Had a long-awaited visit to Ishimon with @kuma307 ❤️ Couldn't decide which branch to go to, but finally settled on one. The crab miso cream cheese had fewer pieces than before, but it was still delicious. The sashimi was amazing, especially the tender white fish. The seared fish (golden eye snapper) was too good! The menu also had shirako and fresh oysters, which I would definitely order next time. The grilled octopus sashimi was seared on one side, adding a nice aroma and texture. The Bungo beef pressed sushi (half portion) was also delicious, with a nice smoky flavor. And @kuma307's recommended sweet potato and cream cheese sandwich was surprisingly light and tasty! For dessert, it was perfect. I tried different types of sake with guidance: Kameizumi from Kochi, Shun Kasumi from Akita, Dassai from Yamaguchi, and Tate no Kawa from Yamagata. Started with Kameizumi, which had a sweet fruity aroma and was easy to drink. I didn't know sake could be this delicious! I'm now hooked and trying out different types at home. It was a delightful experience. Thank you and looking forward to the next stop! ✨

Isn't salt-grilled ayu a rare dish?
I've been craving salt-grilled ayu for 3 years and finally had it today at Ishimon. It made me so happy! On a side note, the sea urchin was amazing. I recommend having it in one bite.

Three days ago, we went out drinking, and now we decided to gather again with everyone haha. This time we went to Umeda. We visited the famous restaurant "Sakanaya Ishimon" in Osaka Station Front Building No. 1 (@sakanaya.ishimon). We managed to make a reservation for 5 people, so the seats were a bit tight, but the food here was really delicious. The counter was bustling with couples on dates and salarymen stopping by after work, which shows its popularity. After cheers with our drinks, we ordered various items freely. Let me introduce the beautifully arranged and unique menu items we had!
- Crab Miso Cream Cheese One Spoon: This dish, served in one spoon, is truly a sake thief. Especially when paired with Kameizumi (CEL24), it was amazing! The Kameizumi disappeared in no time. Definitely worth ordering!
- Cream Cheese and Prosciutto with White Miso Dressing: This was a surprising combination, with the sweetness of figs and the saltiness of prosciutto creating a sweet and salty pairing. But when you add the white miso dressing, it all comes together perfectly. This is the right way to eat figs.
The other dishes were also delicious, and we drank a lot, but there was no space to keep the bottles here, so I didn't keep track. However, the White Kikuhisa Chimera I had after a long time had a mysterious taste and was delicious. Using three types of koji really makes a difference. We had a great time drinking and chatting with 5 people, so I forgot to take many photos, which is a bit disappointing, but apart from that, we had quite a bit to eat and drink for about 4,000 yen per person. Isn't that great? We've already decided to meet up again next month with the same group, so having something to look forward to really motivates you. Even though it may seem noisy, I recommend you visit Ishimon, a place where you can relax. Cheers!

Today I had a long-awaited lunch drinking session with my former colleagues. We met in the early afternoon and started drinking right away. After our usual stop at Dongame, we ended up at Ishimon for some sake, simmered small potatoes, salt-grilled sea bream, and more. This group always seems to never stop drinking sake, and before we knew it, we were ordering more rounds. The food at this restaurant is perfect for pairing with sake, and we enjoyed both the meal and the conversation. Overall, it's a great place to have a good time with good food and drinks.

My husband and I had made a reservation, but we arrived a little early and found the restaurant was already full. There were other customers waiting as well. The place seemed really busy and packed. I was glad we had made a reservation! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The sashimi platter was shiny and the fish was full of flavor and fat. The grilled eel with salt was tender and juicy, like I have only seen at high-end eel restaurants. The simmered taro was lightly seasoned but had a gentle flavor enhanced by yuzu, spreading through the mouth and nose. It was so fluffy and delicious. The grilled salted cod roe was a first for me. It had a strong flavor that hit you, unlike regular simmered cod roe, but it had a refined taste. The umami was amazing! Every dish we ordered was outstanding. If you want authentic Japanese cuisine at a good price, this is the place to go! By the way, my husband and I are smokers, so it was a plus that we could smoke there. I would love to bring friends here and boast about knowing such a delicious restaurant. The only downside was that there were too many customers, and the restaurant felt overcrowded, so we couldn't relax and ended up eating quickly and leaving. Also, when we wanted to order more, the staff seemed too busy, and we had to wait for the right moment to call them over multiple times. It might be better to add another staff member or reduce the number of customers to allow for a more leisurely dining experience.

