I had some business in Minamimorimachi in the early afternoon, so I decided to search for a ramen shop and came across this place by chance. What caught my attention was the words "chicken & yuzu & salt," which I love. The shop seemed to specialize in chicken salt ramen, as this menu item was highlighted, and it mentioned that the soup would be ready by 12:30. While most other customers were ordering the mixed noodles, I decided to go with the chicken yuzu salt ramen. The result was an incredibly well-balanced dish. Unlike other places where the soup might have a strong saltiness or the yuzu flavor could be overpowering, or the noodles might lack character, this shop managed to blend all these elements seamlessly, creating a harmonious overall taste. The whole wheat flat noodles were particularly memorable, with a perfect chewy texture that wasn't too firm but had a nice bite. The soup was not overly salty, with just a hint of yuzu fragrance, creating a gentle and comforting flavor reminiscent of Japanese cuisine. The thick-cut fatty char siu and thinly sliced rare char siu each brought out their own unique flavors. The rare char siu was tender and juicy, allowing you to savor the meat's richness with each bite. The char siu was placed on the edge of the bowl, preventing it from overcooking, so you could enjoy its rareness until the last bite. The fatty char siu, on the other hand, became tender from soaking in the soup, enhancing the meat's savory taste. The seasoned egg was slightly runny but not enough to cloud the clear soup, allowing you to enjoy the creamy egg flavor. The bamboo shoots were soft and cooked just right, providing a chewy texture to enjoy. It was interesting to see the green onions cut into separate pieces at the root and tip, the soup served at the perfect temperature, and a salad with minced meat included, showing attention to detail throughout the meal. I would definitely go back if I have the chance. It was a great restaurant.

Osaka Business Trip Noodles 2/5
Just one more bowl before heading to the courthouse! The city is great, full of ramen shops everywhere! Luckily, I found a counter seat without having to wait in line. I chose chicken yuzu salt ramen this time, after having soy sauce earlier. The broth is rich in chicken flavor, with a nice touch of yuzu to balance it out. The noodles are slightly thicker and curly, with a hint of whole wheat maybe? You can feel the attention to detail. The toppings include two slices of chashu, one firm and one tender, both with a bit of sauce on them. Half a seasoned egg and a little bit of bamboo shoots as well. The service staff in the dining hall seems to be the female owner, creating a great atmosphere that's hard to describe. Nice!

While working in Minamimori Town, I decided to have lunch at a ramen shop nearby the station. The exterior of the shop looked appetizing, and inside there were only a few customers since it was just before noon. I checked the reviews and the shoyu ramen with dried fish flakes seemed delicious. The ramen came with two types of chashu and looked great! The shop was run by a middle-aged man and a woman. I ordered the "Yuzu Dried Fish Shoyu Ramen" and the "Miso Pork Bowl". It took a bit of time for the food to arrive, but when it did, it was worth the wait. I'm not sure if it's just for lunch, but the side salad was a nice touch. The soup had a rich dried fish flavor, the noodles were whole grain, and the chashu came with a seasoned egg. The menma was also tasty. The miso pork bowl had chashu marinated in miso sauce, pickled mustard greens, and optional chili oil on the side, all at a reasonable price. Overall, it was a delicious ramen that I can recommend. I'm curious about their mazesoba, so I will definitely come back again!

I tried to visit the shop a few times, but it was closed. When I peeked in on a weekday night around 6:30 pm, there were no other customers. Since it was my first time, I ordered the dried fish soy sauce ramen. They don't offer a large portion, so I was a bit worried as I was quite hungry. The soup had a very refined taste. The three types of chashu were very delicious and had a generous portion. By the time I finished eating, I was quite satisfied, but I still wished for a larger portion. The four groups of customers who came after me all ordered the mixed ramen. Next time, I will definitely try that. Thank you for the meal!

This shop is located just off the intersection in Minamimori-cho, with a somewhat aged exterior that may make it a bit intimidating to enter. The menu offers only 3 types of ramen (dried fish soy sauce, yuzu dried fish soy sauce, chicken yuzu salt) and 4 slightly spicy mixed noodles, with no options for extra servings or add-ons. I ordered the yuzu salt soy sauce ramen and miso pork bowl. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. First, the soup - as soon as I tasted it, it was delicious. The sweet and spicy soy sauce base followed by a refreshing yuzu flavor. The soup was so good that I wanted to carry it around in a water bottle. The noodles were also amazing. They were slightly chewy with a hint of whole wheat texture, which I loved as a fan of flat noodles. The two slices of rare chashu and two slices of roasted pork on top were also flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed them with the seasoned egg. This place is definitely worth visiting again! I will be a repeat customer!

