2022: Revisited my beloved Honokawa-san after a long time, with my dad this time! We had a private table this time and we were extremely satisfied with the experience. We enjoyed some slightly pricey (lol) beer and sake while indulging in the Hanamachi course meal priced at 3300 yen including tax. The dishes were beautifully presented and meticulously prepared, showcasing the amazing dashi broth made by professionals! The course included sesame tofu, sashimi, assorted appetizers, shrimp shinjo, tempura of shrimp and vegetables, rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, red miso soup, pickles, and dessert. Here's to hoping that the Hanamachi course meal continues to delight the common people for a long time!

I enjoyed the "Kotobuki" course. The ingredients such as conger eel, alfonsino, and tuna were of excellent quality. The fruits were perfectly ripe and sweet. The presentation of the dishes, including the tableware, was superb. The staff was attentive, and the service, including the farewell from the manager Mr. Uchiumi, was top-notch. I would love to visit again.

The manager and owner came to greet us at the beginning, and their service was excellent, which made us feel very welcomed. I would definitely consider using this place for entertaining guests. It was my first time trying deep-fried sawagani (Japanese freshwater crab), and it was quite shocking. All the dishes were delicious. The melon dessert was not watery, but rich and very tasty. It was the first time in a long while that I had such delicious melon.

I had lunch at this restaurant. I was guided to a private room and was able to enjoy my meal slowly. The 5500 yen lunch course was satisfying, with a good flow of dishes. The vegetables were beautifully arranged and visually appealing. And of course, the dashi was delicious. The service was brisk and refreshing.

Yesterday, I went out for the first time in a long time since being discharged from the hospital and took a train to go to Kita-Shinchi to sell JAL's discount coupons. I rode my bike to the station and took the train. I got off at Kita-Shinchi and had a reservation at Honokawa-san for 11:30. Honokawa-san used to offer a lunch for around 1000 yen, which was a great deal, but now they offer a 3300 yen course meal for lunch. I used the money from selling the discount coupons to go there with my girlfriend. We were guided to a private room at a traditional Japanese restaurant in Kita-Shinchi for lunch. The dishes were served one by one, each looking beautiful and tasting delicious. Today's menu featured seasonal yellowtail in various dishes. I was really satisfied with the meal. After that, I went to Umeda's second building to sell two JAL discount coupons. I sold them for 1800 yen. I walked a lot due to some misunderstandings. Then, I went to Hankyu Department Store to buy some good tea, sweet potato tempura, and a dessert. I walked about 5km today. I'm still recovering from illness, so I did get tired, but my body kept up. I now have confidence that I can travel again in the future.

Lunch with game friends after a long time at Hono-gawa in Kita-shinchi. Hono-gawa in Kita-shinchi is personally my top recommendation for lunch! You can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. It's Japanese cuisine, so it's great because you won't have trouble even if you don't know the preferences of the people you're with! The Hanamachi course is 3,300 yen (tax included)! We sat at a slightly cramped table, but we were able to enjoy our meal in a calm atmosphere. Today's menu was like this! Yomogi tofu, sashimi of sea bream, tuna, and yellowtail, grilled miso-marinated mackerel, plum milk, ohitashi, and sweet potato with anko sauce, tempura of shrimp, pumpkin, and kakiage, sea bream rice, miso soup, pickles, dessert mango pudding, and tofu cake. That was today's menu! I'm sorry for the brief menu description! Japanese cuisine allows you to enjoy both the dishes and the serving ware, and the gentle flavors satisfy your taste buds. If you're going to have lunch in Kita-shinchi, you should definitely consider this restaurant.

When I got off the elevator and arrived in front of the store, it was just before opening, but the staff kindly welcomed me. I was guided to a counter seat. The dishes were served at a good pace and all of them were delicious. It was a weekday lunchtime, but customers kept coming one after another, showing that it is a popular restaurant.

Today's lunch at Hanamachi Kaiseki was amazing! I went with my colleagues and had a course meal for 3300 yen. The meal included sesame tofu, sea bream, tuna, yuba yellowtail with saikyo miso, fukushinsho soup, chrysanthemum tempura, maiitake mushrooms, wakasagi fish, and walnut bonito salad. We also had egg yolk miso sauce, sea bream rice, black sesame pudding, and homemade tofu mousse. We enjoyed the meal in a private room, it was such a luxurious experience. Today I had a nice boss treat me to a reward lunch at Hanamachi Kaiseki. The lunch included Nanjing tofu, Oma tuna and sea bream, fresh yuba, yellowtail, grilled yellowtail collar with edamame rice crackers, shrimp and red sweet potato tempura, seaweed, grated oyster with peanuts, chrysanthemum daikon, quail miso pickle, and steamed clay pot dish. For dessert, there was grilled jacope fish on rice with tea pickles, mango pudding, and tofu mousse. This lunch was such a great deal! I had tried their counter seating before, but this time I made a reservation for a private room and it was their 24th anniversary special, so they served a special steamed clay pot dish. It was too good of a deal to pass up! Everything was so delicious. Thank you for the feast!

