Tonkatsu Wako Ario Sapporo Store Rosukatsu Gohan 1,380 yen Weekday 7:30pm I went for tonkatsu after work upon my companion's request. I used to love the lunch at Wako in Paseo and visited often, but since Paseo is gone, it's been a while since I've been to Wako. The service was quick and the food was consistently delicious. The rice, cabbage, and clam soup were all satisfyingly tasty. It had been a while since I had tonkatsu, so it was especially delicious. The male staff member Nakamura was very friendly and left a good impression. Thank you very much for the meal.

A great value lunch with slightly smaller portions of meat. You can have unlimited refills of rice, cabbage, and miso soup to fill up your stomach. The cabbage comes with dressing so you can also use it as a sauce. They also bring warm tea after the meal, which increases satisfaction. If you spend over 2,000 yen, the free parking time increases.

I visited on a regular Wednesday around 1:00 PM and had to wait a bit to write down my name. There were no other people waiting at other restaurants. I entered the restaurant after about 5 minutes. I ordered the "Wako Gohan" set, which includes unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage, all for 1,000 yen. The tonkatsu, which comes with change, is great value for money. The meat portion is a bit small, but acceptable. There is one type of sauce and dressing available.

The winter limited menu, miso simmered hot pot with tonkatsu cheese, was full of volume. I wondered if they used milk because the onions and vegetables were so tender. I was imagining miso cutlet, but it was more like a beef stew-style miso simmered dish with cheese on top.

I believe that tonkatsu doesn't make you gain weight! It was lunchtime at the Ario Shopping Mall, so I decided to have lunch at Tonkatsu Wako. There was a wait of about 3 groups due to the lunch hour on a holiday. I had to write my name and wait outside the store for about 15 minutes. There were also many inbound customers. The inside of the restaurant was not full, perhaps due to a shortage of staff, and it seemed like they were not letting in customers intentionally. It seems tough everywhere. Although I was tempted by the crab cream croquette, I ended up ordering the classic pork cutlet. The prices seem to have gone up probably due to inflation. It was served in about 10 minutes. It was nice that they showed the cross-section of the cutlet when it was served. It allows you to check the frying condition and how well it was cooked. The pork quality was good, and the coating was crispy and nice. The sauce was delicious and made the rice taste even better. The mustard wasn't too strong. I wonder why mustard goes well with tonkatsu. It may be a matter of preference. The small sauce dish was nice. It allows you to eat neatly. Rice and cabbage are free for refills. That's nice. I got a refill of cabbage. I think Tonkatsu Wako is a nationwide chain, but I don't see it often, so I wanted to make a note of it this time.

Located in the restaurant area of Ario Sapporo in Higashi Ward, Sapporo City. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and you can enjoy delicious tonkatsu! The W Washoku Gohan set costs 1350 yen and comes with two pieces of pork cutlet. The miso soup with clams, cabbage, and rice are all free refills, which is much appreciated. The tonkatsu restaurant is a great place to have seconds! I had a refill of rice too! It's nice to have affordable tonkatsu restaurants as well as high-end ones, and Washoku is definitely a good choice!

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! I woke up around 2:30 in the morning. I read a lot of reviews and got hungry, so I had some "Donbei" noodles. Today's plan is to make my wife's My Number card at the local community center. It seems to be a reservation-only system. After that, we'll have lunch at a famous ramen shop in Sapporo. It's snowing, so it's not crowded yet. We visited a few places, but there are many popular ramen shops in Toyohira Ward. We'll try again next year. Instead, we decided to go to Ario Sapporo. It's 1 pm and I'm hungry since I only had noodles for breakfast. The restaurant area is not crowded, which is unusual. We went to Wako for lunch. I ordered the Aoi (ladies' meal) for 1550 yen including tax, and my wife ordered the Hiiragi for 1380 yen including tax. The cabbage portion was huge and the mustard was spicy. Tartar sauce was also included. The cabbage cutlet was delicious and not too spicy. The shrimp fry was big, and the eggplant fry was meat-filled. The one-bite pork cutlet had a crispy coating. The real crab cream croquette was good, and the chawanmushi was slightly sweet. The cabbage was exceptionally tasty with no bitterness or odor. The warabi mochi was just average. Overall, it was a good meal.

Lunch break at work. It's been a while since I visited Wasco. The price of less than 1000 yen for lunch is appreciated. Of course, you can get unlimited rice, cabbage, and miso soup. If it's a chain restaurant, Saboten is tastier, but Wasco is worth a visit for its cost performance. It's a tonkatsu specialty restaurant, so it's not that the food isn't delicious. Just to be clear.

