I hadn't visited this shop yet, it's located between Osaka Station and Fukushima Station, near the Umeda area which is currently under redevelopment. The shop operates on the standard food ticket system, and I purchased soy sauce ramen, Tenshinhan (Chinese-style omelette rice), and karaage (fried chicken). The first dish I tried was the soy sauce ramen, which had a strong impact with its chashu (roast pork) topping, although it looked like a regular soy sauce ramen at first glance. However, when I took a bite, I could feel a rich flavor that was different from the typical soy sauce ramen. It seems that this shop uses soup made from pork skin and shoulder meat, instead of the usual pork bones or chicken bones, which explains why the soup is so clear. It seems to be a double soup with bonito as well. The thin noodles, similar to Hakata ramen, paired perfectly with this soup! The bowl was filled with tender and juicy chashu, despite its appearance. The Tenshinhan had a savory sauce made with Japanese dashi stock, and the eggs were fluffy, making it quite delicious. The karaage was served hot and crispy, just as expected. The side dish prices may seem a bit high, but the ramen's deliciousness was definitely worth it.

I revisited for lunch with the intention of trying the miso ramen, but after purchasing the ticket, I discovered the limited edition "numbing spicy tasty noodles." Despite being busy, I paid the difference in cash to switch to the numbing spicy tasty noodles. When I took a bite, it wasn't too numbing or spicy. Adding all the extra miso made it a deliciously spicy and refined Taiwanese ramen-like dish. I personally prefer the spicy miso and even ordered a second serving. The portion of noodles was a bit small, but it was just right for me as I had eaten a lot earlier in the day. Normally, I might need an extra serving of noodles, but the ramen was delicious. However, for some reason, the service was always rushed and there were mistakes in the order and handling of service tickets. It seems like they could use one more staff member to improve coordination, especially since the place is always crowded with customers. I hope they can make some improvements in their operations.

Located a 7-minute walk from Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, near the southern district of Umeda Kitamachi 2nd phase! I actually visited this place 5 years ago, and the ramen prices are still the same! In Umeda! It's amazing how they manage to keep the prices unchanged over the years. You can enjoy a pork soy sauce ramen with a generous amount of chashu for only 800 yen including tax! The soup base is made from animal products and has a rich flavor. It's unbelievable that you can get this kind of ramen in Umeda for 800 yen! I highly recommend trying the limited-time Ma La Ramen for those who like spicy soup! The spiciness is an additional cost, but you can add more if you want. It's already a popular spot, but once Umeda Kitamachi fully opens, it's going to be even more crowded! I recommend going there early to try it out! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited a popular ramen restaurant in Fukushima, Osaka for the first time! I arrived at noon on a weekday and was seated immediately without waiting outside. The restaurant had an open layout without partitions. I ordered the Japanese-style tsukemen, which had a tangy dipping sauce that paired well with the stable noodles. It was delicious! The balance of sweetness and acidity in the soy-based broth was just to my liking.

On September 13, 2023 (Wednesday: sunny and humid), I had a meeting and traveled to Umeda in Osaka. It was my first time in Osaka in a while. I was surprised to see many foreign visitors and the bustling crowds when I got off the Shinkansen. As I arrived at the meeting venue, I happened to notice Nishi Umeda Lamp ramen shop. Before entering, I checked the menu board outside. After some consideration, I decided to try the tsukemen. I ordered the tsukemen for 900 yen and added extra chashu for 200 yen at the ticket machine at the entrance. When I handed the ticket to the shop owner, I was asked if I wanted the chashu sliced or whole, and I opted for sliced. I took my designated seat and waited for the tsukemen to arrive. It took over 10 minutes, but when the tsukemen was served, it looked just as I had hoped. The medium-thin noodles were dipped in a soy-based broth, and when I slurped them up, they were smooth and had a nice texture. The animal-based broth and rich soy flavor spread in my mouth, and I thought it was delicious. The thinly sliced chashu had a punchy soy sauce taste that spread in my mouth with each bite, making me think it was simmered in soy sauce. I didn't research this shop before visiting, but personally, it turned out to be a great choice. Today I had the tsukemen, but if I have the chance to visit again, I would like to try their ramen on a cooler or colder day. Thank you for the meal!

