The atmosphere felt like being at home. We were able to get a seat without a reservation as there happened to be one available, although it seemed others had not been so lucky. The mapo tofu was quite spicy with a strong kick of spices, making it sweat-inducing. We also ordered the fried chicken, which was also delicious. Overall, the quality of the food was high.

I went to a restaurant called Lion Restaurant with some friends. We ordered the all-season 4500 yen course with all-you-can-drink. The menu included appetizers like drooling chicken, Sichuan pickles, and avocado with homemade chili oil. We also had soup dumplings, stir-fried soft shell shrimp with XO sauce, and stir-fried organic Chinese vegetables. For the main dishes, we enjoyed braised pork belly, Sichuan-style mapo tofu, and crab meat fried rice. We ended the meal with sesame dumplings for dessert. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with seating for around 25 people. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. I will definitely be going back!

I came to Umeda early in the morning to explore a new place where I can enjoy delicious mapo tofu. However, even though it was a Saturday, my day off, I ended up having to deal with work-related matters while I was out. In the end, I decided to change my plans and visit this place, which I haven't been to in a while. Well, the mapo tofu here is always guaranteed to be of high quality, so there's no problem at all. It was quite sweet, but the numbing spiciness of the Sichuan pepper kicks in, and there is a spicy kick at the end. Personally, it ranks third among the Mapo Tofu dishes I have eaten in Osaka. The Fried Rice was also delicious. There were other dishes I wanted to try, but I wanted to go to a second place, so we left early. I will definitely visit this place again. Reservations are relatively easy to make, and even when the restaurant is full, the speed from ordering to serving the food is quite fast. I will come back again.

The thickness of the skin is just right. The meat filling is generous. "Mapo Tofu with Sichuan Peppercorns". Delicious. It's sweet at first but then spicy. The numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns is impactful. There is plenty of minced meat, and the tofu is silky. It's a must-try dish. "Shrimp with Mayonnaise Sauce". Large shrimp tempura mixed with a mild tangy mayonnaise sauce. It's topped with nuts and wolfberries. "Spicy Pork and Vegetable Fried Rice". The flavor is rich and spicy. The vegetables, green onions, and egg are mixed well with the moist rice. A fried rice that goes well with alcohol. I really enjoyed my meal at "Lion Restaurant" after a long time. This popular restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. The spacious interior offers both table and counter seating. Today, I ordered the signature dish "Crab Meat Ankake Fried Rice Lunch set for ¥1,200". On weekdays, the lunch set includes xiaolongbao or shrimp steamed dumplings, soup, and pickled vegetables. The crab meat ankake fried rice features flavorful and fluffy fried rice with a generous amount of crab meat, topped with a velvety sauce. The crunchy shrimp paste steamed dumplings are also delicious. The xiaolongbao and mapo tofu are also highly recommended, so I would like to try them next time. The female staff member who assisted us on our way out was incredibly cute and made my heart race (lol).

The umami of the meat comes first, followed by the texture of the tofu, and the Sichuan pepper lingers in the aftertaste. It's spicy but also refreshing, and delicious. The crab meat fried rice was already tasty on its own with a nice texture and flavor, but the crab meat sauce adds a nice twist to it. Delicious! Considering the price, it's quite tasty and has great value for money. I definitely want to visit again.

I ordered some beer and they had stir-fried water spinach. It was delicious, with a perfect texture. The soup dumplings were also great, I always order them if they're available. Each restaurant has its own unique features, which makes it fun. The miso-based sauce here was rich and tasty, perfect with beer. The mapo tofu had plenty of Sichuan pepper, just the way I like it. I saw noodles on the table next to me and ordered a similar dish (dan dan noodles). They were also full of Sichuan pepper and had thin noodles that paired well with the soup. For dessert, I had sesame dumplings and almond tofu, which were a nice, soothing end to the meal. It was delicious - thank you. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

On this day, I finished my business in Temma and decided to have lunch at "Lion Restaurant". I arrived at the restaurant around 12 o'clock, with only one other group of customers. It seems that they only serve lunch on weekends, as their main business is in the evenings. I ordered the crab meat fried rice with thick sauce, xiaolongbao, and homemade almond jelly. The food was served about 10 minutes after ordering. The crab meat fried rice had a sharp salty taste, which I enjoyed as I like strong flavors, but it was a bit too intense. I think it would be even more delicious if the saltiness was toned down a bit. As I ate, I felt like having a beer, so it seems like this place is more suited for evening dining. The xiaolongbao came in a set of four, but when I tried to take them out of the steamer, the skin stuck to the paper and tore, causing all the juicy meat to spill out. It's understandable if one tears, but all four was a disappointment. It made me appreciate the amazing skill of a Chinese restaurant I used to love in Shibuya, where the xiaolongbao never tore. The almond jelly was tasty and jiggly, but it had too much syrup which diluted the delicious almond flavor. It might be pleasing for those who like the syrup, but it wasn't to my taste. Despite the shortcomings, I could see that the staff were trying their best. Thank you for the meal.

In the past, when it came to Chinese food in Temma, Senryu was the only choice, but recently, the area around Temma has become quite lively with more and more restaurants opening up. I had the drooling chicken, mapo tofu, and ankake fried rice. All the dishes were very delicious. Especially, the mapo tofu had a memorable sweetness to it, and I was curious about what caused this sweetness. Since this time was for lunch, I'd like to visit again during the evening hours next time.
