Every day, the humidity continues like a steamy sauna and the scorching heat feels like being cooked on a frying pan, but strangely my appetite doesn't decrease... (#^^#) However, in this extreme heat, I start craving for something refreshing. I decided to cool off with a bowl of "Sudachi Ramen"...(^^♪ This is my fourth visit to "Men Monogatari Tsunagu" in four years. I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine at the entrance and entered the restaurant! Although the side menu looked tempting, I decided to skip it this time. Cold Sudachi Ramen for 850 yen. The soup, noodles, and sudachi (citrus) are so simple it's almost plain! It's a very cool and refreshing bowl. First, I took a sip of the soup. It's a cold, refreshing, and clear amber-colored soup. The gentle flavor of the dried fish and the acidity of the sudachi create a subtle and clean taste. It's a soothing soup that you want to keep sipping forever. Delicious! (゜д゜) Super tasty!!! With this soup, I'm sure even soba noodles would taste delicious. The noodles are thin and have a nice chewy texture. Yummy! (゜д゜) Super tasty!!! They slide smoothly into your mouth while blending with the soup. I'd love to try having a second helping of soba noodles with this soup. In the latter part, I added the separately served seafood-flavored oil for a flavor change. The seafood aroma and umami become stronger, transforming into a punchy and oily flavor. Before I knew it, I had finished the whole bowl, wanting to eat more. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I knew there was a shop not far from home on the north side of Kaga-ya shopping street, but I hadn't been able to visit it. I went for lunch. Tsukemen with soy sauce 200g for 900 yen, plus an extra 100g for 100 yen, totaling 1,000 yen. Egg over rice for 280 yen, totaling 1,280 yen. It's not the best value for money, but the taste is delicious. However, at this price... I need to focus on the taste! More importantly, what⁉️ They're moving to Tokyo next month! If you're interested, you better hurry!

I visited this restaurant again after hearing that they will be closing at the end of this month. It was crowded with customers even though it was close to closing time. There were many menu options for dipping noodles, and it seemed like many customers were enjoying them. I ordered the dipping noodles with soy sauce and flavored egg, which had a rich and hot fishy flavor. The dipping sauce had a good balance of chicken and pork flavors, and was easy to enjoy. The noodles were topped with bamboo shoots, green onions, and flavored egg. The slightly chewy noodles had a medium thickness and a gentle wavy texture. It was fun to mix them with the dipping sauce. The flavored egg added a nice touch to the dish. I wonder if I can come back one more time before they close. Thank you for the meal.

I had a great experience at this ramen restaurant. I ordered the tsukemen with salt broth and it was delicious. The broth was light and mild, with a creamy texture like meringue. The noodles were slightly chewy and came with various toppings like chashu, menma, and green onions. I also enjoyed adding the egg yolk for extra flavor. The garlic chips on the side added a nice crunch. Overall, the meal was satisfying and I even had a second serving of the egg yolk. I noticed a notice on the table mentioning that the restaurant will be relocating to Roppongi in Tokyo next month, so I wonder what will happen to the branches here in Osaka. I might come back one more time before they move, maybe to try the limited miso tsukemen. It was a great dining experience.

I visited the restaurant "Menmonogatari Tsunagu" for lunch on this day. It is a popular shop in Suminoe-ku, with a second store specializing in tsukemen in Dotonbori. Starting this April, the Suminoe-ku store will be relocated to Tokyo. I was able to visit before the relocation. It was crowded during lunchtime, so I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine outside and waited in the waiting area. After about 20 minutes, I entered the restaurant and sat at the counter. I handed over the meal ticket for the "Ima mo Mukashi mo Chuka Soba" priced at 850 yen. The ramen that arrived looked delicious in its special bowl. It was a simple soy sauce ramen with a rich flavor, reminiscent of Kanto-style ramen. There were two types of chashu, pork, and chicken, and I was happy to see chicken breast chashu, which I like. It also had menma, white leeks, mizuna, and fish cake. I'm glad I could enjoy delicious ramen before the relocation. I will visit the second store next time. Keep up the good work in Kanto! Thank you for the meal!!!

