I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. When I come to Lazona Kawasaki, the restaurants inside are usually very crowded, so this nearby place has become one of my favorites. This time, I first ordered "Lomo Saltado," a traditional Peruvian dish. It's a stir-fry with beef, vegetables, and potatoes. I think the seasoning suits Japanese tastes! Next, I ordered "Minestrone," which I tried for the first time. It’s a soup with basil, oxtail, and vegetables. It’s very easy to drink! I thought of it as a light finish to my meal, but it also had macaroni in it, making it quite filling (laughs). It was almost the size of a main dish! There are still many dishes I haven't tried yet, so I'll definitely come back.

I went to enjoy Peruvian cuisine, one of the world's three great cuisines, and chose beef fried rice from the lunch menu. The drink that came with it was a juice made from purple corn and cinnamon, and I also added a baked pudding for dessert. The dish had some unfamiliar spices, but they were delicious, and I enjoyed it without any odd taste. The beef was in large chunks, which allowed me to really savor the meat. The drink had a flavor reminiscent of shiso juice, but it was also very tasty.

I visited a Peruvian restaurant that I had been curious about. I tried the most popular dish, Lomo Saltado, which features rice and potatoes stir-fried with onions, tomatoes, and beef, seasoned with a sauce that's soy-based and has a bit of a Japanese flavor. It felt a little strong in taste, but it was delicious and not too peculiar. The soup was neither good nor bad, but I thought it would have been nice to have a salad as well. The food was prepared quickly after I ordered, so it might be a good option for those in a hurry (though it might have been because it was a late hour and the restaurant was not busy).

The drink selection for the all-you-can-drink option was vast, featuring many options including Inca Kola, a drink that's typical of Peru. Choosing drinks was a lot of fun! You can order drinks via a QR code, so make sure not to forget to charge your smartphone. This time, we enjoyed a course meal, and every dish was delicious. The two hours went by in a flash.

I learned about this restaurant from a Peruvian two years ago, and I finally had the chance to visit. Every dish looked delicious, but as a vegetarian, I was a bit disappointed by the limited options. However, the sauce that was on the vegetables and eggs was incredibly tasty. I feel like it could go well with anything. Thank you for the meal!

Today I went on a date with my partner. They suggested going to a Peruvian restaurant, which I remembered they had mentioned wanting to visit before. Interestingly, decades ago, I ended up living near Kawasaki Station due to work—it's an area I’ve always wanted to explore. I had heard that it was delicious, but for some reason, I felt hesitant and never went in. My partner actually said they had been there before. Well, I didn't know that! So, with a mix of excitement and nerves, we charged into the restaurant right when it opened. They used a QR code ordering system, and I tried to order a regular beer, but my partner convinced me to try a Peruvian beer instead. Chatting easily, I complied. When it arrived, I took a sip and was surprised by its rich, deep flavor, which offered more body than bitterness. I realized there are many different types of beer! For the food, I went with my gut and made selections. We ordered dishes with potatoes, honeycomb tripe, and chicken, which they served up quickly. The potatoes were incredibly delicious, possibly thanks to their origin. The honeycomb tripe had a surprisingly soft texture paired with a well-balanced, slightly indulgent seasoning that really hooked me. And the chicken had a rich, hearty bite—this is what great meat should taste like! Overall, the quality of the food was outstanding, and I left feeling stuffed. It would definitely be better to come with a larger group to try more dishes. I’d love to recruit some friends and come back! We'll definitely return!

