March 2024, hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted in this separate section. Let's start with some white fish sushi: tilefish, flounder, and sea bream. The striped jack fish was exceptionally fresh and firm, so delicious! It feels like spring with the seasonal vegetables and the luxurious white shrimp tempura from Toyama. The whale sashimi was fatty and delicious. The grilled clams from Kuwana had a subtle bitterness that added to the adult flavor. And there was even some whale meat available! The crab sushi was top quality with its tag indicating its premium status. The eel sushi was crispy on the outside and wonderfully delicious. And then, a huge portion of pufferfish sperm sacs was served, making it impossible to eat any more sushi! The tuna sushi included medium fatty tuna and marinated lean tuna from a large winter tuna. The dessert was a delightful plum roll and fruits, with high-sugar strawberries from Nara and sweet oranges from Ehime. This dessert was pure happiness. Another delicious meal today, thank you!

One weekend... I went to a snack bar in Sonezaki where my senior works, and had a light highball while venting my stress and complaints. After venting, I felt a bit hungry. So, I decided to go to "Sushidokoro Otowa Bekkan" in Kitashinchi to have a light meal.
- Tofu skin and young burdock simmered dish: A delicately flavored simmered dish that was so good, I wanted seconds!
- Assorted sashimi x2: Beautifully arranged sashimi with shimmering horse mackerel. I requested to include horse mackerel in the assortment and it was indeed exceptional.
- Grilled conger eel: A generous portion of delicious grilled conger eel that was beautifully presented.
- Pickled ginger roll: The incredibly tasty pickled ginger roll was wrapped in high-quality seaweed.
- Assorted nigiri: Sea urchin, botan shrimp, whelk, tamago, and kohada. Each piece was so delicious that words cannot describe.
"Sushidokoro Otowa Bekkan" was truly amazing and the meal was a luxurious treat. Thank you for the delicious food!

◇Sushidokoro Onjaku Bekkan◇ Kita-shinchi, Osaka. When talking with a customer about wanting to eat sushi in Osaka, they recommended "Onjaku Bekkan" to me. The first dish was outstandingly delicious! Starting with white fish, then onto sweetfish and young eel, followed by grilled nodoguro that was unbelievably tasty. The sushi we requested kept coming and we were completely satisfied. I wanted to eat delicious medium fatty tuna and conger eel! We spent about 30 minutes and settled the bill. It had been about a year since my last visit. I brought a friend from the Kanto region with me. I confirmed once again that this is the best place in Kita-Shinchi for delicious medium fatty tuna. The conger eel was also delicious! It's a counter-seat only restaurant, and the budget was around 15,000 yen for two highballs, assorted sashimi, medium fatty tuna, conger eel, and sea urchin. We enjoyed our meal. In June 2020, the well-known high-end sushi restaurant in Kitashinchi, a special annex, has reopened for business after a 3-month closure due to the state of emergency. The counter is now equipped with splash guards for prevention, and thorough disinfection and COVID-19 measures are in place. The dinner includes large and delicious triggerfish and flounder sashimi, followed by a steamed egg custard dish. The sushi selection features Kiss with kelp, special Narisan sea bream, sea urchin, and salmon roe. Although the famous Oma tuna is not available due to recent fishing shortages, the Aomori natural tuna is exceptionally well-aged, sweet, and delicious. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

Started with wine and Western cuisine at Merange, and then headed here for some rice to finish off the meal. Wow, look at the size of that shirako! "Please grill it!" So delicious! Goes perfectly with the daiginjo sake. Next to it is a cuttlefish. Let's have it as sashimi with grated ponzu sauce. So tasty! I heard that eel nigiri isn't common in Kanto. In December 2019, I stopped by my favorite sushi restaurant to buy some "Kamionega Maki" as a souvenir and to say hello before the year-end. I enjoyed fresh tiger puffer sashimi, sake, and red clam sashimi. As a year-end tradition, I also received a special gift from the restaurant, "Bekkan special salmon roe soy sauce pickles." While working in my hotel room, I realized it was already 10 PM. I thought it would be nice to have some delicious sushi, and wondered if it would be okay to visit a restaurant at this hour without causing any inconvenience. I found this restaurant with a great atmosphere and decided to give it a try. It seemed to be a quiet time between the early and late rush, so I was able to enjoy my sushi slowly while chatting with the chef. The Botan shrimp was particularly delicious, especially when dipped in the yolk soy sauce. Of course, the other sushi and appetizers were also delightful. It turned out to be a wonderful evening.

I was amazed at how different sea urchins from different regions can be when I tried four different types. The eel also had different seasonings on each side, and the new style of sushi where they wrapped green sea urchin in the middle with plum and seaweed was fantastic. The jun-sai soup at the end was also delicious.

Today, they served a big grilled halibut that was incredibly tender and flavorful. "You can tell it's delicious just by looking at it!" It was amazing! "This is perfect with sake!" RiNa organized an event on Retty, like a meetup on Tabelog! We booked the Ona Betteikan for 12 people, which I've been wanting to visit! I'm super excited ❤️ But why the rating of 3.8? Well, this was our 5th stop, and RiNa guided us from the 2nd stop, all of which were amazing places she had been recommending. We got carried away and drank too much, even though I had work the next day and tried to hold back... ended up drinking too much! Despite the great deal RiNa negotiated for us at the Betteikan, including drinks for 16,200 yen, I stuck to oolong tea! Next day, thinking about work (;∀;) had to resist the temptation of the delicious sake everyone was enjoying. The sushi was delicious, and the chef was great! Enjoyed chatting with everyone (;∀;) but had to leave early due to time constraints (;∀;) Feeling sad, only 75% of full enjoyment achieved, a bit of a letdown! Will definitely go back! I promised myself to order and eat more of my favorites and indulge in the next visit (;∀;)✨

On this day, I received an invitation to a Re○ty event!! Yayヽ(*´∀`)ノ Yayヽ(*´∀`)ノ Yayヽ(*´∀`)ノ We had the counter almost to ourselves, with 11 people using it. Here's what we had on this day: [Re○ty Event Special Course] All-you-can-drink, chef's choice course (15,000 yen). The sashimi was all fresh and delicious! From the incredibly sweet Akou to the Shimaji, Madai, and Ainame, each had a beautiful flavor. The Ainame had a great smoky taste from being seared, with a firm texture and delicious taste. The Anago with sea urchin and the Anago with ponzu sauce were both good, but the Anago with ponzu sauce was the clear winner! It had a great texture and flavor, with a refreshing taste from the ponzu sauce. The grilled Beltfish was a bit strong in flavor, but the fish itself was delicious! The plum with it wasn't too sour, so it complemented the fish well. The Grilled Conger Eel was served with the head, belly, and tail all lined up in front of us, and we could choose which part we wanted. I chose the tail and it was amazing, with a great fatty texture! The Ken Maki with plum was crispy and delicious, with a perfect combination of flavors. After enjoying the appetizers, we had some nigiri sushi. The Tuna was marinated, and we had Chutoro, Otoro, and Eel. The Chutoro was my favorite, and the Eel was served with a crispy skin and was incredibly tasty. Overall, the food was amazing, and the all-you-can-drink option was a hit with everyone enjoying sake. When it comes to eating sushi in Kitashinchi, this shop is the first one that comes to mind. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) is really delicious! I visited with Ms. N for a late dinner with a highball in hand. The grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) was also good! The anago (saltwater eel) was enjoyable with both salt and sauce flavors. After karaoke and clubbing in Shinchi, I went for late-night sushi with H-chan. The dishes we had were: sea urchin, eel, pufferfish milt chawanmushi, sweet corn tempura, and tuna.