- Ordered item: Tsukemen 200g for 900 yen - Cuisine: The chashu is sliced thinly with a slicer, providing a good texture. There is a variety of rice bowl dishes such as shirasu-don and ochazuke. The noodles in the tsukemen are thin, lacking a strong chewy texture. The soup lacks a distinct flavor, so perhaps a salt-based tsukemen would be better. Overall, there was a slight feeling of disappointment.

I went to "Men Monogatari Tsunagu" in Suminoe-ku, Osaka City. It is located about 400m south from the nearest Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Kitakagaya Station, at the end of the Flower Town shopping street. A convenient coin parking is available at the FamilyMart Nakakagaya-cho store, where you can park for 200 yen for 60 minutes. The cozy interior of the restaurant has a straight counter with 8 seats and an outdoor table for 4 people. I selected the "Tsukemen Shio" for 950 yen and added a "Large serving 100g" for an additional 100 yen at the ticket machine in front of the store. The large plate of noodles with prominent slices of chashu has a very exciting visual appeal. The slightly wavy, medium-thin noodles with added whole wheat flour have a subtle flavor reminiscent of bonito. It seemed like the noodles were mixed with oil to prevent sticking, possibly using bonito oil. The pure white foamy dipping sauce has a strong impact. Despite thinking it was a trendy foamy style, the foam was so bouncy that the noodles didn't sink (laughs). The foam appears to be placed on top of a triple soup made from chicken, pork, and seafood, rather than being mixed into the soup itself. Despite the noodles being traditionally difficult to dip, this foam lifts up the dipping sauce generously, allowing you to enjoy the springy texture of the noodles and the mellow saltiness of the dipping sauce with peace of mind. The moist and flavorful chashu, the well-seasoned and crunchy bamboo shoots, and the fragrant fried onions all show attention to detail in the toppings. As I dropped the egg yolk halfway through and mixed it generously with the noodles, I couldn't help but think that this might have been inspired by the fluffy Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

I tried a highly rated shop located in a shopping street on the south side of Nakakaga Park. When I entered the shop, I noticed a ticket machine outside, so I went out to buy a ticket for the Chuka Soba for 850 yen. The shop has a small counter with 7 seats. The Chashu topping was large and hanging over the edge of the bowl. The soup had a unique flavor with a strong umami taste and a hint of sweetness, perhaps from the vegetables. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles, and the portion was small, so I almost ordered an extra serving, but refrained due to dieting. The rare Chashu had a rich meaty flavor. The toppings included chicken, long bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, and green onions. Overall, it was a delicious ramen. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Chuka Soba at this restaurant for the first time today, and it was just as good as always. The Chuka Soba costs 850 yen, with an additional 100 yen for a flavored egg and 150 yen for extra noodles. I ordered two servings. The noodles were made of easy-to-eat whole wheat flour, and the soup had a nice soy sauce flavor. The toppings included rare Italian pork chashu, tender chicken breast chashu, bamboo shoots, fish cake, white onions, and watercress. The service was attentive and the overall cost performance was good. I would rate it as A-.

It had been a while since I visited, and there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. However, I was able to sit at a newly opened outdoor table. I had the classic Chinese soba for 850 yen, tomorrow's salt ramen for 850 yen, and salt tsukemen for 950 yen. All of them had a strong and delicious taste of the ingredients. The soup for the tsukemen was foamed, and you drop the egg yolk into the fluffy dipping sauce. Personally, I recommend the salt tsukemen the most. The quality at this level with salt flavor is top-notch in the neighborhood. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

This ramen shop is very particular about their dishes. I ordered the tsukemen with salt broth. I was surprised by the light and fluffy soup, which was absolutely delicious. The noodles had a nice firm texture. The tender roast beef chashu was a delightful addition, and when mixed with the egg, it was even better. This tsukemen offers a variety of flavors to enjoy. It was a truly delicious experience.