The first Peruvian restaurant in Japan, Alcoiris, is a place where you can't go wrong with any dish. Whenever I'm in Kawasaki, my feet automatically lead me there. The interior of the restaurant is full of Peruvian vibes, making you feel like you're traveling. Last time, I enjoyed a draft beer and a small ceviche, which had just the right amount of lemon to perfectly highlight the octopus, squid, and sea bream—absolutely delicious! This time, I tried the cau-cau, a hearty stew of tripe and potatoes, bursting with the fragrant aroma of cilantro, making it impossible to stop eating! Even though the portions are large, I finished it all with ease. Alcoiris's aji (spicy sauce) has a nice creamy texture with just the right kick, so I always generously drizzle it over my food. While the classics like lomo saltado and aji de gallina are delicious, I prefer to order dishes that truly reflect Peruvian home cooking when I visit. Try the sopa a la minuta, mondongo a la italiana, or tayelinas verdes to experience a taste of home-cooked Peruvian meals—they’re so comforting! (The dishes you order match the photos on the menu, with no disappointment in portion size or quality.) This humble restaurant has been run by the same family for many years, but now they’ve adopted mobile ordering, which makes you feel the passage of time. How about trying papa huancaina along with your meal?

I enjoyed ceviche, lomo saltado, taro fries, and mussels as appetizers, along with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious. We also ordered some Peruvian beer and red and white wine by the bottle, which came to about 5000 yen for one person. I would like to visit again.

This is a Peruvian restaurant that can be reserved for private use for groups of 30 or more, so we took advantage of that. They were very flexible and accommodating with last-minute changes, which was really helpful. The staff members were very kind. There was a wide variety of drinks available for the all-you-can-drink option, including different types of beer, and I tried Peruvian beer for the first time.

At lunch time, I visited the restaurant with a companion. I had CARNE GUISADA, a beef and potato stew. It had a gentle flavor with a hint of spices. The soup that came with it also had a mild taste. Since this restaurant offers Peruvian cuisine that I've never experienced before, it's a rare find. Today, there were also a few local customers, and I could hear some Spanish, creating a bit of a Peruvian atmosphere. It seems to be an authentic place. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.

I visited a restaurant in Kawasaki during a business trip for lunch. When I arrived around 12:30 PM, there was one person waiting outside, so I decided to wait as well. After about five minutes, I was seated inside. I heard that the Lomo Saltado is popular on the lunch menu, so I ordered that. Lomo Saltado is a dish made of stir-fried beef and potatoes served with rice on a single plate. When I combined the beef with the rice, I found the flavor to be just the right amount of saltiness, and it was delicious. The meal also came with a soup and an iced coffee. The soup was not very impressive, but at 900 yen, I think it's a reasonably priced place.

I want to enjoy a quick lunch that is also fun. In Kawasaki, where there are many Chinese and ramen options, I found a place offering a variety of international cuisine: Estafard de Poyo. They serve chicken stew, which seems to be tailored for Japanese tastes, and it's delicious. It's not too rich or greasy. The rice comes as part of a platter, and it's nice that it includes soup as well. The portion of rice is reasonable, so you might want to order less if you prefer.

I wanted to eat Peruvian cuisine! This place serves lunch even on weekends, but since I planned to hop around, I decided to order à la carte. ■ Papa a la Huancaína (half) - 580 yen Potatoes topped with a creamy sauce. ■ Anticuchos (half) - 630 yen Grilled beef heart. The spices are incredibly delicious! It might be the same as what I had in Yokosuka. ■ Papa Rellena - 830 yen This is a beef croquette, but it's different from what I usually have since the filling isn't mixed in. It resembles a Scotch egg! My friend joined me, so I ordered more!! I had a drink that was like a sour version of Inca Cola, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. ■ Ceviche This is a standard version. There was quite a lot of it, and the seafood pieces were big and filling. ■ Sopa Seca A soup with ginger, ground meat, and noodles. It was incredibly tasty! The noodles fit right in, and I didn’t find it odd at all! Overall, Peruvian cuisine really suits my taste! I’ll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Potatoes and meat. It didn't seem like such an unusual combination, and then I realized that the flavor is likely based on soy sauce brought in by the Japanese. It seems to be a flavor that pairs well with Japanese tastes. I've also read that the staple food in Peru is rice, so perhaps I'll try a rice dish next time.