Today is the last day of my two-day weekend. I had breakfast at Matsuya and I'm full! I drove my second daughter to JR Shiroishi Station, which was crowded with drop-offs. There were about 30 cars in front of the station. I dropped off my daughter at the convenience store near the station, but I couldn't go back home because of the traffic. Normally, there is one lane, but it turned into two lanes, and I was in the left lane. I was about to enter the station rotary, but miraculously, a company car let me go. Thank you so much! Today, I didn't have any plans, but I had to do some shopping at the drugstore, which was impossible due to heavy rain. I decided to do the shopping at a nearby supermarket where I could park without getting wet. I went to Ario Sapporo with my wife. When we arrived, the bank's cash corner was very crowded. I guess it's payday today. I get paid on the 10th, so it's not a problem for me. For lunch, I wanted to eat tonkatsu. We went to Tonkatsu Wakou, and I ordered the Wakou rice set for 870 yen including tax, while my wife ordered the one-bite hirekatsu rice set for 850 yen including tax. The rice, miso soup, and cabbage were all free for refills, just like before. The cabbage was delicious, the rice was delicious, and the clam miso soup was delicious. However, the pork cutlet was a bit thin. Overall, it was a good meal, but I think they could consider raising the prices. Keep up the good work!

Located on the 1st floor of Ario Sapporo, at 2-20 Higashi 9-jo Higashi, Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. This tonkatsu restaurant is inside the commercial facility Ario. The entrance displays sample menus that look very delicious. They offer great value lunch sets and seasonal limited-time menus. During lunchtime, there is a wait to enter, with chairs provided for waiting customers at the entrance. When I visited after 12 o'clock, there was already one person waiting. I didn't have to wait long before I could enter as well. The interior has a calm atmosphere, with high ceilings and a spacious layout. Partitions are set up between neighboring seats for COVID-19 measures and privacy protection. When you place your order, they promptly bring out the sauce and yuzu-flavored dressing. The lunch special is the Wako Gohan for 870 yen. I always go for the great value Rosu Katsu set. The shredded cabbage is piled high, with the Rosu Katsu looking delicious in front of it. The crispy coating has a light and fluffy texture, and the Rosu meat, while not very thick, is tender and delicious without any strong taste. The fatty part is sweet. The miso soup contains small clams, giving it a rich flavor. And with rice, miso soup, and cabbage refills available, the cost performance is excellent. When the dishes are served, a refill of green tea is provided in a teapot. The tea is brewed with tea leaves, giving it a rich and robust flavor that I enjoy. There is also a call button on the flat table to easily call a staff member for rice, miso soup, or cabbage refills. After I entered, office workers, families, and others quickly filled up the restaurant, and it was soon full. While the food is typically eaten with sauce, it would be nice if they also offered salt or karashi soy sauce for variety.

Located in the Miaho area, on the first floor of Ario Sapporo, is a chain restaurant specializing in tonkatsu. I came to Ario for some shopping and decided to have dinner here. The restaurant has a traditional Japanese atmosphere with many table seats available. I was seated promptly despite the restaurant being almost full, indicating its popularity. The menu offers a variety of tonkatsu options, and I chose the "Hire and Rosu Mix Rice Set (1,300 yen)" which includes both fillet and loin tonkatsu. Additionally, rice, cabbage, and miso soup refills are complimentary, making it a great deal. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The fillet was very tender, while the loin was slightly firmer but had a delicious sweetness in the fatty parts. The rice was fluffy and tasty, so I had seconds. As a nationwide chain, the quality of the food exceeded its price. Although the restaurant seemed a bit short on waitstaff, I believe it's a good choice when you want to enjoy affordable and delicious tonkatsu.

The pork cutlet over rice was delicious with a thick cutlet. It came with miso sauce, tea-flavored salt, grated daikon radish, rice, clam soup, and pickles, just like the lunch set. It would have been even better if they had included a lemon, but overall I am satisfied!

Today is the last day of my two-day weekend~ Yesterday, I made the mistake of wearing fluffy half boots on the winter road and wandering around Aeon Nayoshi store. From last night, my back has been hurting? If today was a work day, I would have contacted my workplace? The shoes were heavy? It affected my back! My wife also seems to have back pain after test-driving winter boots? In that case, let's go to Ario Sapporo together to order the year-end gifts we planned! Once we arrived, it was so empty! First, the two of us headed to the shoe department. We ignored appearances and looked for non-slip and lightweight shoes (laughs). I bought ankle boots and non-slip shoes! My wife, who works near Sapporo Station where there is no snow, bought shoes with low road resistance! It's Friday, but no discounts? Actually, today we were planning to have the French lunch recommended by My Reviewer! But my back hurts! Year-end gift order completed! It's a big digression! Let's have lunch at Ario Sapporo! Me: "Tonkatsu lunch?" Wife: "Well, okay!" My wife prefers a heavy "tonkatsu" for lunch! We entered the restaurant, which was almost full and busy. Order: I chose the "Karinn" lunch from the menu for 970 yen including tax. My wife chose the "One-bite Fillet Cutlet Rice (small)" lunch for 850 yen including tax. Visual: Karinn one-bite fillet cutlet, squid fry, cheese-filled minced cutlet miso soup (with clams), rice, cabbage, and mustard. One-bite fillet cutlet rice (small) as it is - two fillet cutlets. Lunch menu includes free rice, miso soup, and cabbage refills (apparently free!). After eating: I realized that I haven't been to a "tonkatsu" restaurant that is said to be delicious! I've only been to chain restaurants? Furthermore, I always eat "tonkatsu" at local diners (laughs). I think it's a commoner's food! Ramen shops are different though! The soup, char siu, and noodles have unique characteristics. Do you make the soup at home? Make the char siu? Make the noodles? "Tonkatsu" is delicious when you put a little effort into the quality of the oil and the coating, I think. It tastes better if you use high-quality pork! That's the subtle point of a tonkatsu restaurant, right? I always feel that thin "tonkatsu" at local diners is delicious! How about the service? The service is good here too! After eating: It was delicious somehow! I even had refills of miso soup and cabbage! It's worth more than the price! Mixed opinions? Postscript: I included the controversial New Year's gift in this year's year-end gift!

