I visited this restaurant for dinner during my business trip in Asahikawa. This izakaya specializes in chicken dishes, and I ordered a comparison between Awaodori chicken and Hinaijidori chicken. I tried the Awaodori chicken teriyaki and the Hinaijidori chicken charcoal-grilled, and both were delicious! If you have room in your stomach, I recommend trying both. I also had chicken sashimi, which was also very good. Thank you for the meal!

In December 2022, a personal matter, but... finally resolved the work issue that had been pending for the last 2-3 years♪ Due to this issue, I had taken a break from posting on Tabelog, but now that it's resolved, I won't be taking a break anymore!! (*'-')b Well, I would like to say that, but... the number of drafts I have is... single digits... (∵ゞ(´ε`●) ブハッ!! So, let's talk about "Chicken and Sake" restaurant. A colleague organized a celebration for resolving the work issue♪ It's been a while since I went drinking at Sanroku... or was it Sannana?? (;゚Д゚) Not Santana, just kidding!! (laughs) We extended the 90-minute all-you-can-drink option for 2400 yen (including tax) to 120 minutes for the same price using a Tabelog coupon. I had two draft beers and probably about 5-6 Sui Jin Soda drinks (^^; The appetizer was octopus with wasabi. The Inca fried potatoes cost 600 yen (including tax) and were surprisingly the most delicious dish!! (laughs) They were crispy and well-seasoned♪ The tofu salad for 1000 yen (including tax) was just okay, nothing special. The firefly squid marinated in vinegar for 600 yen (including tax) seemed like something you could buy at a supermarket and put on a plate (laughs) It was fine, but not really worth the price. We ordered grilled chicken, comparing Awaodori chicken (1300 yen per serving including tax) and Hinaijidori chicken (1800 yen per serving including tax) grilled with salt. Drunk as I was, I couldn't really tell the difference in taste!! (laughs) They were not bad, but I felt like they were not worth the price either (^^;

Four middle-aged men ordered a 4000 yen course, but the portions were small in everything. We didn't feel like we ate enough... Maybe because we're big eaters? Haha. The conversation was so lively that we forgot to take photos of the food. We only remembered to take a photo of the exterior of the restaurant after leaving. Maybe we would have been more satisfied if we had ordered dishes individually.

I made a reservation online and visited the restaurant. I had been here for banquets a couple of times before, but this was my first time coming for a private meal. I relaxed in a private room, which was very calming. Now, onto the food. The chicken liver was better with just regular soy sauce (lol). The seafood salad looked delicious, but the freshness of the lettuce was a bit lacking. The dressing was good, but it would be better if it was served in a separate container to avoid being too soggy and overwhelming. The assorted tempura was the most disappointing. The frying was crispy, but the oil was too heavy. Maybe it's an issue with the oil they use. My favorite dish of the day was the rolled omelette with sauce. It was incredibly delicious. I would like to come back next time and try more of their chicken dishes. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This time it was a visit with a special reason... (*^^*) The restaurant we originally booked closed early, so we had to find a new place to eat amidst the current situation of avoiding crowded places. We ended up at a quiet restaurant where we didn't have to interact with other customers. We tried the "Chicken Liver Sashimi" with sweet soy sauce from Kyushu, which matched perfectly. It had been a while since I had chicken liver and the sweet Kyushu soy sauce. The salt and sesame oil were also delicious. We also tried a special dish that was not on the menu, which the chef had specially sourced. We listened to the chef's stories about his background as a cook and enjoyed a quiet and adult time. Next time, I'll come hungry and try more dishes with local chicken. Thank you for the meal! (*´∀`)♪

On 21/07/21, I attended a workplace social gathering with 3 colleagues. We celebrated the lifting of the state of emergency in Hokkaido. This month also marks the regular personnel changes. It's essential to communicate with new faces! Finally, our company allows gatherings of up to 4 people. We had a unique face-to-face meeting due to dividing the department. It was my first outdoor drinking party in 5 months, and for some reason, I felt unusually excited. We had a 2-hour all-you-can-drink plan, starting with a toast with draft beer. The restaurant specialized in local chicken, and I tried Hichinai chicken for the first time. The savory aroma of black pepper and juicy meat paired perfectly with beer. I continued drinking at a faster pace than usual. I don't remember the other dishes we ordered because I was drunk, but I left the restaurant fully satisfied. Next time, I want to savor the food a little more.

