I went to "Shun no Suke" in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture. It is located about 100m east of the east exit of Hankyu Takarazuka Line Shonai Station. Since the shop does not face National Route 176, it can be a bit confusing when using a car. I found a parking lot that charges 110 yen for 60 minutes starting from 19:00, as most coin parking lots in the area do not offer discounted rates until 22:00. The area has very narrow roads, and if you mistakenly turn into a different side street while aiming for parking, it can be quite disastrous. The small shop has a straight counter with 7 seats, but it does not feel cramped as there is space at the back. I ordered the "Chicken Bone Soy Sauce" for 850 yen, along with an additional "Simmered Egg" for 100 yen and "Rare Roast" for 100 yen. The bowl was filled with a rich and frothy tea-colored soup. The fine bubbles covering the surface convey the intensity of the broth. The soy sauce base blended well with the mildly sweet and creamy soup, providing a nice balance. The smoky flavor from the freshly seared chashu adds depth to the taste. It's impressive how such richness and depth of flavor can be extracted even from thin chicken bones. The slightly wavy thin noodles, cooked to my liking with a firm texture, were topped with tender chashu, simmered egg, white negi, and mizuna. The separately served rare roast had a moist and refreshing texture, reminiscent of high-quality ham. Thank you for the meal!

Personally, Shunsuke in Shonai is the best ramen place. Their chicken bone white broth ramen is delicious! The grilled chashu is also really good. They also have special menu items each day. I always admire the chef who works alone and handles everything. There is always a line when you leave the restaurant! Take care of yourself. I will visit again! Oh, and the ramen is so delicious and cheap!

I tried the "Nira Soba Roast" which was listed as an additional menu item under the regular menu. The curly noodles caught my attention. The noodles were smooth and delicious. The soup was rich soy sauce-based and also tasty.

Chicken Bone Soy Sauce Ramen ¥800
Leek and Enoki Mushroom Rice ¥300
I visited around 12:00 for lunch. There were two seats available at the counter, so I sat down. It quickly became full. I received my ramen in about 6-7 minutes. After ordering the ramen, I became curious about the Leek and Enoki Mushroom Rice, so I added it to my order. The owner was working alone and cooking efficiently. It was my first time trying chicken bone ramen. The soup was a smooth blend of chicken and soy sauce. It was light but flavorful, and very delicious. The medium-thick noodles were cooked al dente and paired perfectly with the soup. The chicken chashu was tender and moist. The pork chashu was quite fatty, but it melted in my mouth when I ate it. I wanted more! Next time, I'll try the Chashu Ramen for an additional ¥350. As for the Leek and Enoki Mushroom Rice that I couldn't stop thinking about... it looked just like its name. The combination of spicy leeks and enoki mushrooms was subtly delicious. It went well with the soup too. It was so tasty! Thank you for the meal. I'm also curious about the salt and chicken bone rich soy sauce. I parked at YAMADA's parking lot, so I did a little shopping before heading home.

This adult field trip was to Tenma-za, so I landed in Shonai for the first time. I searched for delicious ramen and found Shunko's, which caught my interest. I had the Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce, while Daishin had the Chicken Bone Spicy Soy Sauce. We both loved the limited-time Cloud Wonton topping soup, which made our lips plump with collagen. The thickness of the noodles was just right, and the Cloud Wonton had a crunchy texture with minced chicken. It was so delicious that we decided to come back again. Next time, I want to try the Spicy Salt or Chinese-style ramen, or maybe even the Garlic Chive ramen. I just want to taste everything at this ramen shop.

In the southern part of Toyonaka City, there is Shonai, home to Toyomin Market. This area still retains a diverse atmosphere, with many renowned shops. This time, we visited a ramen shop located in a historic building just off National Route 176. The interior of the shop is dimly lit, with only a counter and a single chef. We sat down, looked at the menu, and ordered the first item listed, Chicken Bone Soy Ramen (800 yen). I had never heard of chicken bone ramen before, it's not pork bone or chicken broth, so I was intrigued. The ramen that arrived appeared to be a creamy chicken broth with a rich flavor, but when I tasted it, it was surprisingly light and smooth. The soup was piping hot, almost burning my mouth, but that's how it should be. The noodles were firm and had a great texture and flavor. I would like to try the regular ramen and salt ramen on my next visit.

