釣りするカツオに食べるカツオ
I will introduce a Osaka udon restaurant recommended by a friend connected on Instagram! After googling, I found the place! It's my first visit to Osaka Udon and Soba Tenma. The address is 1-14 Suehirocho, Kita-ku, Osaka, on the 1st floor of Acty Minamimorimachi, about a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro "Minamimorimachi" and "Ogimachi" stations. It's easy to find, located northeast across the road from Horikawa Ebisu Shrine. I arrived at Osaka Udon and Soba Tenma a little after 12 p.m. There were 2 people waiting outside! While waiting, I took some photos. I was impressed by the message "Our udon is homemade, kneaded with saltwater, foot-stepped, and left to rest for a day. We cook the noodles (udon/soba) after taking your order, so please allow some time." The special original blend curry udon caught my eye! They also offer a set lunch with a bowl and udon or soba at a great price. When my turn came, I entered the restaurant! There is alcohol disinfectant at the entrance. After thoroughly disinfecting my hands, I got permission to take a photo with the staff and sat in the waiting area inside the restaurant for a while. When a table was ready, I was seated. They served strong barley tea. I ordered the curry ojya udon with shrimp tempura topping. It comes with an egg as standard. I had eaten ojya udon when I was a child, and this was my first time seeing it on the menu in Kansai. I heard that in Kansai, they prefer you to put the rice in first for ojya udon, so it was interesting to see it on the menu. There is shichimi (seven spice) on the table for seasoning. After a short wait, my dish arrived. The curry ojya udon in the aged iron pot looked delicious under the dappled sunlight! There was fukujinzuke because it's ojya. First, I tried the udon! The thin Osaka-style udon was freshly boiled! It was delicious with the curry coating! The curry broth had a strong dashi flavor and was gentle. I adjusted the spiciness with the shichimi on the table to my liking. The udon and rice were not layered on top of each other but separated left and right. The udon was on top, and the rice was on the bottom. I took a bite with the spoon! It was delightfully tasty! The ingredients included beef, fried tofu, onion, kamaboko, egg, and green onions, all of which went well with the curry! The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicious, with a solid filling! I tried changing the flavor by crushing the egg yolk! It became milder! Fukujinzuke is a must with curry! It was delicious, satisfying, and filling. I thanked the staff and left Osaka Udon and Soba Tenma. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I will come again!