During work, I was torn between having ramen for lunch or tsukemen, but I was in the mood for something spicy and hearty so I went with the tsukemen. Since I can't handle too much chashu, I ordered a side of rice (laughs). I just love the combination of rice and chashu too much... With the complimentary small rice and salad, the meal cost 1100 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

As soon as you exit the number 1 exit of Minamisenncho Station. There are 4 types of ramen available: - Niboshi Shoyu Ramen - Yuzu Niboshi Shoyu Ramen - Chicken Yuzu Salt Ramen - Maze Soba Until February 2021, there was a Chicken Tonkotsu Ramen, but it seems to have been replaced by Chicken Yuzu Salt Ramen. I ordered the Yuzu Niboshi Shoyu Ramen. You cannot get a large serving or extra noodles, and the only topping available is green onions for 100 yen, but the ramen comes with 4 slices of chashu and half a flavored egg. First, the soup. The yuzu and niboshi flavors are not overpowering, creating a gentle yet robust soy sauce soup. The noodles are thin, flat whole wheat noodles. The noodles themselves are delicious and have a good balance with the soup. The chashu consists of one thick and one thin slice of pork belly, as well as two large slices of rare chashu. All of them are excellent. About halfway through the meal, a mini salad was served. It would be better to have it before the ramen to help control blood sugar levels. I enjoyed the ramen very much, especially the noodles. It would be even better if they offered a larger serving or extra noodles. I would definitely consider revisiting this place.

On Friday at 8:00 PM, I went to "Menya Funabashi" in Minamimorimachi. It's my favorite restaurant in this area and I've been here many times. I ordered the "Yuzu Niboshi Shoyu Ramen (950 yen)". It arrived in 7 minutes. With the first bite, it was delicious. Just as tasty as I remembered. I skipped lunch that day, so the soup soaked through every corner of my body. The niboshi flavor is not too strong, and the scent of yuzu is solid. It's the perfect taste. I was happy to see two types of chashu, one with fatty meat and one rare. The menma and half-boiled egg were also a nice touch. The whole wheat flat noodles were new and interesting. A salad arrived a bit late. I might try the spicy "Mazesoba (1,100 yen)" next time. Thank you for the meal.

I was finally able to visit Funabashi-san in Minamisono-cho! It seemed like they were rarely open, and not having a phone number is a food blogger's worst enemy! (bitter smile) I had the Yuzu Shoyu Ramen, which had a refreshing yet delicious soup with a strong flavor of dried bonito. The noodles here are flat and delicious! I also love the color of the noodles. All the toppings were delicious as well, so it's definitely a great place to eat. My partner had the Spicy Mazesoba, which was amazing. I think I'll go for that next time! I'm impressed - it's a great restaurant! Thank you for the meal~

Chicken Yuzu Salt Ramen 980 yen. I visited around 11:30 on a weekday and was surprised to see no line, so I could enter right away! I debated whether to order rice since they don't offer extra noodles, but I resisted the temptation. After a short wait, the ramen arrived, with a clear salt broth that was even better than I had imagined. The soup had a strong chicken flavor with a punch and richness that exceeded its appearance, but the refreshing scent of yuzu wrapped it up nicely, making it easy to drink and a highly satisfying soup. The noodles were medium-thick whole wheat noodles with a good chew, which I really liked. They paired perfectly with the soup, but it was a shame that there were no options for extra noodles or toppings. The toppings included two slices of rare chashu, two thick slices of pork chashu, half a boiled egg, menma, and green onions, making it quite luxurious by default. The rare chashu was delicious, but the pork chashu was so amazingly tasty that I felt like it could be a great accompaniment to sake! Although it wasn't mentioned anywhere, a salad was served later, which was a subtle but nice touch for those needing more vegetables. I didn't eat the rice, so I managed to finish the soup to the last drop with a bit of energy left. I was completely satisfied.

Headed to "Menya Funabashi" in Kita-ku, Osaka. It is located just a short walk from Exit 1 of Minami-Morimachi Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line. The nearby coin parking costs 330 yen for 20 minutes. The evening hours are quite short, from 6:00 pm to 7:40 pm (last order). Arrived a bit rushed and just made it in time for the last order. The interior has a DIY feel with a straight counter seating for 4 and two 4-person table seats. There was only one other customer. Each table had a pot of mild barley tea, which was a nice touch. Ordered the "Shoyu Ramen with Niboshi" for 950 yen and the "Miso Pork Bowl" for 250 yen. The bowl was generously filled with meat, and a salad was included, which was a welcome addition for those lacking fiber. The soup had a delicate balance of bitter niboshi and gentle chicken flavors. It was a light brown color, not too salty or sour, with a solid soy sauce base. The thin whole wheat noodles were slightly chewy and springy. The pork shoulder slices were tender and had a hint of a grilled meat marinade flavor. Other toppings included fragrant menma, half a seasoned egg, white and green onions. After finishing the salad with minced pork and sesame dressing, moved on to the miso pork bowl. The pork was incredibly tender and well-seasoned with miso, sesame, and green onions, making it a perfect match with the rice. The chili oil on the side added a nice kick. Initially thought 950 yen was a bit pricey, but considering the two types of pork, half egg, and salad included, it seemed quite reasonable. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Chicken yuzu salt ramen is consistently delicious. The whole wheat noodles, rich chicken broth, and rare chashu made for a satisfying lunch. I haven't had their mixed noodles in a while, so I definitely want to try it next time. Thank you for the meal.