I ordered the Spicy Chicken Bone Soy Sauce at the counter. To be honest, I was already full, but I wanted something to finish off my meal. It was so delicious that I felt like I could eat another bowl! It had a slightly creamy texture and was easy to eat, making it the perfect way to end the meal. There were about four air conditioners in the restaurant. The owner was working alone and seemed busy, but I will definitely come back when I have the chance.

I had once visited this place in the past, but I happened to have some business in Shonai, so I tried a new type of ramen called "Torikotsu" ramen! It was much lighter than tonkotsu ramen, and surprisingly, I was able to finish it all even after eating yakiniku! They also had "Chuka soba" and "Shio Torikotsu" ramen, so I would like to try them if I have the chance to visit again.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Shonai Station, this ramen shop has only 6 seats at the counter. When I arrived around 9:00 PM, it was packed with people who had finished drinking or were just arriving. The atmosphere was friendly, with locals chatting and showing consideration for each other. I tried the soy sauce ramen, which was light yet had a good amount of oil and saltiness. The char siu was grilled, giving it a nice smoky flavor. It felt like a delicious old-fashioned Chinese soba. The prices are also quite reasonable. I finished my bowl quickly, so I apologize for not having a photo this time. I'll make sure to take one next time.

I discovered a ramen shop deep in the alley and immediately went in! It had the atmosphere of a long-established ramen shop but the taste was modern ramen!! The chicken broth ramen had a rich flavor and was excellent! The owner looked tough but was very kind, and the atmosphere was calm. I definitely want to visit this ramen shop again.

Chicken bone soy sauce ramen! It's rich but smooth, and the chashu with both chicken and pork is delicious! The soup is thick like potage with a deep flavor packed with the umami of chicken, making it easy to eat!

On a regular day around 1:00 PM, the ramen shop was almost full. Located about a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Shonai Station, just off the main street. The exterior is a bit hard to find, but the interior is clean with only a few seats at the counter. The chairs are tall. The menu includes chicken bone-based soy sauce, salt, spicy, and Chinese-style ramen, as well as various toppings. I ordered the chicken bone soy sauce ramen for 750 yen, with an additional rare chashu topping for 100 yen. The soup was very delicious, creamy and rich with a nice chicken flavor and just the right amount of salt. The temperature was high. The noodles were straight and thin, with a chewy texture. The chashu, made from both chicken and pork, was also very tasty. The pork chashu was seared and had a nice smoky flavor. Overall, it was a great deal for 750 yen. The chef, who was running the shop alone, was efficient and friendly, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

Second visit to the restaurant with a total rating of 3.60 on Tabelog. Visit date: Thursday, April 27, 2023, 20:40. Ordered:
- Chicken Bone Salt Ramen for 750 yen + extra noodles for 150 yen
- Chicken Bone Soy Sauce Ramen for 750 yen
Five days ago, I tried the Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen, which had a light yet rich flavor. I wondered if the regular soy sauce or salt ramen would be just as delicious, so I decided to visit again. When I arrived, two seats were available, and I was seated there. The restaurant soon became full, and there was a line forming outside, showing its popularity.
This time, I tried both the basic menu items, Chicken Bone Soy Sauce Ramen and Salt Ramen. The noodles were the same medium-thick straight noodles as last time. The soup had a light chicken broth base with a slight thickness. As I expected, both the soy sauce and salt ramen were incredibly delicious! Surprisingly, the salt ramen had a stronger and clearer salty flavor compared to the soy sauce ramen. Both were equally tasty! Additionally, the toppings like the tender chashu were different from the Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen and Salt Ramen. The melt-in-your-mouth chashu seems to be exclusive to the Salt Ramen and Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen.
The reasonable prices and the convenience of being open late in the nearby area make this a restaurant I would like to visit frequently in the future.

