When I think of breakfast, the first thing that comes to mind is the drink bar with unlimited refills - such a delightful service. They offer various juices, coffee, and teas. I ordered the "Scrambled Eggs & Bacon Sausage Set (tax included 549 yen)" using the touch panel, which is a convenient feature in today's world. I headed to the drink bar and enjoyed a glass of orange juice. Soon after, the Scrambled Eggs & Bacon Sausage Set arrived in front of me, offering a generous portion. I also had some salad with a tangy dressing, and tried to spread butter on the toast, but it wouldn't melt. I always wish they would warm it up just a little bit. The sausage was juicy, the bacon crispy, and I enjoyed eating them with the scrambled eggs or with ketchup. I sipped a cappuccino while eating, and finished with a blended coffee. I paid with my T-points, feeling like I got a great deal. Thank you for the meal.

There are various branches of Gusto, but there are only a few that offer fried chicken menu items. I visited one of these branches that I don't usually go to. It was convenient to order using the touch panel. There was no room for misunderstandings with the staff, and the responsibility falls on the person who placed the order haha. I tried both the sauce and salt flavors. The fried chicken was not particularly crispy, just a typical type. It wasn't something that made me think "I want to eat this again!" but it was easy to eat.

I wasn't sure if it was breakfast or lunch time, so I arrived at a restaurant at an awkward time with a growling stomach. After looking at the menu on the table and feeling indecisive, I almost settled on a campaign item that looked delicious, but it turns out it's only available from 10:30 am. It was still before 10 am, so it was actually breakfast time. I decided to go for something more substantial. Here is today's order: Hamburger Morning Set - 659 yen including tax The set included toast, hamburger, fried egg, salad, sausage plate, and today's onion consomme soup with free refills, as well as a drink bar. I chose a vegetable juice from the drink bar. The toast was buttered toast, which was really delicious. I don't have any formal comments, but I enjoyed all my favorite foods and finished it easily. This ended up being my lunch for today. I took a breather with a blended coffee after the meal. I also checked the Japanese breakfast menu, but the beef bowl chain seemed to be more popular. While watching a food eating TV show, I saw Gast working hard on developing new menu items. Intrigued by the delicious food, I decided to visit the restaurant sooner than expected. When I arrived, the place was spacious with only a couple of other customers. I was able to choose where to sit. The server initially accompanied me but quickly left after explaining how to order using a tablet and that water was self-serve. I ordered the Hiroshima oyster and shrimp seafood stew with half-sized udon noodles through the tablet. Surprisingly, the server appeared with my order shortly after. It seems this may become the norm in the future. I enjoyed my meal and was surprised by the balanced flavors. The stew was not as spicy as expected, but the overall taste was good. Afterward, I added a soft serve ice cream using a coupon on the tablet, which was delicious. I am considering coming back to this restaurant more often.

Recently, it has been fun to do morning surveys at various chain cafes and restaurants. This time, my girlfriend suggested Gusto. I had a sad experience last time when I arrived at 10:28, sat down, and struggled with the touch panel, only for the morning menu to suddenly disappear from the screen, leaving us looking at each other with disappointment. So this time, we arrived at 10:24, quickly placed our order through the touch panel, and avoided that situation (laughs). If you place your order by 10:30, you can continue to enjoy the morning service benefits. The Toast Set is 299 yen plus tax, with free refills for drinks and soup. The Fried Egg Set is 399 yen plus tax, also with free refills for drinks and soup. The most attractive thing is the unlimited refills for drinks and soup, and there is a wide variety of drink options! The toast is decent, not great but not bad either. My companion accidentally ordered a fried egg cooked on both sides and struggled to eat it (laughs). Overall, Gusto's morning service is high cost-performance if you have time to relax and enjoy your drinks. With prices ranging from 299 to 549 yen (Japanese-style breakfast is 499 yen), the menu is quite extensive. Hmm, satisfied. It's worth it! Both of us made a good choice this time!

I came here after a really long time, was it called Ripples? The steak was thin but good, and the collaboration with the karaage was delicious, especially the crispy skin and sweet sauce. I had a pudding parfait for the first time in decades. The soft serve was light and the pudding was simple but quite tasty.