Today, I visited "Hinokawa" in Kitashinchi. It was around 11:45 on a Saturday. As soon as the elevator opened on the 4th floor, a staff member greeted me. I was seated at a private table, so I'm not sure about the number of customers. I ordered the 3000 yen course. The dishes included "Fig jelly with sesame sauce," "Today's special" with yuba, conger eel, tuna, sea bream, "Grilled ayu fish," "Conger eel and potato soup," and a "Main dish plate" with fried sandfish, corn tempura, and more. The quality of each dish was outstanding and it was hard to believe it was only 3000 yen. The service was also top-notch, typical of Kitashinchi. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It is quiet and calm, with spacious private rooms where you can relax. There is a wide variety of alcohol available. The assorted sashimi platter was stylish and delicious! Everything else was also good. All the dishes were so delicious, it felt like they were of high quality! Thank you for the meal.

Last time I visited, there was a group lunch event going on, so the place was fully booked. The service was excellent, and I promised myself I would definitely come back. Today, after a morning meeting at the main office, my colleague and I decided to visit again. The lunch menu offers a variety of options, from high-end courses to affordable daily bento boxes. We opted for the cheapest bento box, but the quality was still amazing. We ordered cold tea as we had rushed over. After being seated, it only took 5 minutes for our food to be served. The bento box came first, followed by various side dishes, sashimi, miso soup, and finally rice. I was delighted to hear that refills for miso soup and rice were available. The miso soup had a rich broth, and the rice paired perfectly with the sashimi. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive. The dessert, tofu mousse with blueberry jam, was not too sweet and a perfect way to end the meal. All of this for just ¥1,000 is incredible value for money. If this place was closer to my office, I would definitely visit at least once a week.

After toasting with champagne, we had a delicious appetizer of cod milt tofu with homemade ponzu sauce, which was so good that we bought some as a souvenir. The sashimi with blowfish included not only regular soy sauce but also salt and powdered soy sauce, which was interesting. We switched to sake and enjoyed a thoughtful service from the restaurant - red rice with dried sea bream and persimmon raisin butter, which was incredibly tasty. For the hot pot, we could choose from three types, and my senior colleagues chose sukiyaki with beautifully adorned eggs, while I had blowfish hot pot. It warmed us up nicely. The colorful and enjoyable turnip crab sauce dish included shrimp, miso-pickled vegetables, and simmered chestnuts. There was also seasonal grilled dish, and Osaka-style beef tenderloin skewers. We finished with blowfish porridge for rice, and completed the meal with dessert. Thank you for the feast - we are full!

All the dishes from the first course of shirako tofu to the dessert at the end were delicious. Truly amazing! It seems like they knew it was my birthday, as they surprised me with grilled sea bream and red rice as a gift. I was touched by their thoughtful gesture. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. I will definitely come back.

Just finished a meeting in a new area. Let's go for lunch! This place is known for its great value lunch. As expected from a high-class restaurant at night, there were plenty of dishes and they looked beautiful. I was so busy eating that I forgot to take pictures, but the fried food, grilled dishes, and steamed egg custard were all served piping hot with no pre-made items! And even though it was just lunch, they saw us off with great hospitality. ♥️

One of the few restaurants I have visited in the past and definitely want to visit again is this place located in the same building as "Kitashinchi Shichirou"! I didn't want to share this place because I wanted to keep it a secret, but oh well haha. Just like Kitashinchi Shichirou, this place is located on the 4th floor of the Beer Building, about a 5-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by professional and courteous staff members. I was initially planning to order a sashimi bento, but this time the cost performance was amazing! I had the "Daily Matsukadou Bento (daily main dish = teriyaki salmon, chawanmushi, multiple side dishes, miso soup, rice, dessert)" and it was delicious! The chawanmushi had a simple yet flavorful broth, and the vegetable tempura was perfectly seasoned with a nice texture from carrots and onions. The simmered daikon radish in a small dish had a gentle flavor. The sashimi consisted of compact tuna and fresh yuba, adding a nice touch to the meal. The teriyaki salmon, although compact, had a rich flavor that paired well with the shiny and perfectly cooked rice. The portion of rice was just right, and I even asked for seconds to finish it all. I almost forgot about dessert, but the tofu mousse was light and elegant, and all of this for just 1,000 yen including tax is truly amazing. From the moment you are handed a hot towel, you can tell this place is different. There were 5 staff members behind the counter, and their teamwork was impeccable. They didn't overlook any details, even checking for any belongings customers might have forgotten. The hospitality here is truly exceptional, and I'm so glad I went on a Kitashinchi lunch adventure. Highly recommend it!

