Enjoyed a gourmet burger while glancing at Lake Shikotsu. Despite being a tourist spot, the prices were reasonable, with a wide variety of options that were delicious. They had items like fried chicken, scallops, and Hokkaido wagyu beef, and surprisingly, the onion rings were tasty too. I was happy to find some junk food. It was also nice to be able to eat on the grass. Thank you very much!

This is my first visit to the hot spring street at Lake Shikotsu. They offer a Hokkaido beef cheeseburger for 780 yen, available only on weekends and holidays from Golden Week to autumn. The burger is sold from a kitchen car outside the Mizu no Uta hotel. The chef dressed in a chef's outfit prepares the burger with plenty of cheese and mayonnaise sauce. The bun is soft and delicious, the best I've ever had outside of a fast food restaurant. I usually prefer burgers without cheese, but this Hokkaido beef cheeseburger was great. There are open seating areas at the back of the kitchen car, where you can enjoy your meal. The staff were very friendly and even guided me to where I could buy sweets. Overall, it was a great experience.

[September 28, 2019 First Visit] I planned to go on a drive to a scenic location while keeping an eye on the weather forecast, with the purpose of taking photos for next year's New Year's cards. As the opportunities for my senior dog, Betty (Silver Dapple), who has a chronic illness, to go out are gradually becoming limited, we decided to visit Lake Shikotsu, which is about an hour's drive from Sapporo, on this sunny day. Betty, who turned 17 this year, has almost lost her eyesight, so she tends to be anxious outside and can't stay still, making it difficult to take photos with Clara. Although I rarely eat hamburgers, we chose to have lunch at "Mizu no Uta Garden," a burger shop at Shikotsu Lake Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no Uta, where we could eat on the terrace with our dogs. I ordered the popular "Chitose Burger," my wife ordered the "Scallop Burger," and we added tea and onion rings as a set for an additional 300 yen. The burgers, priced at 680 yen each, were all very voluminous and had a good cost performance. The Chitose Burger consisted of thick bacon, lettuce, half-boiled egg, tomato, a patty made of ground beef and pork, and onion slices. The Scallop Burger included shredded cabbage, lettuce, tartar sauce, two fried scallops, and onion slices. The taste of each burger was well-balanced, bringing out the goodness of all the ingredients, and they were so delicious that even someone like me who prefers rice and noodles thought it was worth eating occasionally! (^q^) However, it was disappointing that there was no coffee among the soft drinks at a burger shop. After eating, we strolled around half of Lake Shikotsu and went on a swan boat ride with our dogs. I visited the restaurant around 12:30 on Monday. I went camping with my close group of friends at Lake Shikotsu during the summer vacation. The next day, we went to Lake Shikotsu Onsen town for lunch. In Chitose, a local specialty called Chitose Burger has become popular. It was created in 2014 to promote Chitose's egg production and local consumption. There are various types of Chitose Burgers available at different stores in the city. Of course, they also had it at Lake Shikotsu. - Chitose Burger ¥680 - Soft drink set +¥300 Set for 980 is quite expensive. Inside the bun, there is thick bacon, lettuce, tomato, patty, and Chitose egg. It's quite filling. You can choose between potato or onion rings for the set. I ordered one of each with my friend, and both were delicious. The potato was moist and the thick-cut potato with the skin on provided a great texture. The onion rings were undeniably tasty. The set comes with a 500ml bottle of drink, which is convenient. Since it's a tenant shop, you can eat while enjoying the view of Lake Shikotsu from the outdoor terrace. Eating with the natural spice of the surroundings definitely adds to the flavor. I became interested in Chitose Burger and now I want to conquer all the burgers in Chitose city!

On Mother's Day, I wanted to give my mother a present that would make her happy. When I asked her what she wanted, she said she wanted to see a lake. Since she mentioned that going too far would tire her out, I decided to take her on a drive to Lake Shikotsu, which is easy to reach from Sapporo. We visited the Lake Shikotsu Visitor Center and took a sightseeing boat on the lake for the first time, which was really fun. As we were enjoying ourselves, my stomach started growling. We followed a pleasant smell and found a delicious-looking hamburger. We bought it and enjoyed the tasty hamburger with juicy ground meat, crispy lettuce, fresh tomato, and a runny fried egg. It was very delicious and filling. My partner ordered a 100% Hokkaido beef burger, which was also delicious with a juicy patty full of beef flavor, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. It was presented by Tsuruga Resort, and I heard that the shop is only open during the summer season, so if you're interested, be sure to visit soon. I ordered the 100% beef burger for 680 yen, along with fries and juice for 300 yen. The juice was a canned drink, so it was a safe choice. First off, it's expensive!! The taste was good, but... it's pricey. They have a variety of burgers, all priced at 680 yen each. The fries were crispy and tasty. But still, it's expensive!! When you're in a tourist spot, you tend to end up buying these things, right? Is this how it is supposed to be? Lake Shikotsu in the current season is amazing.

