decided to skip the kimchi that came with the meal. It was a delicious bowl of noodles that made me want to visit the main store as well. Thank you for the meal!

Ordered the simplest set of Chinese noodles. Consistently delicious. Happiness is eating white rice with char siu as a side dish. The flavor change with spiciness and garlic is also good. Almost full at 11:30. After 12 o'clock, there will be a line of nearby office workers.

Dochika is an underground shopping area near Nishi-Umeda Station. This branch of Kadoya Sohonten in Nishi Ward. The branch can also be found at Hankyu Department Store and Crista Nagahori in Shinsaibashi. Purchase the special pork ramen at the ticket machine and sit at the counter. The menu may be different from the main branch, but I am not sure as it has been a while since I last visited. A small serving of rice and kimchi are provided as a service. The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. The soup was elegant and delicious, although different from the main branch's rich chicken oil soup. The straight thin noodles paired well with the soup. The thin slices of pork were perfect as a side dish with rice. I thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite ramen. Please note that it is not the same as the main branch's ramen.

"I also realized that the noodles are delicious." That was my feeling when I tried the special dipping noodles with pig trotters at this restaurant. I had tried the ramen at the popular Kansai ramen shop "Kadoya Shokudo" before, at the main store and the store in the Hankyu Department Store basement in Umeda. However, I had never tried the dipping noodles that Mr. Kida from the popular udon shop in Osaka, "Kita Take Udon," had praised on a Kansai gourmet information program. On this day in mid-August, after visiting the Osaka main store of Junkudo Bookstore to find a specialized book, I went down to the underground shopping area "Dochika" to have lunch. I became interested in the limited-time dipping noodles made with new wheat from Kumamoto Prefecture at this restaurant, so I ordered the noodles with extra noodles and also added pig trotters, a topping specifically for dipping noodles. I tried the noodles first as recommended by the restaurant, with salt and vinegar citrus, and I was able to enjoy the pleasant elasticity and rich wheat flavor of the noodles as they were. If you enjoy noodle dishes where you can savor the taste of the noodles themselves, such as kettle-boiled udon, you will surely like this. As for the dipping sauce, I cannot confirm if the flavor was limited to match the new wheat this time, but it was not very spicy even though it contained red pepper, and it had a deep richness that was perfect for the gelatinous pig trotters. The noodles also had a strong presence that did not lose to the flavorful dipping sauce. Traditional ramen styles are great, but for those who appreciate the taste of the noodles themselves, I recommend trying the dipping noodles at "Kadoya Shokudo."

Before entering the store, purchase a meal ticket by touching the screen. At the counter, ordered the Pork Ramen for 980 yen, which came with rice and kimchi, offering a good deal. The broth was soy sauce flavored, the noodles were thin, and the pork was thinly sliced, making it easy to eat and delicious.

At Kadoya Shokudo, I had the tsukemen. The Nishi-Umeda branch is easy to get into. The noodles for the tsukemen are a blend of Hokkaido wheat and whole grain flour, which gives them a rich flavor. The dipping sauce is soy sauce-based with a subtle acidity that complements the noodles well. The soup for the soup-wari at the end is also quite satisfying.

I had Chuka soba and Tsukemen. The Chuka soba was a traditional soy sauce ramen, light and not boring to eat. It had options to add garlic and doubanjiang for flavor variation, but I recommend eating it as it is. The Tsukemen was very delicious. The staff kindly explained the order to eat it - first, sprinkle rock salt and vinegar on it. The noodles themselves had a great taste. The dipping sauce was a rich soy soup with a refreshing touch of vinegar, making it enjoyable even in hot summer. I recommend Tsukemen to first-time visitors. Definitely give it a try!

I always wanted to try this restaurant, and recently it seems like there are many of them opening up everywhere. I went there for a late lunch while running errands nearby. The food wasn't bad, but considering the price, it felt a bit overpriced. Maybe I should have tried something other than the tsukemen and gone for the regular ramen instead.

- Visit Date/Time: Weekday, 8:00 PM
- Waiting Time: 0 minutes
- 30% of the restaurant was filled
- Ordered Menu: Tsukemen (dipping noodles) - 1280 yen
- Impression: First visit to the renowned Osaka restaurant, Kadoya Shokudo. Even without the dipping broth, the noodles alone were delicious. I would like to visit the main branch someday.