My favorite shop is one that I always find myself peeking into when I pass by, and before I know it, I'm drawn in. This day's drinking in Umeda, if you're near the station building, you can't miss this place. It's a convenient location, and ever since Ishimon's standing bar opened, I haven't been here in a while, but it's nice to be back. Started with a draft beer (450 yen). What I ordered was: - Crab miso cream cheese (380 yen) → Almost always order this at Ishimon haha - Pickled water eggplant (400 yen) → A moment where I'm grateful to be born in Senshu - Assorted sashimi platter (1200 yen) → Bluefin tuna, sea bream, yellowtail, golden eye snapper, octopus. Can't come to Ishimon without eating fish. Just dropped by quickly, but it was great. Thank you for the meal!

This is an izakaya located in the underground dining area of Osaka Daiichi Building. I made a reservation for a weekend night, but the place was always full and seemed very popular. The dishes were cheap and delicious, typical of Osaka restaurants! We ordered three pressed sushi dishes for dessert, and they were very good (^^).

I used to visit standing sushi restaurants and had been looking forward to visiting the main store someday. Finally, I made it there. I thought I would have to wait in line, so I was very grateful that I could make a reservation through Tabelog. I wasn't very familiar with the store in the station building, so I was feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. The summer vegetable dish with white miso at the beginning far exceeded my expectations! The crab miso, fried taro, meat sushi... each dish showed a level of sophistication that made me wonder how much they would cost if the store had a different atmosphere. It was a series of surprises! The only downside was the strict 2-hour time limit for dining. As soon as I put the last piece of meat sushi in my mouth, it was time to pay and leave! Well, that's how reservations work. But isn't it fun to chat while enjoying delicious food? It would be nice if they could be a bit more flexible, sorry for being so selfish. Whether it's drinks, appetizers, or rice dishes, this restaurant is sure to provide a satisfying dinner. I highly recommend it to everyone.

After shopping in Umeda, we stopped by here for an early drink at 16:20. We arrived without a reservation, so we sat at the counter first. We started with a draft beer toast. For snacks, we had boiled conger eel, vegetables in white miso, sushi restaurant-style omelette, and taro tempura. The boiled conger eel showed great attention to detail. The tasty vegetables in white miso were gentle on the palate. The sushi restaurant-style omelette was sweet, and the grated radish was a nice touch. The taro tempura was delicious with salt. The yuzu highball was refreshing and enjoyable. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

When I solve a mystery, I always visit this reliable and trustworthy restaurant without fail. My favorite thing about this place is that they serve delicious Japanese sake! The sashimi and other dishes are also delicious. It's always crowded, but I'm glad that we can still get in smoothly. This time, every dish was delicious - the sashimi, the celery pickles, and the simmered sea bream were all amazing. I will definitely visit again. My partner rates it 4.2 out of 5.

I used the counter. I had a sashimi assortment, crab and cheese cream appetizer, beef tataki, and tempura. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had beer and highball. Next time, I want to try sake.

I have become accustomed to going alone to have a drink at the Osaka Station Building, and I feel completely at ease in my 40s, blending in as a businessman in Osaka. One popular restaurant in the building is Ishimon, known for its delicious seafood. There should be three branches in the building, with the main branch being the one I visited for the first time. The reason is that it's always crowded, so they usually redirect you to other branches. I prefer being directed to a sister store rather than regretting going to a strange place. I personally call this insider customer attraction. This time, without insider customer attraction, I was told I could go in around 6 pm for about 30 minutes, so I went. I was recommended the potato salad first, which was surprisingly large in portion but really delicious. The sardine vinegar and bay clam simmer, and Mitsui's sake to finish. While sashimi, fried foods, and grilled dishes are essential, you can tell right away that the overall quality is high. However, Dream Gorilla in the same building is a standing bar with slightly higher prices but top-notch ingredients, making it difficult to compare individual ingredients. Some say it has made Ishimon a bit more accessible. Nevertheless, it has many fans, making it a popular choice for those working in the Namba and Umeda areas who want to make a reservation and go early. The portion sizes are generous, so I recommend going with about three people. It's a great place for a manager to take two subordinates and fits well in a scenario where subordinates are too gourmet. While there may be some gossip about subordinates being too into gourmet food, it's budget-friendly and a safe bet, a term I don't particularly like but fits this great restaurant well. Just for your reference.