I visited around 11 o'clock. The table for two was full, so I quickly bought a meal ticket and sat at the counter with 6 seats available. I ordered tsukemen. The soy sauce soup with a fish broth flavor and the smooth straight noodles were very delicious. I finished all the soup.

The soy sauce-based ramen was delicious. It had plenty of chashu toppings without any additional toppings, which was more than enough! I visited around 9 PM on a Sunday as a late-night meal, and there were enough seats available. The atmosphere was calm and not too noisy, so I could enjoy my meal in peace.

This restaurant uses Kagoshima prefecture pork for their char siu, and their unique blend of selected soy sauce is a standout feature. The special noodles made from 100% domestic wheat pair perfectly with the soup, and their pork soy sauce ramen, which shows their dedication, is exquisite. It was great that you could also enjoy variations with pepper, garlic, and doubanjiang. A friend who tried the spicy ramen praised its perfect spiciness for hot summer days. The dumplings were so delicious that you could easily eat as many as you wanted. The spring rolls were also tasty. The bright and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, along with the friendly service from the staff, was great. With reasonable prices, this is a place you'll want to visit again when you're in the area.

Food log overall rating 3.63 Date of visit: Sunday, August 20, 2023, 5:55 PM Ordered: - Pork soy sauce ramen 800 yen + extra noodles 150 yen - Japanese-style dipping noodles 900 yen I noticed this restaurant before because there are several famous soba and Chinese restaurants nearby that are always crowded during lunchtime. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was no line outside, so we were able to enter right away. We sat at a table for two. The pork soy sauce ramen had thin straight noodles. The soup was very light for a soy sauce base, lacking in umami and pork flavor. I regretted buying the extra noodles ticket in advance. The Japanese-style dipping noodles had medium-thin straight noodles. The dipping sauce was a mix of sweet and sour with a spicy kick from chili in a soy sauce base, similar to the famous Kadoya Shokudo's soup. Personally, I didn't enjoy the ramen or dipping noodles from this well-known restaurant and its affiliated apprentice shops, so I usually avoided them due to lack of research. However, this time I was completely unprepared. The service was very polite and attentive.

Midsummer, night visit, no waiting required. Ordered the pork soy sauce ramen. The soup has a strong meaty flavor. Thinly sliced chashu is generously arranged around the bowl. It has a strong meaty taste, so it's light but hearty. The noodles are thin and mixed with whole wheat, which was delicious. The gyoza was quite ordinary, no special flavors, but good if you're hungry. The young staff working there were efficient in serving.

Yes, it's ramen time at "Nishi Umeda Lamp". The "Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen" costs 800 yen, "Ajitama" costs 100 yen, and "Highball" costs 400 yen. This time, I visited "Nishi Umeda Lamp" after 5 and a half years. It's located about a 5-minute walk from Fukushima Station and within walking distance from Umeda. The big signboard catches your eye while waiting at the intersection. It was a very hot day, so I started with a Highball to cool down. I usually travel by bike, but it's nice to be able to drink alcohol when traveling by train! I ordered the "Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen" with an "Ajitama". After a short wait, the ramen arrived. Visually, the bowl was unique with the chashu beautifully lining the edges. The soup was made with Kagoshima pork skin and arm meat, combined with bonito flakes, giving it a flavorful and rich taste. The medium-thin straight noodles from Takeru Okada had a chewy texture and great flavor that paired well with the soup. The chashu topping blended perfectly with the soup. It was delicious! The "Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen" used to be called "Shoyu Ramen Pork" when it first opened, priced at 800 yen. Despite the high cost of ingredients, they kept the price the same and maintained the quality. A great effort in business management! The limited cold ramen also looked delicious, but I was too full for a second bowl. I'll definitely come back for it!

I visited because it was near the hotel. It was hot, so I chose tsukemen! It was just delicious in a normal way (lol). I wanted something salty because I sweated a lot that day, but even so, I thought it was a bit too salty. Maybe I should have ordered ramen instead of tsukemen!?

