We enjoyed yakiniku in the town center of Kutchan, about a 15-minute taxi ride from our hotel. The restaurant had private rooms, so we could enjoy our meal without seeing other customers. They were very thorough with using tongs for serving, making us feel safe dining during the pandemic. The menu had a variety of options including horumon, meat, rice dishes, cold noodles, and soups. The meat selection included beef, chicken, and pork, all fresh and with a firm texture. Each slice was thick, allowing us to savor each piece. The three types of sauces, especially the miso sauce, were delicious. The herbal soup we had at the end was a secret recipe of the restaurant, rich in nutrients like Korean ginseng and garlic. It was a tasty way to end the meal. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience. Thank you very much.

On the second day of the Otaru expedition, my friend took me to a day trip hot spring in Niseko. We drove for about an hour and a half from Otaru to Niseko, a town at the foot of Mount Yotei, known as Ezo Fuji. When we arrived at the parking lot of the day trip hot spring, a strong sulfur smell greeted us, signaling that we had arrived at the hot spring. After paying the fee at the front desk and receiving a numbered ticket (#10 for me), we found out that they were limiting the number of people entering at a time due to COVID-19 precautions. Luckily, there were only two other people besides us in the hot spring, so we were able to relax and enjoy the indoor and outdoor baths. The natural scenery from the outdoor bath was breathtaking, and the mud bath was a unique experience. After relaxing in the hot spring, we headed to a yakiniku restaurant called Dainimon in Kutchan town for lunch. I requested to have Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) for lunch, and my friend kindly took me there. The grilled lamb was delicious and tender, with two types available - marinated in sauce and non-marinated. Although the portion size was a bit small for men, the quality of the lamb made up for it. The restaurant staff were friendly and provided great service, making our lunch experience enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

We used it for a company drinking party. It had a reputation for being inferior to the affiliated stores, but that was not the case at all.
