"Ramen Fuji" I came to Tokachi today and made notes of the shops in Ono, Memuro, Obihiro, and Makubetsu. I actually came last week as well, but ended up coming again. Last week, I wrote a lot of notes about the shops in Obihiro, but unexpectedly found out that they were having a Tokachi Marche, so I ended up spending a lot of time there and messed up my schedule. So, most of the shops are still on my list. I decided to visit while the enthusiasm was still there.
For lunch, I decided to go for ramen, but I will have it in Ono instead of Obihiro, hoping it will be decent. I had thought I would never come back to the Ono Michi-no-Eki, as everything there is expensive. However, I saw a review later that said the ramen was not satisfying, so I wasn't really keen on going to the ramen shop there.
The place was crowded with cars, but the food court wasn't that busy. Maybe it was still early? I ordered the "salt ramen" for 750 yen. Well, it's not that expensive for a Michi-no-Eki. I can't really give it a proper evaluation here.
First, please serve something that looks like the photo. I was handed a buzzer. I don't like that. But it's a food court, so I guess it can't be helped.
Is it a group? A large group has arrived. It took about 7 minutes. It's not something to shout about that it doesn't look like the photo, but it's a ramen from the food court. The noodles are thick, not Tokachi style, and I don't like thick noodles, but I don't mind chewy noodles. It's like thin udon, but I don't mind it. Why? The noodles are piping hot, but the soup is lukewarm. Is it still early? The green onions are fresh. I don't like green onions, but they're not bad. The bamboo shoots are dark in color and very sweet, which I don't like. The soup has a light umami and richness, which is good, but it's a bit salty, which bothers me. There's no strong dashi flavor. The chashu has an old-fashioned taste, thin and fatty, which I like. Is there two types of chashu? The second piece is tough. It was pretty good for a food court. It has some artificial flavoring, but it's tasty, so it's fine."