Umeda Lamp! Japanese-style tsukemen! This is a shop located at the Umeda Lamp Nishi intersection. I decided to visit after a long time and thought of having ramen, but since it was hot outside, I chose tsukemen instead! The noodles were thin and straight, smooth and easy to eat with a good chewiness. The soup was a Japanese-style broth with a strong soy sauce flavor, thin and slightly spicy. It goes down smoothly. Personally, I felt that the tsukemen alone was not very filling, so I recommend ordering a side menu as well. Still, it is recommended for those who like thin straight noodles. I visited a while ago, but I personally prefer ramen ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to have a light lunch, so I searched for a nearby ramen shop that had high ratings and decided to visit. When I arrived, the shop was already full and there were three people waiting in line ahead of me, but I was able to get in after about 15-20 minutes. Inside the shop, there were several autographs of famous people, including Governor Yoshimura, displayed, which made the waiting time enjoyable. Since it was over 30 degrees that day, I decided to go with the cold noodles. I didn't know what flavor it was, but the way the flavor spread in my mouth was amazing. Thank you for the meal!

I felt like I was going to become a lunch refugee, so I found this shop and immediately went in. Luckily, I was able to find a seat quickly and place my order. However, the wait was quite long. The ramen didn't come for a while. The restaurant was getting more crowded, but no one seemed to be eating. It was strange. Eventually, the ramen arrived and it was delicious with plenty of chashu around the edges. The noodles were thin and easy to eat, and the soy sauce-based soup was light and tasty. I also ordered the fried chicken set, which was also delicious. The neighboring table had a huge portion of tsukemen. It was a feast. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime. It is a shop where you purchase food tickets from a vending machine. It was a little past 11 o'clock, but it was starting to get crowded. The ramen costs 800 yen and has a powerful appearance with thinly sliced meat covering the bowl. The soup has a soy sauce base with a slightly gentle taste. The saltiness is just right, but the flavor may be a bit lacking. The noodles were cooked slightly firm, which I personally like. The meat had just the right amount of saltiness and seemed to be made to blend well with the ramen soup. Considering the price, it was a very cost-effective dish. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

"Soy sauce ramen with pork" for 800 yen. The soup is a light pork broth with just the right amount of salt, perfect for adding garlic and bean paste. The noodles are thin and firm, which I liked. The toppings include thinly sliced char siu and two types of green onions. The char siu covers the bowl and is heated in the hot soup, making it even softer. Considering the location, 800 yen felt like a good deal. Thank you for the meal!"

Hello! It's RamenWalking here! Today, I had the "Shoyu Ramen" at Lampu in Nishi Umeda. The soup had a slightly acidic pork bone base with a soy sauce flavor, reminiscent of traditional Chinese soba rather than typical soy sauce ramen. The thin straight noodles had a firm texture that held up well to the soup. The generous amount of thinly sliced chashu around the bowl was a highlight, offering a delicious meaty flavor. For 800 yen, the portion size was great value. They also offer a set with fried chicken and small rice for an additional 200 yen, which is a good deal. Overall, a satisfying meal at Lampu in Nishi Umeda. Thank you for the meal! Today's step count: 14,355 steps. Calories burned: 532 kcal.

Lunchtime at the ramen shop "Nishi Umeda Lamp" in Fukushima Ward. Ramen shops often continue to operate even after lunchtime, which is convenient when you miss lunch. I visited at 2 pm on a weekday. I purchased a ramen ticket from the vending machine and sat at a table. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 800 yen. The char siu was elegantly arranged around the edge of the ramen bowl like flower petals. The char siu was moist and had a tender texture, and there were plenty of slices, making it enjoyable to eat without getting tired of it. I actually wanted to eat more of it. The thin noodles had a good texture and went well with the rich and flavorful soy sauce soup. There were condiments like pepper, doubanjiang, and garlic on the table for flavor variations. I added doubanjiang towards the end, and it transformed the ramen into a different dish with a spicy kick! I also shared some karaage for 450 yen, but I found the seasoning a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, I was satisfied with the delicious ramen lunch. Thank you for the meal.