All-you-can-drink for 90 minutes for 2200 yen. We visited Toriwasa Inca no Mezame for our fourth stop on our drinking tour. We wanted to try this chicken-focused restaurant for a while, so we decided to drop by without a reservation. It was quite crowded, but we managed to get a table as it was past 9 pm. It might be better to make a reservation next time. We ordered light dishes and drank to our heart's content. The Toriwasa with chicken and sweet sauce was delicious. The wasabi was not too strong, which was nice. The Inca, chicken skin, and chicken tempura were all tasty, but the highlight was the oyakodon we ordered at the end. It was incredibly delicious. They also offer lunch for takeout, so I will definitely try that next time.

I think it's better to make a phone reservation because sometimes even if you make a same-day reservation online, it may say that it's fully booked. I visited the restaurant because I wanted to eat chicken sashimi. The liver sashimi had a slight raw smell, but it might be liked by some people. The three types of chicken sashimi for iron supplementation were easier to eat than the liver sashimi and had a good texture. The charcoal-grilled local chicken had a good taste but was a bit small. The tempura of local chicken was cheaper than the charcoal-grilled one and I preferred it. The dish similar to ojiya had a delicious broth, was cheap, and was the best. This restaurant is recommended because it's one of the few places where you can eat chicken sashimi. It's stylish, so I think it's especially good for women. It has semi-private rooms, so it's also good for couples.

It is a cozy restaurant with private rooms. I tried the Hichinai Jidori charcoal-grilled chicken for 1,600 yen. It was smaller than expected, but still delicious. The texture of the chicken was unique to me. Next, I had the local chicken tempura, which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was served with salt and matcha salt, which was a nice touch. The torisuki solid fuel dish was also interesting and enjoyable to watch being cooked. The sweet sauce and egg combination was perfect. This restaurant has a wide selection of drinks that pair well with the food. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I entered a narrow alley and found a cozy restaurant with a good atmosphere. The counter didn't have a special feel, but it seems affordable and easy to visit. The fried chicken and liver were delicious. The cute staff was working hard, and the handsome owner was there too. Thank you for the meal!

I messed up a bit from the first glass, it's not good to bring out a failed product to serve to customers. I can tolerate the foam being half, but this is too much, it's like it's deflated. How many times did they pour this? At least not in one go, maybe like 4 times? I drank half and it was still bad, so I asked for a replacement. I'm picky about beer, but I've never asked for a replacement before. We're in Asahikawa, there are two of us. I wanted to use the voucher I bought before, and my wife was aiming for GOTO Eat. I thought I could use both, but turns out you can't use them together. My voucher is the GO TO Eat Hokkaido Meal Voucher, so the first place we went to was a GO TO Eat restaurant. The second place and onwards, we'll use the vouchers because it's a hassle to make reservations. The first place was "Chicken and Sake Buchi," we made a reservation online. It's a nice place, the counter is smoking allowed, not my taste but "counter is fine" said my wife. And then, the problem beer with half foam arrived. I thought I could tolerate it since it happens sometimes, but why? I was surprised they served such bad beer. I said, "Please replace it!" This kind of beer is undrinkable. Did they stir it properly? My wife thought she was told to replace it and said, "Don't drink it! They'll replace it." By the time she said that, there was hardly any left. "This beer is really bad," I said while my wife can drink it without a problem. I don't want to become a grumpy old man who just complains. The second glass was with a fragrant ale, it's the worst I've ever had. But the third glass came in a chilled glass, why? Why is there such a difference? The charcoal-grilled Awaodori chicken has a good chew and taste. Even the yuzu pepper that I usually complain about is good. I wonder if the first beer was poured by the waitress? I told the person who brought the second glass, "Don't bring out failed products!" but they didn't understand it well. Since then, they were cold towards me. Being cold is fine, I don't have a problem with that. After all, in this kind of restaurant that exudes a sense of luxury, the person who doesn't drink beer shouldn't pour beer. Just because you pour it, doesn't mean everyone will be happy. At least, you have to teach them. The cream cheese and firefly squid salted fish roe were appetizers before the chicken arrived. Both were decent. The bill was 5600 yen, I don't know about the beer cost.

