And they set the all-you-can-drink price in one-hour increments, which is great. You can even have a one-hour drinking challenge. We ended up drinking for two hours, but even then, we might have had more than 10 drinks each (laughs). Because it's only 490 yen... The menu requires each person to order at least two items, but even then, 2000 yen per person is enough. First, we ordered the classic. Of course. The cover charge is a bit high at 480 yen per person. But it's understandable since the drinks are cheap. We also ordered the staff salad (605 yen), maruemon (140 yen), and edamame (350 yen). The nearby izakaya had a cozy atmosphere, but it turns out the previous izakaya had been closed for a year and now has a new name. I underestimated it thinking it was a common chain store, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I ordered the grilled squid, it was thick and well-cooked, with a good presentation. It was so satisfying that my companion and I agreed it was worth coming back just for that. They also offer all-you-can-drink options, making it a great place to bring out-of-town guests without feeling embarrassed. Unfortunately, they had to close due to the new state of emergency. I'll make a note to remember to visit again in September.