I visited for lunch. This place is located in the food court on the first floor of Ario. I wanted to eat tonkatsu, so I came here. I was undecided on what to eat, but this time I ordered the "Fillet and Loin Assorted Rice Bowl". You can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage! I thought about having a lot of refills, but I can't always eat that much (・_・; The combination of fillet and loin has a satisfying taste, and the rice goes down smoothly! I had two helpings of rice, two helpings of miso soup, and refilled the cabbage twice. I might have been able to eat a little more... I would like to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I visited for lunch. This place is located inside Ario Sapporo. I entered as soon as they opened and it was not crowded. This time, I ordered the "Hire Rosu Moriawase Gohan" set. Rice, miso soup, and cabbage are all-you-can-eat. The hire katsu and rosu were both very voluminous! The coating was crispy. Both were delicious. The cabbage was also tasty with the dressing. The miso soup was very hot, maybe a bit too much. I got carried away and had 2 servings of rice, 3 servings of miso soup, and 2 servings of cabbage (laughs). I would like to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal.

On July 28, I went back to Ario again to pick up my wife. When I arrived, the event cleanup was still ongoing. I loaded my wife's belongings into the car and decided to look for some snacks for our drinks at home later. Soon enough, my wife finished everything and we decided to get takeout from this restaurant - Tonkatsu Wako at Ario Sapporo. It was a safe choice haha. When it comes to eating out tonkatsu, this place is the best as you can enjoy it deliciously without feeling heavy. Today, we got 2 pieces of special pork loin cutlets as our main dish, along with shrimp fry and minced meat. When we got home and prepared our drinks, we dug in! The special pork loin cutlets were indeed very tender with less fat and super delicious! The coating was quite thick, but compared to other places, it was light and easy to eat. The other fried items were also equally tasty - shrimp fry, minced meat, and chicken with shiso leaf. My wife was very satisfied too. Wako really excels in the balance of price and taste! We enjoyed the meal very much! Thank you for the feast!

March 2019, "Tonkatsu Wako Ario Sapporo" is the place to be. My wife said she wanted to eat tonkatsu and demanded meat, so we ended up visiting this place. Apparently, breastfeeding consumes a lot of energy. Ideally, I would have preferred a raised seating area where I could lay down my eldest son, but oh well... We ordered the "Hanagoyomi" set, which includes cream croquette with clam, one bite-sized fillet cutlet, and shrimp fry. We added an extra one bite-sized fillet cutlet for an additional 280 yen. The set comes with rice, miso soup, and unlimited cabbage. The cream croquette had a strong clam flavor and was delicious! I personally prefer fillet cutlet over loin, so the one bite-sized fillet cutlet was perfect. It was tender and tasty. Nutrient intake complete! Now, off to the baby goods store to buy diapers.

I visited for lunch and felt like having tonkatsu, so I came here. Even though I arrived before the opening, there was already a line forming (^^;; It seems to be a popular place. I sat down and decided to order the "Mixed Hiroroast Rice Set". Rice, miso soup, and cabbage are free for refills. Here it is! It looks delicious from the appearance. The breading is not crispy, which I personally prefer, but it's not greasy and easy to eat tonkatsu. I ended up getting seconds of rice x2, miso soup x2, and cabbage x1. I ate too much, haha. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Takeout is something I've done many times, but this was my first time eating in. To cut to the chase, isn't Ario Ii the best? I haven't been to Ikinari Steak yet, but they offer free refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The cabbage comes with yuzu dressing and the miso soup has clams and aoi seaweed for 1450 yen. The one-bite hirekatsu, ebi fry, cabbage, menchikatsu, nasu fry, chawanmushi, and dessert for 1280 yen. The hire and loin combo has a crispy panko coating and the loin is not tough. It's different from the takeout tonkatsu and I was satisfied.

I arrived around 11:30 for lunch on Saturday and ordered the Parapara Oyster Fry, Shrimp Fry, and Pork Cutlet set. However, we waited for over 30 minutes before the food arrived. The portions were small and the presentation was sloppy. The oyster fry was the highlight of the meal and I would recommend it. Overall, it was a bit disappointing lunch experience.