This is a rare restaurant in Asahikawa where you can enjoy local chicken dishes. The atmosphere inside, with jazz music playing, is nice with counter seats, table seats, and many private rooms. I sat at the counter and ordered "The Premium Malt's Aroma Ale" (550 yen, excluding tax) as my first drink. The appetizer was "Chicken Gizzard with Ponzu Sauce". The appetizer was also a chicken dish, with a crunchy texture that was delicious! Here, you can enjoy Hinai-jidori sashimi, which is prepared from fresh and safely processed chicken. The chicken sashimi is served after being frozen and thawed to achieve a tender texture. I ordered the "Chicken Breast Sashimi" (650 yen). It had a smooth texture and melted in my mouth. It had a very mild flavor, very enjoyable! The sauce used, "Satsuma Soy Sauce", is a black sugar soy sauce sourced from a soy sauce shop in Kyushu, adding sweetness and enhancing the flavor of the chicken sashimi. For my second drink, I felt like having wine with the delicious chicken dishes, so I ordered "Carlo Rossi (Red)" (450 yen). The local chicken grill is also popular, so I ordered the "Awaodori Chicken Grill" (1,000 yen). You can choose from salt-grilled, black pepper-grilled, Hokkaido Raclette cheese-grilled, and teriyaki-grilled, and I chose the "Hokkaido Raclette cheese-grilled". It had a soft and fluffy texture. The Raclette cheese used was from a famous brand in Tokachi, giving it a deliciously fragrant taste that paired well with the chicken grill. I thought about getting a wine refill, but they have a special alcohol made for chicken dishes. So, I decided to try it. I ordered the "Asamayama Junmai Hinotori" (600 yen). It was a light sake that complemented the chicken dishes well. Lastly, I felt like having some rice dish. I wanted to end with chicken meat, so I ordered the "Oyakodon" (600 yen). The tender chicken meat and sauce soaked into the rice were delicious! The owner is still young but gained experience at a Japanese restaurant in the city before opening this place. We had a chat, and it turned out we had a mutual acquaintance, which made the conversation lively. Despite being young, the owner is very attentive, and I had a great time!

Today is World Health Day and Self-Care Day. It's really important for each individual to take care of themselves, otherwise we won't see the end of this pandemic. So, I made sure to take precautions before going out. It's a new restaurant. Actually, this parking lot in front of me is a time-limited parking lot, and I often park here, but the restaurant is right next to it. It feels like the entrance is right next to the parking lot, so everyone who parks here will see it. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, which do you like? Today, let's see where this restaurant ranks. If it looks delicious, please click the "↓" button! Chicken dishes are the main focus, but there are also various other options. The menu has a variety of side dishes. However, there weren't many people who didn't like chicken dishes in the past... Oh, now that I think about it, there were about two people who didn't like chicken. The restaurant's name has "chicken and alcohol" in it, so there is a wide variety of alcohol available. For those who like sake, there are many options, so it might be interesting. If I didn't have to drive, I would have liked to try various drinks. I like sake more than beer or highballs, especially with oolong tea. On this day, I had oolong tea. The appetizer came out. It was well-prepared, which was nice. Chicken skin ponzu had a firm texture to the chicken skin. The skin had a good chewiness to it. Probably because it's fresh... Is the ponzu sauce homemade? It wasn't too sour, and had a refreshing taste. There are various types and cuts of chicken sashimi. This time, I chose the chicken breast. I always think that chicken breast sashimi is the best. But... even if you like chicken dishes, there are probably many people who don't like raw chicken. It was served slightly seared on the surface. The soy sauce used was a sashimi soy sauce from Kyushu, so it had a sweetness to it. It paired really well with the chicken sashimi. When you put it in your mouth, it had a sticky feeling. Nowadays, it's a bit disappointing that it was slightly seared. But chicken sashimi is really delicious. I like it. Chicken tempura was a bit different from the tempura you would find at a tempura restaurant. It felt more like Kyushu-style tempura. The texture of the batter was slightly different. There were two types of salt, white salt and matcha salt. I squeezed some lemon on it and enjoyed it. Delicious. It was juicy and didn't have the unique smell of chicken, unlike fried chicken. Chicken cartilage tempura is often seen at yakitori restaurants. It's the cartilage of the chicken. It's the soft bone at the tip of the breastbone that supports the muscles used to move the wings. This soft bone is called "yagen cartilage." You can enjoy a crunchy texture. Among them, this one felt soft. Grilled chicken, Awaodori chicken, black pepper grilled chicken, there were two types of chicken to choose from. I chose salt or black pepper, and went with this one. I thought it would be completely blackened like in Kyushu, but it was presented like this. On a hot plate, slightly burnt, with sliced onions and yuzu pepper. If it had been presented as a whole piece, it might have had more impact. The yuzu pepper went really well with it. Chicken fried rice The plate looks really fancy. Sometimes, drinks come in containers like this, right? And, the white plate ==========