I had Peruvian food for the first time! Peru is famously a country of gourmet cuisine. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very homey. Note: If you're looking for rich, strong flavors or super spicy dishes, this might not be what you expect. There were either local Peruvians or people speaking languages other than Japanese around us (this may vary depending on the time of day or season). As for the meat dishes, the beef stir-fried with potatoes tasted like it was cooked on a BBQ grill! (Just my personal opinion) It was delicious ^ ^ The chicken stir-fried with yellow pepper was not too spicy and was very easy to eat—good! (It's different from the typical curry image.) There was also a sauce included that you can use to adjust the spiciness to your liking! I would love to visit this restaurant again during dinner time!

I had a meal at a hidden gem in Kawasaki called Arco Iris with a group of five for a drinking party. The drink menu is quite extensive! There are various types of beer, and there was a taste guide that made it easy to choose. The food portions are also quite generous! I was curious about the taste of Peruvian cuisine, and it turns out it really caters to Japanese palates. I think anyone can enjoy the food regardless of their preferences.

I love Peruvian cuisine, especially dishes like Papa a la Huancaína and ceviche. It's great that they offer smaller portions, which is helpful when dining with just a few people. I chose the regular size. My friend, who is a foreigner, was trying Peruvian food for the first time, and I was a bit worried about whether they would like it, but they said it was delicious! It seems that Peruvian food is universally loved! It was a wonderful restaurant!

There is a Peruvian restaurant near Kawasaki Station's Lazona and Muza. It’s not modern Peruvian cuisine, but it’s a great place with affordable prices, delicious food, and generous portions. When I lived near Kawasaki Station, I often visited it for dinner, and this time I came back after a while. For lunch on weekdays, they offer six different options, all including soup and iced coffee for a price of just 900 yen. The office workers nearby must feel lucky! I ordered the Carne Guisada for 900 yen, asking for a smaller portion of rice. It’s a simple stew with well-seasoned beef, flavored with paprika, and primarily consists of beef and potatoes. The flavor is slightly rich, making it perfect to pair with rice. All the dishes here have a nostalgic and approachable taste, and I think it would be amazing to have a place like this nearby for everyday dining. The restaurant isn’t new, so the exterior reflects the bustling Kawasaki vibe, but the interior seems to be regularly updated, with a bright and clean atmosphere. The displays and layout have also been refreshed. There is now an adorable alpaca at the register that seems to be inviting you to buy cookies or empanadas, wearing a cute expression (*´∀`*).

I visited the Alcoyris restaurant in Kawasaki for a social gathering. Alcoyris is a popular Peruvian restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kawasaki Station. Peru, in South America, is renowned as a culinary paradise and has won the "World's Best Cuisine" category at the prestigious World Travel Awards for seven consecutive years. Peruvian cuisine is influenced by immigrants from various countries, including Europe, Africa, China, and Japan, and has developed a unique food culture that blends diverse elements. In the Andes region, dishes often feature corn and potatoes, while seafood is commonly used in Lima's cuisine. Some representative dishes include "ceviche," a marinated fish dish, and "aji de gallina," which uses chicken and chili. The course I enjoyed at Alcoyris consisted of five dishes: Papa a la Huancaina (potatoes with Peruvian cheese sauce), ceviche (marinated seafood and vegetables in lemon sauce), Pollo a la Brasa (roast chicken), Lomo Saltado (stir-fried beef and vegetables), and Chaufa de Mariscos (seafood fried rice). All the dishes were delicious.

Today, I ventured into a Peruvian restaurant filled with exotic charm. I’ve heard that Peru is known as a country of gourmet food. During lunchtime, it seemed quite popular, bustling with salarymen, office workers, and locals. The chicken in yellow pepper sauce initially looked like a curry, but it had a gentle flavor with potatoes mixed in! It definitely didn’t feel like Mexican cuisine. I would love to go back!

It has been about 25 years since I last visited, and I'm glad to be back. The interior of the restaurant hasn't changed much, and I enjoyed my favorite dishes, ceviche and ají de gallina. Even though it was a weekday night, the place was quite busy, which made me realize that it is still a popular spot.