Meeting a friend for a sudden lunch, we were looking for a place with a price range around 2,000 yen. Unfortunately, we couldn't make a reservation on the day, so we remembered this place where we had to book a course meal of 2,500 yen or more. The service was polite, with the staff seeing off the previous customers and guiding us to a private table. We ordered the 2,500 yen course and started with a cold drink. The meal consisted of sesame tofu, sashimi, grilled conger eel, salmon, steamed bun, tempura, rice, and dessert. The food was generally good, but there were some disappointments like cucumber in the dishes despite mentioning the dislike in advance. The memories of a previous visit to the same place were better, and this time it fell a bit short.

I revisited this restaurant because my last visit was very good. It has a luxurious atmosphere typical of Kitashinchi. The sashimi bento box for 1500 yen and the daily changing Matsukado bento box for 1000 yen were both delicious. I was happy to see eggplant as one of the vegetable side dishes. The sashimi was firm and very tasty. The dessert shaved ice was perfect for the hot summer weather.

Ho no Kawa in Kitashinchi. I heard they offer a high cost-performance lunch with quality service. Seats were available when I arrived. I ordered a menu that caught my eye. It was ready in 3 minutes. Daily Matsukado Bento (1,000 yen) - The daily main dish was chicken. It was tender and went well with curry-flavored cabbage. Delicious! - Eggplant with sesame dressing. The eggplant was refreshing and the sesame dressing paired perfectly with rice, very tasty! - Vegetable tempura with vegetables and corn. It doesn't go well with rice but it's delicious on its own! I wish I could sprinkle some salt on it. - Eggplant and burdock root salad. Perfect for summer. - Sashimi with tuna and yuba. Luxurious and delicious! - Chawanmushi. Hot but sweet, elegant, and delicious! - Miso soup. Not too strong in flavor but rich and tasty, could eat three bowls of rice with just this. By the way, rice and miso soup are free for refills. The atmosphere and dishes were fantastic, and for only 1,000 yen, it's unbelievable. As I was about to leave, they brought out dessert! - Strawberry milk shaved ice. Crunchy, sweet, and delicious! Honestly, the cost-performance here is unbelievable. This is top-class in Kitashinchi. I was surprised.

To celebrate my daughter's marriage, we had a meal together. My two daughters and I, with my daughter's request for Japanese cuisine, I made a reservation at this restaurant with high ratings on Tabelog. We met at Osaka Station and walked for about 15 minutes to a building south of Kita-shinchi, where the restaurant is located on the 4th floor. As we entered, a few staff members greeted us warmly, as if they had been expecting us. Although we had reserved a table, they were able to secure a private room for us at the back. We had reserved the "Day Kaiseki Hana 5000 yen" set, which included a non-alcoholic drink due to the state of emergency. The menu included the following: - Appetizer: Crystal jelly with grilled eggplant - Assorted sashimi: Fatty tuna, sea bream, marinated sea bream, striped jack, and conger eel - Hot pot: Eel and conger eel hot pot - Grilled dish: Grilled salmon with miso and angel prawn - Simmered dish: Conger eel and burdock root with summer vegetables in kudzu sauce - Tofu dish: Yuba (tofu skin) with toppings - Tempura: Conger eel, tilefish, shishito pepper, eggplant, pumpkin, peanuts, and bean sprouts - Rice dish: Mixed rice, miso soup, pickles - Dessert: Black sesame pudding, tofu mousse, crystal jelly with melon The appetizer was eggplant jelly with sesame cream sauce, which had a nice sesame aroma. The sashimi was served with plum sauce for the eel, homemade soy sauce for the fish, and matcha mayonnaise for the vegetables, accompanied by perilla leaves and real wasabi. The hot pot had a strong flavor of burdock root, and adding ginger and green onions overpowered the dish. The grilled salmon was delicious, and the side dishes included pickled fish, dried persimmon and raisin butter sandwich, vinegar-pickled myoga (Japanese ginger), and edamame. The tempura was served with dipping sauce and matcha salt, and each piece was crispy. The rice and miso soup were both tasty, and the dessert was satisfying, especially the black sesame pudding. Although the dishes were meticulously prepared and there were many courses, there were no particularly outstanding dishes. The staff were very polite and provided excellent service. We left feeling full and satisfied. Afterwards, my daughters and I enjoyed shopping, making it a happy and memorable day.

During the coronavirus pandemic, this is a safe place to visit! Even at the counter, there is no crowding. If you make a reservation, they seem to provide a private room. This time, I had lunch with sashimi. Sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi, and three other dishes - all were amazing! Can you believe you can eat such good food at this price? The sashimi was fresh, tempura was crispy, and even the vegetables and fish that I usually don't like were delicious. The soup that came with the rice cake dessert was also tasty.