A recommendation from a friend with a discerning palate. The restaurant has a clean and elegant atmosphere. The service is average. The chicken sashimi is unique and delicious, with a refreshing taste and rich flavor. Unfortunately, some items like liver were sold out. They have a good selection of sake that pairs well with the chicken dishes. Overall, you can enjoy tasty and healthy chicken dishes here. It's a rare treat to indulge without feeling guilty. Just be careful not to drink too much sake that complements the food well.

This day was a Wednesday. Mr. Yama was closed, so I contacted the owner to see if he would accompany me for a beer. He agreed without any problem. I had some business in Otaru and arrived in Asahikawa, leaving the hotel after 8:00 PM (I'm sorry for being late). I met up with the owner and we went to this place he had been curious about called "Chicken and Sake". We were guided to a sunken kotatsu table and offered a 90-minute all-you-can-drink deal for ¥2,000 with Premium Malt beer. We were served octopus with wasabi as a starter. We toasted to the new year with the owner and ordered some food. ・Local chicken sashimi three-point platter for ¥2,000 (thigh, breast, tenderloin) - The breast and tenderloin were light and delicious. The thigh had a rich flavor from the fatty parts. ・Chicken skin with ponzu sauce for ¥500 (ordered by the owner) - This also paired well with the beer. ・Grilled chicken - Charcoal-grilled Hichinai chicken with salt for ¥1,500 - There were no skewers, but the grilled chicken was delicious. The owner mentioned that Hichinai chicken has a good texture when grilled. It was just the owner and me, two men, enjoying eating and drinking for a solid 90 minutes. We usually only interact across the counter, so our relationship is strictly that of owner and customer. It was enjoyable to be able to drink and have a conversation as friends for the first time in a while. Then, as usual, we went to Sanroku. We bar-hopped until 2:00 AM. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I visited a newly opened restaurant on October 30, 2019. The location is on the 1st floor of the TOEI Building, next to a place called "BANK." The entrance is not at the elevator but along the side of "BANK." It has a cozy, hidden feel. I like sitting at the counter, and when I requested it, the staff were considerate and accommodating. I tried the Asama Mountain Junmai Hino Tori sake, which is a dry sake that pairs well with chicken. The smoked chicken and cabbage appetizer had a nice smoky flavor. I also tried the Hichinai Jidori sashimi, which was slightly frozen but tasted good with Kyushu soy sauce. I had another sake, the Taisho no Tsuru Rising, which had a slightly spicy and unique taste. The Awa Oidori charcoal-grilled salt dish had a firm texture and was slightly salty but delicious. The restaurant offered about 25 types of sake and 10 types of sweet potato shochu. Despite some operational issues due to being a new restaurant, I enjoyed the chicken dishes and would consider coming back in the future.

This is a restaurant located in the heart of the bustling downtown area of Asahikawa City. The location is convenient and the specialty of the restaurant is Hichinai Jidori and Awaodori chicken. We tried both types of chicken and they were both delicious with a firm texture and rich flavor. The variety of Japanese sake available is also excellent. I would like to continue using this restaurant in the future.