In January 2020, before going to the hot springs with friends, we stopped by at Gusto for lunch! It was crowded even though it's the beginning of the year. Since we're getting tired of New Year's dishes, everyone wants to eat something different, right? I had a hamburger with a sunny-side-up egg on top, which was only about 400 yen. Including the drink bar, it was just a little over 500 yen. The drink bar had plenty of black tea, coffee, and delicious cafe mocha. The pizza that my friend's child ordered was surprisingly big and loaded with corn! It was so tasty and satisfying. My friend's tantanmen noodle looked spicy, but I tried a bit and even I could handle it. The guys both had something like a hamburger and tonkatsu, which had a strong garlic flavor. The strawberry sweet parfait looked delicious! I would love to try it when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the Gusto Moiwa store in Moiwa, or more like in Minami Ward, not really for any specific reason, just felt like going. I ended up at Gusto just because. They have weekday lunches starting from 499 yen (excluding tax) with a soup bar included. I remembered going there quite often before using shareholder coupons. My companion was thinking about what to order, and occasionally saying it's nice to go to this kind of restaurant. They ordered the Mixed Fry Lunch for 699 yen (excluding tax), while I went for the daily special which was Fried Horse Mackerel and Japanese-style Chicken for 499 yen (excluding tax). The Mixed Fry includes shrimp fry, oyster fry (2 pieces), and pork cutlet. My companion, who likes wine, hesitated at first when I suggested getting a glass of wine for 99 yen (excluding tax), but eventually agreed to it. I am the driver, so I don't drink alcohol. When we placed our order, the staff came over to confirm if we were driving and who would be drinking alcohol. This is an important thing, and I think it's good for other restaurants to do the same. I like alcohol, but I never drink and drive, and I always leave my car at home when I drink (I don't use designated drivers either). Even though I always drive safely, I know that even with a little alcohol, I might become more daring at red lights, so it's scary. I sincerely hope that there will be no more drunk driving incidents. Back to the food! The quality of the daily special set was surprisingly good and filling. Plus, you can get a free extra serving of rice, so I went for the extra serving! It was a satisfying meal. The atmosphere was nice, and with the soup bar included, the price is really cheap. My companion also mentioned that having two pieces of oyster fry is great. They enjoyed their wine while I had a fulfilling meal. We paid a total of 1,400 yen (including tax) for two people and had a delicious and enjoyable time!

After going to see a winter event, I returned to my hometown and decided to have tea at the usual Gusto. I love strawberries, so I ordered the strawberry pancakes. They were freshly baked, fluffy, and delicious. ( ˘ᵕ˘ )

It's now 2 AM. Yoshinoya is under renovation, so I went to Gusto instead. I had the chicken with shiso leaf and grated daikon. It was okay, nothing special, but not cheap either. On Wednesday at 10:00 am, I visited a cafe in Minami-ku, Sapporo. I ordered the freshly baked pancake set with a drink bar and soup bar included, which cost a total of 592 yen. Despite it being a blizzard day, I decided to stick to my plan of exploring Minami-ku. However, when I arrived at the cafe, I found out that it actually opened at 10:00 am instead of the previously stated 9:00 am. Feeling hungry, I quickly headed to a nearby Gusto restaurant. The place was not crowded, with only a few customers due to the snowstorm. I chose the pancake option from the morning menu, which turned out to be a simple and warm dish. The pancakes were not piping hot as described, but they were decent for the price. I also enjoyed three cups of hot drinks from the drink bar. I was in the mood for hamburger for dinner, so I visited a Gusto restaurant that I had not been to before. This location is conveniently located along Ishiyama Street near Mt. Moiwa, with plenty of parking spaces. The interior of the restaurant is bright and similar to other Gusto locations. There is a clear smoking/non-smoking section, with the non-smoking area being busier with families with young children. I ordered the "Cheese IN Mix Grill (754 yen)" and "B Set (322 yen)" from the special Cheese IN Hamburger fair menu. The Mix Grill includes the special cheese IN hamburger with demi-glace sauce, garlic sauce chicken grill, and sausage. The B Set comes with rice and corn potage soup. The hamburger was delicious with melted cheese and juicy meat inside. The chicken grill and sausage were average, so I felt that the cheese IN hamburger alone was a better deal. Overall, the prices are affordable, making it a good choice for families.

When I woke up in the hotel in the morning, I realized that I had forgotten to order breakfast, which was supposed to be pre-booked. So, I decided to go to Gusto for breakfast. After a bit of a struggle finding the restaurant, I finally arrived and ordered the Morning Set A. The set included two eggs sunny-side up, two long sausages, a salad, and a slice of toast. The eggs were a bit undercooked for my taste, while the sausages were a bit overcooked. The portion size was decent, but I felt like it was neither a great deal nor too expensive. Overall, it was an okay breakfast experience.

I actually wanted to go to a different restaurant, but my friend's child insisted on having the kids' lunch at Gusto and started crying, so I had no choice but to go to Gusto. I don't have a very good impression of Gusto in the first place. A long time ago, I had tonkatsu there and it turned out to be thinly sliced meat gathered together and fried with batter. Since then, my impression has been bad, and even though I have had decent meals there afterwards, that image hasn't changed. This time, I ordered chicken tempura and rice (large). It cost just under 800 yen. The taste was okay, neither good nor bad, I would say (although compared to the thinly sliced meat tonkatsu). Despite this, there were quite a few customers in the restaurant. Many people seemed to enjoy chatting and hanging out at the drink bar. In the past, they might have gone to an izakaya, but with stricter alcohol regulations nowadays, there seems to be a demand for hanging out at a drink bar like this. Gusto is originally part of the Skylark Group, a lower-priced version of it. However, in the prolonged recession, Gusto seems to have surpassed Skylark in terms of pricing (even though it's just a family restaurant). By the way, the child who came with us wasn't interested in the kids' lunch, but rather in the capsule toy machine near the entrance. The ability of capsule toys to attract customers is amazing... it can draw in three adults just to please a child (sweat). Gusto seems to be working as expected.

We used it for dinner. I visited with my child. My child had a kids curry, and I had the chicken grill. Since the kids curry didn't come with a gacha coin, we also ordered potato fries. The system that makes customers spend money works well. However, I used a mobile coupon, so I ended up paying quite cheaply. It's a wallet-friendly shop. The chicken grill came with garlic sauce. The garlic flavor was strong and very delicious.