Today, I came to Osaka on a trip and visited a second ramen shop. The first shop I went to was Itadaki at exactly 11 o'clock, and after finishing my errands, I wanted to visit the main branch of Kadoya Shokudo, which I had been wanting to try for a while. However, they were closed on Tuesdays, so I went to their affiliated shop in Nishi-Umeda instead. I arrived around 2 o'clock and had their pork ramen. As someone born in the Showa era (around 1975), this nostalgic ramen was very easy to eat and delicious. The thin noodles were soft, and they accommodated my preference well, leaving me very satisfied. When I eat this soup, I can't help but compare it to the ramen at the main branch of Daiichi Asahi. While I may be biased, I felt that Daiichi Asahi's ramen slightly surpassed this one. However, for me, this ramen was still very delicious and I hope to visit the main branch next time. I would rate it 3.57 out of 5. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at the restaurant just before the last order at 5:00 pm, and luckily there was no line due to the rain. Ordered the tsukemen, which I hadn't tried last time, for 1,280 yen at the ticket machine before entering. The noodles were firm and had a great texture, although I prefer them a bit thicker. Sprinkled kabosu and Mongolian salt on them, adding a nice touch. The dipping sauce was like a Chinese-style ramen broth, with a seafood flavor that enhanced the overall taste. The combination was really delicious, with the kabosu providing a refreshing hint. Finished it in no time and the soup was also delicious when mixed with water. Thank you for the meal!

I also considered the Salt Chuka Soba, but decided to go with the classic Pork Shoyu Ramen. It came with rice and kimchi for 980 yen, which is a great deal. The flavor was stronger than expected, but the dish had plenty of thinly sliced chashu which made it satisfying. The thin noodles paired perfectly with the soup.

It has a taste that reminds me more of nostalgic Chinese noodles than ramen. I am satisfied with the flavor. However, when you order based on the photos at the storefront, the bowl that comes out feels quite small. But in reality, the portion is not lacking, just something to be aware of.

I went to Osaka to find a ramen shop that I like in Kansai. I wanted to go to the main store, but I didn't have the energy to wait in line, so I decided to go to this more convenient location instead. I arrived 5 minutes before opening and was the first in line! After that, more customers started lining up. It was a bit challenging to use the ticket machine to purchase my meal ticket, but I managed to enter the shop. I ordered the tsukemen with extra noodles for ¥1280 + ¥200. The noodles are made from whole wheat flour ground with a stone mill from Hokkaido, and they are a medium thickness straight noodle with a slight brownish color. The large portion was just right at 300g, and the bowl had a bamboo mat at the bottom, so the noodle portion wasn't too large. The noodles had a nice wheat aroma when eaten with salt. The dipping sauce was a classic combination of sweet, spicy, and sour flavors, with a strong sweetness. It had a slightly junky taste, so adding some pepper or other seasonings from the condiment tray might be a good idea. The toppings included diced chashu pork, bamboo shoots, naruto fish cake, and green onions. The chashu pork was thick and delicious, and the bamboo shoots were tasty, so I wish there were more of them. I also ordered the pork ramen with a flavored egg and 3 wontons for ¥980 + ¥180 + ¥240. The ramen came with rice and kimchi, but I didn't want the rice. The noodles were a medium-thickness straight noodle that reminded me of the dry noodles you can buy at the grocery store. The soup had a pork flavor that was similar to instant ramen, almost like the one I had tried at a store near Hankyu Department Store a while back. It had a taste reminiscent of chicken ramen. The wontons I added were average in taste. Overall, it's best to think of this location as a completely different restaurant from the main store, as the flavors are quite different.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line. When it gets hot, I prefer tsukemen over ramen. The noodles are chewy and the soup is rich. After finishing the soup, you can ask the staff to add hot water or broth to transform it into a lighter soup, which they will bring to you.

At Kadoya Shokudo in Nishi Umeda, I had tsukemen. The main store usually has long lines, but this branch is a hidden gem. The tsukemen has a soy sauce-based soup with a slight acidity that is really good. The noodles, which are special, have a prominent aroma of wheat and go well with the dipping sauce.
