*For solo diners*
Lately, I know I don't have to say this every time, but being the only one among groups of two or three (followed by many solo diners later, haha) makes me think. Instead of saying "easy for solo diners to enter," I wish there was a way to display reviews specifically for solo diners. With that improvement request in mind, I'll write my review. I was looking forward to the pistachio dessert assortment (1,690 yen). It's quite pricey, considering there's no set menu. Unlike parfaits where you might not need a drink, I think this dessert plate should come with a coffee/tea set. But it doesn't, so each item is counted separately. Starting from the center and going clockwise (all pistachio): soft-serve ice cream, cheesecake, fermented butter sandwich (lemon), macaron, chocolate truffle, Hokkaido strawberry daifuku, pudding, and a roll cake in the center. The portion is quite large. I went after having lunch, so I started feeling full around halfway through. But I couldn't leave any behind. I'm not a fan of chocolate truffles, so I washed it down with coffee (bitter smile), but the rest was delicious. However, the quantity was overwhelming, and I felt quite stuffed, like in a showdown between a bear and a minced meat cutlet. "Can you handle me?" it seemed to be asking, but I couldn't give up! I faced the challenge with determination. The boy next to me, who came after and ordered the same thing, quickly caught up and passed me, leaving me behind. Youth is amazing. So, I think it's best to go on an empty stomach to enjoy this dessert plate. I'll give it another try next month for a solo New Year's party. It was delicious, thank you.