Today, we had a casual gathering with four friends, aimlessly walking around and not really sticking to any plan. It was a laid-back day where we couldn't even keep track of time. One of our friends, who didn't plan on driving, annoyingly bought canned chu-hi from the convenience store and enjoyed it in the car. Another friend, who tends to get aggressive when provoked, was left to his own devices. We ended up at Lake Shikotsu, with the main goal being to try the Chitose Burger. Only the annoying friend was interested in it, so we decided to buy it and judge for ourselves. Despite there being only two groups in line, it took 15 minutes to get our burgers, but that's understandable since they don't pre-make them. The burger had a bun, ham, beef patty, Costco cheese, lettuce, sunny-side-up egg, and another bun on top. The buns were crispy and fresh, the patty was juicy, and the cheese and egg added a rich flavor. It was pricey, but definitely worth the wait. Overall, it was delicious!

Chitose Local Hamburger - Shikotsu Lake Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no Uta On a sunny day, it feels great to bask in the sun at Shikotsu Lake Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no Uta. The front yard has beautiful grass where kids can play around. Even kids feel good in such a place. You can try the Chitose Local Hamburger, called "Chitose Burger," at Mizu no Uta, but it costs ¥880 for one burger, which requires some courage. It's a new local gourmet using Chitose's eggs, which boasts the highest egg production in the whole prefecture. But for ¥880, you could have a pork cutlet bowl instead (laughs). Nevertheless, I decided to buy one to try it out. It takes some time to cook after ordering, but that's part of the charm. You can take a quick walk around while waiting, and before you know it, it's ready. The wait just makes the deliciousness even more satisfying. The half-cooked egg in the burger was a delightful touch. Overall, it was a delicious burger. Thank you for the meal. The weather was nice, so I went for a drive to Lake Shikotsu. There is a hamburger wagon in the garden of the hotel "Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizunouta" by Lake Shikotsu, open only during the summer. I had a lunch of a hamburger made with 100% Hokkaido beef and fries. The hamburger is made to order and served hot. It's quite big and juicy, with crispy onion slices adding a nice touch. The sauce is subtle, allowing the meat's flavor to come through. The fries are made from fresh potatoes and are deliciously soft inside. I almost had my hamburger taken by a crow, but a hotel staff member quickly chased it away. The hamburger is a good size, providing a satisfying meal. It's a great snack for a drive.

I felt a bit unsatisfied at the restaurant "Kotobuki," so I was lured by the delicious smell of meat being grilled and ended up at the "Flower Water Poem Garden" where a new hamburger shop had appeared out of nowhere! They had about 4-5 types of burgers, including the "Maple Burger" which caught my attention. It's made with venison patty, priced at 880 yen! The beer looked tempting too, so I went for the classic combo of "Burger + Beer." I chose to sit on the grass, under the sun, and the beer tasted amazing! After a 10-minute wait, my hearty burger arrived, smelling delicious. It seemed like it was grilled over charcoal. I've had venison before, but this one was surprisingly tasty with fresh veggies, pickles, and BBQ sauce. The patty wasn't gamey at all, and the texture and flavor were slightly different from beef or pork. It was easy to eat. The combination of burger and beer never fails! Although 880 yen for one burger seems pricey, the atmosphere and location made it worth it. It's all part of the "Water Poem Garden experience." The chef's refreshing smile while preparing the food was also memorable.

There were many different options to choose from, but I decided to order the local specialty, the Chitose Burger. It had a runny half-boiled egg inside, and the buns and meat were delicious. I was tempted to order a second one, but the price was a bit high so I stuck with just one (laughs). The weather was nice so I could eat on the outdoor terrace, which made it taste even better.

Yodare Chicken Burger - 680 yen There are more and more restaurants popping up by the shores of Lake Shikotsu. I got a takeout Chitose burger from the Water Poem Garden kitchen car. I chose the Yodare Chicken Burger without tomatoes. It seems like a burger made by a hotel chef. I placed my order and was given a bell to wait with. After 20 minutes, I got my burger. The sweet and spicy fried chicken, lettuce, onions, and sauce were well balanced and delicious! It was a good portion size, and at 680 yen, it was worth it! I'm satisfied.