There are two "Ishimon" restaurants in Osaka Station Front Building 1, and they have been popular for almost 10 years. The prices are not super cheap due to being in a station building, but you can enjoy fresh and delicious seafood dishes and sake at reasonable prices. Reservations are essential on weekends. The sashimi platter with 7 varieties (1 serving for 1350 yen) is all thick and juicy, very delicious. The octopus was especially tasty. The Ishigaki sea bream was also good. The bonito tataki goes well with sake. The crab miso cream cheese (550 yen each) was so-so for me. Today's grilled fish collar (750 yen) was all sea bream. It was delicious... Juicy and perfectly grilled, couldn't stop eating with chopsticks. Just the collar was not enough, haha. It may not be exactly at the station building price level, but I think it offers good value for money. However, the service is a bit lacking. They might be busy due to their popularity, but they brought the last drink order and immediately said, "The next customer is coming, so please pay." I drank quickly while thinking, "Oh no," and paid. Thank you for the meal! Check out my website where I introduce various restaurants in Osaka: https://higachannpoko.com. I ended up leisurely drinking and staying longer than planned for a 2-hour session. The counter seats were fully booked by reservation and the standing bar seats were available for walk-ins, creating a good balance. We started with a sashimi platter and enjoyed creatively prepared dishes like conger eel and Bungo beef. Although I refrained from sake this time, the menu showcased a selection of high-quality brands that I would like to try next time.

I searched for a delicious restaurant at Osaka Station and found a great place. Since it was crowded, I called to confirm if there was availability. They secured a seat for me at a nearby second branch. Both locations had a counter and small tables, and were quite narrow. The sashimi platter with 5 types was excellent! The grilled fish head dish was also delicious. I enjoyed a dry Japanese sake from the Japan Sea side, although I forgot the name. It was tasty! I will definitely go back again!

I had been curious about this highly rated restaurant for a long time, and I finally got to go. There were five of us from work, and we sat at a table. The sashimi was delicious, and they even cut it into pieces for each person, which was very thoughtful. The flavors of the fish were amazing. The other dishes we ordered were also great. The restaurant is a bit small, but it wouldn't be a problem if you sit at the counter. They have a wide selection of Japanese sake, including some rare ones at reasonable prices. It's no wonder this place is so popular. We had a great time and enjoyed our meal. Thank you, and we will definitely come back!

Visit date and time: 18:45 on a weekday
Wait time: Reservation (I had a reservation for 19:00 but was able to get in smoothly)
Menu: A la carte
I went to drink with my company members and made a reservation. There are several Ishimon restaurants in Osaka Station Front Building, and I accidentally visited the store next door about 10 meters away. I thought it was a standing bar, but the food was delicious and it was a proper izakaya. The space is a bit cramped with the wall, so it can be a little tight when other customers go to the restroom, but other than that, it was good. Thank you for the meal.

The main store and the branch store share online reservations, so it's unclear which one you'll end up at. The service at the branch store is good, and the menu seems to be the same. The layout inside is similar, except for the lack of tables in front of the main store. It was not crowded, and some people came without reservations.

This is a clean and stylish counter-style restaurant. The beautifully presented dishes are appetizing. The sashimi is fresh and the small plates are also delicious with attention to detail. There are many dishes to choose from, making it a delightful experience to plan what to order next time. It is a wonderful restaurant.

A shop with a wide variety of perfect dishes for pairing with alcohol. It's a place you can visit for your first or second stop. It's hard to get in without a reservation, but the deliciousness makes you want to go back again and again. With a wide selection of alcohol, you'll want to try different types of drinks.

I visited after a long time and was surprised by the continued cost performance. Even though prices are rising everywhere, the freshness of the sashimi and the wide variety of sake are wonderful. Personally, I like side dishes like simmered dishes, so I want to visit many times because I want to try everything.
