Ideal for creating a nice atmosphere. The course menu with appetizers, soup, and main dish is great. The prices are a bit high, but worth it. The staff's smiles and playful attitude make the experience enjoyable. As for the food itself, how was it...!? For the end of the year, I decided to take a day trip to Otaru - Shiraoi - Noboribetsu. The weather was a bit uncertain, but it seemed okay. I confirmed on-site that the Shiraoi-Otaki Line (Holoholo Pass, Route 86) was open and made a reservation at this restaurant by phone (around 10:15). I thought it might be okay without a reservation, but just in case, I made one in advance. When I called to make the reservation, they asked about the number of children. We are all adults. After parking the car in the former Mothers parking lot, which can accommodate several dozen cars, I entered the restaurant. I will write mainly about the customer service and service, and I will write about the food later. Upon entering the restaurant, I informed a female staff member of my reservation. She showed me to a table for three. Although I made the reservation 40 minutes ago, there was a sense of "preparation from beforehand." Each table had a menu, an apron, and a plate for appetizers. "When you're ready to order..." she said and left. My companions took a while to decide. Maybe they were taking too long to decide... I might have looked exasperated. Just at the right time, the staff came to take our order. Me: Shiraoi beef steak bowl 120g for 1,980 yen (80g for 1,540 yen) Companion 1: Hamburger bowl for 990 yen Companion 2: King's hamburger, queen size for 1,815 yen All items come with appetizers and beef soup. A little while later, they brought a questionnaire (3 questions) and a staff-recommended picture book, "Tell it to the Stars," to our table. Oh, interesting. A follower, Star☆Ryuusei, mentioned reading a picture book here, and this must be it. I decided to read the picture book. It had been over 10 years... no, even longer since I read one. The story began with a conversation between Star-kun floating in the night sky and Jellyfish-kun floating in the sea one night. It was an enjoyable picture book that even adults could enjoy. Next, I looked at the questionnaire. The front had the questionnaire (3 questions) and a section for personal information, a section for how you found out about the restaurant, and a section for a message to the restaurant at the bottom. The back was an answer sheet for the questionnaire. The questionnaire was a bit quirky (reminiscent of a certain famous wizard series) and not easy. It said to observe the restaurant and the staff closely and answer. It was too much trouble, and I didn't feel like answering. I planned to fill out the questionnaire later, but I would leave this for later. While I was doing all this, the appetizer was brought to the table. I was surprised that even the reasonably priced hamburger bowl for 990 yen came with appetizers and soup. Then the soup was brought, and as we were enjoying it, the main dishes arrived... It was also nice that the water glasses were wine glasses. The staff was always attentive and would come to refill the glasses if they were empty. Everyone had a smile, and the service was great. Whether it was the appetizers, soup, or main dishes, they were cleared away as soon as we finished eating. It felt a bit rushed, but not in a bad way. From the picture book to the questionnaire disguised as a questionnaire, I understood the concept of this restaurant even as an amateur. Could it be a "space where conversations naturally flow"? That's how I felt. As a side of Uemura Ranch, which raises Shiraoi beef, they want to offer delicious food to many people. Delicious food comes at a price, and there is competition in Shiraoi town (such as my favorite, Iwasaki-san). Even the quiz and the picture book could help you understand the meaning of the restaurant's name, "Beyond." When they cleared the main dishes, a friendly female staff member asked, "Did you understand the questions?" I replied, "Oh, I'm completely clueless about Harry Potter..." and she kindly gave me a "hint," which helped me answer all the questions correctly. When we paid and left the restaurant, they saw us off until we were out of sight, making sure we had a pleasant experience until the end. It was enjoyable to have a lively conversation with my companions. Now, about the food and taste. ★Appetizer: Vegetable and fruit jelly Can be eaten without using utensils.