It was my first visit to Funabashi-san, about a 3-minute walk from Minamisonocho Station! Normally a tonkotsu ramen fan, trying a soy sauce-based ramen felt like a distant memory haha. The broth was light yet flavorful, and the chashu, menma, and condiments all paired well with the smooth noodles. I will definitely be coming back for more! ♫

Ordered item... Chicken yuzu salt ramen for 980 yen
The dish... It was written that it will be ready around 12:30. Topped with chashu, egg, and green onions. The salt soup is easy to drink and delicious. Personally, the noodles are a bit too crispy and not round, which is a downside. Maybe it's because of the whole wheat. Overall, it's neither bad nor good. The thin chashu is tasty, but the thick chashu with a lot of fat is not preferred.

I visited the restaurant around 2 pm while on a business trip. I was seated immediately and ordered the salt chicken paitan ramen. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes. I started with the soup, which was delicious! The noodles seemed to be whole wheat, with a nice color and great taste. Overall, it was incredibly delicious. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!

The ramen shop in Minamimorimachi seems to be loved by the locals. The shop is located just a 1-minute walk from Minamimorimachi Station, making it very convenient to access. A friendly lady greeted us at the entrance. The interior was clean and had a bright atmosphere, probably run by a husband and wife. The lady who took our order was friendly and made us feel comfortable. I ordered the boiled fish ramen. The soup had a nice flavor of boiled fish and was easy to drink. The noodles were reasonably thick and had a good texture. There were two types of chashu, thin slices and thick ones. Both were delicious, but the thick chashu had a satisfying taste. The half-boiled egg was excellent, especially when eaten with the soup. Payment is cash only, so be aware that cards are not accepted. Around 12:30, a line of people waiting outside the shop started to form, showing its popularity. Many people seem to come during their work breaks. The shop has counter seats and table seats, but during busy times, you may have to wait a bit. Overall, this shop offers delicious ramen in a cozy atmosphere, which explains why it has many repeat customers. If you ever find yourself in Minamimorimachi, be sure to stop by.

I went to Funehashi, a noodle shop behind the police box at Minamimorimachi Station on the Osaka Tanimachi Line after a long time. I had the boiled dried sardine soy sauce ramen for 950 yen. The soup was very clear and delicious. The thinly sliced chashu was easy to eat. It came with green onions and bamboo shoots. The noodles were unique, with a texture similar to soba noodles, and suited my taste. Thank you for the meal.

After 12:30, I ordered the Yuzu Chicken Salt ramen, which I usually opt for the mixed soba. The broth had a subtle yuzu flavor with a perfect viscosity, topped with two types of generous chashu and half a boiled egg. The combination was well-balanced, offering a variety of flavors until the last bite. This restaurant keeps getting better and it seems like the owner's research is paying off.

Maze-soba is a must-try at this restaurant. I used to only eat soup noodles, but after trying the maze-soba here, I found myself drawn to this genre. I tried maze-soba at several other places, but I realized that it wasn't the genre that I liked, but rather the unique maze-soba from Funabashi. The taste changes as you mix and eat it, rather than becoming uniform. The generous serving of high-quality chashu on top is also a great addition. I enjoy mixing the leftover soba with the crunchy cabbage and rich sauce to create a new dish. Don't forget to try the complimentary rice and mini salad at the end. I like to mix the salad in as well. Everyone, please try it out.

It's been a while since I last visited. I usually go for the mixed noodles, but today I ordered the chicken yuzu salt ramen. I rarely come across a soup that has such a strong chicken flavor. It's similar to the main soup in a chicken hot pot. It's highly addictive and once you try it, you'll be hooked. I wonder if I should get this again next time... Thank you for the meal.

I visited during lunchtime. There were 6 people ahead of me, so I had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. They have individual table seats, so the turnover rate is slow. I think they should consider sharing tables. I ordered the Chicken Yuzu Salt Ramen, which is available from 12:30. It was light and easy to eat, but it didn't leave a strong impression.
