This year, I feel like I've been discovering a lot of great restaurants at a pace where I'm giving them all top ratings. My taste buds might be a bit off, but food is subjective, right? In conclusion, Parlor Iwashi is a great restaurant! First off, the size of the restaurant. It feels cozy and intimate with soft lighting. There are only two staff members, but they are very friendly and cook with care. Everything looks delicious being prepared in the live kitchen. You can ask about the dishes you see being made, which is a privilege at the counter. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks and food, all of which are tempting and hard to choose from. If you're unsure, ask the staff for recommendations. I ended up ordering a lot because everything seemed so delicious. I had strawberry and water buffalo mozzarella, fresh spring rolls, wagyu beef tongue with wasabi, macaroni salad with orange flavor, caviar onigiri, baked camembert with Umeda honey, sardine sandwich, sardine croquette, olive oil gelato with salt, and lemon. All of them were delicious, absolutely exquisite. Among them, the most impressive were the sardine sandwich, sardine croquette, baked camembert, and olive oil gelato. The sardine sandwich, a specialty it seems, was made with delicious bread. As I've mentioned before, the bread is crucial for a sandwich to be tasty. The crispy yet chewy texture of the bread, combined with sardines and spicy mayonnaise, created a perfect balance that made it so easy to devour. The baked camembert had no hint of sharpness, almost making you question if it was really cheese. It paired perfectly with wine. And the dessert was also amazing. The olive oil gelato was delicious on its own, but when sprinkled with salt, it enhanced the sweetness. And when drizzled with lemon, it tasted like a rare cheese. These thoughtful touches were well planned. The restaurant had repeat customers and regulars, showing that it's worth visiting multiple times. It was a wonderful dining experience.