Ordered:
- Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen 850 yen
- Wonton 150 yen
- Extra Noodles 150 yen
- Salt Ramen 750 yen
Upon arrival, there were just two seats available, so I entered immediately. The place was always full, with a few people waiting outside at all times, showing its popularity. The small restaurant had a counter with six seats, and the owner managed everything alone. The Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen had thin straight noodles cooked slightly firm, which I liked. The soup was a clear, low-viscosity chicken broth with a rich soy sauce flavor, offering a unique texture and depth of flavor. It was delicious! If this chicken broth base is used for other ramen styles like regular soy sauce or salt, they would probably be tasty too. The Salt Ramen had the same noodles. However, the soup, while having a good kombu flavor, was too bland with weak saltiness, feeling like eating noodles with just kombu water in the bowl, which was a mistake on my part. The owner, despite being busy handling everything alone, was very friendly and attentive to each customer. While other places keep raising prices, the base menu at 750 yen was surprisingly affordable. However, the quality of the food here is exceptional, with well-prepared chashu and delicious flavors, making it a definite revisit for me.

I ordered the Chicken Bone Soy Sauce Ramen with a boiled egg (900 yen). The broth is really flavorful. After drinking the soup, I couldn't help but let out a "ahh" sound! It has a similar taste to simmered ramen, but the noodles are nice and chewy. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered items... Chicken bone soy sauce ramen for 750 yen, meat bowl for 450 yen. The chicken bone soy sauce ramen had a broth similar to chicken paitan, not too thick but still rich and easy to drink. It had a gentle flavor that felt refreshing going down. The noodles paired well with the broth, creating a delicious balance of richness without being overwhelming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, with only a small counter for seating.

The master who serves customers politely is handling everything alone. This time, I had the chuka soba with boiled egg and one wantan topping, which was not available last time due to summer time. The soy sauce has a slightly seafood-like taste. The noodles are thin and there are plenty of toppings, which is good. I also got an extra serving of noodles. I think the chicken bone ramen with flat noodles better showcases the goodness of this ramen shop.

After 11 years, I came back! My favorite ramen is salt pork bone ramen, but it's hard to find a place that serves it. However, this place serves salt chicken bone ramen, which is similar in taste, so I was excited to revisit after a long time. The restaurant has a simple exterior and is known as a hidden gem for ramen lovers. I waited about 10 minutes before entering the small shop with only 6 seats, run by a very polite owner. The menu includes: Chicken bone soy sauce ramen (750 yen), Chicken bone salt ramen (750 yen), Chinese noodles (750 yen), Salt noodles (750 yen), and Chicken bone thick soy sauce ramen (850 yen). I ordered the Chicken bone salt ramen with extra chashu for 350 yen. The chashu was a mix of chicken and pork, with the pork belly chashu being particularly delicious. The noodles were thin and straight, easy to slurp. The soup, while different from salt pork bone, was creamy and tasty. Mixing in the yuzu pepper added a spicy kick to the flavor. Overall, the ramen here was delicious, although visually it may not be as appealing. It was a satisfying meal after such a long time.

I visited this place after 9 years, as it seems to have become more popular. It was around 1:30 pm on a holiday, and there were 2 people waiting outside. I ordered the Chicken Bone Soy Sauce Ramen for 850 yen, a boiled egg for 100 yen, and a regular size bowl of rice for 150 yen. The soup was a dark brown color and very flavorful. The soy sauce had a burnt flavor, and the noodles were thin and chewy. The egg yolk was rich and delicious, and the charred chashu was amazingly tasty. My impression of the ramen has changed a lot from when I last had it 9 years ago. It was a great meal!

I wanted to try the Chinese noodles at this new one-person operation counter, but they were not serving it during summertime. Instead, I had the Chicken Bone Rich Soy Sauce Ramen with a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and a side of gyoza. The meal cost 1,500 yen. The noodles were medium-thick and flat, the soup had a strong chicken bone flavor, and the toppings included two types of chashu, seaweed, green onions, onions, and mitsuba. The service was excellent, but the cost performance was average. Overall rating: A-

I returned to Osaka and went to Shonai Bar after a long time. I used to order the small ramen as a finishing touch, but even though it's small, there's plenty of it. When I asked the owner, he said that they used to serve it in small portions, but it was too much trouble, so now they serve it in regular portions. This shows the owner's good nature. The taste is, of course, excellent. Thank you for the meal.