Tsukemen Salt 200g (Animal + seafood base 900 yen) ★★★★ The soup is a fish and salt base with pork bone and chicken. The noodles are slightly wavy, medium-thin straight noodles. The toppings include pork shoulder chashu, green onions, fried onions, watercress, arugula, bamboo shoots, egg white, and egg yolk. The soup is a blend of pork bone and chicken broth with kombu, dried bonito, and fish stock, with a good amount of oil and a sharp salt sauce, creating a delicious flavor. The richness of chicken and pork bone is enhanced with a seafood flavor, and the creamy finish is achieved with fluffy egg whites and smooth egg yolks. The noodles are a special blend from Taiyo Seimenjo with whole wheat, offering a supple texture and rich wheat flavor that pairs well with the soup. The large piece of pork shoulder chashu is moist and tender, allowing the meaty flavor to shine through and making it very delicious. Salt Ramen for Tomorrow (Chicken + Seafood, 800 yen) ★★★★ The soup is a chicken-based seafood salt flavor. The noodles are ultra-thin straight noodles. The ingredients include shoulder loin pork and chicken breast chashu, white negi, mitsuba, mizuna, cherry blossom kaiware, hosaki menma, and kamaboko. The soup combines whole chicken broth with kombu, niboshi, and bonito dashi, adding a moderate amount of oil to create a clear outline with a sharp saltiness that brings out the umami of the chicken and a subtle seafood flavor, resulting in a rich and deep taste. The noodles are made with a blend of whole wheat flour from Taiyo Seimenjo, providing a supple texture with a smooth finish. The large Italian pork shoulder loin and medium-sized chicken breast are each served with one slice, offering a moist meaty texture with a delicious seasoning that enhances the flavor. Each ingredient is carefully crafted to perfection. Even now and in the past, Chinese soba for 800 yen, and a finishing ochazuke for 250 yen. Ramen Circuit special: no seasoned boiled egg, chicken and seafood. The gentle soup with a nice bite to it, paired with thin noodles, is truly Chinese soba but with a modern twist. The finishing ochazuke is served with extras like arare and salted kelp on the side, making it a fun presentation that makes you want to come back again. The cozy and welcoming service adds to its popularity.

I regret passing by this place before when I saw the store front. I ordered the limited quantity clam ramen with soy sauce for 1200 yen. The clams were huge! The chicken was tender! The yuzu flavor was strong! The presentation of the dish was stylish! It was my kind of ramen. I will definitely go back again! It would be easier if they also had canned beer available since they only offer large bottles.

Noodle Story Connecting (Osaka, Kitakagaya) Now and Then Chinese Soba: 800 yen Ramen Circuit Benefit: Ajitama with Iggy & The Fool 2022 Ramen #113 Today's ramen expedition took me to Kitakagaya. This is one of the ramen shops that I've been curious about from a ramen book. I had high expectations for the delicious Chinese Soba. I arrived before 6 pm, got my ticket, and entered the shop promptly at 6 pm. I bought the "Now and Then Chinese Soba" from the ticket machine and it was served in 13 minutes. Soup: The soup is a double soup made with chicken and seafood without any chemical seasonings. It has a Japanese taste with the forefront of bonito and seafood flavors, complemented by the umami of chicken. It felt nostalgic yet new, and I noticed a slightly fragrant aroma, which turned out to be fried onions. It added a nice accent to the soup. Noodles: The noodles are thin straight noodles made with whole wheat flour. They are smooth, firm, and have a rich wheat flavor. The slightly firm texture and slurp-worthy feel made them enjoyable to eat, with good soup absorption. Char Siu: There are two types of char siu, pork, and chicken. The pork char siu is made with Italian pork, cooked at low temperature to retain its moist and flavorful qualities. The chicken breast char siu is tender and has a subtle citrusy flavor, both of which were delicious. Overall: I enjoyed slurping down the delicious Chinese Soba. It was gentle, elegant, and nostalgic. This was my first visit to Kitakagaya, and I discovered a tasty ramen shop. The owner was also very friendly, thanking me for waiting before the shop opened. It was heartwarming to hear such a kind word. Those little gestures can really make a difference.

Yes, it's ramen time! #NoodleStoryConnecting "Tomorrow's Salt Ramen" Continuing from last time... My name is J, leaving behind Mr. S, the next destination is also in Kitakagaya, Noodle Story Connecting. This is also a participating store in the Ramen Festival. Upon arrival, I saw a Ramen Circuit poster here too! Unfortunately, I forgot the booklet, but I regained my spirits and entered the shop, ordered "Tomorrow's Salt Ramen." After a while, it was served - I like the tsukemen style! First, the soup... delicious! A tasty soup made from chicken and seafood (probably), the tsukemen style allows you to taste the deliciousness of the soup directly. The noodles are thin with a distinctive texture due to the whole wheat flour. The huge slice of chashu on a separate plate was delicious on its own, but dipping it slightly in the soup enhanced its flavor even more. It was also delicious, and I finished it in a snap. Thank you for the meal... 11318 (Ie Ramen) Location: Kitakagaya, Osaka, Japan. #Chukasoba #Noodlestagram #NoodleLover #Ponyfony_Food #FoodPorn #Gourmet #RamenInstagrammer #Ramen #RamenLover #FoodTour #ShittyRamen #ShittyGourmet #RamenLife #RamenAddict #RetripGourmet #AumoGourmet #RamenGallery #WantToConnectWithRamenLovers #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #InstagramGourmetAwards2022 #RamenCP #RamenWalker #SarahGourmet #OsakaGourmet #KansaiGourmet #OsakaRamen

On Thursday, May 5th, Children's Day, the evening noodle adventure is at "Menmonogatari Tsunagu" in Naka Kaga-ya, Suminoe-ku, Osaka City, a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line's Kitakagaya Station. The restaurant, which opened on March 25, 2017, offers a salt ramen dish called "Tomorrow's Salt Ramen" for 800 yen. The ramen comes in a bowl with a unique diagonal cut, topped with white negi and mitsuba. Additional toppings include Italian pork rare chashu, chicken breast rare chashu, bamboo shoots, mizuna, and kamaboko. The W soup made from whole chicken and seafood has a gentle and delicious flavor. The whole wheat thin straight noodles have a great texture and flavor. The "Ajitama" (flavored egg) for 100 yen is a bonus from the Ramen Circuit. Overall, it was incredibly delicious and satisfying! The restaurant is located at 2-1-15 Naka Kaga-ya, Suminoe-ku, Osaka City, with the phone number 06-6684-0001. They are open from 11:00 to 15:00 (L.O) and 18:00 to 20:00 (L.O), closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Completely non-smoking. I searched and found "Menmonogatari Tsunagu." I entered the restaurant and ordered the Chukasoba for 800 yen, with an additional topping of Menma for 200 yen. After a short wait, the dish arrived. It was served in a stylish bowl with diagonally cut Char Siu, chicken breast Char Siu, fish cake, mizuna, and Menma on top. The noodles were thin and straight. The soup was light and well-balanced in flavor. The Menma was served generously on a separate plate. Despite not meeting my expectations in terms of taste, I enjoyed the meal as I love thin straight noodles, and finished it quickly. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a famous restaurant near my place since it was my first time without connecting with J-san who takes Mondays off. It's located a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line's Kitakagaya Station. The ramen I had was a combination of chicken and seafood broth with a perfect saltiness that complemented each other well. The thin straight noodles had a nice chewy texture that soaked up the soup perfectly. The rare chashu was juicy and flavorful when bitten into. The egg was also delicious, and the thin green onions added a nice touch. It was a delightful meal. Thank you!

Located in the Kagaya shopping street, "Men Monogatari Tsunagu" is a ramen shop run by two women in a nostalgic downtown setting. Despite not having a long line, it seems to be quite popular. The menu mainly consists of soy sauce and salt-based ramen and tsukemen. I chose the "Tsukemen Salt" (900 yen) and the "Chashu Don" (weekday lunch 250 yen). The presentation was beautiful, with egg noodles, rare chashu, mizuna, and bamboo shoots. The dipping sauce was unique, with a foamy, cloudy white soup that resembled chicken broth but tasted like salt. It was quite interesting! The chashu don was also delicious, with flavorful seared meat minced on top. Overall, I discovered a unique and enjoyable restaurant that puts effort into each dish. Note that each dish is cooked in a small pot, so it may take some time to be served.
